I was waking up, Vic was already off my lap and stretching out. With a yawn and a grunt, I stretched my arms than said "Good morning babe"

With a soft blush he said "good morning Jax babe"

"how did you sleep last night" I asked as I slowly stood up.

"pretty good" he said "how about you?"

"pretty good too" I responded with a nod. "so, what you want to do today? go for a walk so everyone can see how cute you are and not just me?" I joked.

Vic blushed hard and said "well... I... uhhh... I-I'm shy, don't like crowds, a-and your my first boyfriend, I've only been with girls before"

"ahh, I see" I said "You said we are a couple on Facebook, but are too shy in real life... Regardless... How about we walk to the store, shouldn't encounter too many people, than I lead you to a place for a picnic?"

"wont run into anyone at the picnic spot?" he questioned.

I shook my head "no, the only other people who go there... uh.. Go in the winter."

"okay" he confirmed with a smile, his tail wagging "I'll start getting some stuff ready"

"well..." I said "If you can find enough to pack here, we won't even have to go to the store"

"I'll see what I can do" he said as he went in the kitchen.

By the time we where ready to go, Vic had one of those big reusable fabric shopping bags packed so full that I'll have to carry the blanket. "is That everything babe?" I asked.

He nodded and said "yep, so we don't have to go to the store?"

I shook my head saying "no, just follow me, ok?"

he nodded and I opened the door for him, shutting it behind us.

I walked through his back yard and onto a trail in the woods. I paused to get my bearings. "my house is this way..." I turned right "so we gotta go this way" I started leading the way.

After about fifteen minutes of walking on the trail, we came to a big soft grass field that was atop a hill, overlooking the town and much of the area around it "here it is babe" I said.

"oh my god" he gasped and lay the bag down "how did you know where this place is?"

I shrugged "I try to keep myself busy..." I pointed to the top of a mountain many times higher than this hill "I could show you right to the top of that mountain if you want me to"

"not now" he said.

"fair enough" I spread the blanket and sat on it.

"will this grass stain my clothes?" he asked.

"It's never been cut, so I don't think it would" I responded.

The second I finished that sentence, he was down and rolling in the grass, enjoying how soft it is, and laughing loudly.

Eventually he was done and I had the plates and glasses and a bottle of drink all ready for the picnic.

. Vic came over and sat down panting, smiling and wagging his tail. "having fun babe?" I asked, getting only a nod in response. I looked in the bag "looks like you really wanted sandwiches on this picnic" I joked as I started unwrapping one that he pre-made and put in.
