#1 of Varuvl of a thousand Moons

A mixture of Human, anthropomorphic creatures and an assortment of other creatures in a magical world. Betrayed by the vampires, Flametail and Silverfur must take their human sibling to Varulv of a thousand moons. With the help of Tristian and Ergadeth, they flee into the forest.

"This! This goes against your word!" Farner hissed and circled around the council room.

The shadow wolf's lean frame was shaking with fury. Long black fur seemed to spark red slightly as he paced, crimson eyes focused on the vampire that stood before him. Silver steel wrapped around the wolf, imbued with the magical sigils of the wolf tribes. His fangs were fully bared at the unconcerned vampire as it merely shrugged.

"All I ask is that you surrender your wife to me." the vampire rolled his eyes and sat forward. "I doubt that is too much to ask? She is only a human afterall."

In the back of the council, the ancient wolf Bristlefur chuckled and signaled to his clan's pups. Motioning directly to Flametail, the elder leaned forward and whispered into the pup's ear. Flametail's snout twitched a couple of times, the seriousness of the situation fully awakened to him. He howled to the other pups and all forty of them rushed off into the darkness.

Bristlefur took a second to watch them go, a sad smile on his face appearing as their future fled. He straightened himself out and made his way to the front of the council, wolves making way for their leader without a sound. Even the angry Farner let him pass, calm coming to his aura upon the presence of the elderwolf.

"It may have... escaped your memories oh great one" Bristlefur chuckled, "but I do happen to believe that you swore an oath to allow my grandson here to protect his mate?"

The vampire's brows tightened in irritation as he sat up to address the elder. "And what pray tell, is going to keep me to that promise? The events have changed and now we must act upon it. If you are unable to obey me, I shall simply just tear through you all until human child is in my hands."

"Well i suppose if that is your stance... you're in for a surprise" Bristlefur laughed, stretching slightly before going into a crouch. "Although you seem to dismiss the importance of that oath, my family sees otherwise."

"You will regret your decision" The vampire hissed before leaping at the elder wolf.

The two collided mid-air as the council erupted in battle. Dark slim shadows formed and mercilessly cut down any creatures in their path. The wolves were much more fortunate, having prepared themselves at their leader's arrival. Despite that, blood quickly stained the stones as howls filled the air.
