THE START OF WAR
The sun rose up slowly as the fog drifted away. The day started usual for the American dragon. As he got up from bed to look out his window he remembered (while half asleep), that he was at dragon summit doing some camp thing. He looked around him to see other dragons still asleep. Jake slowly opened the door not to awaken the others, and went outside.
"It's freezing" he mumbled to himself.
It wasn't long until others got up and had a walk around outside. Jake looked around for his grandfather but instead saw Fred Nerk, the Australian dragon, having a conversation with his mates. Jake then walked down to look for his grandfather. As he was walking he saw Fu dog and many other people standing at the beach pointing and shouting. He wondered what was up.
"Yo Fu dog what's up with all these people"? Jake asked.
"I don't know kid, I just came out now." Said Fu dog.
"Looks big, I think I'll fly up and have a look."
Jake flew up and had a look. There was something out their in the bay, but he couldn't quite figure it out. He then took a closer look and just as he figured out what it was everyone screamed. Jake flew down fast and hard, he then started to walk back slowly trying to get Fu dogs attention. He then tripped over a rock and his heart was pumping because of what he saw.
He then jumped up and run like hell. When he got to the cabin him and his cabin mates looked out the window to find a huge comet like thing to strike the ground and shatter all the windows and caused a huge Earth quake.
After a while the dust and smoke cleared and to jakes surprise he saw a huge asteroid.
Everyone walked out side and stepped towards it.
"What the hell is this" One dragon said.
"It looks like a meteor of some sort" Said another.
"Break it open, it might have GOLD in it!"
Jakes grandfather entered the scene. They started to talk about what happened. Then suddenly there was movement coming from within the meteor. It began to crack and then break as steam came out of it. A huge gap was left at the top. More steam came out, then a loud grumbling noise as if a machine was coming out. Everyone started to move back; at the same time the ground was cracking and breaking. Then instantly all noise stopped until a humming noise started to come from the meteor. Huge grumbling sounds came back again followed by an enormous metallic leg rising out from the meteor. Everyone run back some, screaming END OF THE WORLD!!!
Jake hid behind a rock thinking, "Am I going to die."
A huge machine started to rise from the crater, as it raised Jake was thinking that he had seen this machine before and yes he had, from war of the worlds, he then thought of the idea that this was all a dream, or was it?
The tripod stood tall looking over dragon summit. A loud bang followed by exploding sounds filled the air. Jake looked over the rock and saw tanks, at least 200 of them.
The tripod blew a horn and then a charging sound drowned the sound of explosions. Everyone peered closely as the great machine took out two weapons from under its hood.
Jake kneeled back down in terror as he knew what was coming next. After a few seconds bright green and red flashes filled the sky as each tank was annihilated.
Everyone started running as these rays struck them. Jake looking back while running saw the rays hit dragons and saw them being turned to fire or being incinerated. It took at least 3 seconds for each dragon to blow up. The ray charged Jake from behind burning his back. He leaped out the way landing an a soft pile of leaves. He then looked up and saw buildings instantly turned to rubble. The tripod walked by Jake still shooting at the dragons. Jake got up and ran to find his grandfather and Fu. After 20 min of searching he found them at the docks ready to cast out. Without talk or conversations they looked at each other. Just then a tank rolled up and started firing at the tripod before we knew it the tank was in flames. A boy jumped out, he was at least 15 or 16. He asked if he could go with us. We said yes and casted out to sea.
"Hey thanks for letting me come with you; I wouldn't have lasted long over there." Said the soldier.
"No prob dude, say what's a teenager doing in a tank." Asked Jake.
"My name is Nick; I'm part of the ATC, Australian Tank Command. I was also part of the 4th tank brigade in Germany. We saw these things come down, we knew what they were. These tripods are landing all over the world; it's like war of the worlds."
"Are you a dragon?" Asked Jakes grandfather.
"Surprisingly no. Just like you Jake im a protector, not of the magical world but the whole world."
"Hey wait I know you, your that guy from Global Operations, your that chief and commander kid." Fu dog said surprisingly.
"Yes well you can call me the Australian Overlord. I've been monitoring you magical creatures for a long time now; of coarse there have been wars that you don't know about. Like the war between me and the Dark dragon, but I'll tell you that later for now we must get out of here."
As they moved into the sea jakes grandfather cast a teleportation spell to take them back to New York City.
