#16 of Seekers

History log: 2030: 80% of Earth's Nuclear Power stations failed, causing intense meltdowns and a spread of radiation covering 90% of the world. 2032: The GUN, or 'Globally United Nations', agree to establish a prototype city as a refuge against the radiation that covered the planet. 2035: Against long odds, TyrCity is successfully constructed, and split into three separate layers: The Undercity, The Lower City and The Upper City. 2040: Major crime syndicates and Organizations are developed. Enforcers are introduced to suppress these syndicates. Previous Leader: Elle Green 2020-2074. 2055: After years of struggle, Enforcers and The GUN put an end to all major crime syndicates across the city, and begin to develop new cities across the planet. 2060: Following areas are developed: VegaCity, Nulline Metropolis, and ArpeggioCity. 2065: Radiation levels have diminished, leaving more space for construction. 2070: Vega has experienced immense radiation poisoning, leaving the major population irradiated. This has also given birth to new bio-technology research. 2071: Constant tests on radiation has given birth to new Super Soldiers used as law enforcement, formally named 'Arch-Angels'. 2074: Elle Green is assassinated at the hands of a rogue Arch-Angel. Control over the Enforcers is handed over to Elle's adopted daughter, Aarl Green. 2080: Further expansion reveals a new breed of mutated organics, known as 'Demons'. 2084: Arch-Angels are transferred to city borders as a defense against Demons as well as other threats to the cities. 2090: Officials have begun enlisting youths into the Arch-Angel program due to the diminishing of the soldiers. This project was set back in 2093 due to the destruction of Arpeggio. 2094: Nulline Metropolis Enforcers have come into possession of a highly advance A.I, known as 'Sarra', and plan to use it as an information distributor. 2095: Arch-Angel program is cancelled and all law enforcement has unified to create the Hellfires, named after specialist Enforcers inhabiting Nulline Metropolis. 2101: After seventy years of immense radiation levels on the surface, most radiation has decomposed, and Earth has returned to its natural state, allowing room for reconstruction. 2175: All cities have been successfully altered and built to adapt to the surface. The following cities have been recorded: - TyrCity.

  • Nulline Metropolis.

  • New Vega.

  • New Arpeggio.

  • Allegretto.

  • Falsetto. 2180: Current Date. No important history recorded. My name is Kobalt; I'm a White Fox named after the color of my tail. I was adopted, so I don't really have a last name. Most people call me Kobalt Monday, though. I'm fifteen going on sixteen, and my life is one of the best in the city. That is, if you like the kind of 'services' I provide. I'll admit it; I'm a 'Fox for hire'; mostly during the night, when I'm not too busy. I often need to keep up with my studies; that and other things. See, New Vega was a place full of dirty little secrets and trades that the Hellfires didn't know about. I was one of the people who delivered things from us to them. By us, I mean Club Phymn. The club was basically a cover for something much dirtier; Seekers. Seekers were basically couriers; delivering drugs, information, and more to other illegal businesses. The streets were too dense with law enforcement; so guess what way we had to deliver by. Rooftops; Seekers had to jump from roof to roof, breaking into and out of buildings, up, down, everywhere. I was a Seeker. I was adopted by the club manager when I was still just a cub, and was trained to be one of the best Seekers in the business. I was living up to the club manager's expectations so far, and in return I would earn my keep and more. I felt like I was living life to the full; jumping across buildings during the day, and getting some with the clubs 'potential customers'. And it felt great. Location: New Vega, Club Phymn (Pronounced Fim), Room 172. Time: 10:30am. Year: 2180, March 5th. I slowly woke up to the ringing of my alarm clock. My eyes were still closed, and I was reaching out blindly to hit the clock. It only took a few seconds to finally hit the button, leaving me in silence again. I couldn't get back to sleep, so I just stayed awake and tried to think straight. I was so numb I couldn't feel all of my body. I opened my eyes, looking around my room. The walls were made of dull steel, and were layered with patterned wallpaper. I followed the patterns all around the room until I had to turn around to keep following it until I saw a large arm wrapped around my chest. I had followed the arm up as far as I could turn my neck. I sighed and looked up. I saw a Green Dragon's face above me, eyes closed. I felt his other arm run across my back, as if he was stroking me. Luckily, his arm was wrapped around loosely, so I had enough space to turn around and hug the Dragon's chest, leaning my head against him and moaning softly as I listened to his heartbeat. "Comfy?" I heard a voice ask. I jumped and looked up. I saw the Dragon's eyes staring directly into mine. "How long have you been awake?" I asked, still moaning quietly. "I didn't hear you get up." "I've been awake for quite a while now." The Dragon replied, wrapping both arms around me. "I'm surprised you didn't notice." I nuzzled my head against the Dragons chest, enjoying every moment of it. My fur felt like it was on fire from how much warmth was coming from the Dragon, which made me moan in pleasure even louder so that he could hear me. "Enjoying that, little Fox?" The Dragon asked, laughing. "You seem to be enjoying that a lot." I blushed slightly, and was breathing rapidly. The Dragons shaft was now rubbing slowly against mine; and both of ours were slowly getting larger. I pulled away slowly before I ended up having him inside me again; or else I would end up walking funny for a while, no matter how much I would enjoy the moment. "What's the matter, Foxy?" The Dragon whispered into my ear. "Afraid I'll rip you in half?" "You said you were hiring me for the night." I thought up quickly. "You do know what time it is, right?" "What if I haven't paid up yet?" He replied craftily. "I may not be completely satisfied with-." "You paid up front last night." I interrupted. "You gave it to the hotel manager since we were both too drunk to handle the money ourselves." The Dragon stayed silent after that, and must have been trying to think of another way to persuade me to submit to him. Unfortunately for him, he couldn't think of anything whilst I was getting out of the large double bed, having a long shower to get everything off of my fur, and getting dressed so I definitely wouldn't end up in bed again. My way of 'putting on clothes' was much different since I was a Seeker; all Seekers wear a white jumpsuit made from leather. The inside was lined with silk so the jumpsuit wouldn't chaff our fur or skin. It was rather flexible for leather, which was perfect for when we were jumping across buildings. You may be wondering why we wore white instead of black or darker colors. Well, all buildings in New Vega were made out of brick and cement; but more importantly, they were painted white. We even had hoods that almost went fully over our faces to keep our identities secret; and since we weren't in the public eye, it didn't matter how odd we looked! "I'm guessing that it'd be useless to ask you to get back in bed with me." The Dragon sighed, still in bed; "But I might come back tonight, if you're not too busy." "Sure; that'd be nice." I replied, putting on my white shoes and gloves. "You'll need to check with the manager, though. I'm not even sure who I'll be sleeping with tonight." "I'll do that." The Dragon said, getting up at last. "Now what was your name again?" "Kobalt Monday." I replied, walking over to him. "What was yours?" "Damien; Damien Archer." The Dragon replied, bending down so we were both at equal height. "I hope to see you again tonight, then." I leaned over and planted my lips on his, giving him a kiss that lasted for so long that I was starting to run out of air. I slowly removed my muzzle from his face, trying to act as calm as possible, and not making it obvious that I needed to breathe. "I hope to see you again too." I whispered into his ear, and walking slowly out the door. Once I was out, I took in a few deep breaths of air, and walked down the corridor and into the main hall. Surprisingly, the hall wasn't as packed as I had expected; there were only a couple of Seekers up by the bar. I decided to join them and have a nice, cold glass of water to cool off and wake myself up. "You look like you had a rough night." One of the Seekers laughed. I turned to my left and saw a black Wolf, looking directly at me. "A Dragon." I explained bluntly. "Nice, though; besides, I like my customers like my drinks; strong, and able to get me in bed for the night." At that, I took three large gulps of the water, finishing it off. My mouth was so dry from last night's action, and I needed something to sort that out. "So how do you get through the night?" I asked curiously. "Aren't you Wolves supposed to be the dominate ones?" "Some want me to be dominating." The Wolf replied. "Besides, not all of us live by our nature. That's something you may have trouble understanding." "How so?" I asked, turning to him and looking at him eye-to-eye. "Where do I start?" The Wolf asked himself. "You're for hire, you're dealing in illegal businesses, and more importantly, you're completely submissive." "How would you know that?" I asked him, slowly placing my hand on his. "Been spying on me?" "What can I say?" The Wolf replied. "You've had my attention for a few days now. Just so you know, nothing serious would happen between us though." At that, he removed his hand from mine, and walked away. I just sat there and continued drinking. I stared up and out of one of the windows set in the ceiling. The sun was gleaming down into the room. One century ago, I wouldn't have the comfort of such beautiful weather and views. I brought my head back down and thought. This was the life.
