#1 of Duke & Alex

This is my first story here, and I'm fairly nervous. Any tips are welcomed, and if there are typo's, let me know please. By the way, this is a romance story, and even though there wont be yiff in this one, there will be in the following ones. And not to mention, all the disclaimers, and blah, blah, blah..

**********

Alex stood in his bedroom, and peered out into the garden from his window. Rosalina, the nurse, laced up his stay (a rococo style corset) pulling his petite figure into an even more "V" shape. He yelped as it was pulled as tight as possible then tied.

"I'm sorry sir, was that too tight?" Rosalina asked.

"not at all...its meant to be this tight." Alex said, even though he winced. Rosalina was an aged vixen, and a tad on the chubby side. She had been the family's nurse for years, and loved Alex, as if he were a child of her own.

"would you mind grabbing the dress for me Rosalina? I put it on the bed." Alex said as he gazed into the full length mirror on the wall next to the window. His golden fur shone in the fading light, as he prepared for the nights events. He always enjoyed being a fox, and he admired his beautiful white tipped tail as well.

Every year, his parents put on a Halloween costume party, inviting friends and family into their elaborate mansion. Alex was a 15 year old fox, and an open homosexual. Not only was he gay, but a cross dresser as well. His class mates were rather unaccepting, so as a child, Alex learned defensive martial arts. Despite this though, he was very happy. The few friends he had were loyal, and understanding, mostly because they were also gay, or female. During his development, he had taken after his beautiful mother in appearance, and could easily be mistaken for a female, from a distance.

"here you are sir." Rosalina spoke as she handed the golden rococo gown to Alex. He thanked her, then slipped it over his head. It had a square cut neckline, trimmed with lace, and was pre-measured to his size. A woman's 5 dress size. He was going as Elizabeth Swann to his father's ball, and intended to be a show stopper. Alex sat at his vanity while Rosalina pinned his long, luxurious head fur up. the top was poofed upwards, giving a slightly higher appearance, then folded into a tight bun in the back. Beneath that, the rest were curled into ringlets.

"my, you look lovely. How you can surpass even the woman I'll never understand..." Rosalina gawked at her work.

"well, its your talents that do it, rosy." Alex said, with a warm smile.

"its almost time sir, do you wish to use the matching bonnet hat?" she asked.

"certainly." Alex replied. He gingerly placed it over his head, and secured it beneath his chin. He topped the detailed costume with an Austrian crystal necklace, in the shape of a heart on his neck.

"I've already got the fan, lets go." Alex said as he briskly stepped from the chair and walked to the door.

His heals echoed on the marble floor as he walked towards the ballroom, one the floor below. His father would be cross if he was late for his announcement; there was a surprise for him, apparently.

****************

"Duke!" Mathew called. "are you done in there yet!?" he impatiently asked knocking on the bedroom door.

"ill be out in a second!" Duke called back.

"well, if your still planning on crashing the party, you'd better be quick!" Duke was a 16 year old wolf with dark grey fur. His muscles shone through the sliced cotton shirt of his costume. He had been waiting since last year to ruin the Capulet's party, since his family had theirs had always disagreed. Mathew called again,

"hurry up!"

"all right...I'm on my way." duke stepped out of his room, and eyed the raccoon suspiciously.

"what are you supposed to be Matt?" Duke asked with a chuckle.

"isn't it obvious? I'm a jester!" Mathew said gesturing towards the tights, and colorful vest, and various pieces.

"whatever. Lets get going. We are meeting up with the others at the back of the estate at 7o'clock. we've got an hour to kill."

(back at Capulet Manor)

Alex waited behind the double doors that entered into the ballroom. He heard his father on the other side,

"....And I'd like to announce my son, Alex Capulet!" the doors were opened, and Alex gracefully glided through, stopping just in front of the door. Alex noticed another man at his father's side, wondering what the surprise was. As if he had sensed his curiosity, Capulet spoke again:

"and I would also like to introduce, his newly betrothed, Prince." these last words struck Alex in the gut.

‘betrothed...? What is going on?..' he questioned himself. The guests clapped as he faked a smile, and walked to his father's side.

"Betrothed? Father, why didn't you tell me about this!?" he questioned irritably.

"I decided for you, because Prince is a very powerful man. A very powerful man, interested In YOU Alex.

Not to mention, this is your surprise! Isn't it wonderful?" His father questioned. Alex was in shock. His idea of 'wonderful' was terrible.

"Now don't be rude, introduce yourself to him." Alex deliberately deliberatley ignored his father, and descended the half staircase to the ballroom floor. He knew he would get away with it, since there were guests that his father had to attend to.

The ballroom had multiple, large glass doors that opened up onto a large, terrace balcony. The garden was just below the balcony, just like his bedroom's. He walked through the guests, and to the stone railing, and gazed at his favorite part of the garden; the roses. It was just passed seven, and the cool air around him was darkened.

"it's a good thing for this dress and its extra heat...this cold goes straight through my fur." he thought aloud.

Matt and Duke stood behind a wrought iron gate, that led directly into the Capulet garden. The street lamps provided dim lighting as they awaited their fellow party crashers.

"you gave them the message, right?" Duke asked Mathew.

"of course I did....they are just...late." Matt replied.

"well we cant keep waiting. We should go ahead and sneak in. if they catch up later, I'm sure they can figure out to get in." Duke climbed the gaps in the gate, till he reached the top. He was careful not to stab himself on the spikes at the top while he stepped over and climbed down.

"Wow, terrible security. You'd think Capulet would think too put, like A guard here." Matt said as he to stepped over the spikes and climbed down. The two snuck behind the fountain, and through the trees towards the terrace staircase.

"go ahead and put on your mask matt, if we are recognized, it's the end of our fun." Duke pulled out his black Zorro mask, and put it on. Matt being a jester, pulled out a porcelain painted mask, and tied it in place.

"Now hurry up, there are the stairs."

Alex gazed dreamily at nothing when something caught his eye. It was two guests-- they were wearing costumes so he assumed-- so he stepped away from the railing, and headed towards the staircase. This area of the balcony was unlit, and as he descended, he practically bumped into a Zorro. Their hands met on the railing, and they both looked up, into each others eyes. Fireworks began shooting off the roof, giving a multi-colored view of one another.

"I...I'm so sorry...I didn't mean to just run into you like that.." Alex said in his dreamy voice.

"No, it's perfectly alright....I should have been watching were I was going.." Duke replied.

"well, lets get going! The punch table is that way!" Matt cut in.

"oh...right..." duke followed matt as they passed by Alex, leaving him to soak in his new feelings.

‘those eyes...' he thought to himself. ‘so mysterious....yet inviting...who was he?' he thought as he climbed the stairs back up to the party.

"Matt, who was that girl we bumped into on the stairs?" Duke asked when they reached the lit interior.

"Girl? Alex Capulet is as much as a girl as me." Mathew mocked.

"What do you mean? that couldn't of been a boy. Did u see her eyes...and that figure?" Duke asked again.

"Alex is a boy. He took after his mother. He is a fag that looks like a girl. End of story." Matt concluded. Duke was shocked. He had just thought about....with a boy...but still. Even though he knew the truth now, he had to speak with him again.

Alex stood in front of the Glass doors inside, talking with his friends he had bumped into.

"Omg! I just love your parents parties! And this house!" Amy said.

"Seriously, you are so lucky! They even have that famous D.J from that club across town!" Bridget added, with the third friend Sarah nodding in agreement. The music began playing again, but this time, it was a laid back Taylor swift song....Love story. Alex appeared as if he had not heard anything they had said, and stared longingly towards the staircase.

"what's up with you Alex? You have barely spoken to us since we ran into you." Sarah questioned.

"there...was this boy I ran into.." Alex said. Immediately followed by three, "oooooooooooh's." and before the conversation could be finished, a strong hand tapped Alex on the shoulder. He turned around, and faced the Zorro again.

"You.." Alex began. Duke shushed him, them guided him to the ballroom floor. The girls were all in shock at how luck Alex just got, and watched the two walk away. Duke and Alex stood in the waltz beginning steps, and then were off. Love story still played, and it wasn't the perfect waltz music, but none of that mattered right then.

"I have to tell you...I have felt off since I bumped into you...a feeling that told me I had to be next to you, always." Duke said. Alex blushed at this, but then spoke as well.

"There is something I have to tell you as well...I am a male. I'm not female..." he looked to the floor as they danced expecting it to stop, but it didn't. they continued dancing.

"I know.." Duke said.

Alex's face lit up again, looking into the face of this handsome stranger. this was not to last unfortunately, for Alex noticed Prince approaching them.

"I apologize, but I'm needed by my father...Farwell.." Alex feared being hurt again, by this stranger. Many times in the past, cruel jokes were played on him like this, so he simply walked away. A gut-wrenching feeling hit him, as if saying, "go back to him.."

"damn it! Not even an hour and he wrapped me around his paw.." he thought. Alex rudely walked right past Prince, leaving him standing there curiously, and walked towards Rosalina.

"Rosy, do you know who that boy is over there?" Alex asked pointing to the Zorro.

"I'll find out for you sir. Just a minuet." she said as she walked towards him at a relaxed pace. When she way halfway too him, she turned, and headed towards Alex's cousin, Toby. He was also a fox, but a deeper red than Alex.

"Do you see that boy over there?" Rosalina asked pointing to Duke once more.

"the Zorro?" Toby asked.

"yes, who is he?" Rosalina asked. Toby thought for a moment, then frowned.

"That's Montague's son, duke! What is he doing here!?" Toby asked angrily.

"Now now, sir. Your father wouldn't want you to start something in public, especially if he hasn't been mischievous yet." Rosalina warned, grabbing his arm lightly.

"Fine." Toby said irritably as he walked away. Rosalina walked back towards Alex, who was still daydreaming about his mysterious heart-stealer.

"That is Duke Montague sir." Rosalina said. Alex was surprised by this. Had he just fallen for a Montague? Without saying a word, he walked back up the stairs, and out of the ballroom. He made it to his room, turned on the lights, and closed the door. He immediately took his hat off, and threw the fan on the bed.

"A Montague!?" he asked himself. Meanwhile, Duke had noticed Alex walk off, and slipped back outside. He ran around the mansion, looking for his room, being careful not to be seen. A light clicked on in a balcony window, and he knew it has Alex. The doors opened, and Alex stepped through, leaning on the edge of the balcony. Duke ducked behind a tree, and listened.

"Duke, sweet, sweet, duke. Were ever could you be? Oh why did you have to be a Montague? If only you could Forget that name, and refuse your father....even I would be willing to disregard my family, and be with you..." Alex spoke.

"Should I hear more, or should I speak?" Duke thought...

"It is only your name that is my enemy... you are yourself, and cant help the family you were born into. Oh what is a Montague anyways? It isn't a hand, or foot, or anything else belonging to man. That which they call a rose, by any other name would smell as sweet..." it was at this point that Duke had removed his mask, and snuck to the vine covered wall. He climbed up towards his balcony, and stopped just below the railing waiting to hear more.

"oh duke...if only you were here right now.." He said to himself. Duke climbed the rest of the way up, and said

"I am, my sweet." Alex jumped when he heard duke speak so suddenly. He looked over at duke, happy but curious.

"Duke!? How did you get up here? What if the guards were to see you!?"

"I could care less about that right now. I wanted to see you again." He said. Alex walked over to the edge, leaned in close and gazed into his eyes.

"I love your eyes...they're so beautiful..." Alex said.

"I love you." Duke replied. Alex blushed again before smiling.

"I love you too.." Duke leaned up and kissed Alex passionately, putting his paw on the back of Alex's neck. Alex put his paws on Duke's shoulders, supporting himself.

Alex broke away from the kiss, and gestured for Duke to climb onto the balcony. He did so, and wrapped his big strong arms around his lover, and kissed him again. Their tongues explored each others mouths, while their hands explored each others body. Duke broke the kiss, and moved down Alex's neck, nibbling it gently. Alex moaned softly at this, shuddering from pleasure.

"undress me..." Alex said. It didn't take much encouragement for Duke to do so. Alex turned around, and pulled his hair to the side. Duke began untying the corset, and got it half way down when the bedroom door opened. Alex gasped with fright of being caught, and pushed Duke into the wall unseen from his room.

"I'm hear to help you get out of that dress sweetie!" It was Rosalina. Luckily, she hadn't noticed Duke.

"Oh, th-thank you.."

Alex began. He turned around, and held his hair up again. Rosalina quickly got it off, then slid the dress down. Next was the corset, and as she unlaced it, Duke watched from the corner of the balcony door. Alex noticed and smiled.

‘just another minuet alone and we would have done something..' he thought to himself. Once the corset was undone, Alex asked Rosalina to leave so he could dress. Rosalina obliged, and left the room. Duke stepped from behind the door, and into his room. Alex was now in a silken mid-thigh nightgown, that was a light pink color.

"I'm so sorry about that duke...I forgot to lock the door." Alex said.

"That's fine...we can lock it now.." He began.

"No, my nurse has keys, and if I don't answer the door, she'll use them....another time though, I promise. But for now, you've got to get out of here. The guards will be patrolling soon enough." Alex said, leading Duke by hand back to the balcony.

"But when will I see you again?" Duke asked.

"Tomorrow night at 8 in the garden...I'm sure you'll get back in the same way." Alex winked. And with that, they kissed a final time, and Duke descended the Vines.

"Parting is such sweet sorrow....I'll be thinking of you until tomorrow..." Alex said as Duke disappeared behind the trees.
