Varnym Vhabb, A head researcher and designer for Avionics was the forerunner in projects involving the weaponization of Zenithium. She designed an ingenious device which could harvest the stones energy and use it to set off a "nuclear" reaction. It involves the use of an onboard fission chamber that disrupts the stability of the crystal structure in a way which causes it to violently dissipate in a surge of light and radiation

Initial experiments were done on a small scale and seemed successful. Varnym personally supervised the transition from the model experiments to a full-sized test. Scientists began to question the weapon in these stages of development, claiming that it had no purpose, as the radiation released by the reaction was considered benign by most researchers.

Varynym stood firm behind her project. The missile would find its place. Zenithium is a material that has yet to be applied in any manner in science. The mere novelty of her device alone is enough to grant her merit. At least in her eyes.

While doing a test on preliminary systems, an integrated Zenithium based component in the device fails, releasing an uncontrolled amount of radiation in the facility. Their equipment is irreparably damaged and Aviontronics is forced to shut down the operation entirely. Thus, Varnym nearly loses notability in the scientific field.

Several years later there is an unlikely occurrence. Those who were in the facility at the time of the accident began to speak of having hallucinations and seeing "spiritual beings", some even claimed to have powers. A small few simply went insane.

This served as the unintentional test trail of another application of Zenithium.

Biological weaponry.

When Varnym herself began experiencing reactions from the radiation she decided to make a public statement, claiming that all experimentation involving Zenithium radiation should be halted. She deemed the prospect, 'dangerous' and 'not at all worth it' before forcibly shoving government officials and members of the press out of her path in an attempt to leave the press conference.

She later publishes a very opinionated editorial on the subject, presenting the collective reactions of her and her personnel, the source of the failure in her device, and a further analysis of the type of radiation released from the stone during the reaction. At the end of the paper she forcefully reiterates that it is 'toying with fate' and 'not at all worth it'

During the war of Diadact her research is reproduced and misused by a group of ABWA scientists. Soon after, they began to consider opportunities for the biological weaponization of the material. At a critical stage of their first experiment the scientists reach an obstacle in their design. Unbeknownst to them, Varnym had secretly left out a key component of the detonation system rendering any reproductions of the device useless.

Upon inquiry to share the concealed information Varnym spat in the face of an ABWA representative, called her 'tactless' and 'a true imbecile' before proceeding to shove the mouse out of the doorway of her apartment and into the hall.

Later that week the ABWA recovered the missing data from a seemingly irreparable hard drive salvaged from the original Avionics facility. They then move forward with their experiments, using the resulting subjects as weapons during the war. After the wars end the project went quiet.

In more recent months' claims have been made that a herd of "creatures" had been seen spilling from the gates of a supposedly abandoned ABWA base in the silver plains. These claims have now been confirmed and sightings of the creatures are rising in number.

Soon after the incident, Varynm herself made a statement to the public, confirming that these creatures were indeed related to Zenithium radiation experiments, claiming that 'this' is why she hid the information in the first place and that the ABWA researchers are all 'idiots' and should 'consider practicing necromancy instead of science'

In the weeks following, the statement backfired. All attention was turned to her. Why did she release the information about the project in the first place? Why didn't she keep quiet? No one cared to consider that it was all a warning, a loud proclamation of 'Don't do this!'

In those same weeks the first vestiges of the Civilian faction began to take shape. Varynm would stand the idiocy of her ruling officials no longer.

Unfortunately, this was by no means the end of Varynms struggle with the ABWA. It is said that these experiments continue, hidden away from the public inside of the top secret ABWA base at Freeza.

That base has now been breached, and Varynm will stop at nothing to apprehend whatever is inside and destroy it before it can do any harm to the public.
