#3 of Hunter

Like all brothers do, Hunter and Koda play harmless pranks on one another. This time, however, Koda has the perfect prank that will truly be unforgettable.

Koda smirked as he left the living room. Hunter sat on the couch, about to watch the Fox Hole, the newest show on ESPN. Like always, Hunter wore what he called his comfy clothes: t-shirt and sweatpants. Koda giggled and waited for Hunter to get fully settled before springing his trap.

He pulled the remote out of the back of his pants and turned on the VCR. Almost immediately, a cheery tune began to play. Koda sat down in his hiding place and hoped that this whole thing would actually work.

"Barney is a dinosaur" Hunter sat straight up as the song began.

"What the heck?" Why was Barney on? He looked around for the remote, but couldn't see it. "Koda!" He yelled. "Where's the stinking remote?" Koda did not answer, knowing that Hunter had no idea he was hiding close by, holding the remote in both paws. Hunter cussed under his breath and moved cushions around trying to find it, the theme song continuing on the television. Koda's ears twitched as he realized that Hunter had begun to hum along to the song, tail swaying rhythmically. His frantic shoving around of the cushions slowed and he began to turn toward the television, now singing along, albeit quietly.

"Barney shows us lots of things, like how to play pretend." Hunter sang, dancing a bit in place. He seemed to have a strange shimmer to him and he now looked only about thirteen or fourteen rather than his usual sixteen. Koda gasped, taking care not to make any noise that might break the spell.

Hunter's sweatpants slid down, but he did not seem to notice, dancing out of them. He now seemed entirely taken in by the show, singing loudly and dancing in just his t-shirt and tartan boxers as if he did not have a care in the world, which seemed hilarious as his voice kept cracking.

"Barney comes to play with us, whenever we may need him." Hunter sang passionately. "Barney can be your friend too, if you just make believe him!" As if to punctuate the end of the theme song, Hunter's boxers shifted and changed into a pair of navy blue briefs, Koda's eyes widening in amazement. His mane was now much splotchier and his voice had settled into a higher, childish register. He was now about eleven or twelve, Koda's age. To Koda's delight, even though they were the same age for the moment, Hunter looked more immature, with barely a tuft of mane.

The video continued. It was a clip show of Barney songs and Hunter seemed to know every word and motion associated with them, unperturbed by his continued regression. Koda grinned as Hunter's underwear changed to a pair of tighty whities with some stains to show frequent accidents. By the end of the next song, Hunter was eight and clad in a Scooby-Doo t-shirt and matching Underoos. His mane no longer existed and Koda could not help but think how much Hunter now resembled their mom.

"Oh, Mister Sun, Sun, mister golden sun!" Hunter sang, dancing along with the cubs on screen. "Please shine down on me!" Koda's grin widened and he purred as Hunter's upraised arms lifted his shirt enough to give Koda a perfect, unhindered view of what he had been waiting for the most. All at once, Hunter's Underoos puffed out and became Pampers, appropriately adorned with Barney, just as his shirt now was. Hunter was five years old, but potty training was a skill he no longer possessed.

Koda could hardly wait for the video to end so that he could run out and gloat about what he had done. He could hardly believe that his sixteen year old big brother was now a baby kindergartner in Pampers. He regretted not filming when Hunter had been a teenager singing and dancing along with Barney, but he figured he had enough blackmail now as it was. At long last, "I Love You" came on and Koda could emerge from his hiding place.

The instant that the television turned off, Hunter looked down at himself and yowled.

"What the heck?" He exclaimed! "What happened? I was just about to watch the Fox Hole..."

"Now you've got a new favorite show." Koda teased.

"What did you do to me?"

"I made you into the baby." Koda giggled and patted Hunter on the head. "A little baby boy in puffy baby diapers."

"Change me back."

"Sorry." Koda said. "I only got the tape that does this to you. I forgot to get the one to turn you back."

"Koda, I swear to god." Koda shrugged and easily evaded Hunter's attempts to hit him.

"You'll grow back up. It'll just take a decade." He laughed at Hunter's face. "It's not so bad. You'll be a whiz going through elementary school again. And you'll have your big brother to help you out if you have tough homework." Hunter hissed at him and Koda giggled. "Only baby kittens hiss."

"Well" Hunter's ears flattened and he stopped talking.

"You're right. You are one now." Koda realized. Hunter frowned.

"I guess there's one way to get revenge." He turned around and stuck his butt out at Koda just as his tail flagged.

"Oh, god!" Koda groaned as Hunter filled the seat of his diaper.

"Guess who has to change me." Hunter said. Koda desperately searched for a way out of this. With a flash of inspiration, he turned toward the hall behind them.

"Mom! The baby's messy!"

"Mom?" Hunter said in shock. The office door opened and the lioness stepped out. "Alright, Koda. But you've got the next two diapers. I'm very busy." She came over and picked Hunter up. He yowled as she pulled out the back of his diaper. "Did someone have a little too much fun watching Barney?" She cooed, tickling his tummy.

"Mom! Koda" Hunter began, but she simply shushed him.

"Shh, baby. Mommy's going to get you into a nice, clean diapie." She looked to Koda. "Koda, where's the baby's pacifier?"

"I don't know where he lost it." Koda replied smoothly. "I was looking for it." He gestured toward the tossed around cushions. His mom nodded and guided Hunter's thumb into his mouth.

"Suck on that, little one." She cooed. "Koda, get this place cleaned up while I'm taking care of the baby."

"I have a name." Hunter mumbled around his thumb, finding it oddly soothing. The lioness smiled and carried him to his bedroom. "My room!" He exclaimed, staring at the nursery in shock.

"That's right, baby. This is baby's nursery." Mommy said absent-mindedly. She set Hunter down on the changing table and, removing his thumb from his mouth, popped a pacifier in instead. Fishing in her pocket, she pulled out her iPhone. She dialed and held it between her ear and shoulder as she began to change Hunter's diaper. "Hello? Yes, hello, Mr. Ketu. I'm sorry for disconnecting from the conference call. My boys were playing a bit loudly and now the baby needs his diaper changed." She paused to listen to the person on the other end. "Yep, I knew what I was getting myself into when I said I'd work from home." She wiped Hunter's bottom. "Frankly, yes. Koda's more than old enough to change the baby, but he's still a bit squeamish about the messy ones." She smiled down at Hunter. "You're a stinky baby, aren't you?" Hunter grumbled, upset that the phone call kept him from being able to explain the predicament. "Anyway, about those projections from last quarter." He rolled his eyes, feeling terribly bored by the lioness's grown-up talk. He wanted to be watching Barney! He realized a second later that that was not what he wanted to do! He had to find a way to reverse this! He could not believe that big brother had done this to him! Wait, Koda was not his big brother, was he? Koda was older than him, and taller, and he did not need diapers. Maybe Koda was his big brother. Yeah, that sounded right. He ran through it again, but something still felt wrong.

He felt the lioness rub powder into his fur and he looked down. His weewee looked wrong too. Why did he feel like it used to be bigger? He had a clear image of having a much bigger weewee, but he also remembered last night's bath. It looked the same now as it had during last night's bath. He shrugged and filed it away for later. Mommy and Daddy saw his weewee every day during changes. They would tell him if something seemed different.

"Mommy's sorry about that call, sweetie." She said, taping the diaper around his waist. "Now, what was this about Koda being mean to you?"

"I think he made fun of me for watching Barney." Hunter said, trying hard to remember just what the argument had been about.

"Ah, well how about you hang out with Mommy for a while? You can play in your playpen in Mommy's office while Mommy does some grown-up stuff."

"Okay!" Hunter excitedly hugged the lioness. He loved being Mommy's little helper!
