This story is mine

And this horrible drawing

The shame to post

The lack of views

They're mine mine mine mine mine!

Seriously though, I did this in one day and decided to share with you guys at least. Since drawing characters is not something I do, well, ever, I decided to make a quick story about the drawing after getting very inspired.

This may be the only drawn thing of mine that gets posted.

So. Story goes that you find a necklace of some sort on display at a yard sale one day. You're not exactly sure, but something compelled you to buy it. Went for pretty cheap, too. The zebra that sold you the thing, though. He looked pretty desperate to get rid of it. Almost as if he wanted it gone. Hm.

Anyways, you take it home, and then you put it on your nightdesk. Kinda forgot about it for a few days, and you just glance over it one day. That something compelled you to look at it for a few seconds. Appreciate its beauty, you know? Perhaps why you bought this in the first place may not matter now. Or the fact that the buyer, despite wanting to get it off of his sight, exchanged phone numbers with you in case he wanted it back.

Nah, those are silly thoughts that you shouldn't worry about for now. All that was important was the crystal on the necklace... Hm, that's probably enough for now. You shake your head and try to pry your view away from the necklace. But, um, see, that's the thing. You can't.

It's just so goshdarned beautiful, that thing. How could such a valuable item be thrown away like a rag doll? Maybe a few more minutes staring at it wouldn't hurt. You don't mind that at all. No, that's normal. And so are the faint voices in your head telling you to stare more... deeper...

Nah, that's all normal. As that head of yours slowly gets cleared of any other thought you begin to feel a little lightheaded. You feel very, very floaty and kinda... weightless. That, too, is normal. The voices now grow stronger, and you begin to understand them more, even though you're not really paying attention to them. "Sleepy... Deeper... Obey..." Those eyes are just getting heavier, aren't they...?

The more you focus the more pleasure you feel from just staring at the gem. It's almost controlling you at this point. And you love every bit of it. Everything suddenly starts to go quiet, you can't smell or taste anything anymore. Hell, even your vision is slowly fixating itself on that gem... You could have been here staring at this thing for hours, days, weeks even, and every time you even try to look away it pulls you in more...

Without even thinking you start repeating the words the voices in your head are telling you to repeat. "Deep... Must obey... Sleepy..." You, of course, don't even know you're reciting them. You're just so focused on the necklace and its beauty. So focused, in fact, that you don't even know you're reaching out for your phone and calling the owner right now. It must be incredibly weird for him to pick up the phone and hear you drone out this weird encantation, but just relax... That really won't matter at all, not while you're staring at the gem...

You're still so lost in the gaze of the gem, your eyes want to close but they can't. Not until your new master tells you so. New? Did you have a master before? Nah, that couldn't be possible. But why are you thinking about that when there are better things to stare at? Hell, you don't even matter anymore, do you? You could swear it's been years since you started staring, and you could go for another few more years. 'Cause that's all you serve for. Staring obediently at the crystal and awaiting your Master's orders. Look, what a coincidence, the Hypno is on the phone right now. He can hear you be a good obedient hypnoslave, reciting the words he's telling you to say. What? That makes no sense. The owner was a zebra... unless he, too, is a slave of the Hypno. Yes, now you know. Or should I say, you don't know. Not, at least, until he puts you into a deep trance with those eyes closed.

You've heard things about Hypnos and their nature to feast on dreams, now have you? I'm sure he'll have a fun time eating away your sweet little dreams and taking you in as an empty, lifeless captive, only capable of being used as he deems fit. Your life, or whatever is left of it, is solely about him now. You are talking to him, but you don't know what. Yes, you don't know you're telling him where you live so he can pick you up. No, all you care about is that necklace. You're still staring at it like a good slave, are you? Good. Because that's all you're going to do for now, stare at it. How obedient you are. You're still there, staring at all the little forms and the glow of it while the voices in your head comfort you... telling you to just stay put... and they're getting a little taste of those dreams. Very delicious. Almost the best they've ever eaten so far. You will be a great vessel...

Wait... you lost your keys on the same day you bought the necklace, huh? How will your Master get in now? You could have sworn you had them in your pants... Hm. Must have--

"DROP."

Of all the things you're selling in your house now, that necklace is the biggest thing you need to remove now. It's been bothering you for a long time. Something about it is just... unsettling. Perhaps an unsuspecting buyer will get it. You can sell it for cheap, too. Something like that must go by any means.

A few items here and some of the bigger ones to the side, and this yard sale is underway. It took you a while, but a lion came around and held it up, confirming its authenticity. He looked like he was going to pay a pretty penny for it. You decided to let it slide and let him pay his price of it instead of the intended $5.

Before he left, though, you stop him. You don't know why but the gem... it's telling you to... exchange numbers with the lion. The lion, with obvious concern, did so with you. Wait, you didn't give him your number... where did that number come from?

"Steal his keys." A voice echoes in your mind, and something snaps in you. You look at the lion with a stern look, and as if by magic, the lion is fixed in your gaze, hypnotized by it.

You ask for his keys, and he hands them to you without any arguments. After all, he is under your command, and you could do so many things to him now that he is so out of it... but you don't. His keys are all you need.

For Mater Hypno.
