Chapter 2

Myles gathered his belongings the next morning and everything in his old apartment was stored away in his duffel bag and carry-on backpack. The landlord scolded him on how disrespectful Myles was, coming up to him and dropping off his apartment keys without warning.

The dog pulled out the card he got yesterday with black letters in italics with a phone number at the bottom.

'Training Den, eh? Sounds corny.' he thought, keeping the card in his paw while signaling for a taxi.

The taxi pulled up and Myles put his duffel bag and backpack in the trunk, before he opened the rear passenger door.

The dog entered the car, and the badger driver, with his driver's cap on, glanced at him. "Where to?"

"Here." He replied, showing him the card and the driver acknowledged.

"20 minutes."

Myles reclined in his seat and searched the internet for Tyrese, revealing a couple suggestions from his search. Luckily, he found a hit and clicked on the link with his thumb.

Information was displayed on his device and saw that the hybrid is well known for his boxing and judo combination in caged fights, winning a number of matches and one championship belt in his weight division.

He read the news and found out he made headline news but wasn't proud of it. "Dog gets leased by Master Davis. An upset for the Newcomer."

'Heh, Master Davis, eh?' He saw and clicked his phone to silent mode, glancing at the tall buildings while the cab driver drove to his destination.

He reflected on the kiss last night, reminiscing his past that he hoped to forget. However, the kiss triggered some forgotten memories. With the people he got serious, they ended up cheating on him, and he couldn't understand why they would leave him. All he wanted was solitude and move on, putting himself in cage fights and earning his money.

His eyes shifted once the car stopped in front of a small building with a sign "Training Den" imprinted above the threshold.

"Here it is, kid. You want help getting stuff from the trunk?"

Myles shook his head, getting himself out of the car. "Nah, I'm okay. Thanks." He paid the taxi fare and got his belongings out. The golden retriever slammed the trunk and the driver took off into the city streets.

'Well, this is it. What did Tyrese say? Talk to the guy Marco? I'll start there.'

He holstered his bag over his shoulder and carried the duffel bag in his left hand. His biceps protruded out of his shirt fabric, bulging underneath the cloth.

The dog pushed the door open, with the fluorescent lights illuminating the area. In his eyes, he saw the gym set up nicely with a mock-up setup of a cage in the far right corner of the facility. To the left had 25 100 lb punching bags hanging from the ceiling, all the bags lined up in a 5x5 formation. Ahead was designated for weight lifting, providing necessary equipment from bench presses, iron plates, and weights.

To the right was a counter made from glass, showcasing a number of belts. Myles knelt down and glanced at the trophies, taking a closer look at the gold embroidered belt. The golden retriever saw the name "Tyrese Davis" embroidered on it.

His ears caught a voice above the glass case and Myles stood on his feet, noticing a large raccoon with a compressed red tank top and dark blue shorts. He had black stripes laid across his tail. The raccoon's chest protruded out so much that Myles would surely lose in a test of strength of chest bumping. His red eyes glanced down at Myles while he carried his backpack over his shoulder with his bag on the floor.

"Yo, looking for a 'Marco' in the vicinity. Are you him?"

Marco nodded as he glanced down while his eyes fixated on the dog. "Yeah. That'd be me. You're Myles, right?"

"Yep." Myles replied, taking off his backpack from his shoulder. "Tyrese goes here? Been told to mention my name."

Marco moved around the counter with his height clearly looming over the smaller dog. The raccoon had at least 6 inches on him and muscles similar to a bodybuilder's. He wore black shorts as he motioned him to follow.

"Come with me." he said tersely. Myles carried his bags with him as well, hoping the raccoon would lead him to his own room. Marco led him down a narrow hallway with white plastered walls and a narrow walkway. The golden retriever examined the hallways. It turned out that the facility was larger than he thought, despite outwardly having a run-down, rustic appearance.

The lights flickered, causing Myles to get a slight headache from the lights not functioning properly.

Marco stopped and turned to the second door on the right. He knocked on the door and spoke while his left paw grabbed the handle. "Ty, there's someone to see you. Coming in." The raccoon opened the door with Myles followed behind him. Myles was awed by the topless hybrid, practicing boxing techniques in his red cotton shorts.

The hybrid stopped, giving off a smile at both of them and waved his right glove. Tyrese approached them, giving a fist bump.

"Hey Myles, glad you found the place." He said while approaching him, hugging him before pulling away from the golden retriever.

Myles shook his head and placed his stuff down on the ground. "Nah, it ain't hard. Looked up your name online. Never thought that you'd be big in the fighting world."

Tyrese blushed and nodded. "Yeah. Pretty famous and all. That headline mentioned this morning made me cringe. You're really good, Myles. Oh, Marco, let Connor know about Myles' living arrangements. He'll be staying with me."

Myles' eyes grew wide as the hybrid mentioned that. Marco nodded. "Ya got it boss." He took his leave. Tyrese took off his boxing gloves and hand tape around his wrists. The hybrid went to his counter and took a drink of his water. His living quarters didn't consist much furniture, except for maybe a sofa, coffee table, and a small kitchen.

Myles raised a question that was on his mind. "Live together!? You crazy?"

Tyrese shook his head and explained the situation. "Well, the rooms are pretty small and have to double up in living spaces. Since you're a new member, I decided to take you in."

Myles grunted as he let Tyrese finish his sentence. "No way to get my own room?"

"I'm afraid not," Tyrese said, leaning against the counter in the kitchen as he finished the bottle of water. We're given these rooms and whoever decides to join our gym, their provisions will be provided."

"I see," Myles nodded his head. "Well, I suppose it can't be helped."

Tyrese grinned, tossing the water bottle into the trash can and pressed closer to the golden retriever, groping his ass with his paw. "I know you loved me groping your ass and kissing you that night."

"Hah, that just caught me by surprise is all. I went with it." Myles responded while his paws were around the hybrid's back, rubbing it slowly and carefully feeling every muscle underneath his finger pads. He stroked his hair lovingly which Tyrese flushed, moving away from Myles' touch.

"Well, you're cute as hell. Don't read into it too much." Tyrese rebutted before a knock echoed the room.

"Yeah?" was Tyrese's response, allowing an enormous cougar enter the room. He was shirtless and wore purple trunks and black gloves. Myles saw the cougar, finding himself amazed that someone like him and Marco would have that sort of musculature.

The cougar approached with Marco at his side, wrapping his paw around his waist and slipped his paw into the raccoon's pants, stroking his privates gently. The cougar pulled his paw away and smiled. "Ya could've told me a hot guy is joining our gym."

Tyrese shook his head, letting out a laughter. "Hey Connor, This is Myles. Thanks for providing him a room on short notice."

Connor smiled, nodding his head affirmatively. "No problem at all." He turned his massive body over to the smaller Myles, extending out his giant paw. "Connor Mackeroy. Heavyweight fighter and boyfriend to this raccoon." The cougar spanked the raccoon's ass which Marco glared at Connor, snaring at him.

"Damn it, not here." Marco blushed after he felt Connor's paw on his butt.

"You know I'm just playing, hon." The cougar nudged his shoulders while Myles extended his paw and shook the feline's hand.

"Myles Jaden," the golden retriever replied, not surprised by the overwhelming grip on his paw. He released the grip off the cougar and exchanged glances with each other. "Eh, it's fine. I'll take what I can get."

Connor smiled. "Sorry bud. This is how it is and we are running out of space for single rooms. So, all the rooms here have two roommates."

Myles nodded, placing his belongings down on the floor and stretched his body out. Tyrese motioned and patted his shoulder. "Well, suit up. You're going to have a few rounds with a buddy of mine, only sparring this time."

Myles nodded. "All right. I'll change."

Connor and Marco smiled, taking their leave and the cougar waved his paw, giving a smile towards both of them. "Well, can't wait to see you two get in there and make out!"

Tyrese blushed underneath his fur and stuttered his response. "I-i-it's not like that, Connor!"

"Hahaha, I kid. See you guys on the floor." The cougar said before he walked out of the room with Marco, wrapping his paw around his waist as they walked out.

The hybrid grew a little flustered from what the golden retriever could tell. He sighed before entering their hallway. "I suggest you wear something comfortable and easy to move around in. We're going to be working our asses off in the cage we have here."

Myles affirmed before Tyrese took his leave into the room to change. The golden retriever was now fully enlisted in the gym. He noticed that there was a lot more to Tyrese than he thought. He quietly stared down at his belongings before carrying them in his paws before heading into the hallway to change with him.

Once he got into the room, he saw the most awesome body he'd seen. Tyrese's back was defined with muscle, with his shoulder blades creating hills centering from his back bone. As he changed into his tank top, his muscles worked together to reveal the hidden muscles underneath his broad back. Myles appreciated his posture and form, even thinking about caressing it to see how his fur feels under Myles' finger tips.

Tyrese turned around after he put on his tank top and retrieved his hand wraps. "You should use this room as well to change."

Myles nodded, pulling off his shirt as he felt the cold chill against his golden fur. He dug into his gym bag as well while he faced the wall to change. The hybrid finished putting on his practice gloves and then, taking a glimpse at the golden retriever's arms. His arms consisted of little fat content, clearly showing off his definition. Tyrese licked his muzzle around his maw, admiring his muscles before Myles finished changing into the appropriate attire: a black tank-top with red shorts.

Myles caught a glimpse of Tyrese's eyes gazing at him. He snickered as he rose up, getting his tape and practice gloves. "You love my arms, Tyrese?"

The hybrid blushed a bit and ran his paw through his combed back hair, letting out a small chuckle. "Well, yeah. You could say that your arms are rather... worthy to look at."

"Heh, thanks. Been doing nothing but workouts and fights all my life." Myles said as he let the hybrid go first. "After you."

Tyrese led the way outside their room and down the hallway. The dog caught a glimpse of the wolf-cheetah's butt from the rear. He admitted that his ass was formed quite nicely before walking beside him and placed his paw on his shoulder. "So, what things will we be doing today?"

Tyrese turned his head towards Myles and replied. "I'll have Damian call up a border collie friend of ours to work on your style."

"I don't work with anybody," Myles said bluntly. "That's been my thing."

Tyrese growled, slugging him in the shoulder. "Well, your thing better be working with someone or consider getting your fights on your own."

The dog stayed quiet, not wanting to jeopardize his chances of getting fights on his own. Myles switched the subject. "Who's the guy?"

"Derrick Bates. Kinda has an attitude problem, like you." He chuckled, nudging his shoulder. "But if anything, he knows the ins and outs of kickboxing. You'll learn a lot from him."
