Have a stroll around town.

As you are already dressed, you pocket your keys, your coins and, for good measure, your wand.

The streets are occupied by the occasional pedestrian. The breeze dances through the void that keeps them apart, dancing, whispering, caressing you as the clouds part in the horizon. The sun beams down upon you, past the faint mist dancing far above, underneath the isles in the sky. The street leads to a busier world, past the twin obelisks that separate haven from town.

You have a feeling it's going to be a long day.

Enter town.

Past the obelisks it is a few minutes of wander before you enter town. A market lingers close to your apartment buildings, no doubt a strategic placement, while across the street is a café , with a sign on which is written _ breakfast menu - with complementary newspaper. 27 crowns _. There is a bus stop five metres away, though absent is its companion. Neighbours of the market and café are a bookshop and a news agency. The street becomes a crossroad shortly thereafter, where the occasional car passes through this cosy town.

Get breakfast.

The café has a few patrons, some who chat idly of recent rumours and the latest news. The till is manned by a bull, who gives you a curious smile. You order your breakfast menu, the bull gives you your complementary newspaper, and you find a seat.

Read newspaper while waiting for food.

The newspaper - named Valewood Chronicle - holds the recent activities of its namesake. Of note is that the new semester at AMA and VUST begins in a week's time; Hamsterdam - a crew of rappers - is holding a concert soon, featuring Ossum Opossum ; there is an opening for amateur journalists at the Valewood Chronicle ; the local quizzing team Nevermore qualified for the regional championship and will be attending in three days; the local game store, The Celephaïs Atlas , is hiring; and the Ars Magica Amphitheatre has once again exploded after a duel went out of control.

The bull brings your breakfast menu as you muse over the various articles. The meal is simple but filling, and when you leave the café, your hunger is sated.

Paid 27 crowns; new total, 1473.
