"Oh. You're welcome." He offers a small smile.

Ask if he'd like some company for a while.

"Thanks, but... now's not a good time. Sorry."

Wish him a nice day.

"You too." He closes the door. You stand alone in the 2nd floor the hallway.

Ponder personal gender.

DID YOU JUS-

You check your nether regions.

Male.

Definitely male.

There is no reason to overthink this.

Go check the mailbox.

You ignore the other doors and go to the stairwell. It leads down to a hallway that is a little longer. Six doors adorn the two walls, numbered from 101 to 106. The hallway takes a left turn just past the furthermost doors. You advance down the hallway and take the left turn. The rest of the hallway consists of a single decorative painting ;two rows of mailboxes , with corresponding numbers; a single window, which reveals the outside world; and the building's entrance door_._

Look out the window.

Outside is the night. It washes over the street, held only at bay by a smattering of street lamps. What little you can see consists of multiple identical building blocks. The streets are empty.

You feel a little cold.

Examine mailboxes.

The mailboxes are all locked, with a slit on top to slip in letters. There are few names to be found on the boxes. Most of them appear to have been recently scraped away or removed. There are half-names like -Ex,-Son,_-Ttir_on the 2nd floor row. 203's tag reads R. A. Abrams; 202, however, is nameless...
