Shy is cute (part 2)
I managed to get Vic to get off me so we could get up "So" I asked "Where can I take my boyfriend out for a date?"
He blushed his cute blush and said "Well, Jax" he said "It's kinda late, not a lot of places are open, and the places that are open are probably full of people who had reservations"
"True" I said with a nod and shrug "but who says we cant have a romantic five star meal right here?"
He asked "will I have to do the dishes?"
With a shake of my head I said "Nope"
"Go to hell with it than, as long as I don't have to clean, do whatever you want" He stated.
I smiled and said "Go in your room so you don't... Uh... Spoil?... The surprise"
"fine by me" he kissed me on the cheek and went to his room.
I said to myself while looking through his fridge and freezer "It doesn't really matter what I make... By definition romantic is just going out of your way to make something nice for someone you love..."
Really? Hamburgers and sausages are just about the only thing he has that I can make... I sighed "oh well, I can work with this"
I took it out to let it thaw out as I set the table, setting an unscented candle in the middle, not yet lighting it.
Something suddenly clicked to me... Once he made these cute heart shaped cookies, so thinking logically for once, I deduced that he must have some heart shaped cookie cutter! I started digging through the drawers, almost cutting myself about half a dozen times on knifes and other sharp objects. Right before giving up, I found it, the heart shaped cookie cutter.
After putting in way more effort than I'd put in for anyone else, I came away with two cooked heart shaped hamburger patties, I put them in the buns along with whatever I thought he might like on it.
I set the burgers on the plates and dimed the lights before lighting the candle. I walked up to his room door and gently knocked on the door "It's ready babe"
"just a sec" he said as I could hear him getting up and coming to the door. He opened it, I gestured for him to follow me before walking to the dining room.
He gasped when he saw the over the top set-up, I glanced at him, his face, a visible red even through his fur. "Oh my god!" he said "Y-you put so much work in this for me!"
"Your well worth it babe" I said as I pulled out a chair for him, than sat across from him.
"So, what's on these anyways?" Vic asked as he gently lifted one side of the top bun, gasping and dropping the bun back on when he saw the heart shape.
I smiled "nothing but love" I said with a slight giggle "dig in babe"
...
We finished eating and I blew out the candle and turned the lights back up. "so, how was it Vic?"
"Oh my god Jax, it was great!" he said, still blushing.
I set to washing the few dishes I made dirty, I could hear him typing something on his phone and soon enough, my phone vibrated, I pulled it out and checked it. It was on Facebook, It said "I have the best boyfriend ever :D With Jax"
I put my phone in my pocket and set the dishes aside to air dry. I walked over to Vic and picked him right up out of his chair, tossing him a little and catching him in a cradling position "Aren't you just the sweetest? you cutie" I said, trying to get his cute blushing, with great success. "I love you" I said as I sat on the couch.
"I love you too" he responded.
I set him down on the couch with a kiss and said "your a bit too heavy to do that as long as I'd like to"
"That's okay" he said as he climbed on my lap "I'm fine taking a nap here" he nuzzled his head in my chest and shut his eyes.
I held him tight like this and rest my head back "I love you babe... Good night"
In a cute tired voice, he responded "night babe"
We fell asleep.
