DragonZ Chapter 11
--Ceremony --
"I never thought I would see the day that the Lord would return to us. Thank you for bringing him to us." ~Dragon Elder (Male) ~

The sky had turned from a dark red to a cloudy blue, looked like was to rain. We journeyed to the Resistance H.Q. it was a great castle made of sand and stone. The castle stood towering from ground to the clouds, and it showed that the times and wars have made its markings everywhere. We entered the mouth of the colossal giant of a fortress, there were hundreds of dragons working and trading whatever goods they had to trade. They saw us enter and then looked at Kiddo and bowed their heads low and lifted to signify great respect.
"Well well well. Kiddo, your are famous." I joked
"I feel so out of place..." Kiddo was trembling with dis-like as the dragons paid their respects to him.
"Mmm ssso Kiddo. I didn't know you were royalty?" She sounded impressed but I could tell she knew from the start. I looked at her and she looked back at me, her eyes told me not just yet Adrian.
And so we followed Draco into what we thought to be what was left of the castle Keep and entered. Four walls and a staircase, on the left wall were a pile of ranged and close combat weapons, on the right there were some low-tech computers probably used for comm and other needs, all the way in front of us were giant maps of the planet, the castle, and other specific areas of interest and behind us there was inscribed Vasdu Elacka Rusju Te Ru Dag Dir Ru Xedians
"Fight with honor and the Will of the Gods...it's the only thing we have left of our Old World," Draco spoke in a remorseful tone "Now that you are here we need to make plans. Kiddo seeing how you are our new King you take full command of the Resistance. And we need to plan a full offensive against the mongrels."
"I don't know how to lead Draco...let alone fight well." Kiddo spoke.
"Ugh there's nothing to it at all. You catch on quick. Now if there are no more questions we need to plan our attack?" We stood silent waiting for him to start again. "Good over here," Draco motioned us to follow him to the maps, "This is us right here, we 4 places we need to take out. First to the southwest are a set of cannon batteries that are pummeling our heavy armored; we take that without destroying the batteries that can give us the big sword. Next to the northwest they got a P.O.W. camp where they torture and kill many dragons, there are about 200 to 300 dragons there Males, Females, and younglings; we free them we get a load more dragons to fight with. The 3rd is a small command base they set-up; we take this we got that much more Intel on why they are doing all this. Finally their main base of operations and their leader..."
"Uh. We got a lot of shit to do then. Say Draco is there a vast open area or a plateau near here?" Fox asked.
"Yes why?"
"We need to land."
"Oh yeah! Good thinking! The Soul Calibur needs to land." Sasha added.
"Ground team to Soul Calibur come in." I radioed
"This is Soul Calibur what's your status over"
"We have made contact with the Resistance and are ready for you to land over."
"Uh ok I will need coordinates over."
"Roger hold on," I released the call button, "Falco?"
"78.6, 92.4, and...96.1" Falco spoke while looking out at the plateau with a pair of binoculars.
"Did you get the Pep?"
"Uh roger. Hold tight, we are coming in over and out." A flash from the sky peered and soon coming in fast the Soul Calibur made its way down to a hover above where we told him and touched-down.
<4 hours later>
After unloading some supplies from the Soul Calibur we became well known and liked by the dragons in the fortress. Some would bow their heads, some would cheer, some would say thank you, and some would even go as far as to hugging us. These dragons were so out of hope before we came, just can't imagine them being in this kind of hurt and fear. These were dragons here, the most powerful and majestic beast known and they fear for their lives, by what though. What could possibly scare them this much?
"The night is you're my friends. We attack tomorrow at dawn but for now, we celebrate the return of our King Garrus." Draco spoke.
"How do you know that he is the King Garrus that you speak of?" Gun questioned.
"This mark on his left hand," he grasped Kiddos hand and shown it to us, "This is how I know for sure" he smiled.
"Ah. Interesting."
"Come Kiddo the Elders await your arrival, and Kelsey you may come too." Draco spoke excitedly and drug the two off.
"So. Is there anything to do here?" Wolf asked out loud.
"Yup." Sasha pointed to a tavern across the street and instantly Wolf trotted toward it eager to have his stomach full of liquor. "Come on Adrian! Let's go walking around." She said to me in a sexy tone that brought all kinds of dirty thoughts to my head and followed her, the rest of the gang split up.

Kiddo, Kelsey, and Draco entered a great hall full of marble statues, and old dragonic writings, the air was humid and each footstep echoed here. Finally the three came up to two bright gold dragons that towered over them, about 9 feet tall at least. They turned to face the three and Draco knelt before them. "Kiddo, Kelsey kneel." He whispered to them, and they did as so.
"Rise Kiddo Garrus and Draco Wingbound. I see you two have made it here with ease." The elder on the left spoke in a low but calming male voice.
"You may rise to Kelsey and turn to your original form. Your task is fulfilled for know." The elder on the right spoke in a somewhat high pitch and soothing female voice. Kelsey rose and turned to her dragon form; Kiddo saw this and was heart struck, love at first sight. He couldn't help but stare at her beautiful red and white scales and a long golden flowing mane.
"We are sorry my lord Garrus, we had to get you here someway so we sent our best and brightest to watch over you after you were rescued by the human." The male elder spoke
"That "human" has a name. And his name is Adrian." Kiddo took offense to what the elder said.
"Forgive me my lord."
"Yeah yeah, and Kelsey? You were a dragon this whole time?"
"I'm sorry Kiddo; it killed me to not confront you without blowing my cover completely." Sounding very sincere and remorseful.
With a sigh Kiddo spoke, "You two are forgiven I guess."
"My Elders, we have made preparation for both the ceremony and the plan of offense." Draco spoke
"This is good news Draco. You have done very well." The female was pleased.
"Thank you elder."
"Now we have one more task of you and Kelsey."
"Anything my elders command we will follow." Both Draco and Kelsey bowed their heads in honor.
"You two must guard our lord Kiddo and Adrian with your lives." The male spoke
"With all due respect elder, why Adrian?" Draco seemed confused.
"Because the Prophecy of Twilight is true." Kelsey answered for the elders.
"What?!"
"She is correct Draco. The time has come for there to be another to be endowed with the power of Twilight. The very essence of our being." The female spoke.
"Without it, our kind would not exist. After all we were birthed in the Twilight."
Draco thought to himself for a moment with a hand rubbing his chin. "Ok then...shall we start the Ceremony?"
"Yes" both the elders spoke.

Midnight struck and the Ceremony began, ribbon of bright metallic colors fluttering in the air, dragons of all ages cheering and merry making in the Town Center, fire of all colors spurting from their mouths.
"Oh wow! That's cool" I was amazed
"I didn't even know they could do that. Pretty nifty trick." Wolf was intrigued.
"Oh don't worry baby we can do lots more than just spit fire in different colors" a dragoness shouted through the crowd at Wolf.
"Is that an offer?" Wolf shouted back and listened with a grin.
The dragoness finally pushed through the crowd to Wolf and I. the dragoness was a deep hazel with a blonde mane. She spoke in a girlish tone, "Maybe. Hmm hmm. Come with me mister big bad wolf." She grabbed Wolfs hand and walked away. Wolf turned around and gave me a pelvis thrust in her direction.
"Don't you forget I got Sasha for that!" I joked. Dong, dong went the bells from what I thought to be a church. Everyone turned their attention to the church and watched as two golden dragons walk ever so slowly out and behind them was Draco and Kelsey, everyone knelt except Fox, Falco, Sasha, Gun, Peppy, Slippy, Wolf, and I. I motioned to them to follow the crowds movements and they did as so.
"Rise brothers and sisters," the male spoke out loud and everyone including us got up, "Before we start, would the rest of our guests please join us on the stage please?" we walked to the stage and joined Draco and Kelsey.
"And now please brothers and sisters. Bow you heads in prayer," every dragon bowed their heads and said "Shlack ta emondangala quetur sheogramudala espanoma dag dir ru xedians."
Gun leaned to Fox and Falco, "What the fuck did they just say?" the responses were shrugs and dumbfound looks on each other face
The male elder started to speak again, "Now. We have a great relief upon us. First we would like to welcome and thank these outsiders for aiding us in our time of need. Uh do you have a title for this group of companions?"
I step forward, "We do. This is my team of UGAC's best of the best. We call ourselves the DragonZ Squad." I step back.
"Well thank you DragonZ for your aid. We most certainly welcome it." The female elder spoke.
"And to now, may Kiddo Garrus step forward," the male elder spoke and Kiddo came out of the chapel in a new look and everyone gossiped in a whisper. He had 4 gold rings on the base of each wing and a pair of aviator goggles on. He knelt before the two elders "Do you, Kiddo Garrus, take on the responsibility that you mother and father have bestowed upon you?"
"I do." He said.
"Though this duty does not come without burden. The lives of all dragons now rest on your shoulders and every action you take will echo throughout the stars." The female spoke.
"I am aware of this elder. I will not fail my people."
The two elders looked at each other and nodded. The male spoke, "Then it is settled," the female came up to Kiddo with a giant golden collar of some sorts with gems engraved into it, "We bestow upon you the Clasp of the Gods, a symbol to all our brothers and sisters and made by the Gods themselves," The female place the collar around Kiddo and latched it together in the back. "Now go forth Lord Garrus, King of Dragons, the night is yours to celebrate."
The crowd went wild and praised Kiddo. We did the same, we gathered around him, hugging him and shaking his hands. I haven't seen him this happy since that one night in the basement. He nearly broke down into tears because he was being over whelmed by emotions of joy and the feeling of belonging, Kiddo finally had a place where he can truly call home.
"So! Big man Kiddo! AH HA! Congratulations man." I hugged him.
"I couldn't have done it without you Adrian and don't you say I could." He waved a finger at me.
"Ha ha ok I get it."
"Hello my friends." Draco spoke and was walking up to us with Kelsey by his side.
"Hey Draco...So you finally revealed yourself huh?" I said in a kind of low intimidating tone to Kelsey.
"Look it wasn't my idea to do that Adrian. And Kiddo, my lord, please forgive me once again."
"And what I said before still stands your are forgiven." Kelsey walked up to Kiddo and to Kiddo's, Draco's, and my surprise kissed him. Kiddo melted into her, this might have been his first kiss. "I...you...I..."
"Mmm don't ruin the moment just be a good little king and you may get another." She teased. Me and Draco looked at each other and laughed out loud at him. The moment was right for all of us, Kiddo achieving a great feat by just being the son of two apparently loved King and Queen just makes me wonder two things, what happened to his parents and what's next for the DragonZ Squad.
A screech teared through the sky and then screams of terror and pain flooded the town center, that only meant one thing...the Dino's have found this once safe haven. Looks like I jinxed it.
