"S-saria," Dante said in a near whisper, tears starting to flow freely from his eyes.

This time it was her turn to have her eyes widen in shock at her long lost friend previously believed dead.

"Dante?" she asked herself more than him unbelieving that he stood before her.

And for the first time in ten years they both smiled in pure joy at eachother. He drew her into a deep embrace.

"Ohhhhh Dante, it is you," Saria returned his embrace.

The three warriors collected themselves off the ground and stared at the sight before them.

"Ummmm what the hell," said one of them, a short brown female with a single black stripe going down from her nose to the tip of her tail, "arn't we fighting him?"

"We were, but I don't think so anymore Lin," The tallest of the three answered her not tearing his eyes off the scene.

"Dosn't he look familiar Mat?" the shorter mailed asked, his marking were exactly the same as the tall one, grey with white flecks on thier muzzles and necks, a black stripe on either side of thier spinal cord staring between their shoulder blades and ending just before the base of thier tail.

"He does doesn't he Mick?" Lin replied, Mat stayed silent watching the two before him.

Broght back to the world by the conversation Dante and Saria broke thier hug and turn to the others.

"Guys," Saria looked to the three, " we need to go home."

"WHOO HOOO!" Lin cheered while bouncing up and down, "Hot food. hot bath, and a night out of the cold.

"I swear Lin," Mick chuckled "if you sr=tayed away from home for longer than a week you would drop dead on the spot."

"Hey!" Lin replied with a fake look of hurt on her face, " I wasn't the one complaining how cold it was last night."

"I stoped when someone curled up with me," Mick had a devilish grin

Lin scratched the ground with her foot paw in embarassment, "I only did that to shut you up" she said quietly.

"What was that?" Mick still grinning.

"Oh drop it."

"Why?"

"Because."

"Because why?"

With that Lin tackled him to the ground laughing.

Mat strode over to Dante. " I will return that throw you gave me." and ran into the underbrush.

"Big brother!" Mick called shoving Lin off of him and following "wait up."

"Mick damn you get back here," Lin chased after him.

Saria looked into Dante's eye one more time "Let's go home Dante."

"Home...."

Meanwhile. good ol'baldy had escaped out of a hatch in the bottem of the buggy and was running throug the tree tripping over logs and running into thorn bushes. "Damn tha mongrel I treated him well and this is how he repay me?" he continues running "got to get to the Coliseum they will know what to do."

It took three days of non stop running to reach the village and when they got there darkness had fallen an hour before. Mat had lead the way not stopping once until they broke the cover of the trees into a field of long grass. Up ahead there was a wooden wall surrounding a large village. Saria and the others howled into the night sky, and waited shortly after howls from the village answered them and they preceded to the wall.

When they got there the gates were wide open with fifteen guards outside swords drawn and shields up. Archers followed thier movements from towers.

"Saria! You're back!" a dark grey female ran out through the guards and lept upon Saria.

"Hey Ang." she looked over the others shoulder "where's the elder shouldnt you be tending to her?"

The guards parted and in the distance the party could see three people walking slowly tword them. The group kneeled as an old fem wold approuched her fur a light grey. Dante the only one left standing in the group looked around until Saria pulled him down. The other two people were heavily armed and armored wolves presumably the womans bodyguards.

"Saria you have returned was your hun succesful?" She asked

"Yes grandmother, but not the way we expected." Saria replied standing and gesturing to Dante.

"Look what we found auntie Minerva" Lin bounced up and hugged the old woman.

Minerva eyes widened as she saw Dante. "I don't believe it." she walked over to him and tugged on his shoulder getting him to stand. "Dante Lyal."

Mick and Mat had stood up behind him. "Now I remember him" Mick exclaimed. Mat just glared silently at the back of Dante's head.

"Oh dear," Minerva exclaimed holdin up Dante's arms the broken chains on his shackles clinked. "I need to know everything that has happend to you young one."

"Grandmother we are very tired and would like to sleep." Saria interjected.

"Yes where are my manners" the old woman said apologetically, " we will take care of everything in the morning."

With that she turned and started to walk back into the village her bodyguards following. Saria pulled at Dante's hand and they followed as well.

"Well I feel dirty I'm gonna go to the hotsprings." Lin declaired before runnning off into the village.

Mick started to follow her but stoped as he felt something on his shoulder.

"We have to see mother and father first Mick." Mat said wile walking past him into the village heading in the opposite direction of Lin.

"Dammit," Mick cursed before following his brother.

It didn't take long before Dante was asleep after Saria showed him the guest room. As far as he remembered he never had a bed so soft. In the next room Saria layed awake stairing at the cieling a warm fuzzy feeling in her chest.

"What is this?"
