It is said that man knows fear just from a sight. This is not true as man can't not truly see fear but only feel it as the heart fails to compensate for the shock of true fear. During the many years man has lived on Earth only a few have made contact with beings that can cause this. As we look in to the past we do not know them as they are always brought down before a record is made. Many more have been brought to insanity for these discoveries and we only know them from a psychologist view and the rare few that shakily wrote it themselves. Why does this drag on like this...

As well begin at this point in time. The modern age does any one know what a fear of what lurks in the shadows really is? We gave many cults that delve into the worship of many beings to try and bring great fear to those we dislike or hate. I have recently done the research into these many aspects of life to find the truth, the scraps of scribbled horrors to compile the truth and a solid state of what fear should be known as.

'Oh my gosh I just might fall asleep if there is nothing more to this intro... Maybe I can find what I want if I just skip some. Does this thing have a index?'

With a flip of a few pages the reader found what they had been looking for and placed a finger on the page to scroll through the chapters, basic spells, conjuring and summons, advanced alchemic productions. These were a few that they had skipped over as they found what they wanted. As they flipped the pages of the stolen book they took some care as the book was very old and the pages had withered from abuse and weather. Though this meant they skipped over some main points they would later regret skipping but that is for the later time. Warning being ignored and only rushing through the texts to only catch what they wanted to learn. Stopping through the summonings to a page titled 'Demon Slave'. With glee they skipped over the descriptions and warnings again to look at the ingredients list and the process to complete the desired action. Scrawling down the list on a small note pad for the shopping list as most of the items would not be simply lying around. With a book mark slid into the page and the list in pocket they shut the book and headed out of their home. As the door shut the light of the day splashed onto the pale face of the thief and soon to be summoner, so they thought at the least.

This story takes the accounts in fear of this individual, a young woman who was too eager to not be alone. This girl looked much like the stereotypical librarian, the thick glasses, outdated clothing, a girl that never stood out because she never tried to. So over the years she was forgotten by most save a friend or two but never by a lover. She believes this was her chance to have someone forever by her side. So she would smile brightly as she strode down the streets to find the specialty shops that might carry all she needed.

Going to many different shops that specialized in paranormal and old god worship as she was told. Many items needed to be special ordered as they were rare. Some even needed to be gotten by her own hands as they were illegal to procure. It helped she didn't care about others and because of her past was now lacking I some emotions. With the items gathered it was now time for the ritual to begin. First was to draw the many sided star, nine points in all. Each blank space was inscribed with a designated rune as the book told her. This as one might guess was done in the blood of one that was pure in body. Next was the two circles that surrounded the star and inside those circle she drew more runes in perfect patterns as she had practiced them in paper before wasting her materials. The process did not take much to prepare for and was almost done. Now laying out the candles at each point of the star, the smell they let off was putrid since it was made from animal fats. This luckily was soon covered up by the many herbs she started to burn in the bowl obsidian. The mix she burned was most of the required list it seemed, letting the exotic flowers and different powders whisk into the air. As she sat in the innermost part of the star on the biggest rune of them all it was time for the last piece of the ritual. In a hymn she started the cherub's chorus of the chant, pronouncing each word clearly and loudly.

With her eyes closed she recited the practiced chant through the many versus. Most was in a language so dead that anyone listening wouldn't have known what she was trying to do. It wasn't until it was almost complete that it seemed to react and start to show itself as a successful endeavor. Even though she had left all the lights on the area about the circle dimmed, the only noticeable light was the rituals blood imprint flaring with the sickly crimson. As she finished out the chant she smiled to herself thinking that she had completed everything perfectly so she waited now. The runes pulsed brightly as they beckoned to her call the ground seemed to form into a dark mist about her. She now waited in excitement to see what it was that she had brought from the shadow worlds. Though this never happened and instead she suddenly felt something cold wrap about her ankle, before having much time to react she felt it at her wrists to. As she gasped out and went to struggle away in a panic not knowing what she had done wrong since this couldn't have been what she had worked towards she got to reach out but her hand was stopped as it got to the edge of the circle. The circle was a barrier now that forced her inside. This was the last she felt before she felt the cold grip around her neck, fading into unconsciousness as she was dragged into the dark below as the ground faded away, tugging her to where she thought the creature would come from not were she was to go.

After she had been pulled into the floor her mind went blank, as far as she knew she black out. She had no clue how long it was before she woke up. Slowly her eyes opened to see that she was not in her home any more. Shooting up fully, now in a panic finding herself in some unknown land. As her eyes wandered she calmed only slightly because it appeared she was alone. It was a odd place like a dream scape, a revision of the natural world. Where she was laying was a grass field, several trees spotted the land but that was all that was normal. The skies cracked with flashes in the heavy dark clouds yet it was as bright as a summer day. Even the colors of the sky started to change slowly as if it was all an aurora above her. She could not do much as her mind was trying to register where she could possibly be. As she sat wondering on her surrounding and what she should even do there was a loud noise suddenly started to kick up around her. It created a breeze that brushes the grass and her hair about, it soon sounded like the beating of feathered wings. Looking around her in a panic as more confusion was added to her situation only to find nothing. As the sound died down she went back to how she was sitting before, with a gasp she fell back now seeing someone before her. The person seemed to be a man dressed in a finely tailored suit and he overall was very well kept. Though with no apparent wings she had no clue what the noise was or how he suddenly had gotten here in the time it took her to turn a circle.
