"Where do we go now Shakiria?" Shane asked.

"We can't go back, there are many Lupains, and it will be strange if we force ourselves through a ventilation shaft," she replied.

"What are we doing now?" Shane wanted to know.

"We'll try to find Dhomos and Kai."

"How do we do that? The ship is huge," Shane said.

"I know vaguely were we have to go."

Both ran along an abandoned and badly lit corridor.

The area here seemed extinct and neglected.

"Not so fast sweetness," said a voice, pulling on Shakiria's arm.

"Let me go," Shakiria shouted.

A Lupain held her tight, he had a light gray and white fur color.

"You are the first Lupain I hear, who constantly speaks the human language."

"Well, now let me go!" Shakiria shouted.

"I heard from some Lupains that they were only capable of talking in the human language."

"What's the matter with you?" Shane asked.

"Well, one rumored that Anonaran's soldiers are looking for a group of Lupains. These Lupains would have lived with humans for almost a decade and would be unable to speak our language."

"We are not the ones you are looking for," she replied.

"Really?" He asked, speaking in the Lupain language.

"Well, what did I say?"

"I don't know, I don't care! I say it one last time, let me go!" She screamed and bared her teeth.

"I think I'll bring you to Anonaran's soldiers, if you're not the ones they're looking for, you can go on."

"Who are you anyway? You're alone and not the biggest, "Shakiria said.

"I am Ataneq and I am never alone," he said.

Ataneq took his right hand and made a ring with his thumb and index finger, holding it in front of his snout, tightening his lips.

He took a strong breath and blew vigorously.

A loud sound escaped his mouth, and three other Lupains emerged from a dark alley.

These were significantly larger and more muscular than Ataneq.

Two of them had light gray fur and were of the same size, the last of them had brown fur, wearing a sort of armor, he was even slightly larger.

Each of them carried a melee weapon.

"You see I'm not alone, I can imagine my gang," he told.

'A Lupain gang? He somehow reminds me of this King,' Shane thought.

"So you're a gang of Lupains who can speak the human language?" Shakiria wanted to know.

"Only I speak the human language," said Ataneq.

"Why?" She asked again.

"We steal a few things and sell it to Lupains and humans. We like to steal from these creatures out there, it's so wonderfully simple. These humans are too stupid and slow to catch us ever," explained Ataneq.

"Now you come with us!" He shouted afterwards.

Shakiria, however, hit Ataneq with her left hand in the face.

So strong that he fell to the ground with a loud bang.

"I had warned you," she yelled.

"I might feel attracted to unruly females, but you embarrassed me before my men, for this you will pay," he hissed.

Ataneq stood up suddenly and tore Shakiria to the ground, he pressed her face to the ground and lay down on her.

"I'll bring you to Anonaran's soldiers, but I will have some fun with her before. Attractive females come not so often into this part of the ship," explained Ataneq.

"Get down from me," Shakiria shouted, trying to knock Ataneq down.

Unsolicited one of Ataneq's men came and held Shakiria's arms.

Ataneq put his right hand on Shakiria's breasts, with his left hand he pressed her face down.

"Shane Help me please!" Shakiria shouted.

Shane ran a few steps forward, then Ataneq's men came and grabbed him.

"Small one, it does not take long. If I'm done with your girlfriend, she never wants another. Get out of there, you already have a bandage," Ataneq mocked Shane.

"Let me go, I have to stop him," Shane shouted.

"These are my men, they only listen to me, by the way, they don't understand a word of the human language. Try to talk to them in the Lupain language. Oh ... that does not work," said Ataneq.

"You pig, let them go," shouted Shane.

"Try to stop me," Ataneq replied, licking Shakiria's neck.

'I have to free myself and help her,' thought Shane.

Then Shane bit, as firm as he could, into the hand of the Lupain who was holding him.

In horror and pain, the Lupain let Shane go for a moment.

While the Lupain cursed in the Lupain language, Shane ran off.

He ran as fast as he had never run.

He pushed the Lupain aside, who was holding holding Shakiria's arms.

She took the opportunity and hit Ataneq's face several times.

"You lousy pig, that is what you get," she cried.

Ataneq lay motionless on her, blood ran out of his nose and mouth.

Just as she was about to get up, Ataneq tried to hold her.

"Come Shane, we're leaving," she shouted, pushing Ataneq away.

She grabbed Shane by the hand and pulled him behind her.

Before both disappeared behind a wall, Shane looked back a moment, he saw how the other Lupains helped Ataneq get up.

"Afterwards," Ataneq shouted, and his men followed the two.

They ran as fast as they could, but after a short time Shane stopped.

"I ... I can't run anymore," he snapped.

"We must go on, they'll kill us! Do you hear? They will kill us. We must find the others, "said Shakiria.

"I can't," Shane snapped.

"We have to escape," Shakiria said.

"Can't we hide in the crowd of Lupains on the main street?" He asked.

"What do you mean?" Shakiria asked.

"Among the whole Lupains, it will be difficult for them to follow us, and maybe we will return to Dhomos and Kai," Shane said.

"Well, we should not talk. The human language hardly seems to be used here, we should avoid to attract attention, "Shakiria explained.

She stood before Shane and gave him a lick on the cheek.

"What was that for?" Shane wondered.

"I just wanted to thank you, you saved me from this Ataneq, it was very courageous of you," Shakiria thanked.

"No problem, you would do the same for me," Shane said very embarrassed.

"We must continue," she said.

They walked carefully and unobtrusively from a side street into a main street, Shakiria took Shane's hand and both ran side by side.

"We're pretending we're a couple," she whispered.

"How do we know where we are going?" He whispered.

"If I have a track, we just go there unobtrusively," she said.

A loud bang startled the crowd.

It was Ataneq and his gang, they had thrown a trash can onto the street.

"Where is this bitch and her white friend!" Ataneq roared.

He shot a Lupain gun several times into the ceiling, the Lupains then ducked to the ground.

Only Shakiria and Shane, too late.

When Ataneq saw them, he pointed to the two with his finger.

He screamed in the Lupain language and his men ran off.

Both ran as fast as they could, but they stopped around a corner.

"What's going on? Shakiria, why do we stop?" Shane snapped.

Shakiria didn't answer, she was paralyzed.

Shane was panting and looking slowly forward, soldiers were standing in front of them.

'Oh, please, don't look for us,' thought Shane.

As Ataneq's men were running around the corner, the soldiers, without paying attention to the two of them, moved past them.

They aimed their guns at Ataneq's men, these suddenly dropped their melee weapons to the ground and stretched their hands upwards.

"What's going on?" Ataneq snapped.

He didn't seem to have noticed the soldiers, and waved his pistol wildly.

Ataneq shouted at his men until, after a loud bang, he turned to the soldiers.

One of the soldiers had shot to the ground, Ataneq dropped, as he saw the soldiers, finally his pistol to the ground and began to grin grimly.

"Come on, Shane, we're going now. They have this Ataneq and his people," said Shakiria.

"Did you say Shane?" One of the soldiers asked.

Shakiria grabbed Shane's hand and ran forward.

"Stand still, you are wanted! You can't leave the ship anyway, we have quarantine! "The soldier shouted.

"What does he mean by quarantine? What does that mean? "Shane snapped.

"No idea what that means," Shakiria replied.

"It is important that you follow me, you will be followed by Anonaran's soldiers!" The soldier cried, and finally stopped.

But both of them ran a few minutes until Shane suddenly stopped.

"What if this soldier is right and wants to help us? Maybe he can take us to Akira? "Shane asked.

"I'm sorry Shane, the risk is too high. If he lies to us and we fall into a trap, we have no chance to get out again. We have no weapons," she replied.

"Do you know where we are?" Shane asked.

"Yes, I've seen this place before, we're on the right track," Shakiria said.

"Is it still far before we are at Kai and Dhomos?" Shane asked.

"No, maybe a few minutes," she said, and they both left.

A few minutes later they ran through a neglected place, rubbish was everywhere on the street and the walls were smeared.

"We hid here?" Shane asked.

"Yes, the Lupains who have lived here are all dead. There are almost no patrols. Dhomos told us about this place," Shakiria explained.

Both stood in front of a meter-high fence, which was covered with several signs.

Many of these signs seemed to look like warnings and prohibitions.

"And what do we do now?" Shane asked.

"Okay, we'll climb over. Is not the first time, "she replied.

"What do you mean?" He asked.

"We've climbed over, but you were still unconscious," she said.

Then both climbed over the fence.

"From here, we must be quieter. Dhomos said now and then plunderers would appear and who knows if they know about us," she explained.

"Okay, I have understood," Shane whispered.

"Here it must be somewhere," whispered Shakiria.

When no one replied, she looked shocked backwards, Shane had disappeared without a trace.

Then someone grabbed her from behind and pulled her to the side.

"Don't scream, it's us," said a distorted voice.

They were Kai and Dhomos, both had their faces covered with clothing.

"I thought you couldn't reach us anymore," Kai said.

"You don't know what we've been through, we ran into this gang ..."

"Stop!" Dhomos interrupted Shakiria.

"We don't have time for it," he explained.

"We've lost a lot of time through this rescue operation," Kai interfered.

"A soldier said something about quarantine. What does that mean?" Shane asked.

"A soldier? You should not talk to anyone! Did he follow you?", Dhomos wanted to know.

"I just wanted to explain it, we were attacked by a gang, Shane saved me. Soldiers have arrested the gang," Shakiria told.

"Was ist by coincidence Ataneq?" Dhomos asked.

"Yes? But how do you know that? "Shakiria asked.

"Unlike people, almost all of us can behave themselves. There are looters and some thieves, but they are only small fish. This Ataneq has been troubling problems for months. If this guy was captured, we have a problem less. You can tell me the story when we're out of this ship," Dhomos said.

"Tell us what quarantine is!" Shane wanted to know.

"That means no one can get in or out of the ship anymore," Dohomos explained.

"And you're only saying that now, why do you explain so many unimportant things," Kai cursed.

"Because it doesn't matter, I won't guide you through any official path, where we go is not even a camera," said Dhomos.

"Where is that?" Shane asked.

"Well, where no one will ever go voluntarily," said Dhomos, reaching behind him.

A kind of lever came forth, he put it on and pressed hard.

Finally, he opened a barely visible hatch.

"It stinks, it's dirty and it's tight, that's our exit," said Dhomos.

"What is that?" Kai asked.

"We are here on a ship, somewhere the whole cables have to go for the power supply. It is a maintenance tunnel, which is used only by technical staff. There are only a handful of Lupains who know where to find this maintenance tunnel," explained Dhomos.

"We're safe down there?" Shane asked.

"Yes, Anonaran knows neither the secret entrances, nor does he know the passwords that must be entered before each gate," Dhomos said.

"You know the path and the passwords?" Shakiria wanted to know.

"At the bottom are displays, these show our position. Maintenance tunnel 42, it would have to be called in the human language," said Dhomos.

"What are we waiting for?" Shakiria asked.

"I have to tell you something else, the last one to go down should be Kai. I need someone to close the entrance properly. If someone follows us and we are down there, every second counts. Only when we have passed the first gate we are absolutely safe. Without the password, no one can follow us," explained Dhomos.

"All right. Then let us flee from this damn ship," said Kai.

"Watch what you say, this ship has been my home for several years," Dhomos snapped.

"Sorry, I just want to be free again. No lab, no prison, no small cabin," exclaimed Kai.

"Take the lever, it has been specifically developed for this hatch. If you forget it, the other Lupains know that someone was here. Just leave it in the shaft," Dhomos said.

He then climbed into the maintenance bay, the others followed him.

Just before Kai closed the hatch, he looked around again, the lever laid a few yards from the entrance.

"Should I climb out again to get this stupid lever?", Kai thought, locking the entrance.

"What should happen? When we're at the gate, we're safe anyway," thought Kai.
