"Benevolence? No, he's not here. He's probably back on his isle." The deer rolls his eyes.
Ask why they put forbidden magic on the list.
"Because," the deer grumbles, as though he's answered this question many times before. "The Academy used to teach those arts. Regulations, however, means we're obliged to inform prospective students that we don't teach them any more. Many hopeful applicants come here from the far reaches of the world because they believe we still do. Does that answer your question?"
You nod and thank him.
Re-read the newspaper for current affairs.
You examine the Valewood Chronicle again, and find that its articles have not changed since you examined them earlier this morning. Hamsterdam feat. Ossum Opossum suggests musical magic might be practical. Ars Magica Amphitheatre exploding sounds like a duel gone awry. A career in duelling, perhaps? Or some sort of builder? Then again, AMA isn't the only place you can study either...

The Valewood Chronicle has openings for amateur journalists and would-be writers, and The Celephaïs Atlas is hiring. It doesn't say what position is open, though...
