#2 of Forgotten

".... it was a snap. Pain was everywhere. He seemed blinded and couldn't sense anything around him. All he new was that he was flying fast. He forced his eyes open, and he saw he was flying. It was a tunnel, colored mainly red, but with bits of purple and blue strewn in between. Magical energies flowed around him, engulfing him, then leaving once more. Every time the energies flew in and hit him, the pain increased. His throbbing ligaments didn't bother him as much as the sight. At the end of the tunnel, which was far, far away, there was a bright light, tinted green. Once again the pain hit him. He looked over his body and saw his flesh deteriorating. He barely let out a gasp as the pain left then quickly returned. He clenched his hands in a fist, yet it was a mystery to him. His flesh was burned, parts of his bone appeared, and yet, he was able to move. The energies hit him once more, and his soul was torn from his body. A ghostly image of him appeared above his body. It slowly flew back into him. He unclenched his fists, unable hold them there any longer. His soul was pulled at again. He felt emptiness inside of him as it was freed from his elvish flesh. His magic was gone. His soul was gone. The color in his eyes turned cold white, leaving only the black pupil. He closed his eyes and managed to pull his knees to his chest. Zura didn't realize his journey was coming to an end. He was lost, his mind slowing, emptying, nothing to keep it on track. One last pain, and he was through the hole..."

Three days had past since the foremost encounter. Fair weather had seen to their fortunes, and their camp was now covered clearly with branches, a thatch roof, and a make shift outhouse. The leaves were finally starting to change. The fire was burning low, when the two of them came back. Both of them were laughing at the other.

Zura sat down on his small stump, coated in mud. "Oh that was actually fun! You should have seen your face when that fish pulled you into the water!" he fell back with his arms across his stomach, laughing extremely hard. "Ahh hahaha" was all that was heard for a little while.

Faeir on the other hand, was able to control his laughter a bit better. "Haha, well, that's nothin compared you to jumping after me, grabbing on to my legs--" He broke out in a loose laugh, finally sitting down, gasping for air now. "I can't believe you actually pulled down my pants! I picked a good day to wear some undies!" Faeir broke into another laugh, this one not as long, but it was deeper, and had more volume to it.

Zura leaned over, picked up a log, and threw it on the fire. He'd finally gotten used to being a fox. Faster than he thought he'd be able to. He was lost the first day, having no magical abilities to depend upon, he was forced to reshape his life. "Well atleast you didn't rack your nuts and lad in a mud pit!" For effect, he whiped his hands across his chest, and flung some mud at Faeir, who started to giggle once more.

"Hey, that's uncalled for! Put some more wood on the fire." Faeir said to him. "Alright, alright! How did you manage to stay hanging on to that fish for so long? That was amazing!" He reached over to the pile, picked up a couple logs of fire wood, and tossed them on to the fire. Ashes and coals flew into the night air, then fly off along the with the wisps of wind.

"Heh, that really was nothing. How you holding up after... ugh... getting racked?" He broke once more out in laughter, being cut off as he was pushed over by Zura.

"Glad you find that funny, I could have been permamently crippled down there! I should kick yo--" The log popped, causing both of them to jump in surprise. They burst out in laughter once more.

"Alright, enough of this, the night is pulling on, and we've got to reinforce the walls the coming up week for winter. An early start won't hurt us much." Faeir managed to say.

Zura sat up again, mud falling of his fur and clothes. "Doesn't sound to bad." he responded to that with a yawn. "Hey, when do I get to take a shower or get to bathe? It's been long enough without getting clean." Faeir sat back upon his log before he said anything.

With a small chuckle he replied. "Well, there is a that lake we just came from, or our water stream, either way, your going to freeze your balls off, unless you rack them again first! Ok, I'm sick of these wet clothes, let's change, I'm sure you're a bit more uncomfortable than me... with all that mud.." he started laughing again.

"Yeah, thats what I was actually about to ask, thanks again, you know, for taking me in and all, and giving me clothes and food. I seriously don't know what I'd do without you! This whole thing, it screwed around with me. Remember when I you asked me who I was, and I told you I was Zura?" Faeir looked at him curiously, trying to make some eye contact, but to know avail.

"Yeah, what about it?" Zura paused for a moment before continueing.

"Well, I didn't give you the whole story. See, I wasn't always a fox, and I didn't come from this place, or, maybe I did, just not from this time." He finally made eye contact with Faeir, who was just staring at him blankly.

"Wha.... wa..... wa.... What? What do you mean? How can you not be a fox? Everybody is a fox! Unless you perform an act of bestiality, and create a half breed. Sure your not just pulling my leg?" Faeir really wasn't sure of himself now. What would this mean? Would it change anything? Maybe this animal was a criminal. Zura was a handsome fox, nothing even remotely close to a criminal look to him.He forced out a fake laugh, to try to make it out like Zura was playing a joke.

"I was a mage. I had magical power. I could control the fire, ice, and the arcane. I had power at my finger tips and I wasn't a fox." he broke the eye contact, and looked down at the fire. The smoke burned his eyes, causing him to finally tear up for more reasons than one.

"Then what were you? Do you know how you got here then?" Faeir was actually curious, when he really thought he should be scared of this... thing.

"I doubt you'll believe me, but I was actually... ughh... it's hard to remember! I was fighting someone. Something to do with a tournament. Next thing I knew, I'm being sucked into a dark tunnel. I was being stripped of my entire self-being! I can't think of it! All I know was that I wasn't this fox!" he said that last part forcefully, and banged his fist down upon his knee.

"Whoa, calm down! Being a fox isn't bad, you've got the reflexes, the good looks, and come with a decent sized package if you know what I mean!" Faeir leaned over, and elbowed Zura in the side. Zura didn't respond to nicely to that, with Faeir not really taking this whole ordeal seriously. He pushed him away lightly, and looked towards the forest. "Look," said Faeir, "I'm just in disbelief right now. This has never happened to me, and probably never will. Think you could remember after a good nights rest? I am very curious about you. I hope you remember sometime soon. I think I'm going to hit the sack." Faeir let out a small yawn, stretching his arms as he did so.

"It's fine, I'm just thinking deeply. Sleep will do me some good. Could you bring out some extra clothes for me? It's starting to get cold." Zura put another log on the fire. It responded with a loud pop, spitting out ashes onto the ground, burning up their life force quickly, then smothering into nothing among the dead bits and pieces found along the grass.

"Yeah, be right back." Faeir replied. Privacy didn't really matter out here in the wilderness. If one beast saw another nude, no big deal. Faeir returned with a bundle of fur clothes in his hands. "Here you go, put your wet clothes on the clothes line over there." he pointed towards the twine wrapped around between to trees.

"Thanks" Zura said with a shiver. He lifted the muddy shirt above his head. His orange fur was tinted brown with mud. To his surprise, he actually had a muscular stomach. Sure it wasn't his dream body, but his tight six-pack wasn't something he'd start complaining about. He looked over at Faier, who was also looking at him.

"Well, I see you've been doing some nice core workouts! Nice body!" he laughed and took off his shirt too. His chest wasn't as developed, only a few traces of muscles through his body.

"Actually, I've never worked out, I'm probably more surprised than you!" Zura started checking himself out, rubbing his hands back and forth across his body. With a chuckle, he then pulled down his pants. They slid of nicely, and plopped them on the small pile already forming. Faeir followed his actions and removed his.

"Uhh, this feels so good to finally take these off, as wrong as that sounds!" He lastly took off his undies, his sheath swaying lightly as he tossed his last garment to the pile. Faier did the same, and the two male foxes just stood there observing each other.

"Hmmm, you balls don't seem damaged that much by the racking they recieved" Zura laughed at this, put his leg on the stump, and began scraping off the mud caked onto his left leg.

"Gee, thanks, they may not look like it, but it still hurts pretty bad!" He grabs his balls, rubs them around a bit, squinging a bit from the pain. "See?" he switched his legs, and started scraping away. Faeir was actually just sitting, observing Zura at work. They'd actually gotten a little used to seeing eachother naked. Faeir didn't like it too much, but he didn't mind. He lean back a bit, spread his legs, allowing the fire to warm his furry sack. Zura finished his lower half, including his sack, which Faeir was watching intensely, then started on his chest. About 10 minutes of this, Zura was done. By this time, Faeir's friend started peeking out. Zura looked over at him.

"Whats that eh?" he laughed, seeing the fox cock barely peeping out.

"Oh, sorry, I was just... ugh... thinking about the girls back at home." he said, lieing through his teeth.

"It's fine, no worries." They just sorta stared at eachother for awhile, until Zura broke the silence. "Well, I'm off to bed! Good night, don't get too excited!" He grabbed some furs, wrapped them around him, and went inside the wooden structre before a reply was made.

"Night" said Faeir to no one. He sighed, grabbed some furs, and snuggled up beside the fire.
