Bookstore Stag

Been ages since I was able to get any writing out. This one is pretty short, but hopefully it'll get the creative juices going again.

You ever have that place that you pass by nearly every single day, think it looks interesting, but never manage to actually go into? Of course you do. You're probably picturing it right now, aren't you? For me it was The Book Nook, an unassuming shop taking up the corner spot in an old downtown building right next to Issac's Bar and Grille. I must have grabbed a burger and brew a dozen times at the bar, always telling myself that I would check out the bookstore when I was done.

It may be unfair of me but I was mildly surprised when the door squeaked open and there were other customers. Not just that, but my nose twitched at the delightful bouquet of coffee and old books. Unfamiliar jazz came through the speakers just loud enough to hear but not enough to be distracting. The store was a lot bigger that it appeared from outside, mostly because of how far back. Beyond the polished wood cases, sitting areas, and carpeted floor were what looked to be library-style metal shelves packed to overflowing with what must have been used books. I felt my muzzle curl into a smile as my head nodded. This place was perfect. Shame on me for ignoring it for so long.

"Excuse me," a young vixen politely squeaked as she bumped past my rudder-like tail. Well, shit. I was standing in the door like a moron, wasn't I?

I sheepishly moved out of the way and looked up at the hanging signs displaying the various sections of the store. "LGBT" grabbed my attention for a store in such a small, conservative town. I'd make my way over there, but not straight away. Like I said; not the most progressive town and years of being quiet about who I am made for a hard habit to break.

Right about then was the first time I caught that pair of piercing blue eyes watching me, or at least I think they were watching me. Always had a thing for bright eyes like that. The pair I was likely not-so-subtly looking at belonged to a handsome stag. He was in what looked like a very comfortable leather chair, book held about chest high and steaming coffee on the small table next to him. I reasoned that he hadn't been looking at me but was simply minding his own business unlike I was; staring like a creep.

I picked a random book from the shelf and feigned interest in the back cover until I was satisfied that the stranger hadn't noticed me gawking. It always seemed weird to me when people would hang out in bookstores reading like he was. I supposed that if the stores had an issue with that sort of thing they probably wouldn't provide comfy areas to sit and read in.

The history section that I had purposefully drifted towards looked promising. They had a few of my favorite books, which, I'll have you know most stores didn't stock. A particular naval history item got my attention. Old school ships and nautical things fascinated the hell out of me. Stereotypical for an otter, I know. At least I'm not going to tell you how I was on the swim team in high school and how perfectly toned and sleek it made my body. I had a little bit of a belly going on, but nothing overt. Oh, and I was totally on the swim team. Mhm.

My eyes peeked over the book I was flipping through just long enough to get another good look at Bucky Blue Eyes over there. Aside from those eyes there wasn't much out of the ordinary about him. Maybe a little black mark on his muzzle that you saw sometimes on deer and all the damn time on foxes but it was hard to tell for sure from where I was. He had a dark sweater vest over a button up and khakis which was a really great look for him. Then there were the perplexingly erotic antlers that everyone I knew got turned on by. No exceptions here, trust me.

Well, would you look at that; the LGBT section. A full aisle, too, not just the usual couple of shelves of sleezy covers. There were authors I'd never heard of there and many of them had short, hand written bios on the bottom of the shelves near their work. I hadn't seen that sort of thing before. Usually stores just had some gay romance and social issue selections. The Book Nook was showcasing authors, even ones from small-print publishers.

The gorgeous cover art on one of the books facing forward got my attention. There was a leopard looking out the window of some sort of spacecraft towards the endless expanse of stars. He looked sad about something. I reached for it with a webbed paw, but recoiled and jumped slightly at the unexpected voice behind me.

"That's a good one."

I snapped my head around and saw those amazing eyes up close. "Um, thanks? Were you watching me?"

"You were doing a lot more watching than I was," he laughed.

"Sorry, uh, so what's this about?" My ears burned red hot with embarrassment as my eyes darted between looking down at the floor and up at him.

The pleasant smell of just the right amount of tasteful cologne came from the buck as he stepped behind me, tickling the fur on my neck and something deeper down as he spoke. "Mmm, it's about a man who's crewing a colony ship on a long range mission. He left behind a lover without telling them that he'd be gone for decades."

I nodded dumbly, only half following what he was saying. My mind was wandering to things quite unrelated to science fiction. The stranger had been handsome from afar, but up close he was downright intoxicating. His smirking face was impossible to ignore as he moved from being behind me to my side. He stretched a finger out towards the books and searched across the titles with it.

"Of course," he stopped at one, tapping at the Adults Only label on the spine, "given your recent history of eye-fucking random men in public this may be more your speed."

I was going to say something witty, I really was, but just as soon as I thought I had something I felt a firm pat on my rump. This guy was fucking good. He was still smirking, though those pretty eyes were pointed downwards at the strained front of my pants. Suddenly aware of my obvious arousal I tried to shift my hips around in an attempt to get things to tuck away at least somewhat out of sight.

"Tell you what," he whispered into my ear, giving me a shiver. "How about you follow me and we take care of that problem of yours. Can't have you walking around my store like that. I sell books, not tents. Besides, give the customer what he wants, am I right?"

His store? Well shit. He didn't wait for me to say anything-just headed off towards the back of the store calm as hell. Bastard even gave his white-tail-topped booty a playful shake. Probably a hundred scenarios raced through my mind in those next few seconds. Ten minutes ago I'd been afraid to even go look at the gay books, now I was thinking about screwing a random dude in public?

I followed him. Don't act like you wouldn't, either. He didn't say a word as we passed by a few customers back into the room I'd seen earlier full of old books, past even those where he stopped an unlocked a nondescript door. He flipped on the single overhead light to reveal a little maintenance type room. Cleaners, mop bucket, fuse boxes, and a small table and chair topped with a bottle of whisky and laptop. Must have been his unofficial office. Was hardly enough room for both of us, I thought as he locked the door behind me.

"Drop your pants, cutie," he stated matter of factly as he grabbed a bottle of lube from his desk drawer.

I did as I was told, unbuttoning and carefully unzipping past my erection. After that I let em fall to the floor, exposing myself to the cool air. I was breathing heavily as he looked me over down there. He approved with a nod and rumble.

Lightly furred fingers wrapped around the middle of my shaft in a gentle squeeze. I looked down to watch a dribble of pre leak out onto his wrist. See, I was thinking a blowjob was the likely situation there, but that was before his other hand squirted a healthy portion of lube on me. I half-lidded my eyes as he stroked back and forth, coating me thoroughly.

Then the hand was gone, leaving me throbbing in anticipation as he, too, dropped drawers. I watched, transfixed on his sac and bouncing shaft as he slid a few fingers under his adorable tail. It didn't take long before he was bent over his desk and giving me a "go ahead" nod.

I guided my tip past the soft fuzzy buns and against his hole. It didn't take much of a push to get past the initial resistance and, after halting a moment to make sure he was alright I let myself slowly slide in until his ass and my hips met. We stayed like that for a few seconds, letting the intimate parts of our bodies get used to each other.

He moaned when I pulled back, and when I started thrusting he grabbed at the far side of his desk, head down. Whatever lube he had was fucking amazing, cause I was sliding in and out with no problem and believe me he wasn't loose. I angled my body over his slightly and the change of penetration got a gasp out of the buck. His insides contracted with it as well, giving me an ecstatic squeeze which drove me on harder and quicker.

The air in the little utility room office was cold no longer. It was filled with panting, body heat, and the smells and sounds of sex. It wasn't going to be a long affair for me, I knew that right from the start, so I threw caution to the wind and grabbed one of his antlers and tugged back firmly while reaching under him with my other hand and giving his thick cock some attention.

That was pretty much it. Those two things drove him fucking wild, and he bucked back into me, grunting and huffing and coating my hand with warm cum. I wasn't far behind him, and any semblance of rhythm I had going went out the window as I thrust with abandon as I felt my world shrinking to the singular purpose of orgasm. It hit hard, and I'm sure I made a fair bit of noise as my hips slammed him and stayed pinned while I throbbed and released deep inside him.

For a few minutes we stayed like that, just catching our breath and staying in the moment. I could feel him wriggling a bit, so I let go of his rack and pulled out slowly. Of course, I gave my handiwork of a messy hole a quick look.

"Well," he huffed. "I needed that, damn. Might I make a suggestion?"

"Sure?" I blinked, caught off-guard in my post coital blurriness by the unusual question.

"I think you should sign up for our frequent shoppers card. Got a feeling I'll be seeing you again."

I laughed, shaking my head at the awful joke.

"Yeah, might be a good idea. How about we grab a coffee and, ya know, learn each others names?"

With that, he winked at me with one of those blue eyes. "Alright."
