david's collage days part twenty one
"Tis the season to be jolly tra la, la, la" said David as he decorated the house in Christmas time and boy did it look good he had put tinsel up and the fairy lights for indoors now it was time for outdoors ones.
David had brought some outdoor lights and put them all round the house they were little multi coloured lamps and then he had some icicles ones and they looked very pretty and now it was time to get the tree not a real one a fake one so off to the shops to find a tree.
The shopping centre was mad everybody was running around and buying stuff but David and Sarah knew what to buy Christmas food and a tree but not too big just big enough for the room
"Will 5ft do?" asked David
"Anything bigger or smaller?"
"No, unless you want an 8ft tree"
"No that's too big go with the 5ft tree"
They brought the 5ft tree and now it was time to get the present's both David and Sarah went opposite ways and would meet back here the clock tower at 12:00 and that what they did David did the shopping for present's for him and Sarah and his parent's and Sarah did the food shopping as it was Christmas they had both got a bonus from working namely all year round in the pound store David and Sarah were soon full of shopping and gifts.
So at twelve o'clock they both meet and went home very slowly the car was very full and now it needed to be emptied before going and getting more Christmas stuff like the frozen foods as they unloaded the car it started to snow they unloaded the car and after a quick change into warmer cloths they made a snowman and had a snowball fight and they did have fun.
After a long day it was time rap the present's David did Sarah's and his parent's whilst Sarah rapped David's present's and her parent's gifts then it was time to put them under the tree, oh dear when the snow fell David and Sarah forgot to put up the tree they had brought it in from the car but had forgot to put it up, so before they could put the present's under the tree they had to set the tree up this was quite easy as it was a simple push the feet in and then push the layers down and after a couple of minutes it was up now time to decorate the tree they had brought some new and old decorations old ones from there mum's and dad's house and some new ones seeing as it was their first Christmas in there own house.
After putting the tree up David said "let's have some music on"
He turned the telly on to one of the music channels witch at Christmas time was playing old Christmas hits and as they decorated the tree the music played on but every so often they have to put the mute on as a new song would come on and was no good and David stopped when they played Queen made in heaven he loved that track.
At last the tree looked fine but now the weather was turning bad so David went out and got some logs for the fire that would keep there feet warm and made sure that Joey was nice and warm as well in his old coat on Christmas day he'd be getting a new one.
After a while it was time to play a game of yu gi oh but Sarah couldn't because she had to put all the frozen food away and then make some cakes for there parents so David started to decorate the inside of the house with bits of more tinsel and then drew up a plan of how they put the house in the Christmas mode when he heard a big crash come from outside.
Joey was going mad and David rushed out, a car had lost control on icy roads and gone strait though the fence the diver was now trapped so David broke the window and saved the diver who was a off duty police officer going home but had lost control he had tried to keep control but lost it.
David dragged him in and set him down in a chair
"Keep an eye on him" said David to Sarah
"I've got to fix the fence and tend to Joey".
Before the snow the fence had a ditch in front of it so water could flow down and into the man hole so David's front lawn would not flood and the car had clipped this and turned over onto its side, Joey soon settled down but the weather was getting worse the snow was now coming down harder so David locked Joey in for the night and made sure he had lots of water and hay and some extra food.
Back in the house David was checking the man over other then what looked like a saw hand and a bit shaken from the expense the man was fine.
After an hour he came too
"Where am I?" he said weakly as he got up he saw David and Sarah.
He asked them what happened David said
"You had an accident but your fine now"
"Here have some soup".
The man eat the soup and then phoned his wife the man was a very tall giraffe called jolly and he was a fine man he told David the snow was coming down faster now and there was no way he could get home a he said
"Can I stay the night?"
Sarah said "there is a spare bed up stairs and on the right and there should be some spare PJ's as well".
After a long night of talking about stuff and things that jolly had gotten in to it was time for bed he said the bed was fine and that they were very kind to let him stay for the night.
In the morning the snow had stopped but the roads where very Sippy and it was time for jolly to go home David said he drop jolly off at home seeing as his car was covered in snow and still on the wrong side and also was no good seeing as it was on its roof for a long time and it also had a broken window.
It was the night before Christmas and there was the faint sound of music coming from the front room David had somehow fallen asleep in front of the fire whist watching telly and he was very tried from clearing the snow and he was not going to move so Sarah put a blanket over David and kissed him and she said this in his ear
"Good night for in the morning it would be Christmas"
David smiled and turned around in the blanket and Sarah went up stairs and fell asleep on the bed.
In the morning Sarah was woken up to the sound of David shouting
"IT'S CHRISTMAS DAY"
and after breakfast it was time to open presents then go down to see David's mum and dad and on boxing day to Sarah's mum and dad's but first presents, David opened up the first one and found the newest box of yu-gi-oh cards then it was Sarah's turn she opened it and found a very nice top of the line watch they opened the rest of there present's and then went to David's mum and dad's.
It was now December the 28th and all was happy David was playing with his remote controlled car a nice USA classic and Sarah was putting on makeup for the first time, just then the letter box went David picked up the letter and read it out load for Sarah to hear as he walked back into the living room,
"To the people who saved my life and gave me shelter for the night and warmth thank you in closed in the letter is a check for 200 pounds, thank you my family thwart that I would not be home for Christmas but I was thanks to you David and thank you Sarah for the soup and spare clothes seeing as where David had drug me out of the car my where all ripped and wet, you friend SGT. Jolly P.S. don't spend it all in one go"
David and Sarah now had a bit of money to spend on Joey seeing as all he got for Christmas was a new coat and a brush but now they could buy him a nicer shelter and that was the happiest moment David could remember.
