A young woman is walking in the streets of a down town outlet
She takes a step on to the road to cross the street
All of a sudden she gets jerked back; she goes wide eyed as a large truck passes in front of her running through a red light
"Are you alright" a voice from behind her asked
She was still in a bit of shock but she nodded

*a few months later
"So let me get this strait... you won a radio contest and you're inviting me to go skydiving with you?" a slightly confused female voice said over the phone
"Oh yes and I know your one of the few people who would come with me, but don't worry you won't be alone I'm bringing a few old friends of mine" another female voice replied
"d-do I know any of them?"
"Probably not but they're really friendly... please Tanya I would really like another girl to come with me"
She sighed before answering "alright I'll go, just because you're going to need me there" she pulled the phone away from her ear as to avoid the squealing from the other end
"That's great! The radio station is picking us up tomorrow morning so make sure you wake up early 7 o'clock sharp"
*click* Tanya's friend hung up
Tanya was a fair skinned human female with brown hair flowing just down to her shoulders and to most that how she was seen, but she was different she was truly a naga but in places like the city you get less noticed as a human so she often kept to that form sometimes letting her tail loose behind her if she felt comfortable
She was often very shy and didn't trust people, but once she had made friends she stuck to them and was very protective, always remaining by their side when they needed her the most
Now one of her friends had invited her to another one of her "thrill seeking missions" never considering that maybe she might be over doing it, but Tanya being one of the few people her friends had come to count on she just went along with some of the possibly dangerous things her friends brought her into but she always knew she was strong and could handle pretty much anything that came her way
Tanya sighed again before putting the phone back on the receiver thinking about why that crazy bunny Janet always tries to do stuff like this
She went to her bedroom and looked at the clock 10:58
'well I might as well get to bed now if I'm going to wake up on time' she thought
She set an alarm for the next morning and shut the lights before heading under the covers to sleep
A few hours of restful slumber was enough to make her feel at ease for the day ahead
She was awoken by the alarm going off, she looked over at it 6:10 it read
She got out of bed and shut off the alarm, she headed into the bathroom to get herself ready before she was to be picked up
After she finished up she put on some light clothing knowing they were going to make her change anyways and headed out of the door where a van was waiting to pick her up at her front door
The door to the van slid open and inside Janet was waiting
"Hey Tanya hurry up we have to go" Janet called signaling Tanya to get into the van
Tanya run up quickly and got inside, the door slid closed behind her as the van started to move
"I'm so excited I can't believe I won and we get to go to the grand opening of the new concert stage when we land" Janet squealed
"yea..." Tanya said sounding not as excited
The van drive to a large aircraft bunker and the driver stepped out helping the ladies out of the vehicle
He led them to a large room where he instructed them to wait as he went to get their suits for the jump training
Then Tanya noticed two new figures enter into the room from another door
"Yax! Dylan! I'm so glad you came" Janet ran up and gave them both a hug
"Heh well I wanted to see the look on your face as your falling thousands of feet" Yax chuckled then he looked over Janet's shoulder "so who's your friend there?"
Janet grabbed Tanya's arm and brought her closer to the boy's
"This here is Tanya, Tanya these are my friends Yax and Dylan" she introduced her to the group
Tanya sighed as the two boys held out there hands she didn't want to meet new people but with Janet it's hard to avoid
"Tanya... that's a beautiful name" Yax said
Tanya looked at him and felt like she had met him before but just couldn't place it
"th-thanks..." she slightly blushed and was about to reach out to shake their hands when the door to the room swung open and the driver holding a few special sky diving suits, a human that seemed to know what he was doing, and the radio station manager a very loose dressing hippo with his unbuttoned Hawaiian print shirt and cut jean shorts
"Welcome winner and friends! Are you ready for the big promo jump?"
"YEA!" Janet and Dylan shouted while Tanya and Yax kind of just spaced out from the question
"Well let's go then" the hippo led them to another room where the driver gave them the right sized suit as they went through the door
"Just head into the change rooms and we'll meet you in the practice zone" he showed them the change rooms and the entrance to the practice zone
Yax and Dylan went into the men's change room and Tanya and Janet into the women's
"So Yax do you know how to do all of this sky diving stuff?" Dylan asked removing his shirt
"Nope... I don't think I really need to learn though" Yax answered unzipping his pants and pulling them down
"How do you figure?" Dylan asked
Yax removed his undershirt and flexed his wings
"Right..." Dylan said pulling on the one piece jumping suit
They both finished dressing and stepped outside of the dressing room a moment later the girls came out of the other room
"Oh don't you look sexy in that" Janet walked up to Dylan and tickled under his furry muzzle
Dylan blushed a little seeable through his white fur
They head through the door to the practice zone, when they entered the floor was grated and below they could see a large fan and the human standing off to the side of the padded walls
"Hello friends I am Robert your instructor today, now lets get started" he flicked a switch and the fan below started to spin
Dylan's vulpine tail lifted and swung wildly "well this is interesting" he said just before his body began to lift off the ground
Janet's thin form began to drift upwards as well, her laughing in excitement
"Just relax and try to balance yourself forward to go further up" Robert called out to them barely being heard because of the fan
Tanya started to float upwards; she kept calm as she attempted to stabilize herself
"Yax what are you doing down there come up here already" Dylan shouted to Yax who knew how to hold his body down in an air current
Yax sighed "alright, but don't complain when I show you all up" he moved his body as to start lifting off of the ground keeping his wings folded letting the air shooting upwards do the work for him
"Good, good, you're doing things perfectly" Robert said before joining them
He then showed them all of the basics of keeping balance in the air and how to make sure they land right where they need to when the time comes for the jump
After about two hours of training they were given parachute packs and they headed towards the plane that would bring them to the jump point
As the plane took off they all waited to be told where and when to jump
They reach their altitude and they could see the stadium below they were to land in
Janet was quivering with excitement she could barely stand it
The group waited as the side of the plane opened to let them jump, the instructor was to go with them and they agreed to listen carefully or someone could get hurt or worse
They were given the signal to jump and just then Janet, Dylan and the instructor jumped out of the plane, Tanya and Yax hesitated a little but then jumped out following the others
Janet was yelling out her excitement showing and there was the possibility that she was drunk...
"Ok guys in about 4 seconds pull the cords and let the chutes out, I repeat pull the cords!" the instructor yelled and after a few seconds he pulled his the cord and letting the chute loose and pulling him upwards slightly above the group
The others followed but when Tanya had pulled her cord her arm got caught in one of the tethers
She screamed as her chute tangled and twisted, sending her corkscrewing downwards
Yax noticed her screams and instead of pulling the parachute he unfolded his wings and flew to her
He grabbed onto her and bit the tangled tethers as to let the chute float off
"It's alright I got you" Yax said wrapping his tail around her waist to make sure he was holding her securely
She was still shaking the feeling of falling and possibly almost dying it scared her, but she started to feel calm as she looked up at the dragon that saved her
"Now I remember..." she whispered to herself
The others began to fall slowly reaching their level where Yax was hovering
"Is everything alright?" Robert asked
"Yes we're fine, but I think she's a little shaken I should get her back to the bunker and take her home" Yax replied
"That sounds like a plan, I'll be sure to remind everyone else that you've left" he said as he fell lower
Dylan and Janet then fell to their level
"We'll meet you guys back later alright"
"Oh ok... Tanya ... make sure if your still not feeling good later to call me, don't get me to worried" Janet said falling below
"Have fun at the concert stage you guys" Yax yelled to them both of them waving back
"Let's head back, I don't think you like being in the air this long after what just happened" Yax started to decline slowly heading for the bunker to get there clothing before heading home
As they landed Yax still held on to Tanya carrying her inside
"I'll let you change and then I'll take you home" he set her down gently and rubbed her back a little to comfort her "if you need me I'll be in the other changing room ok" her helped her to the changing room door and let her enter before going into the other door
Tanya immediately sat down on one of the benches in the room as she thought about what had just happened
She shivered from the thought of falling like that, and then felt better as she remembered Yax holding her, he was really beginning to like him, she remembers now where she had met him... and how this was not the first time he has helped her
She felt compelled to do something in her mind she really didn't know what was going on until now
She stood up and headed out of the change room
"Yax?" she said into the men's change room
"Hmmm? Oh uhhh... Tanya just give me a moment to pull my pants back up" she spotted him grabbing his pants from the locker
She walked in and held his shoulder "it's alright you don't have to" she said and Yax put the pants back into the locker
"...alright... did you need to talk?" he asked
She got closer to him "I...just wanted to thanks you" she hugged him
Yax hugged back "oh... don't mention it... you're my friend and you needed me"
Yax looked down behind her and noticed her tail "hmmm? You have a tail?" he asked
Tanya looked at him and blushed a little "yea... I'm not quite as human as people think... would you... like to know what I am?"
"What do you mean?" Yax asked confused
Just then looking into Tanya's brown eyes a hint of red sprouted and spread as she grew scales all over her body that were changing from a light brown to a deeper red color
Her tail extended as she started to balance on it, her muscles grew but she managed to still hold a feminine figure
As she stretched in her full form she wrapped around Yax once and hugged him again
