That morning, I did my normal business, mostly get ready for work. When I got to work, Clawhauser looked at and said, "Judy, I tried to call you. I was able to convince Chief Bogo into rescheduling your shift." I looked at him and asked, "so when should I report to work?" He looked at me and said, "you report tomorrow. I am trying to give you a couple of weeks, but Chief Bogo seems a little apprehensive about letting you, spend time with Nick." Wondering how much did Clawhauser know, he always seems to be able to figure out anything? So I simply asked him, "so why, would I need to spend time with Nick?" He simply said, "Well he is donating a kidney, he should have his friend with him." Trying, to figure out how much more he knew, I asked, "so, do you know who is getting his kidney?" Clawhauser smile turned into a small frown and he said, "no, I was kinda of hoping you could tell me who is getting his kidney."
I was thinking of something to say, until I was really lucky and Chief Bogo, called for Clawhauser, as Clawhauser said, "well I better get going, have a good day Judy."
Driving home, I decided to call Nick and ask, "Nick, would you like to watch a movie, before your operation today." Nick asked, "uhh Carrots, don't you have work this morning?" I answered, "Clawhauser, was able to have someone cover my shift. I am going home to change and you figure out what we're doing today." Nick answered, "Ok, just let me figure out, what movies there are at the theaters. Then I will pick you up, at around 9 am."
As I was changing, Nick knocked on the door saying, "come on, Carrots, I thought your species were fast. Gees any slower and I could go watch the movie, and still be back before you were ready." As I answered the door with, "looks, like I have a dangerous fox, at my door." Nick answered, "If that is how you feel, than I will go home. Then again, you would just follow me. Just like a small child." With Nick using his sly smile, as he usually does. As me and Nick, started towards Nicks vehicle.
As I got into Nick's vehicle I said, "Well, I believe it's a good day, for a day off, of course since they moved you to nights, you get every day off. So, Nick how was precient 34, just that precinct seems completely different from the city center." As Nick was just driving, with a small laugh. He answered, "I would have no idea what their normal day is, but the colonel for Swing Shift was pretty lax, very little meetings, unlike Chief Bogo who seems to be convinced that meetings brings the greatest joy in life. Other than that, meter maid is not fun, but I'm certain you could agree with that.
Remembering back, to when I first met Nick and my first day of the first. I answered back, " No, being a meter maid is not fun, especially with foxes making your job even harder." While jabbing Nick, while Nick tries to slap my paw away. I also noticed that we were very close to main street. I said, "ok, so which theater are we going to."
Nick answered with a smile, " I found a small theater that plays mostly action films. I wanted to see the new movie "The Great One", you know the one where the prey are interested in capturing an innocent cheetah." As Nick was parking, I thought great so Nick decided to find the most anti-prey piece of cinema in the theaters. As we parked in front, of the theater and got out he said, "come on the movie starts soon."
The movie was good, at the end the true hero was an elk, who helped convince the other prey that the hero was not guilty. Nick said with a smile, "how did you like the movie? I bet you, that you thought it was some kind of anti-prey film. Come on, you truly believed that I would make you watch that kind of film?"
As we got into the car, I answered, "It was a good movie, and yes I did believe you were going to make me watch some kind of anti-prey film. Not meaning to change the subject but we might want to get to the hospital." As I got into Nick's vehicle, Nick agreed that we should head to the hospital.
