It was the third year for Robert at his new high school, he had finished year eight, and was moving on to year nine. The slightly black tinged fox straightened his school shirt, finished putting his laptop in his bag, and headed out the door.

"Did you pack your lunch?" his mum sang out to him just as he opened the front door.

"Yes mum!" he said with a sigh, even though he was lying. But it was in his nature to lie, he was a fox.

He had started his Ten-minute walk towards school; it was really close in comparison to all the other students living in the Doonside area. He hated walking to school, not because some mornings it could be freezing cold and he could barely walk, not even because on a Thursday he would be tired from the sport on the Wednesday afternoon, no it was because he dreaded walking up to Power St. and Milson Rd. corner, for he would know that nearly every morning, the hyena Suzanna would be waiting at the corner for him.

Now let me tell you something about Robert, all his friends at school, Nilesh, Sunny, Edward, Jake, and all the rest, would call him by his last name, Fredricson. Not to embarrass him, but because it was convenient after a previous kid at the school knew these kids first, it was easier to call Robert, Fredricson, and he had gotten use to it. Robert was also 167cm from paw to ear, an orange, yet with a hint of black, fox, who had been on the SRC for two years, excelled in all his classes, except English, which he put it down to the teachers bad teaching skills. He loved anything technological because he could pick up a brand new clock-radio-dvd-amplifier-toasteroven-remotecontroll, and know how to use it without the instruction book, that is if one of these things existed. And from the information already read you can tell he is a teacher's pet, but he never liked this term. He simple told all his friends when hey said that, "I'm just building a reputation." Be this as it may, in his mind, if he got a high enough rep. at school, he could do almost anything and the teachers would look the other way.

But back to our main story, he feared seeing Suzanna on the corner because she came from Africa, he wasn't racist it was because she came from Africa, she wanted new friends, and because Robert was polite enough to make conversation, she took it as an indication that they were best friends. Robert on the outside was polite, kind, willing to help, but high school was changing that in him, he started becoming part of the crowd, a sheep if you will, but he was determined to stay as polite as possible and keep his cool. So even though on the inside he hater her guts, he hated his families guts, and everyone at schools guts, he was nice and polite, several times he tried to giver her the hint that he didn't like her at all by trying to ignore her, but every time he cracked and started talking.

It was the second week at school and his math class had a quick test on what they had learnt last year, Robert became lazy towards the end of the test and just wrote anything. He knew his high scores from the whole time last year would carry on this year, so why bother going so hard? It was hard to beat a 98% average. But that's where he was wrong; he got his test back, a 51% mark.

"How did this happen?!" he exclaimed to himself. His mark had fallen so low, but that was just the beginning, test after test he made small or no improvement of the last test score. It just wasn't adding up. 'What am I doing wrong?' he thought to himself, he had gotten lazy that's what. His whole school thoughts on how things work and knowledge of everything he learnt started slipping away, he was so consumed by the fact that he once resided on top, now a new comer to his playground was beating him. Robert was confused and scared as to why this change was occurring, but that's when his life really started to flip around. That's when he met Avick, Avick the wolf. The new concepts that Avick brought to Roberts world consumed his every thought, things such as...
