I'm just gonna write what i have planned for the intro of my game (still in alpha)

Matt heard the familiar voice of his father from downstairs. As he walked down the steps, he had to rub the drowsiness from his eyes. At the bottom step, he could see several other adults with his father. the sunlight from the window made their white coats stand out. His father saw Matt standing in the doorway. "Matthew, I can't help you right now. I'm sorry, but I'm busy."

Matt didn't say anything in response, just walked out of view. But not out of earshot of the living room, he still could hear them from in the hall. One of the men in the white coats asked, "so, what's this new, groundbreaking invention you were dying to show us?"

His father replied,"right here, it might not look like much. But you see, This machine is capable of manipulating the space time continuum via polarizing subatomic particles. I will give a brief demonstration." a click could be heard, but other then that nothing happened. His father then said in a worried voice. "That's not right."

Another one of the scientist asked in a even more worried voice" what do you mean th-"

Silence. There was no sound, none. He then noticed that the light too had gone. It was dark, and cold. The darkness wasn't pitch black, more so a faint glow from all around. But then it went darker, not in a smooth transition but almost as if a light switch went. The cold was cutting deep into Matt. As if it had cleaved into his soul as well. The void greedily swallowing him. The event seemed as if it spanned over hours, then it stopped. The ordeal not lasting more than a couple seconds.

Now Matt could hear sounds again, it was the sound of birds chittering, leaves moving in the warm breeze. He could even feel the grass he was laying on, he finally realized his eyes were closed. Matt opened them. Bright greens of the trees, the clear blue of the sky overwhelmed him. This was a stark contrast from what he had went through seconds before. But after a short moment, his eyes adjusted to the light. Matt looked around, nowhere to be seen was his house. Nor his father.

He stood up and noticed a apple sitting on the ground, a little bit hungry he picked it up. Looking it over no visible defects could be seen. Matt looked around once more, this time seeing a path he must of not noticed. He then gazed over the two ways he could go. He chose to go to his right. After walking down the yellowish path, that looked well used, he saw an animal he didn't know. It seemed to be some kind of cat, much bigger and it had horns. It's mottled fur consisted of browns, tans, and blues. The beast looked at Matt, not with any menacing look but with one of confusion. As if it too was looking at something it had never seen before.

Matt wasn't scared, moreso filled with curiosity. Not even in his books was such a creature. He didn't really know what to do, normally big animals eat people. He looked at the apple still in his hand, he decided to give it to the cat thing. Matt took a cautious step towards it. And extended the hand with the apple to it. The beast looked at the apple then at Matt. As if questioning this action. The cat thing took the apple with a paw as big as matt's head. It looked a Matt once more before passing him and continuing down the path in the direction matt had came from.

Moments later Matt came across a sign. It's text was written in a language unknownst to him. It had two arrows one pointing ahead and one pointing to the direction he had just came from. The were labeled, but Matt could not read them. But with really no other options he just continued forward. He could see a humanoid figure in the distance. Matt walked a little faster pace as to catch up with it. After a minute or two of this he came close enough to see it was humanoid, but most likely not human. It had two horns atop its head and either white hair or white fur. It was wearing clothes, and had a back pack. Matt didn't know what to do, it wasn't like he had many other options. So he decided to see if it would help him. So he walked up to it and tapped it to get it's attention. The creature jumped a little, then looked down at matt. A look of surprise and of reconization. Matt could now see it's face, it had a muzzle that held sunglasses on it's bridge. He now realized it couldn't be human.

The creature took off it's sunglasses to reveal orange eyes, that seemed so bright as if they had their own light source.it' then got eye level with him. And spoke,"how did you get here, lil' fella?"

Matt just looked back with a puzzled look.

"Not much of a talker huh?"

Matt nodded

"Alright, how old are you?"the creature sat down on the side of the path, still paying attention to matt

.

In response matt counted out to 12 on his fingers.

"Huh, my name is Markus. Ummm, hold on." markus takes off his backpack and pulls out a notebook, papers sticking out of it. He looks through the pages a couple fall out, after he picks a empty sheet he returns the fallen ones to their proper place. Markus then fishes around his bag for a moment, and retrieves a pencil. He hands them both to Matt and asks "what's your name?"

Matt wrote his name down on the paper. He wasn't sure if marcus would be able to read it, matt thought back to the strange writing on the sign. But to his surprise markus could read it."so your Matt?"

Once again matt nodded

"Do you know how you got here?"

This time matt shook his head. In response markus sighed, as if some unbeknownst hope had been denied. "You might as come with me to kinton."

Matt made a confused look on his face

"Right, you're not from here. It's a small town, i've been staying there trying to measure some oddities in my readings. they've been acting up for the past week, maybe that's how you got here."

Matt didn't respond just looked at markus.

"Come on, it's almost sunset." markus put his backpack back on, then his sunglasses. Matt walked close behind, for the first time he noticed markus had a tail. After a while sunset did occur, at this point markus took his glasses off again. His eyes had the same color of the evening sky. After a few moments the sun faded completely out of view behind the mountain range in the far distance. The darkened sky was soon pin pricked with thousands of starts. Matt noticed two small moons and one big moon in the star streaked sky.

After more walking the forest became less dense. They could now see the lights in the distance. Markus looked back to matt, his orange eyes giving off a faint glow. He said to matt "there it is." matt looked at it, he could make out the silhouette of buildings. But some had the oddest architecture. Nothing matt had seen before, some buildings were in trees, some were built on the ground. As they got closer matt could see some had windows, others did not they had openings in place of windows. They finally entered the

town.

Markus lead them through the town past a handful of creatures, each would stare at matt, just like the cat thing did. They probably didn't see humans that often. They were of all shapes and sizes. Markus led them to a building, it had a sign that said something. Markus noticed matt looking at it, then said "that says portish inn. They speak english but write in their own language. Come on."

A few moments later they were in the inn room, matt's attention was caught by a plant. A flower, it was just that this flower had a face. After staring at it the flower finally said something "what?"

Matt jumped

Markus replied, "he's not from around here, he's from the same place i was. Matt, Boli. Boli, Matt."

The flower held out a leaf."nice to meet you.

Matt gently shook the leaf, then markus spoke. "So let me try to teach you about the world you're in now."

Markus pulled a chair from the desk behind him,and gestured for matt to sit. He did and markus sat on the bed.
