The boat's foghorn was roaring, signalling cast off from the dock, onboard were the students bound for the Alrevis acadomy the most prestigious school for the young duellist, at the railings of the boat watching the early mourning sunshine rise from the horizon was a young raven girl, her hair was ebony and down to he ankles, her eyes were lilac in shade and bottomless in depth, she wore cold blue lipstick on her lips, her clothes were a simple pair of black jeans with a white leather top buckled at the back, she had on a pair of purple converses with black skulls on the side, she had on a white leather jacket, her arms were folded over the railing, her head was sunk onto her arms, she breathed in the deep salty sea air, the refreshing feeling wafting past her nose gently, the cold wind stirred the tips of her trail gently, she was slowly losing herself in the dawns amber sunlight

"hey Angel get over here" the sound of a femms voice carried over to the relaxing raven girl, she groaned and walked over to her friend, this femm was a slim ferret, her short hair was white with black streaks along it, her face was covered in a black mask, she wore a black t shirt with nirvana on the front of it, she had on a pair of worn in jeans the slight scratching on the knees and thighs completing her look, on her feet she wore green converses, she had on a nightmare before Christmas jumper on

"What Kyoshi I was resting" the ferret laughed

"You know you said 'the minute we get on the ship we duel a couple of losers for fun'!"

"Wait that was you" the raven girl's head was on a slant

"Minor details, anyway I found the perfect couple of boys" without hesitation she grabbed Angel's hand and dragged her into the ship to retrieve her duel disk.

Angel and Kyoshi's cabin was one of the larger ones as they go first pick for earning their place in a tag tournament, the room came fully equip with a full bathroom, two queen sized beds and even a fridge and dining table, Angel pulled open a small silver case, inside was her customised duel disk, instead of the usual shape the summon placements were fitted onto a wing, the main section was a pentagram, she pulled out her deck and shuffled it, Kyoshi did the same to her cards.

"Lets go" Angel nodded and let Kyoshi lead the way, they reached the boys room, and Kyoshi tapped on the door and heard someone say

"one minute" the sound of zips and cotton being pulled over fur could be heard, the door opened as out stepped a pair of males, one was a lion, his fur was a dark shade of auburn, his eyes were deep brown, the other fur was a wolf, his fur was black with white on his chest and tail, his eyes were deep red

"you ready?" the lion said, the wolf was more interested in the raven stood at the railings, he could only see her black hair, but he could just make out her slim figure underneath it

"So who's your partner Leo?" said Kyoshi looking a the wolf

"This is Scar, where's yours? chickened out has she?" that made the raven stood at the railings stir, she turnt quickly to face the male, her eyes were angry and screaming with rage

"Angel Sirostratis, pleased to meet you, three time tag battle champion and ranked sixth in the world" she stepped backwards toward the stairs leading upward, she disappeared up them, Kyoshi and the males quickly following.

The roof offered enough room for the four to duel happily, Angel and Kyoshi on one side Scar and Leo on the other, Angel drew first, the duel was on

ANGEL/KYOSHI: 8000

SCAR/LEO: 8000

"My draw" Angel looked at her cards "I summon Herald of divine light, in attack mode" here creature appeared

"Then I set three face downs, end my turn" Leo drew out a card, he looked his hand over

"I summon giga tech wolf in defence mode, your turn" Kyoshi drew her cards

"I summon angel of pain Safira in attack mode and set these two face down, your move" Scar drew his card

"I summon battle ox in attack mode, now attack angel of pain Safira" his beast ran forward and cut into her creature, slicing it in half cleanly

Angel/Kyoshi: 7500

Scar/Leo: 6000

"Wait I forgot to tell you about her ability, when destroyed in battle she causes 2000 damage to her destroyer"

"Your turn" Angel drew her card

"I summon Gerut, sanctuary's protector in attack mode, also I activate my heralds ability, by paying 1000 life points I can special summon a lv 4 or lower monster from my hand and I choose Gina, celestial warrior trainee class" another creature shot up

Angel/Kyoshi: 6500

Scar/Leo: 6000

"I'm not done yet I synchro summon Oracle of the divine light in attack mode by fusing together my herald and Gina" her creatures vanished in a swirl of light and in their place stood an armour plated dragon "now Gerut attack battle ox, and Oracle attack giga tech wolf" the pair destroyed the other creatures "I end".

Leo drew his card

"I summon prototype machine king in defence mode, your move" Kyoshi drew out a card

"I summon Doomcaliber knight in attack mode, now I activate double summon, allowing me to summon again and I call out Avatar of recognition in attack mode now the pair of you attack Scar" the pair of creatures sprung forward and impaled Scar

Angel/kyoshi: 5800

Scar/Leo: 2400

"Now I end my turn" Scar drew out a card and placed it facedown onto the field, he ended his turn, no monster

"my draw" Angel smiled evilly at her card "I sacrifice my Gerut to summon Elemental Dragon-Hyperion in attack mode, also I now remove three cards from play to special summon Dawn Angel in attack mode, now Hyperion destroy his machine king" the creature exploded "also Dawn Angel attack him directly with seraphic assault" the angel crashed into the lion sending him on his rear, the holograms faded and the duel was over, the final score

Angel/Kyoshi: 5800

Seth/Leo: 0

"good game" Kyoshi said congratulating the pair on their attempt, Angel looked at the three of them, her eyes scrolled over Kyoshi and Leo but came to rest upon Scar, something about him made her seem almost.....sick but the kind of sick from butterflies in your stomach.

Angel lent onto the railing of the boat, again watching the tide's ebb and flow, the fury of the ocean had always amazed her but right now it seemed so tranquil, she saw another pair of paws grasp the railing, they were pitch black, on the index finger of the left paw was a ring, it was engraved with a simple curving pattern, Angel looked into his face

"good match Angel" she turnt away, thanking the gods that her hair hid her now blushing cheeks, she felt a strong arm on her shoulder, again the ring could be seen

"you all right Angel?, you look a little pale" she stood from the bar and started to sway pretty badly, her hand came up to her head, she groaned until she fell forwards, Scar braced himself to catch her but the weight never came, instead when he looked up he saw an eagle holding her gently, behind him were a fox and a snow leopard, he picked Angel up into his hold

"Come on sis, let's get you back to your cabin" he walked toward the stairs, Angel slowly moved in his arms, her lilac eyes opening slowly, at fist she saw shadows, then blurred colour and finally her brother's face came into view

"Seth?, wha..Where am I?"

"still outside you just collapsed, you've been pushing yourself too hard again" he placed her back on her feet, he took of his jacket and wrapped it around her slender frame, she practically drowned in it, she gave her brother a hug and walked away with him, Scar got three dirty looks one from all three of the butch furs.

The boat docked at Alrevis acadomy after the gruelling two day journey, Angel had spent most of it in bed or looking out over the sea, she occasionally took walks and helped some of the cubs with their decks, Seth was always two paces behind her, his goons two behind him, the acadomy was a luscious modern building, it had two spires peaking through the clouds, the front door was entirely automatic, they were even greeted with air conditioning when they entered, later at the enogeration presentation, they would be split into six groups based on the primary elements fire, earth, wind, water, dark and light. Kyoshi was the first to be called up; she stood in front of the head, the mallard looked at his pad

"EARTH" he called out and she went to stand with the other students in earth, next came Leo "EARTH" he joined Kyoshi, a long list of names followed until Scar did recognize one

"Angel" Scar saw her walk slowly and shakily toward the head, she nearly fell over at one point so Scar decided he'd help her to the stage, he put her arm around his shoulder and supported her, this earned a range of awws from the other students, he stopped in front of the head, Angel clinging to his torso for support

"LIGHT" he called out, she smiled a that she had wanted light "oh Scar while your here let's do you as well.......EARTH" he smiled as Scar helped Angel back to her side of the room, Scar set her down on a bench, she smiled up at him

"Thanks" she whispered to him, Scar walked over to his side of the room, the ceremony finished fairly quickly, Seth and his cronies were in FIRE, the head called for them to return to their dorms and collect their uniforms

"Good luck" Scar mouthed across the hall to her

"You two" she mouthed back.
