Any Cave In a Storm

When a down-on-his-luck locksmith finds himself in a sticky situation, he relies on his own wits and talents to get him out. But, when the weather threatens to strike him down, his only shelter is in a cave. He tests his luck, and things get a bit more heated than expected. Not that he minds. An escape from the situation he's found himself in is exactly what he's looking for!

He was tired, exhausted, and more than a little bit irritable. Having a crime he didn't commit pinned on him made a guy like that. Running for hours gave him the first couple symptoms, too. Looking up a bit, the sky looked just as foreboding as the courtroom had. No one expected a locksmith to pick his own shackles, and so he had. Just as much, none of them expected him to dash out of the court as the verdict was handed down. It was a game of cat and mouse for a while after that, but the county mounties had no experience in the matter. Of course they wouldn't, though. Perhaps a dozen officers out in the middle of a town in bumfuck nowhere? If that, even. Even with thousands of people living in the town, they'd never had as big a case as this. Their lack of preparation cost them their scapegoat.

"Fucking idiots. May pick locks, but I'd never murder a soul..." The rough asphalt of the road dug into his footpaws. The thin shoes the guards had provided were less than adequate. Just like everything else.

A pair of sirens caught his ear. Even on this thin little road cutting through a forest, they had officers looking for him. He turned back, looking for the tell-tale blue and white car. Instead of one, there were two. And, when he looked forward again, another one.

"Never was much of a outdoorsman." He muttered.

Not like he had much choice in the matter. Taking a chance, he went against his best guess. As much as his brain screamed to go left, he went right. The first few drops of a heavy downpour fell onto his orange jumpsuit. It felt arctic, even to his fur. If the police didn't get him, the weather would. The thick canopy of branches and tree trunks didn't offer much help in that regard. Getting even this far with the shackles still on would have been a herculean task. As poorly as his locksmithing business had gone, the skills had at least come in handy.

Branches, leaves, and other detritus crumbled underfoot as he ran. He ran, and ran, and continued running until the road was a distant memory. The ground was muddy, and the forest a bit overwhelming. Only his burning lungs made him stop at all. Legs were already a bit numb, but that came with being in a heavy downpour of cold rain. Mist flowed out of his muzzle as hot breath escaped his lungs. Every breath brought icy needles into pounding lungs. It took a few minutes to stop panting. In that time, he realized he'd never been here. Or, rather, he had no idea where he was, and was rather lost.

"Great time to be a scatterbrain." Russet fur and black paws cradled his muzzle, trying to warm themselves up.

Might have been a wolf, but a pack was out of the question for this one. Even with the added warmth, his handpaws were shaking. Dying of exposure didn't sound too great. Especially when compared to the electric chair, or gas chamber. Had only been in this district two years, and already he was up to his neck in trouble! Regardless, the comfort of leaning against a tree had to be discarded. If he stopped moving, he'd definitely freeze, or be caught. Neither of which were attractive options.

It'd take a while, and some smooth talking, but he could get out of this. Granted, it was a bit more trouble than he'd ever been in... but he could find a way. Generally, he always did. Most of the time, anyways. This would take a bit of doing, though. That being said, an extensive network of contacts and friends, and friends-of-friends would help with that. Besides, it'd take an extremely serious crime to extradite him once he was safely away from here.

His brain was beginning to freeze, hide tingling on his scalp from the icy rain. As quick as his thoughts were, they were beginning to slow. A tell-tale sign of hypothermia. A thing he wanted nothing to do with. The woods were seeming more and more a graveyard the further he went. Thoughts of turning himself in felt safer and safer. It'd seal his fate, but at least he'd be out of the weather. A scowl marred his muzzle. It wouldn't do. Escape and resisting arrest would only add to the trumped-up charges.

Luckily, his mutinous mind was redirected a bit. There was a bit of stone jutting out from underneath the dirt. Between the trees, it seemed that there was a cave system close by. And with rock this far up... maybe it'd be above ground. And with a cave, came shelter. Or oblivion as he disturbed a hibernating bear, big cat, or other creature rather ambivalent to his predicament. The wolf took his chances.

The trees thinned as he followed the small stone scars in the ground. They seemed to be a bit of a pathway, as if someone dug down until the rock was bare. It was a windy pathway, but one nonetheless. It wasn't something an animal would do. So, at the very least, he might get a pair of ears to listen to his plight. Though, if the would-be savior and host were anything like the other people living in this backwards place, it would be a very short conversation.

Just as he thought, the earth sloped upwards, and the pathway followed it. The forest was rather thin now, less of a pain to navigate through. It was easy enough to see where the pathway ended. Lead right to the mouth of a large cave. For a cave, it looked to be rather artificial, or at least less natural than most. Thunder roared overhead, lighting up the late evening sky. Even the rain felt a bit colder than it had been in the last hour. The weather was harrying him on. Daring him to escape its' cold, bitter grasp.

A smirk crossed his features. A small marking in the side of the cave mouth looked like Roman numerals. "VI". Six. Someone had been here. And judging from the look of the carving, they didn't use any power tools to chisel it out. Rather, they took a paw to it and carved it slowly, but surely with their claws.

"So, a dragon or a gryphon. Scales... or feathers." He mumbled.

Truth be told, he'd rather the feathers right now. They'd at least do a good enough job of warming him up. And with a critter that large, they'd have heat to spare. Against his better judgment, he walked inwards. Soft light mixed with automatic lanterns, hanging from the ceiling. They turned on as he went deeper. It was an interesting mix of lighting. A small floor panel distracted him, the light instead pointed at the wall, rather than along the centerline of the cave.

"Huh. Fancy." It was another carving. This one was rather simplistic, depicting a scene of celebration.

The figures were simple, little more than circles with thin bodies. Some sort of harvest was being collected, and brought to a much larger figure. The larger figure had much more detail in it, more than enough for him to make it out. It was a dragon. And, if his memory wasn't too faulty from his rapidly falling temperature... An excerpt from a childrens book? The wolf shook his head. Now wasn't the time to be looking at someones' personal artwork. Not while he was half frozen to death.

"Fancy artisan gryphon probably. Knowing most, would talk my ears off until he noticed I'm freezing."

It almost felt like he was losing his mind, talking to himself.

The thunder outside got even more intense, and the rain softly murmuring as it crashed to the ground. At least he had shelter from it, but the wind that came with it blasted further into the cave. And so, the only way away from that was to find a bit of heat. Or just go far enough in that it wasn't a concern any more. But, he already felt like he was invading someones' personal space. Enough little trinkets and homely personal touches attested to that much.

A louder crash than the thunder outside caused him to jump in his skin. Was the owner also seeking shelter? Was it the resident of this cave? Or, maybe a tree falling over. Instinct froze him in place, stuck between running back out into the storm, and hiding. None of them seemed like a good idea when heavy footfalls were getting closer. Faint grumbling reached his ears.

"I was just getting settled in... rain ruining my session shouldn't matter, though. Something smells off, though..." From the sound of the voice, they were big. Big enough for the cave to seem a bit closed-in.

It also seemed that they were easily as mumbly as he had been. Talking to themselves as they stopped at the entrance. He had only gotten two dozen, maybe three dozen feet inside. Fighting the instinct to freeze or run, he carefully, and quietly, walked further inwards. Was less of a walk and more of a crouching, sneaking motion, he supposed. Stealing glances back towards the entrance, a large, looming figure was staring at the carving he had. The outline was soft, but it was more than enough to tell there were no feathers.

"_Great... it's a dragon."_The wolf thought to himself.

"Carving could use a bit more work." The dragon commented on their own work.

He had no time for the dragons' rumblings. There was a larger, more open area just a bit further ahead. It was better-lit than the mouth of the cave, and, from what he could tell, had even more of the occupants' possessions. He flattened himself against the wall, trying to avoid the automatic lights. He creeped along the wall, another step or two and he'd be in, and temporarily out of sight. His heart was pounding loudly in his ears.

"Y'know, that orange jumpsuit makes sneaking more difficult."

The criminal-turned-escapee froze, ice pouring through his veins. Caught. Again. He let a loud sigh escape his lungs, and put his hands up.

"I swear I didn't do it, and I'm freezing..." It took all the strength he had left to not faint.

"Didn't say you did." His... captor walked into the light. "I was just commenting on your attire."

"I'd rather a pair of thick jeans and coat with the weather. But, no point in fantasizing about that." The wolf felt even more defeated than before. He couldn't even sneak past a dragon.

"Fantasizing is fun. But, with the way you look, and the weather outside, it's no time to be returning you from where you came."

He slumped to the floor, his back against the hard stone wall. The dragon was probably hungry, and looking for a snack. No one would care if a criminal was issued a rather unorthodox death sentence, and no one would come looking. But, he'd be damned if he cried.

"That cold? Come further inside. It's warmer there." A large muzzle nudged at him.

"Just get it over with..."

"Get what over with?" More of the dragon was illuminated by the overhead light.

Pretty blue scales, with a short mane running down his back. Wings looked a little battered, but overall, he looked well-fed. And would be a bit more well-fed once he stopped playing around. Another sigh from the wolf.

"Now's not the time for that. Besides, I'm not hungry at the moment. Come, get up, and tell me your story while you warm up. It's not my place to dispense with that justice."

His arms had somehow crossed his chest at some point, but the dragon was having none of that. A slightly cold, damp muzzle nudged him again. Hazel green eyes looked a bit like they cared. Or perhaps that was curiosity.

"If you're not going to get up, then I'll have to pick you up." That muzzle turned into a frown. A large paw wrapped around him. Easily large enough to crush, yet still gentle, for some reason.

"Why aren't you-" The dragon shushed him.

"Like I said. You're going to tell me your story, and then I'll judge whether the people of the nearby town have someone on the loose worth returning to them. In case it wasn't obvious, I'm not fond of them." He rattled on.

A spark of hope filled the wolf with animation. As the dragon hobbled into the den, wolf in hand, warmth seeped back into his fur. If he could spin it right, then it'd be a case of leaving after the weather stops... and potentially freedom! As awkward as it was though, it felt rather nice to not have to use his shivering form to move. More of the room came into view as the rather large dragon walked, one halting step at a time. There was furniture?

"As nice as this is for you, this is where you get off." The wolf was dumped unceremoniously on a large pile of covers, rugs, and soft things.

"These are yours, though." The smell of dragon was a unique one, and not easily mistaken. The covers were full of it.

"I'm aware. Warm up. I'll be back momentarily. I don't have to worry about you wandering off, right?" The dragon didn't wait for an answer. Instead, he padded out of sight, into another branch off of the room.

The smell of the resident dragon clogged his nose, causing him to sneeze. But, with the sheer amount and variety of covers, he soon had bundled himself up. Cold, wet fur and jumpsuit made it a difficult process. Numb paws had a bit of feeling after a few moments. Even with just his own body heat, it felt a bit less chilly. But, he was too busy thinking to enjoy that. He had to come up with a cover story. Or, at least embellish his own... No one would believe that he was picking a lock for a client when he found the body. Not even a dragon would fall for that one.

"C'mon Mack... something or another should be good enough." His chattering teeth butchered the sentence.

The dragons' ear flicked, as he returned with a gift.

"Hmm?"

"N-nothing." The wolf lied.

"Well, if it's nothing, then here's a bit of something." His blue muzzle was stained with a bit of off-red. His latest victim?

"Trying to fatten me up?" As good as the meat looked, it wasn't cooked, nor did he trust the dragon completely just yet.

"Well, all that shivering is going to cost some energy. And, in either case, I'm sure it'd be better if you were well-fed. I'm sure the gruel they serve hasn't changed since last I visited." He sounded as genuine as a dragon could.

"Could we at least cook it first?" The maned wolf brought his muzzle up, even the raw meat smelling good to him.

"Oh! Right. Sorry, very sorry. I forgot that most prefer cooked meat." The off-red disappeared as the dragon turned to rustle through the place.

"For a large dragon, he has a shapely-" Mack cradled his head, cutting off the thought. What insanity had gotten in with the cold?

Watching the dragon poke his nose into everything, and upturning a few piles of stuff was amusing, oddly. A short snorting giggle escaped his muzzle.

"Guess it would be entertaining. Really should organize this better."

Mack covered his muzzle. Did he just offend his host?

"S-sorry." He squeaked.

"Think nothing of it. It would be funny if I were watching, so... Wait, aha!" His nose had finally bumped into something metallic, and oval shaped. Poking around further, it only took a moment to confirm. He'd found his cooker!

"Find your pot or something?"

"No, a small gas grill! I figure it'll be large enough for you to cook your food."

True to his word, a small blue grill was plopped onto the hard stone. Just far enough away from the covers that they wouldn't burn, but close enough that he didn't need to leave them for long. It was perfect for the purpose.

"Thank you."

"You're welcome!" The smile on his muzzle had a rather unintended effect. It looked rather intimidating to the wolf.

"You don't mind?" He was warm enough, for now, and the curiosity dragged him out of his cocoon of covers.

"Not at all! Ignore the stains on my muzzle. Couldn't help but snack a bit."

The lid was only held on by a hinge in the back, and the inside was rather clean. Clean enough that the wolf suspected it'd never even been used. Click click. Clickclickclick FWOOSH. The flame at the bottom roared to life. Cold blue flame warmed his paws every bit as well as the covers had. He jumped a bit when the dragon dropped the meat onto the grill.

"Trust you to not burn my covers?" The dragon looked at the grill, then back at the wolf.

"Only if you don't eat me." He dead-panned.

"Oh, stop with that already. I had anthro once. Wasn't that good. Would not recommend."

"Guess we'll just have to see, then." The food was warming up, slow pops and splatters falling into the flame.

"I'll explain later. Gonna find you some silverware and a plate."

Once again, the dragon didn't wait for him to comment or answer. Though, Mack was slowly warming up to him. Even if he had suspicions that his day would end in the dragons' stomach. Or in jail again. But, for now, he had the wonderful aromas of cooking meat to relax with. The flesh slowly turned darker, until it was almost a light brown. A bit of commotion in the other room, and then the dragon returned. His paws were quite full.

"Lemme get some of that." Mack offered.

Seeing as the dragon had his muzzle occupied with a large plate, he couldn't protest. Spatula first, then the plate, and then the silverware in his paws The dragon breathed a sigh of relief, no longer having to hobble with the equipment. His muzzle dropped open, and then snapped shut.

"Thanks a- Wait. I don't know your name."

"And I don't know yours." He set the spatula to the side, and all the hand utensils on the plate.

"You look like a Jack. Or maybe a Mac."

"Close. Jake Mackinow. Recent escapee, ex-locksmith, and ex-owner of my own business." He flopped back down onto the covers.

"That's a name. Mine is Ethan. Ethan Hiller. Dragon, sculptor, and most recently living here-" He gestured with a paw and looked around a bit. "As part of a retreat from society for a bit."

"Rather plain name, for a dragon." Jake commented, flipping the sizzling meat.

"Meh." Ethans' comment was as simple as his thoughts on the matter.

Funnily enough, it was rather difficult to focus with a dragon peering over his shoulder. But, somehow, he managed. Being so close to the grill had its' advantages. The warm aroma drove Jake mad, eager to get some real sustenance into him. Ethan remained quiet, just lurking behind him, also sitting on the stack of fluffy covers. He didn't even comment until the meat was a nice golden-brown, and more than well-done enough for Jakes' tastes.

"Looks good."

"Don't stick to jobs that long. But, I was a cook for a year." Jake let the meat drip a bit more onto the open flame, before transferring it to the plate. Steam was roiling off of it, and the grease pooled on the plate.

"Interesting. You don't mind if I share the makeshift bed?" The shifting of hide and scales behind him barely bothered Jake.

"Not really. Your place, after all."

"Well..." Ethan wrapped a few of the covers around him, covering up the orange jumpsuit again. "Maybe time to spill your beans?"

Jake sighed. Any of the stories he'd come up with were more outlandish than what had happened. So, instead, he decided to tell the truth. Gods be damned if the dragon didn't believe him.

"Sure. Not much of a story though."

He took the dragon through that day in detail, leaving out nary a single factoid. It seemingly took hours before he got to the juicy bits. But, when he did, the dragon perked up, and cocked his head. As large as he was, it seemed he was almost coiled around the wolf.

"And so, I was on the job, doing some work for a client. It was a bit of a personal call, too. He wanted to see how an acquaintance of his was getting along. Now, I should have known this sounded fishy. I mean, usually you would just call a person up. No one doesn't have a cell phone these days." Jake took a moment to catch his breath, and thoughtfully chew a piece of meat.

"Is it good?"

"Of course."

"Good, hunted it today, just this morning. Go on when you're ready. We've all night."

"Well, that's all for the setup. I drove out to the place, it was a rather nice property. Had a fancy fence with a gate. The guard buzzed me through after ringing the house a few times. Probably figured I was an electronics repair guy. I did that once, but not relevant." Another piece of food.

"Mmhmm." He nodded, eyeing the food a bit.

"Nice house too, and the front door was locked. So, I bust out my toolkit and get to it. I figure if he's that antisocial, he'd hear me working and see what the fuss was about. It was a good lock, so it took me a while. Honestly would have been simpler to smash a window and pay for the repairs, for all the good doing it neatly did me. But, -uh- it was pretty simple after that. I wandered around the place a bit, all the lights were on, of course." He sliced up a few more pieces while thinking of the next bit of the story.

"Mind if I take a small piece?" Ethan seemed rather distracted by the food, but still intrigued.

"Go ahead. It's yours, after all, heh."

"Thanks." He speared a small cube and munched on it a while, as Jake continued.

"It's pretty simple after that. After checking the first floor for the guy, I went upstairs. Poked around a while, no one was home. Well, until I got to the master bedroom." He gulped. "That shit was messy."

"The room, or?"

"Everything. He died very, very violently. It looked like someone tried to poison him and then... Well, it looked like a rabid animal got to him. I knew he was dead the moment I opened the door." Jake lost his appetite, nudging away the rest of the food.

"How did the police get involved?"

"The usual story of a dead rich guy. I panic, back out of the house, and leave my stuff at the main door. Since I used it, obviously. Told the guard first, he freaked out. Cuffed me until the real police got there. -tch- Next thing I know, I'm in a cell, due for a court date." He shrugged.

"But, that doesn't explain how it got pinned on you." Ethan sounded unconvinced. Or had a good poker face.

"Getting to that. So, the court date comes up. I'm a good citizen, y'know? I didn't resist arrest, or try to run. But, after the prosecution noted a clump of fur at the crime scene..." He growled. "Guess whose."

"Yours."

"Yes, except for one key detail. I only looked into the room. The fur was found tucked under one of the tears in the victims' night clothes. My paws were clean when they found me."

"Couldn't you have just washed your paws? I mean, it's not too far out."

"That's true. But, this backwater being what it is, didn't even bother to DNA test it. The jury brought that up before the verdict was handed down. But, they weren't even consulted. Just a gallery of people watching like the rest of the room. But, I knew once they brought the fur out, I was screwed. So, I picked the locks on my shackles. Handcuffs later, too."

"And you expect me to believe this?" Ethan huffed, drawing back a bit.

"On the word of an honest guy, I didn't do it. But, I suspect you've already made up your mind... thanks for my last prope-"

"I do."

"Wuh?" It took a minute for Jake to pull himself out of his morose thoughts of being turned in.

"It sounds about right from what I heard through the grapevine. The news was already all over it, and their story is inconsistent. So, I believe you."

"Really."

"Yeah, really. And you can stay here until you get yourself ready for being on the run again." He shoveled the rest of the cooked meat into his muzzle, wiping the plate clean.

"Wow. Uhm... thanks?" Jake was dumbfounded, tired, and a bit exhausted.

"Mmhmm." His rumbled affirmation resonated deeply, as he munched on the tiny bits of meat.

Jake almost wanted to jump for joy. One person, just one person had finally believed him. Maybe he wouldn't die this week. His cold, achy fingers and joints reminded him that they existed, though. But, the covers felt warmer than ever with the dragon scarcely feet away. Almost close enough that he could just... lean against the larger creature.

"Would you mind if I stole a bit of warmth?"

"You're probably colder than me. Snuggle up all you want." He stretched out on his side, several large bones popping as he did so.

Jakes' eyes were drawn lower, but he shook his head and focused elsewhere. Now was not the time to be stealing glances. Well, at least not yet. That could come later when he wasn't a half-frozen wolf popsicle. Scales felt surprisingly warm through the thick covers. And, the hide underneath was also rather pliable. Comfy, flexible, a dragon-sized pillow, even. The pile of covers was all but covered with the two of them on it, but it just barely worked.

"Damn, you are really warm."

"Comes with being big, I guess." The dragon yawned, showing off his large teeth. "That being said, just turn off the grill and push it away. I'll store it properly later."

"Sleepy after a cold, rainy shower?" Jake commented, pushing the still-hot grill towards one of the cave walls.

"You'd be surprised. Shouldn't need to worry about the police, warrant required for a search around here. One of the few positives..." Ethan growled, rather deeply.

"Place is just full of positives, heh."

"Ugh. Can trust you to not try to kill me with a spatula... right?"

"That would take some doing."

Ethan just rolled his eyes, curling his neck towards his footpaws after Jake had cozied back up. It was an odd scene, a wolf in an orange jumpsuit sleeping in the middle of a curled-up blue dragon, all covered up. But, it was a scene Jake was more than comfortable in. For now, at least. Leaning his head back, he listened to the dragons' massive heartbeats, and the repetitive deep breaths. Between the days' events, and the warmth, he didn't stand a chance. Sleep came almost immediately.

The storm worsened while he slept.

A loud clap of lightning startled him awake. Even deep inside the cave, it was frightening, and felt like it was just outside. Rain poured down in massive buckets, causing a constant roar of noise. Most concerning, though, was a lack of a certain warmth. Jake fumbled around in the dark. No scales met his paws, only warm covers. He couldn't have been gone long. But how did a dragon manage to sneak off in the middle of the night? Or was it morning? He couldn't even tell with the weather.

"...Ethan?" A very groggy Jake mumbled.

He was gone, but where? A dragon wouldn't be dumb enough to go out in this weather. Not even particularly risk-taking ones. A light caught his eye. It had just faded out. Someone, likely the dragon had just walked off into one of the other branches. Jake rolled over. It was none of his business what the dragon was doing. His eyes closed, he took his chances with sleep again.

But, it was not to be. Several minutes later, a roaring shock of thunder to rival the first one, awoke him again. He'd barely even slept at all. And yet... the dragon wasn't back yet. The covers that he wasn't wrapped up in were cold. Scattered light bounced off the cave walls. Same room as before, as well.

"Waaaay too long to be doing his business." It was official, he wasn't going to get any sort of sleep with the weather as it was.

His jumpsuit did a poor job of keeping body heat in, so he borrowed a few covers from the stack. They were big enough that they made a good set of robes. He threw on another for good measure. The soft, flickering light tempted him, more than a moth to the flame. No matter how hard he tried to explain it, he -knew- something was going on. And he wanted to know just what that was. Thin shoes did little to protect from the small pebbles on the floor.

It was a bit of a walk, but the light got brighter, and brighter, until it was more than enough to see by. The den was a distant memory after he rounded a corner. But, the room that came into view was a bit empty-feeling. Until a certain blue-scaled tail flicked around the corner, and then back. That, at least, answered where the dragon was. But what was he doing? Jake debated turning back, but his mind wouldn't have any of it. A curiosity, once piqued, must be satisfied.

Of course, what he didn't know... would only just shock him.

He shuffled forward, covers muffling a lot of the noise he made as he moved. Even with his ears trapped under the heavy cocoon of covers, he could hear something. Something wet, and slurpy. Was the dragon trying to get the last of the mayo out of a jar? The strange thought made him shake his head.

The room being deeper in the cave, it was far less effected by the weather outside. And, with a dragon in the smaller room, it felt a bit more cozy. Even standing in the entranceway, Jake could tell that much. But, just standing there wasn't going to get him his answers. He poked his muzzle around the corner, already beginning to utter a snarky comment.

"Man, Ethan, if you need help with a ja- Oh." Jakes muzzle snapped shut.

The maned wolf had just walked in on a very awkward, rather intimate moment. And he'd just gotten there in time to see the finale. There Ethan was, splayed out, with his back propped up in a corner. Blue-scaled muzzle wrapped around a large, pulsing length of what could only be described as dragonmeat. And, he was definitely enjoying it. At the sound of Jakes' voice, his eyes shot open, only to close again. A guttural grunt echoed out of his throat. Pulse after pulse shot into his throat, and Jake could only watch in fascination.

"I-I- Uhhh..." The wolf stumbled over his words.

Ethan ignored him, and focused on himself for a moment. His guest could wait. And right now, the sheer amount of pleasure coming from his self-love was a bit much. But, even his muzzle could only hold so much. Sticky white cream drizzled out of his lips, and onto his scales. Lungs burned, and his paw rubbed against the length. Reluctantly, he let it out of his muzzle. Several more spurts landed against his chest and lower neck. A relaxed, pleasured sigh rolled out of his messy muzzle.

"Mmmmm." He merely cocked his head when he saw Jake watching, with a shocked look on his face.

"I should have stayed in bed. I am so, so sorr-"

"Don't." The dragon waved him off. "It's fine."

"Should have knocked..." Jakes' cheeks burned, and the floor was more interesting than anything else in the world.

"Again, don't worry about it. Dragons have legendary libidos. And, well, let's say mine distracted me as much as the storm outside."

"But... I, uh- err."

"I'm here, take as long as you need."

"You seem awfully calm for having someone walk in on you." Jake finally managed to puzzle together his thoughts.

"Nothing wrong with a bit of pleasure, so long as everyone involved consents. And is of the legal age, of course." Ethan rumbled. His voice sounded much deeper after his orgasm.

"Do you -ah shit." He swore as the jumpsuit did little to hide his own erection. His brain insisted he shouldn't, couldn't be aroused at the dragons' activities. But, his body said otherwise.

"You are really wound up." Ethan commented, licking a bit of the mess off of his muzzle and paws.

"Stop that."

"Stop whaaaat?" Ethan gave him a devilish grin as he cleaned his scales of his self-produced mess.

"Grrrrh..." Jake growled. How could the dragon tempt him so? Unless...

"Well, if you're that wound up I would be down for a bit of fun. Completely independent of earlier." The dragon cocked his head again, with a curious grin on his face.

"You would? Let me do that, I mean?"

"Yes, for the most part. So long as it isn't anything too weird. I'm rather vanilla."

"Running from the cops, and finding shelter with a gay dragon, and he's offering to play. Talk about a recent turn of events."

"Bi, not gay. But, you were at least close."

That smile was going to be the end of Jake. It was so many things at once. Warm, inviting, charming, devilishly devious, tempting. So many other adjectives, too. Besides, what could a bit of fun hurt? And with a dragon, at that.

"Sure, then. But uh, there is no way that's fitting." Even the rapidly softening rod between the dragons' legs was as large as his torso.

"Oh, you're not part fox? Well, damn." Ethan chuckled.

"My brain is blanking, though. How could we do anything with that being out of the cards?"

"Well... First, you need to get out of that jumpsuit. Next, there's a lot of things. If you're the kind that likes to top, things are a bit easier. A bit less pleasing on my end, but we can deal with that later."

"Okay." The covers were the first to go. It felt chilly without them, and even more so without the only bits of clothing he had.

"Pretty common things, but, you could use my muzzle, or my ass. Or perhaps grind against my rod with your body if you don't mind a bit of mess. Even if me penetrating you is completely off the table, there's still a decent bit of fun to be had." He rattled off all the ideas floating around his head.

"Well, as you mentioned, I'm the more pent-up one here. And since you're already one up on me..." It took a bit of doing for Jake to climb atop the large dragon.

"Oh, believe you me, I'm more than a bit past just one past you at this point." The dragon stuck his tongue out.

While the dragon was large, it also made for a nice bit of warmth. Just sitting on the dragons chest was like having a space heater pointed at him. Anything more would be a bit uncomfortable. Feeling and hearing the rise and fall of his chest made the wolf a bit unsteady. He leaned back a bit, still a bit shy, but more than eager to let the dragon do as he wished.

"So, uh..." Jake trailed off.

"Do as you like, or I'll pick up the slack for you." Hazel eyes met Jakes own, and then they trailed downwards.

Seeing brief glimpses of the warm, wet confines of his muzzle more than made up Jakes' mind. Even with the off-white remnants stuck on his lower jaw, he knew exactly what his next step was going to be. He got up from his low crouch, walking across the dragons' scales. Right up to his lower neck, such that the dragons' neck was bent almost into a tight "C" shape. Lustful, dirty thoughts that he'd ignored and redirected flooded to the surface. What would another layer of white be, anyway?

"Ethan?"

"Jake."

"I know I've asked a billion times now, but you'd let me use your muzzle?"

"Yes. Less talking, and more doing, otherwise I might change my mind." The dragons' long, dark tongue uncurled, hanging out of his muzzle.

"Don't need to tell me thrice. Even though you just did."

He scooted a bit closer. His own arousal poked out of its' sheath, slowly coming to life. A peek over the shoulder told him the dragon was still recovering. No matter, Jake would have his own fun. A bit of reciprocity could happen later, anyways. The scales underneath his legs felt a bit sticky already, but not so slick as to cause him to fall. Trusting the dragon to not move, he stood upright. His paws kept the dragons muzzle pointed between his legs. But, he couldn't stop the tongue from doing as its' master wished.

Warm, wet affection slathered across his balls, rolling them around. It paused there for a moment, sampling his taste, and matting his fur. But, eventually it moved upward. The dragon ignored the obvious, needy rod just above the pair of orbs, instead licking along the wolfs' belly, and thighs. Teasing was one of his favorite pastimes, and the reaction on the wolfs' face more than showed his neediness.

"S-such a tease." Jake stammered.

Ethan just winked, before closing his eyes and concentrating on the task that'd soon be in his maw. Putting his tongue to good use, he curled it around Jakes' length. A heavy whine escaped the wolfs' muzzle, only making the dragon grin. So sensitive, needy, and already leaking pre onto his taste buds. Even with his paws on the dragons muzzle helping him to balance, his legs shook violently. A few short thrusts across his nose did little but stain the scales there. Just another layer of mess to be cleaned later.

Jake held on as best he could. The dragon was good, too good at this. He almost wanted to sit down, but the tongue wrapped around his breeding rod said otherwise. A small adjustment of the dragons' large muzzle, and the angle was much more conducive for more fun. Another few half-steps, and the dragon had the wolf right where he wanted him. Smooth, scaled lips trapped his already achingly hard erection inside.

"Please be careful."

A large paw wrapped around his back, giving him a bit more stability. It pulled him back a bit, before gently pushing him forward. Not one to be oblivious to such a hint, Jake took the initiative. Slow, deep thrusts into the dragons muzzle, all the way to the root. And then back out, feeling the dragons' tongue dragging over him with each and every movement. Ethan was right. It had been a while, and damn if he didn't need it badly.

Ethan let Jake do what he wished. The smaller mammal on his neck and in his muzzle was tickling an itch he didn't get to scratch often. When it was clear he could overpower the wolf at any moment, and throw him off and do as he pleased to the wolf instead... and yet he didn't. Having a small, energetic partner take the lead was exhilarating. And yet it had taken only the smallest bit of convincing. His balls slapped the dragons' chin with every thrust. Every deep thrust oozed thick pre onto his tongue, making the whole process even easier.

"I-i'm..." Jake bit his lip, trying to hold back.

His knot inflated, stuffing the dragons' muzzle with it. The tongue wrapped around his rod felt so warm, so tight, and so convincing... He felt the first jet of hot seed inside his body, traveling out quicker than he thought possible. And then a second, and a third, and a fourth. Meanwhile, the dragon sucked eagerly, working his rod with the tongue the whole while. The seed pooled on his tongue, letting him sample the warm donation.

"Sorry, should hav-" A single large digit rubbed at the back of his head.

"Fine."

He stayed there like that for a while, the dragon breathing through his nose easily. With his knot locked in place by the dragons' warm tongue, it took seemingly forever to go down. His balls felt almost empty by the time he finally let it slip free. There was a surprising lack of mess when he did.

"I feel... just about empty down there." He hadn't had an orgasm like that in a long while.

Ethan rolled the seed around on his tongue, letting the wolf flop back into his paw. An interesting taste, and one that'd stick to his tongue for a while. He opened his muzzle, letting Jake watch him swallow down the entirety of it with an eager hunger. His tongue cleaned the rest.

"Feel better?"

"Much, but-"

"No, no buts. We're not done yet, but you can rest as long as you need to."

Jake was going to protest, but with the satisfied, relaxed feeling he had, he didn't contest it. Ethan was a patient lover, letting him relax in his paws. It felt like every muscle in his body had relaxed at once, and stayed that way. Not even his tail flicked, for once.

"Think you're up for a second round?" Ethan had that devilish grin again, and that legendary libido behind his words.

"Can, but I'd regret it in the morning."

"A mornings' regret for a lifetimes' memories! Sounds like a good trade to me."

Jake sighed. There was no way he was going to be able to keep up with the dragon. But, he could at least try for one more.

"Fine. What'd you have in mind?" His curiosity won out, as well.

"Not sure just how prepped you are, but I figured it was time for a bit of payback. But, with a twist."

"Go on." Jake folded his arms.

"Well, it's simple really. You fuck me, and have a bit of fun with my rod while you're at it."

"But, wouldn't that hurt? Y'know, down there?"

"Not really. Plenty of natural lube right from the tap."

"You wouldn't get much out of it, either..."

"Hence why I said to also stroke me with your body. C'mon, are you really going to say no to fucking a dragon?" A cocky smirk crossed his muzzle.

"No. I was just wondering why."

"I'm sure you'll find out why more quickly by doing, than by yapping." The dragon was already setting him down on his tail before he could protest.

The cold stone floor met his footpaws again, making him shiver a bit. The dragon was already at full mast, and waiting patiently. It seemed to be easily as large as he was, maybe even a bit larger. Already oozing pre, too. But... if it was what the dragon wanted, then the dragon would get it. And besides, another roll in the hay wouldn't tire him out too much. He made up his mind when he climbed back up a bit further.

"Go on. Don't be shyyyyy." The cocky dragon drew out the word as Jake opened his muzzle and dragged his tongue along the length.

Two could play at the teasing game. He wrapped his arms around it, and squeezed a bit. Not too roughly, but just enough. His efforts were rewarded with a soft spurt of pre. A bit of an angle adjustment, and the large rod loomed over him. Right where he wanted it. One of his paws swiped upwards, just over the tip, collecting the thick hint of dragonseed. As covered in saliva as it was before, it'd take a bit more lube to make this work. His wet paw rubbed the sticky substance over that side of the thick rod.

"_This is gonna be good."_Ethan watched his small partner with glee.

The dragon relaxed, letting the wolf do as he wished once more. Admittedly, it felt a bit lazy, but there wasn't much he could do to hurry the process up. And thus, he relaxed and enjoyed the pleasurable sensations running through his hide.

After his initial inhibitions, Jake was getting into it. Really, really into it. Ethan watched the maned wolf expertly work himself over the dragons' too-large rod. The feel of soft fur rubbing itself against him was divine. Even more so as the wolf used more and more of his pre as lube. Granted, it was getting to be a bit of a mess in his fur, but it didn't look like he cared a jot. His rod, small in comparison, rubbed against the dragons' own. It added its' own bit of mess to the pool.

"D-damn..." Ethan screwed his eyes shut. Just watching his partner do his best was too much.

He held himself back, and it took all of his willpower. A single, thick dollop of pre oozed down his shaft. By now, the wolf was an absolute mess. But, he had other plans for all that spare lube. It took a while for Ethan to realize the wolf wasn't working his rod anymore.

"You ready? Seems a bit pointless to ask but..." Jake trailed off.

"Of course I am?"

The wolf took that as a positive. His knotted canine cock stood ready, the dragons' own pre already coating it in a thick sheen. The wolf scooted back a bit, and wrapped his paws back around the dragon. He spared a paw to align himself as he pushed inwards. Warm, almost overpowering heat enveloped his shaft. So much warmer than the dragons' muzzle, and all the better. He wasted no time, pushing himself into the dragon. Cute little moans echoed out of the dragons' muzzle. His own cocky grin spread onto his muzzle. So small in comparison, but every bit as capable of pleasing the dragon.

"Sounds like you like this even more than me." Jake teased.

"S-shut up! But don't stop." For a dragon, he became awfully docile when he was being plowed by a relatively tiny wolf.

It went to both of Jakes' heads. As quickly as the dragon had gotten him off, the second course seemed to not last even as long as that. He hugged the dragons' rod, grinding against it with his body with every short thrust. His tongue lolled out of his muzzle as he panted. It felt all too hot in the room, and with the dragon so close, it was boilingly-hot under his fur.

Wet slapping noises reverberated across the room. The dragon dug fresh ruts into the cave floor. His breaths became heavy and labored. Jake wasn't much better, either. If he didn't know better, he could have sworn he saw steam rising up off of them. To be fair, with the cold weather outside, it was possible. Legs ached, and both of them shook.

Jake could feel the dragons' tail muscles ripple underneath him.

"I-I'm gonna make a bit of a messssss" Ethan hissed, trying to hold back as best he could.

Jake, on the other hand did his best to make that dam burst. His knot popped into, and out of the dragon, over and over again. His muzzle planted soft kisses, and long, wet streaks with his tongue. The sensation was too much for the dragon to resist. The soft, scaled backside Jake was plowing got much, much tighter, just as his knot popped in for the last time.

"Hope you don't mind insi-" Ethan cut him off, craning his neck and part of his upper body to coil past his rod, and push his tongue into Jakes' muzzle.

Any unnecessary words were lost as the both of them made a huge mess. Jake relaxed, letting the dragon hold him inside. His own orgasm made him see stars, and only the wet sensation of some liquid falling onto his fur was the only other thing he felt. Ethan wanted to roar, but he wanted even better to watch the wolf ride out his orgasm at nearly the same time. Wet, sticky dragonseed stained his scales, and fell back down onto the wolf. They were both breathless.

It wasn't until the dragon nudged him backwards did he gasp for air.

"Holy fuck." Jake swore.

"I mean, the latter did happen. Dunno about the former." Ethan panted, still high from post-orgasmic bliss.

"Tell me you have a bath." Jake shook his fingers.

"We can worry about that another time. For now, you're a bit stuck."

He looked down, noting the fact that he was entirely embedded inside the dragon, even despite the size difference.

"Fine. But I'm taking a nap 'cause this is gonna take an hour."

As it turned out, both Ethan and Jake were fine with that. The storm raged on, but at least he was safe inside for the time being.

"Hey, before you nod off." Ethan nudged him as his eyelids felt like lead.

"Yeaah?"

"There's no way I'm letting you get away that easily. Expect dragon-sized visits whereever you settle down."

"Y'know. I'm strangely fine with that. Now lemme nap."

"Night Jake."

"Night Ethan."

As it turned out, even with all the mess between them, the dragon made a good bed. For all the spartan accommodations, Ethan knew how to be an interesting host. The wolf drifted off to sleep with a happy smile on his muzzle. He was safe enough for now that he could rest. All that escape business could wait until tomorrow. Or potentially later. The police would have a hard enough time with a dragon anyway.
