When Gillesbie saw Carrots and Newbie come into the room, he said, "That is about it. Well it looks like we're about done, Oh Nick thank you." When me and Carrots lift the room, we decided to talk about what we learned before we told doctor Langu. When we got to the break room, at the hospital, I got Carrots and myself a cup of coffee. When I sat down giving Carrots her cup, she said, "Thank you Nick. Newbie told me, he is mostly mad at the fact that the Air Force betrayed him. He also feels that he failed as a leader, by choosing Airman Gillesbie instead of an older airman." I replead, "noble for Newbie, to think of someone else. What do you suggest to make him happier." Carrots said, "I don't know, wish I could help with that. Personally it seems the only way to make him happy is to take him home." I answered "we are trying our hardest. For Gillesbie, I think when he gets out of the hospital, that would help him." For about ten minutes we talked about their situation, until Carrots suggested that we talk to Doctor Langu. When we got to Doctor Langu's office, while she was working hard, we told her what we learned. She told us, "thank you, I can't think of anything you can do. Just take the rest of the day off."
As we were heading out of the hospital, I asked Carrots, "So Carrots, now that we have most of the day off what's the plan." Carrots said, "I would highly suggest that you do the report, remember Chief Bogo would have your skin." I answered, " I will do it later, I just want to enjoy myself right now." Carrots quickly answered, " Come on, we'll go to the precinct, so you can get a report done." I answered, "ok, Carrots just slow down, so maybe I can catch up." At the precinct, I was working on the reports, and extra paperwork, which I never did before. Carrots was talking to Clawhauser, learning about the current talk of the station.
When they were done talking, Carrots came into our office and asked, "Nick do you want to spend the day together." I answered, "I, don't know I was looking forward to locking myself in my apartment." Carrots answered, "har har, come on Nick, what do you say?" While looking at Carrots, she looked like she could break hearts of stone, I answered "of course Carrots." Immediately after telling Carrots yes, I received a message on my phone. It was a text from my mom, asking if I wanted to have lunch with her.
I told Judy, "great my mother, she wants me to come over and have lunch. Unfortunately, I have already declined three other offers for lunch. I should agree, besides it might be a good time to tell her I am a cop now." Carrots answered, "it doesn't look like you have an option. Besides you should never turn down your parents. To bad though it would be fun taking you a new restaurant that just opened up." I answered back, "easy enough, you come with me. Besides you could probably keep my mother from doing something stupid." Before Carrots had a chance to answer back, I texted my mother, telling her yes and that I will be bringing a friend. When Carrots saw what I did, she respond with, "great no matter what I say you already told your mother to prepare for me. Well I guess, I have no choice, lunch is on you today."
When I was done working on the reports, me and Carrots, drove to her home. I stayed the car as Carrots claimed she would be fast, when she finally got in the car again. I said, "Yep, rabbits are slow getting dressed, do you guys need help on how to change?" Carrots answered, "you know this means I will be timing you on how long it takes you." After another short drive I got to my apartment, I said, "how about you come on in, instead of waiting in the car." I got out of the car before Carrots could respond. She followed me until we got to my apartment, as I opened up the front door I said, "Carrots make yourself at home." As I got to my bedroom door and said, "if you will excuse me."
