#8 of The Rowans and The Greys

Helen hadn't expected Mike to get home so early. She'd spent most of the day sitting on the couch watching television, popping popcorn into her muzzle as she enjoyed a Neville Longbottom movie marathon, so when the door had opened and her husband yelled out, "I'm home early," she'd nearly leaped right out of her fur. Though her initial fright easily melted into a more flirty mood. She rarely got her husband home during the day, and usually he was off doing some project on weekends or spending hours locked in his "cave" working on a model or two. She felt like she needed to act, and she did.

The vixen had rolled off the couch after putting the popcorn down to grab her tod and pull him in for a very spicy kiss that took Mike off guard at first only for him to start to melt against her. "Welcome home, honey," Helen said in a warm chur, her fingers still gripping his jacket tightly while her tail flicked and flitted about behind her.

Mike smirked as he dropped his briefcase to grip his wife by the hips, pulling her in nice and tight. "Can I have my dessert early," he said as his nose poked hers.

"Oh, we're DEFINITELY having dessert now," she quipped back to him before giving him a long, deep kiss.

Several hours later, the two foxes were laying by each other in bed, Helen's head resting against Mike's chest as the two idly watched the Neville Longbottom movie marathon. "So, what's he like," the vixen queried as they kept watching the flashing images on the screen.

"Hmm? Oh. You mean Kody? He's a good kit," he said as he gently rubbed his wife's shoulder, "Not like his dad at all, which, was refreshing."

"Oh?"

"Yeah. Smart too. I think he knew who I was before I did," Mike let out a sigh, "He kinda looks like Chris too."

Helen giggled as she rolled over onto her belly beside her husband, the TV completely forgotten. "So he's all muscular and dreamy, like your big brother," she said with at tease that only made Mike laugh.

"No. They've got the same build, but Kody's more husky than Chris was," he replied only for his wife to giggle, "So he has a cute little curly tail?"

"What," the tod said in confusion until he realized his word choice, "No. Not like that. I meant... I mean... he's more tubby than Chris was."

"Ohhhhh," his wife said in a slightly mocking tone as she laughed, "Did you find out what he does for a living?"

"I did, actually. He's a fi... er... bomber pilot in the Air Force," he said. His wife smirked, "Oh, well, we should probably keep him far away from Victoria and Alexis. My sister dated one after college. She said he would hit on everything that was female and had two legs."

Mike rolled his eyes and shook his head, "No. That was Chris, and he hit on anything with two legs. Besides, I doubt Kody would go after his cousins. That's just... bleh." The tod stuck his tongue out at the mere thought.

"I'm just kidding, honey. I'm sure Kody's a nice tod that would never go after his cousins," Helen paused before she started to think, "Would you like to invite him over? Maybe see if your father would like to meet his long-lost nephew?"

Mike let out a sigh. He was going to have to break the news to his father about Kody, but he wasn't sure exactly how to do it. Richard hadn't been to see his son at his home since his grandkits graduated High School, even though Mike had invited him over many times. The only way this was going to work was if they went out for dinner. This was going to get very expensive very fast.
