#4 of Tales From Mianka

A bit of rest there, a bit of relaxation here... Richard and Sal are still more than enjoying their stays at The Lodge. But, something itches at the back of Richards' mind after a late night of partying. It isn't his usual scene, and it might have prompted these awkward thoughts, but he has a feeling Sal would be more than eager to help him out with them. To give in... or not to give in? Richard mulls the thought and comes to a conclusion in this fourth installment of Tales From Mianka.

"Well, it really is about time I go. I'm as cleaned as it's going to get." Val nudged Nick.

"Aww, so soon?" Richard pouted.

"Sorry guys, we do have work to do. But, this was a really nice break! Even if my throat and balls are a little sore." Nick shrugged.

"That's fine. Glad we could be of help to the help!" Sal smiled.

"I see... what you did there, dragon." Val rolled her eyes.

There was a convenient drying station mere feet away from the spa pool. The air was forceful enough to remind the two gentleman dragons of their food. Either way, the two assistants were dried off in no time, and left them alone. Alone with some nice company, and with a rumbling stomach.

"Was that you?" Sal arched an eyeridge.

"Yes." Richard began pulling himself out.

"And here I thought fox cream was enough to sate your stomach." The green nudged him.

"And I thought you didn't like females at all!" Richard poked right back.

"I do. I like both sexes, actually. It's just that you might have nudged me over a bit." He continued lounging in the pool, letting Richard unveil the food.

"Funny thing, that. Come eat." The crimson lifted the cover off the platter, and was enveloped in a cloud of steam.

His forest green scales seemed much brighter and more lustrous after the short rest in the spa. To Richard, it felt like they'd known each other forever, even if they'd just met this morning. It was fine enough, he supposed.

Two soaking dragons left pools of water on the floor as they dined. Sal chugged his coffee with relish, enjoying the strange drink. Richard had no idea how he could stomach it, and instead focused on his own steak. It was cooked exactly the way he ordered it. Rare enough that the inside was still a tender pink. Done enough, that the outside was a lovely golden brown. Sal had instead opted for his steak to be a bit more well-done. His burger, on the other hand...

"They did an amazing job on this food." Richard spoke, between mouthfuls of food.

"Of course. It's almost a shame we waited so long." He poked at his food, digits wrapped around a large knife and fork.

"It's so weird dragons use silverware." The crimson eyed his knife.

"And how else would we avoid getting a mess all over ourselves?" Sal munched a bit at his salad.

"Uhhh... Eat it all at once?"

"That's how you choke. Dragons aren't at all immune to that."

"And that's why we're using these, then, I suppose." Richard did his best approximation of a shrug.

They both ate noisily, enjoying their meals quite a bit. After their plates were empty, they were stuffed. Even if they did have dragon-sized stomachs. Interestingly, Nick's taste stood stuck on Richards' tongue. Not even the cola could wash it down.

"Hey, Sal?" Richard glanced quizzically at the green.

"What's up?"

"Do -uh-... people's tastes stay stuck on your tongue a while?" If he could blush, his normally red scales would be pink.

"Sometimes. Mouthwash works well, or a strong-tasting drink. Most alcoholic drinks work amazingly, too." Sal's large eyes betrayed his mirth, and a smile cemented it.

"Thanks. I think." Richard gulped down his soda.

"Speaking of, I'm not at all tired after all that."

"You aren't? I'm only a bit tired out, mostly my balls ache a bit." Richard shared.

"According to the clock, it's somehow evening. What do you think of heading back to our room, and then seeing if there are any other activities here?" Sal covered his plates back up. They were as empty as can be.

"We do need to check on our bags, at least. What did you have in mind for afterwards?" What else could this massive facility have in store for them?

"Personally, I was thinking of getting some harder drinks at a bar, if there is one, and then if there's a dance floor of some sort..." Sal belched. "Excuse me."

"Well, this is awkward." Richard stared at the floor, counting all the little textured ridges.

"Hmm?"

"I have no idea how to dance." He chewed on his lip, and tried to get his mind to focus on the taste of food.

"Well, there's always time to learn! In that case then, we really should hurry back to our room." Sal drained the last dregs of his coffee.

Richard's mind whirled. The thought of learning to dance never occurred to him. Dancing and bars just weren't his scene. But, it was an interesting enough thing to learn to do while he was here. And, if Sal was offering... then he'd just have to see where the evening took him.

"Sure. If I embarrass myself though, expect me to scamper back to the room." He agreed, with a small caveat.

"And that's why I'm going to teach you, BEFORE we head out." Sal emphasized the private instruction.

"Oh."

His food had settled in his stomach, providing a radiant sense of fullness already. It was a bit difficult to stand up, and get to his paws, but he managed well enough. They left the cart, and a sign on the door. Whichever staff member saw it first could take care of it. Was just a cart already loaded with dishes, after all. The public spa area somehow seemed even more steamy than before. And more crowded as well. It seemed that most people were down here during the late evening hours, rather than during the day. They ignored the various people hustling and bustling about in a hurry to relax. While it wasn't so crowded as to make navigation impossible, they did bump into a few people.

"Excuse us, coming through." Richard apologized for the both of them.

Few bothered to respond at all. Only some even grumbled at all, most too relaxed to care. They ascended the stairway, which was thankfully empty. After they were out of the humid air, it felt a bit more crisp now. Any hints of tiredness left Richard's mind, and his body as well. The caffeinated green tugged him along, somehow remembering the way back much better than the way here. They counted doors until they reached theirs. There was a problem, though.

They'd forgotten their keycards.

"Shitmcfuck." Sal swore.

"You forgot yours too?"

"I don't even remember getting one."

"We didn't. Betcha they're on our luggage."

In the short time it took them to worry and wring their paws, a certain fox had the solution.

"I hung around just in case you guys forgot..." Nick materialized from around a corner.

"Just in time! We forgot-"

"Your keycards. Yeah, I figured as much." Nick swiped his employee card, unlocking the door for them.

"Thank you, Nick. You've been amazingly helpful today." Sal thanked him.

"No prob! This time, though, don't forget your keycards. They're attached to the paper tags on your luggage, with a lanyard for wearing them around your necks. Hands-free, as it were. "

"Told you." Richard stuck his tongue out.

"With that, I'm off once more! Gonna go yap with Mr. Lansing a while. Have fun, lovebirds!" The fox teased the two, before disappearing as quickly as he came.

"I swear, it's like he has a sixth sense for trouble, and fixing it." Sal opined.

"Maybe he does! Anyways, let's go rummage through our things."

The room had already been cleaned from their... excess earlier. No evidence even remained of their romp. The only difference was a differently-colored set of covers, and a few lighter patches on the floor. Richard had to admit, if they were any speedier, they'd been cleaning while he and Sal were screwing!

Not that that would have been a bad thing. It'd have been interesting, to be sure.

Sal moved into the room first, energy feeling almost electric. Richard almost had to catch his luggage, as Sal plopped it onto the opposite side of the bed. His own luggage he set on the far side. Their keycards were exactly where Nick had said. There was an issue though. His lanyard was hot pink.

"Something wrong?" Sal was already wearing a purple lanyard with his keycard.

"It's pink." Richard stated, holding the fabric up.

"It's just a color, you know. But, if you're that concerned..." He was already tugging at his own lanyard before Richard could speak.

"I -er- It's fine, I think. Just a little surprised is all." Richard hurriedly pulled it over his head.

"Besides, after today's events, maybe it represents you a bit better than you think." Sal stuck his tongue out, emulating Richard earlier.

A response died in his throat. Maybe Sal was right. It was something he just hadn't considered. Of course, he'd always thought of himself as being straight as an arrow before this month. Maybe it was time to reevaluate some choices...

"... and left, and right, bend at the knees." Sal watched him fumble. "Keep going. You've just about got it."

Richard certainly didn't feel like he'd gotten it, but if Sal said so... One of his legs crumpled as fast as the thought had occurred. Before he knew it, he was on the floor in a scaled heap.

"Maybe I should keep to the four-step." At least the floor was soft.

"You were doing fine. I saw your front-right leg shake a bit when you came down. Didn't think you'd fall. A bit more practice would work wonders." Sal had already ordered a drink for them both a while ago. It had thankfully arrived before Richard started.

"Easy for you to say. I'll work on it though." Richard grumbled.

"Better than my first time. Ended up somehow falling over and twisting my wing joint." The green sipped at his iced tea.

"How did you even manage that?" Richard was pulling himself off the floor, pride a bit bruised.

"Still don't know to this day. It healed fine though." At this, he stretched out his right wing. Not even a twinge of pain crossed his features at full span.

"Must have been painful at the time." Richard lounged next to the bed.

"Very. Had a good physiotherapist and it healed within two weeks. At the time, I remember thinking the guy must have used magic, the pain was gone so quickly after following his instructions."

"Maybe he did? Some magic is subtle." His tail nudged his luggage towards the foot of the bed.

"It's in the past anyway." Sal lapped up the last of his tea. "Should I fill another glass while we wait, or are you good to go?"

"Only thing broken is my pride. Let's go."

They left their glasses empty, on the bedside stand. Before they'd even left the room, they made sure that their ID cards were still around their necks. Neither of them would be locked out this time. Well, hopefully anyway. It was a quick walk to the front desk, even with Richards' somewhat tired form. But, neither of them were expecting a certain bear to be manning the station.

"Heyo! Hope you two aren't leaving early?" Lansing was just putting another log on the fire.

"No, actually. We were just wondering if there was a bar, and if there is a dance floor of some sort?" Sal lead the way, questioning Braddock.

"Two of each. One of our bars is downstairs, just off the main pool area around a corner. Other one is upstairs..." He tapped his chin. "I want to say directly opposite of the stairwell."

"And the dance floors?"

"The upstairs bar and dance floor are in the same large room. I'd have to pull up the maps to find the other one. If you'll wait but a moment..." The bear was tapping on the kiosk when Sal interrupted his search.

"That won't be necessary. We'll just head to the upstairs one." Sal was already turning away, tugging Richard into tow.

"And you two are fine with your rooming, right?" Braddock hurried after them.

"Of course." They both answered.

"Just making sure. Nick already gave you the run-down, right?" The polar bear caught up with them, and motioned for them to stop and talk a moment.

"Yes. Said you might want to talk a bit, but past that..." Richard trailed off.

"I just would like to get that out of the way, yeah." It took a moment for him to catch his breath.

Sal tapped his forepaws' claws impatiently. The taps were muted by the soft, fluffy carpet, but were audible all the same. It took guts to annoy a dragon, and it seemed that Braddock had plenty. He'd brought a small tablet with him, as well.

"Just to clarify for my personal notes, you-" He pointed at Sal. "Are okay with staying with you." He moved the stylus back to Richard.

"Yes."

"And yes on the other end too."

He scribbled something down.

"It doesn't say anything about either of you choosing your compensation package yet. But, from what Nick said, it'd seem that you're both completely fine with rooming together for your stays. And, are fine with a free stay this time for the original duration, and a discounted visit the next time?" It was a mouthful of words.

"I'm fine with that agreement."

"As am I. Nick didn't mention the discount for next time though." Sal gestured with his forepaw, holding his paw out.

"Yeah. That's because I'm offering that. Just a bit of legalese to take care of now. I'll need you to sign here-" He held the tablet with both paws after Sal took the stylus. "And here."

Sal scribbled down his name. His penmanship looked oddly precise to Richard, but he shrugged it off.

"And I'll need you to do the same here and here." Same fields, different document.

Richard complied, writing forepaw twinging a bit from his earlier fall. It was a relief when Braddock held out his paw for the stylus back.

"Thank you. That's all you'll need to take care of for your stays, legal-wise." The bear looked visibly less anxious after getting their signatures.

"I'd hope so. Do understand the need to double and triple-check though." Again, Sal took the initiative in conversation.

"If anything changes, let me know. Or Nick, or Val, or any of our attendants." He jabbed the tablets power button, killing the screen.

"We will. Have a nice evening Braddock. You look like you could use it as much as everyone else here." Richard suggested.

"Running a business is stressful work sometimes. I'll let you two get on with it." The bear smiled, showing off a toothy grin. He also let himself relax against a wall, taking Richards' suggestion to heart.

They left the polar bear to his own devices. Sal looked a bit irritable, but Richard was sure that'd melt right off in a few moments. Neither of them talked, instead focusing on navigating the complex. Richard was a bit perplexed at the size of the place. What had seemed to be a simple holiday vacation spot had so much more to experience and offer. Even in a single day, it felt like a lot. That being said, it did wonders for Richards' outlook. A series of boring, thankless, and almost rewardless odd jobs had bestowed a wonderful gift of a break when he met that shopkeep.

"Hey. We're almost there. You look a little bit lost, everyone home in there?" Sal distracted him.

"Yeah, was just thinking."

"'Bout what?" The green looked curious.

"Just about freelancer stuff. Y'know, wondering what's next in store for me to do." The walk had been a bit much, and he slowed down while he was talking.

"Oh? Thought you had a nine-to-five or something." Sal easily kept pace with him.

"No, I freelance. This visit was actually paid-for by one of my clients as compensation." The loud beat of music faded into hearing.

"Really? Must have made quite the impression on him. Or her." Sals' energy seemed to spike when he began to hear the familiar, heavy beat.

"Was a he. It was an otter that owned a dinky little shop in Mianka. Sent me out to go get some herb or another. One thing lead to another and... things got complicated." A smile tugged at the edges of his muzzle.

"Everything go alright?"

They paused outside the large double doors.

"Of course it did. I'm here, aren't I?" Richard shrugged.

"Well, yeah." Sal reached for the door, but paused a moment. "Wait a minute. You also said you were new to the area, so that means-"

"Tentacles happened." Richard finished for him.

Sal had to suppress a fit of laughter. He failed miserably, and howled with loud laughing.

"I was really new to the area. Had barely set up utilities at my place before getting the job. Hadn't read up on local flora, and then that happened." He deadpanned.

"It's - heheh- fine. The place has some unique flora, to be sure. Can't say they're not fun to use every once in a while, though." The large latch was already turning before Richard could question further.

"Use? WHAT?" As Sal pulled the door open, the music became overwhelming.

His question fell on deaf ears as the green walked himself through the door. His tail left the door propped open for Richard to stumble inside. It wasn't any tunes the crimson knew, that much was certain. Just another new thing to immerse himself in, Richard supposed. Sal waved him in, urging him to hurry up. If the downstairs public spa had a lot of people in it, then this one was jam-packed.

Far to the side was the bar Braddock had mentioned. It was the only place with constant lighting, everywhere else illuminated by shifting patterns of light. Thankfully, the music was scarcely a few notches below deafening. It was still more than loud enough to drown out any speech, though. Sal moved like a natural, weaving his way through the crowd towards the bar. Richard did his best to follow, but it took at least twice as long. By the time he got there, Sal was already lounging next to the bar. A long straw trailed out of his muzzle, and into a glass with something fizzy and pink.

"Damn! How do you even go so fast in here?" He shouted over the music.

"Comes with practice! Get yourself a drink!"

The bartender came back around almost immediately after Richard had settled himself beside Sal. It was another dragon, but an anthro instead of a quadruped. Rather convenient for the job at hand.

"What would you like?" Somehow, he kept his voice just loud enough to hear over the music.

"Uhh..." Richard scratched his chin. "Whatever the green beside me ordered!"

The dragon smirked, but was already walking away before the crimson could comment. Sal kept an even, stoic face, downing his drink one sip at a time. Thankfully, it didn't take long for the dragon to return with his drink. He noted something down on a piece of paper, and slid it underneath the glass.

Richard took both, and read it silently.

"First is usually on the house, but big bear mentioned your partners' room being wrecked. So, everything is on the house for the both of you. Have fun with your fizzy drink!" And that was it.

The frail, fancy little glass with a tiny stem felt odd in his paws. The provided straw avoided his muzzle as he padded back a bit. Finally, he got it inside his muzzle, and sipped. He almost thought the glass was empty for a moment, but when the liquid touched his tongue... Richard nudged Sal.

"Yeah?"

"What is this drink?" It stuck on his tongue, thankfully washing away the earlier tastes.

"Pina Colada custom! Make as usual, but add a bit of pink food dye, and some soda. Not everyone cares for it. But... looks like you do?" His eyes questioned Richard as much as his voice did.

"Yes. It's quite good."

"Good to hear you found something you liked!" Sal beamed.

They both relaxed there a while, taking in the ambiance of a lively, active club. Richard, in particular, watched the patrons coming to and from the bar. It was interesting, in a way, to see what they ordered, and how they acted. There was a lot of churn at the barstools, with many people coming, ordering their drink, and then going. Each one disappearing right back into the crowd.

His legs began to grow restless. It wasn't until Sal stood up did he act on it.

"Gonna go scope out the dance floor. Maybe come and watch or dance with?"

"I can... try at least. We'll see." He drained what must have been the third of the colorful, tasty drinks.

The music wormed itself right into his brain. Sal nudged people out of the way as he walked, but with every step the rhythmic beat burrowed its' way deeper and deeper into Richards' mind. No one could hear his off-key humming, so he indulged himself. Somehow, they'd managed to avoid stepping on any paws, tails, or otherwise on their way.

Flashing, colorful tiles mixed with the rainbow of light from the strobe-lights. It made for a wonderfully hypnotic sense of overwhelm. Well, for Richard at least. Sal looked at ease as a fish in a pond. Maybe even a bit more so. Even with all the hustle and bustle of the other customers and temporary residents, the dance floor was somewhat empty. No more than three other people were on it. Plenty of room for a pair of somewhat impaired dragons to flail about.

Sal handled himself quite a bit better than Richard, but he liked to think that he at least made a good showing. Or, rather, that the short bit of instruction earlier had finally sunk in. No cheers or prying eyes were won from the crowd, but no one bothered them either. It also felt like that minor twist and sprained feeling melted away as he followed through the movements. If the dragon had to compare it to something... it was like an active stretch?

"Doing good!" Sal encouraged him.

Richards' mind threatened to wander, but he tamed it all the same. Looping through the same set of motions several times, and adding a few he thought would fit, too. But, it tired him out fairly quickly after all the exertion of the day. By the end of the third loop, the faint pain had returned a bit. A short moment of rearing up onto his hind legs, and coming back down made it noticeably prominent.

"_Ow, ow, ow."_He grit his teeth. Perhaps he'd over done it a bit.

"Saw that. You feeling alright?" Sal inched his way closer.

"Yes. No. Kinda." The look on his face said otherwise.

"Yeah, no. Let's have a bit of a break, get some more drinks, and then check the time?"

Richard didn't argue the idea, and limped along. His spectacle of pain brought a few curious glances, but not much else. Once he was lounging at his familiar spot beside Sal, it hurt a lot less.

"Maybe I overdid it... just a bit." Richard finally admitted.

"Oh, you definitely did. Typical for a first-timer, though. Did you have fun, at least?"

"I guess you could call it that. Didn't fall onto my leg or muzzle at least." He shrugged.

"For the best. Last thing either of us would want is to have to cart you allll the way back to Mianka for an X-ray, and probably a cast too."

"I would think that Braddock has some sort of in-house medical facilities. Probably."

The bartender already had their drinks waiting, and brought them to the pair of dragons. Sal winced a bit when he saw Richard try to grab the glass with his injured forepaw. Relief etched into his face when the dragon instead opted to grab with the other paw. They sipped their drinks a while longer. The green had burnt through the majority of his nervous, caffeinated energy, and had settled down to do a bit of people-watching. With a glance, he confirmed that Richard had already been doing the same for quite some time.

He nudged the drake, avoiding his foreleg entirely.

"Got eyes on any in particular?"

"Hmm." The crimson looked deep in thought for a moment. "Some of the smaller, non-dragon reptiles have some neat-looking scale patterns. Brain is trying to tell if they're dyed or not."

Sal immediately knew which ones he was talking about. Something about the neon greens, pinks, and dark purples felt off.

"Think the first three were real, I'd say. Last two are probably fake. Last one in particular might be half and half."

"Think so?"

"Yeah. Personally, though, I feel like the best one is already in my paws."

"Oh, and just who might that be? The bartender maybe?" Richard grinned.

"He'd be close. But, he's not a crimson. And he's not inches away..." Sal nuzzled at the other dragons' neck.

"Such a charmer."

They fiddled with their drinks, draining them as fast as the bartender would notice and resupply them. Even if they were hefty dragons, it began to get to them. But the taste was so familiar, and satisfying... It wasn't until Richard looked a little greener than normal did Sal notice anything amiss.

"It's getting a bit late. If we don't plan on stumbling back to our room, maybe some non-alcoholic drinks would be a better fit."

The crimson opened his muzzle to protest, but snapped it shut when his brain finally caught up.

"Ssommthng soda would be nicee."

Oh boy. Sal had a real pawful on his plate now. He ordered a soda for the both of them, and made sure his partner stayed put while he retrieved them. One at a time, as the bar was only getting more busy the later it got.

It took a while, but the replacement drinks did wonders to clear his head. Richard still felt a bit sick, and wobbly, but he managed. No doubt mostly because of Sal, keeping a careful eye on him during the entire trip. It felt like his thoughts were swimming through treacle, and were slow to form, and even slower to speak.

"What... time is it?" He carefully pronounced his words.

"Looks to be about one, or two AM. 'Bout time for the both of us to be heading back after such a long day."

They made for the doors, walking two side-by-side. Mostly because Sal wanted Richard to be careful and not stumble... but equally so because he didn't quite feel steady on his own footpaws, either. Still, the latch felt oddly cool to the touch, and the sudden relative silence of the outside world was deafening.

"Ooh..." Richard groaned, head aching a bit.

"Drink a little too much? Perhaps it was the loud music?" Sal empathized, watching him wobble a bit.

"Little of both, I think." His steps were somewhat uneven, as they were walking back.

"Well, it is late, so we should probably get to bed. Got a whole weekend, after all."

The floor seemed to move underneath Richard. After the first five, he'd forgotten how many he'd ordered. Whatever he'd drank, it threatened to come back up. They were a good two dozen yards away from the bar/club combo, but it still felt like the music was pounding inside his head. All the same, he was glad when they stumbled back to their room. He tapped his keycard against the scanner, unlocking the door for the both of them.

"Gonna take a shower before I head to bed. Anything... planned you want to do?" Sal inquired.

"Definitely not. Thanks for the offer, but I'm going to burrow under the covers."

"That's alright. I'll leave the bathroom door unlatched in case you need to throw up. You kinda look like you might."

Even the somewhat dimmed light seemed as blazingly bright as the sun to Richard. It'd been a while since he last drank anything alcoholic, and those drinks Sal had were far too tasty for how devastating they were. After he'd gotten under the covers, he heard the 'whoosh' of the shower cutting on. Somewhat brighter light spilled out of the slightly ajar door. He curled up a bit, and rolled away from the light. So long as he stayed still, everything was fine. A growing wave of tiredness, and satisfaction of a full day threatened to pull him into blissful sleep. The threats were unnecessary, and he gave up with only a token struggle.

Sal scrubbed at his scales, hearing the soft snores from the dragon in the other room. For as many drinks as he had put away, he wasn't surprised the crimson wanted to pass out. It may have been late already, but there was no way Sal was going to bed dirty. And rubbing up against all those people... He shuddered. While he was no germaphobe, the thought of all that sweat and dirt and musk staying on his scales bothered him greatly. Still, it had been a nice day, even considering how it'd all started out. It had been quite the rollercoaster of emotions, too.

"Aaah." He moaned softly, letting the steaming hot water rush over, under, and between his scales.

It only took a little while longer to finish up his business in the shower. The dragon-sized floor airdryer had a quiet setting, making not disturbing Richard much easier. Took a while longer, but it gave him time to think.

"So, if we hit up the spa, club, bar, and each other today... wonder what he'll want to do tomorrow." He thought.

"I did see how he tensed up when I mentioned using the tentacle plants. Maybe ask him about that later? Or not. Seemed to be mildly tense about it."

"Hmm."

The greens' scales were dry enough. But, something felt a little off. He wasn't quite as tired as before the shower. The TV remote was on his side of the bed, and it prompted an idea. A little bit of TV before bed shouldn't be too much of a distraction. He sauntered over to the TV, digging around behind it.

"Usually with these fancy suites there's a- Got it!" He fished out a rather basic set of wireless headphones.

They were a little awkward to set on his head, but he made them work. A moment of noise later, and he'd swapped the TV to headphone mode. The lights had dimmed to near nothingness now, only the flashing pictures of the TV left any light to illuminate the room. Sal curled up underneath the covers, opting to move his pillows to the foot of the mattress. Letting his head rest on the pillow, and enjoying some off-hours television was so relaxing...

Richard awoke with a start, throwing off his covers. They landed on Sal, who was... laying the wrong way?

"Oh."

A very familiar rump met his face when he looked to his side. Still, he barely remembered most of last night. Drinks, dancing... passing out on the bed. It all checked out with where he was now. And with the slight headache he was still experiencing.

He unwrapped himself from all the blankets he'd pulled onto himself. It was no wonder he'd woken up in a heavy sweat. Stuffing them between Sal and himself, he noticed an odd device on Sal's head. Did he not go to bed after last nights' shower? He blinked his eyes a few times. The picture clarified a bit, showing them to be headphones.

"_Apparently not."_Richard thought to himself.

Odd, mixed smells assaulted his nose. Did he forget to shower, or simply not bother? Ugh. The scents wafting off of his hide told him all he needed to know. A lingering fog laid heavily across his mind, and his vision. It was like he just couldn't wake up fully! As sleepy, tired, and outright groggy as he was, he settled on having one. Worst came to worst, he could just go back to bed. A LED-encrusted screen caught his eye as he stumbled out of the bed.

"Seven AM? It's no wonder I still feel like I've been hit by a truck." He mumbled. Even if they'd come back at midnight, and fallen asleep but an hour afterwards, that was hardly any rest.

Still, the cold water snapped him back to reality. It warmed up much, much faster than his apartments water, but was still arctic at first. As quickly as the ice-cold water had chilled him, the hotter water warmed him right back up. A curiosity poked at his mind while he relaxed.

"Maybe I overreacted a bit last night." He sighed, punctuating his silent thought with an audible end.

The soap and scale cleanser worked marvelously, revitalizing the look of his scales. Didn't help much for his mood, or errant thoughts... but at least he looked half-decent. The air-dryer was set to a lower setting, and he didn't bother to change it. Instead, more thinking.

"_Wonder how he feels about-"_He shook his head. There was no way he was going to ask Sal that. While the tentacles had been a one-time thing, going aware into having his ass poked at was something else.

"Well, you didn't ACTIVELY dislike it, so..." Richards' thoughts chased each other.

He was long since dry by the time he turned the machine off. But, something else had woken up, too. And it was begging his attention. The crimson dismissed it, and the thoughts that lead to it. He settled on asking Sal about it when he woke up. Still, he was fidgety. No amount of burrowing underneath the covers helped. The dragons' brain was stuck online, and it felt impossible to shut down again.

"Damnit."

It took a moment to formulate, but he took a cue from his room partner. The headphones fit, but only just barely. Luckily, yet another reboot of Robo-Wars was playing. And with Sal being a rather silent sleeper, the crimson lounged peacefully. Truthfully, it was only just barely enough to distract him, but it killed time adequately.

Before he knew it, several hours had passed. Sal had rolled over a few times as well. It wasn't until he had a pair of soft, squishy paws pushing into his flank did he realize he was waking up.

"Hrrr..." Sal half-yawned, half-growled.

"Sleep well?" He tilted the headphones, leaving an ear open.

"I could ask you the same thing. Was almost certain you'd dropped dead when I got done showering." A weak smile crossed Sals' muzzle.

"Felt it, too. Had some really odd dreams, and even stranger thoughts plague me this morning." He hung the headphones on a bedpost.

"Oh? Do tell, but first, my mouth is insanely dry..." It took a moment, but eventually he rang the buzzer.

A tinny voice echoed through.

"Be right with you! Five minutes or less!"

Neither of the dragons could place the voice through the tiny speaker. So, instead, they continued talking.

"Well, guess I'll be waiting a few for that. Anyways, what's bothering the still-handsome dragon?"

"Uhm..." The TV flickered off, no longer distracting him. "Well, I was wondering what you thought about..." He trailed off.

"Sorry, I don't have the brainpower this morning? Please elaborate a bit more." Sal stayed patient with him.

"I feel like I might have overreacted a bit last night, when you mentioned the tentacle plants. And, was wondering if you'd maybe kinda sorta... nudge me in the right direction?" If dragons could blush, his face, muzzle, and entire upper body would have been bright red. Again.

"You mean you want me to top? I can do that, obviously. If you want me to ease you into that sort of thing, I can totally help you with that." He nuzzled up against Richard, sharing comfort, and body heat.

"Really? I thought you'd be more resistant to the idea. Sort of like a-"

"Gay stereotype? Well, they're stereotypes for a reason, but a good deal of people don't fly that way."

"Yeah, something like that." He released the tension he didn't know he'd been holding, letting out a heavy breath. His red-scaled tail draped across Sals' back. "Thanks."

"It's fine. I AM going to be getting something out of it, after all. And, with luck and a bit of effort, you will too."

"Well, of course you're going to be getting something out of it. You're going to be getting something INTO it as well!"

"Heh. You have no idea." Sal would have been all over the other dragon, but he waited patiently for room service.

"Gotta say though, from what I remember, last night was pretty good."

"It was. You managed to not throw up all over the floor, and danced a bit, too." The green teased.

"Sounds like an achievement to me!"

The buzzer rang again, followed by a knock at the door.

"Room service! Here with a request for drinks!"

"Thank god. My mouth feels like a wad of cotton. And I'm not a snake." Sal mumbled.

"Come in!" Richard opened the door.

"Well, if it isn't the same gentledrakes from before!" Val stood in the doorway, absent the cart from last time.

"Really? It sounded nothing like you over the buzzer." Sal peered around Richards' bulk.

"We... sorta need to get a few dozen of those replaced. Let's just say some people are not gentle with them." She apologized, retrieving a small tablet from a holster. "And what can I get you two, drink-wise?"

"I'll stick with some basic tea with ice for this morning." Richard watched her peck away with one paw.

"I'd say coffee, but it's a bit early for that. So, instead, I'll also have some tea. Oh, and maybe bring a pair of pitchers so it'll last a while? Very thirsty this morning."

"Can do! After hearing that you two hit up the bar and dance floor last night, it's no surprise. Be back in five or less!"

And then she was gone, as quickly -perhaps even more so- than she came.

"Word really does get around here, huh?" Richard left the door ajar.

"Sure seems to. Not a bad thing, though. We've been getting familiar faces repeatedly, but I like that."

Richard sighed, and returned the headphones to their proper place behind the TV. While they were waiting, they took a few minutes to browse through the channels. No sooner than they had decided on something to watch, Val was back. This time, cart in tow. She knocked on the door, and walked right in. She shielded her eyes with her tail.

"Such indecency! Whatever will the staff think!"

Sal laughed, and a short chuckle came from Richard.

"Well, I think we already know what at least two of them think."

"And the opinion's not bad, either." Richard stuck his tongue out, only for the gesture to be returned.

"I swear, we're out of high school. Right, Richard?"

"No." He remarked, sarcastically.

"Makes no difference to me so long as you're of the legal age! Besides, if you're not, you're awful big for a teen-aged drake. Like, very much so." She poured the tea.

"Are you saying he's fat?" Sal poked.

"Maybe just a little bit of winter hibernation stores, that's all! Nothing a good bit of flying or running wouldn't fix."

It took a moment, but they both eventually got their drinks. They even had a pair of the fancy straws from before.

"Well, I have been meaning to get back into exercising. Suppose I could fly back this time." Richard looked pensive for a moment, seriously considering it.

"Just poking fun, dear. Anything else I can help you with? Perhaps another romp?" Val looked all-too-eager, with a leering look that made Richard a bit uncomfortable.

"No, but thank you anyways. Perhaps later on in the day, though. We kinda... have other things planned." Sal grinned, staring down the dragoness.

"Perfectly fine! I'll be around. Have a fine morning, you two." She left the cart, and pulled the door shut with a final bit of force.

They sipped at their refreshments for a while. With Sals' dry mouth fixed, he was a bit more talkative.

"She seriously wants into your metaphorical pants." He stated plainly.

"Don't know why. I guess it's part of her job?" A bit of ice cracked and floated to the top of his glass.

"I mean, don't get me wrong, it totally is. But, she's already had me, maybe she wants some variety?" Sal shrugged, earning a few popping joints.

"Maybe it's the balls..." Richard mumbled between sips.

"Well, I mean, they do provide a nice counterbalance to the rest of the contours and shapes."

Richard choked on his tea, sputtering.

"Didn't know I had an organic art critic with me."

"Not my fault."

"Totally your fault. Let's get started after making sure the door is shut?" The idea was simultaneously getting better and worse at the same time. Either way, he'd already signed up for this, though.

"I'll get it." Sal made it a point to throw the covers off of the bed, leaving only the pillows and sheets.

The firm, final, and dangerous-sounding click of the door being physically locked made Richard gulp. Second and third thoughts tried to convince him to either side. But, there was one thing that was for sure. Seeing Sal walking, and showing off his own rump was getting the crimson more than a little bit distracted. His own sheath thickened a bit, tip poking out.

"Anything I should do?"

"Not too much. Relax, get on the bed. Y'know, the usual." Sal drawled.

The rather large bed creaked. Richard, a large bundle of scales and nerves, waited patiently as Sal walked back. His tail swayed from side to side, taking his time. Here, in the proper light, it reminded the crimson why he found the other male attractive. A handsome, lustrous coat of forest green scales, well-filled hide, and a tiny smile on his muzzle made for an interesting look. Not to mention how his muscles moved the scales on his hide, drawing his attention lower.

"Not psychic, but I noticed you look like you're having second thoughts. Maybe we start with something a bit more familiar?" Sal offered.

"Up to you. I figure you'd know the plan a little better than I do. I -uh- feel like I should let you direct how things go." He looked away, trying to find something, anything to focus on.

"Alright then. So, if you turn this way-" He motioned with his forepaw. "and I stand here, would be a nice enough position."

Richard complied easily. Laying on his back was a bit awkward, and made his wing joints feel stiff. Wasn't entirely uncomfortable, save for his short horns jabbing at the side of the bed. Made Sal look like a giant from this perspective, too.

"So, I'm going to reintroduce my muzzle to you again. If you want to do anything down there, that's fine." The dragon teased him a bit, but let him proceed at his own pace.

After Nick yesterday, Richard wondered just a bit how Sal would taste. Or if he'd stick on his tongue like the fox did. Not that it would have been bad... When he sampled the dragons' seed after their first romp, it hadn't tasted bad. A bit strange, but definitely not bad. A warm heat washed across the side of his muzzle, and he peered to the side. The typical ridged, pointy, and thick dragon rod was there, but the lack of a knot piqued his curiosity. It was a bit of a difference, but not too much. Interestingly, when he flicked his tongue along the side, it felt almost exactly the same.

"Didn't think you'd be so eager." Sal noted.

Richards' cheeks burned a bit, sending a shiver down his spine. The other dragon wasn't one to leave him hanging, though. A paw settled down on the bed, and another gently pulled at his balls. Warm breath washed across his dragon tool, before it was completely enveloped in a warm maw. To say that the combined sensations distracted him was the understatement of the year. He screwed his eyes shut, focusing on not exploding into nonexistence.

Sal played with the warm piece of meat in his maw. Slowly letting it out of his muzzle, before sliding back down, letting it poke into his throat. The thoughts rolling around in his head bothered him a bit, but he dismissed them. It would just be a matter of having Richard relax. And this would be the perfect distraction to get him to do so. Afterwards, he'd go slowly and... well. They'd have a repeat of the other day, but with the slightly larger drake on the bottom this time. Sal was sure he'd enjoy it, and if he didn't? He'd just have to make it up to him. Not like that would be too hard, anyways.

"We'll just have to see... now won't we Sal?" His internal voice muttered inside his head.

The crimson must have been enjoying himself a bit too much to do much. But, when Sal slowed down a bit, he took the opportunity to reciprocate. That long, slick tongue flopped over his rod, before righting course, and licking along the bottom. Gentle, long licks, almost into his genital slit, ponderously pulling the tongue back all the way to the tip. And then doing it all again. For a complete newbie, Richard wasn't half bad.

"Hrr..." His throat rumbled.

If nothing else, it'd be a nice enough start to the day. The last vestiges of sleepiness had already been vaporized. He kneaded gently at Richard, paw moving from the hefty twin orbs, to a bit to the side. Scales only had a little bit of give to them, but the tight muscles underneath felt like steel cable. Digits pressed into them, and moved in lazy circles. Angling his head a bit, he continued trying to vacuum Richard straight into his muzzle. Not that it'd work. At least not on all of him, anyway.

The crimson felt more than a bit flushed. Having the green drake above him poking and prodding at his lower leg muscles felt weird. A bit relaxing, but still very strange. His tailtip flicked from side to side involuntarily. Was he really that tense? Sals' gentle poking seemed to confirm it, and the gentle jolts of pain, then relaxing only cemented the idea. Still, he did his best to please. The rod hanging down in front of his muzzle looked a bit too large to shove into his mouth, but he chanced it anyway. His jaw stretched, muscles protesting a bit, jaw popping even. Richard didn't usually think of his muzzle as being particularly cold, but the warm log of dragonmeat on his tongue said otherwise.

He breathed slowly, taking in the sensation of having something barely poke at his throat. Tongue still busy, he brought a forepaw up. Nudging Sals' tight stance apart was an accomplishment all itself, and gave him all the room he needed. An odd taste oozed onto the back of his throat. It was somewhat watery, but at the same time had a hint of a familiar taste. Not nearly enough to satisfy Richards' curiosity, though. So, he pulled Sal towards him a bit.

"Mmm?" Sal questioned the dragon beneath him.

The green wasn't sure that thrusting into his muzzle was the best idea, but he obliged. It may not have been a good idea, but with every inch that sank into the dragon, it was a pleasurable one. He kept his pace slow, and listened. It wasn't until Richards' muzzle was quite plugged did he start pushing back. It may have been a slow pace, but the dragon did what he could. A few gentle, grazing scrapes made Sal tense up a bit. Thankfully, they were the only ones. A bit of teeth action was good, but only when it was softened and defanged by a tongue blocking the sharp bits.

"Mmmm." Richard rumbled, letting Sal plug his muzzle.

Even a bit faster would have been fine with him, but he understood the greens' worries. It was definitely... unique to have a breeding rod not too dissimilar to his own on his tongue. Didn't taste anything like him, though. Saliva oozed out the corner of his muzzle, drizzling out every time Sal pushed back inwards. Only so much could fit into his muzzle, but the last few inches would have to be taken a bit deeper. He got greedy, pulling Sal and not stopping until his nose was buried in the dragons' groin. If he thought having a dragon in his mouth was strange, having him in his throat was more so.

Sal moved his roaming paw a bit lower, poking at Richards' tailbase. He wasn't quite ready to be poked, prodded, and eventually mounted, but Sal was working on that. At the beginning, he was insanely tense. Now, his hide and muscle felt a bit more pliable. Even when the green crawled his paw closer to that inviting, pink band of muscle. As much as he would have liked to, he didn't plunge his digits in at once. The rod in his muzzle pulsed a bit, spurting a particularly thick burst of pre onto the back of his throat. Smells wafted up from the heavy sack blocking a bit of his vision. Truth be told, Sal couldn't get enough. Not even when he'd taken Richards' hefty meat to the root, nose buried just underneath the twin orbs. He wasn't sure if it was his mind playing tricks on him, or actually happening, but he swore he could feel the seed rushing around underneath the hide.

He didn't care which it was, though. Thick, heavy spurts flowed up the thick rod, and almost directly into his stomach. Staying attached, he vacuumed every bit of it up. His muzzle didn't move an inch, as he nursed on the rod. Indistinct growls and moans echoed out from around his own cock, pulling him closer to his own climax. While it wasn't quite enough, it felt amazing to feel Richards' throat ripple around him. A few token spurts of pre left him, but he held back. There were other places to put that... if the crimson was ready.

Richard let the rod flop out of his muzzle, breathing heavily as Sal pulled back. Once the green was sure that every drop of seed had been sucked off his rod, he let it free of his green, seemingly greedy muzzle.

"I'd almost say you hadn't gotten off in a week, if I didn't know better." Sal pulled him around, helping him flip himself back around.

"You didn't-"

"I know." Sal interrupted him.

"Think I'm ready?" Richard cocked his head, now leaning back on the bed.

"Maybe. Only one way to find out though."

Sal walked his back half closer to the bed, rod still rock-hard. A bit of saliva and pre oozed down his stiffness. He moved his forepaws, setting them down on either side of Richard, just above his wing joints. The look on his face was an apprehensive one. But, there was still a gleam of lust, and anticipation there, too. He looked to satisfy that. Looking down, his partners' rod was a bit... soft, but he had no doubts that would change.

And soon, at that.

"Might need a bit more prep work, but, we'll try anyways. Let me know if it hurts a bit too much." Sal nuzzled at the crimsons' shoulder.

"Will do. Hurry up though. The anticipation is killing me."

Was that a bit of neediness Sal heard? The green smiled. It couldn't but anything but that. And thus, he'd just have to step up to the plate. He rolled his hips forward a bit more, and his back paws brushed the tail out of the way. Oh yes. He was going to savor this, even if he wasn't quite a true virgin back there. The dragons' set of fine scales felt a bit cold on him, as he brushed against that waiting entrance. A slight readjustment, and then he was prodding at it.

A pair of paws gripped his upper sides as he slowly sank in. Richards' lips peeled back, revealing his grit teeth. As Sal sank further into him, he was extremely thankful for the lube. Without that prep work, he had no doubt the crimson would have been yowling. Might still, even. The grip on him ebbed and flowed with every breath the dragon underneath him took. While it wasn't quite vice-tight inside him, it must have felt like it for the crimson. The green focused on how his partner felt around him. He rippled around the intruder, a tell-tale sign of experience, or extreme unfamiliarity with the act.

"Relax..." Sal whispered into his shoulder.

"Easy for you to say. Feels like I have a damned oar stuck up there." Richard hissed.

"Rest assured, it gets easier. That being said, I couldn't be more than two inches larger."

"That... doesn't help." Richard glared at him.

"Would it be better if I paused a moment?"

"Yes. Please do."

Sal let him relax for as long as he liked. While he couldn't have been more than a quarter inside him, he understood. The green may have preferred a hard and fast rut, but he didn't want to turn his partner off of the act. Not just yet, anyway. Still, even with that small portion of his rod inside that hot tightness, it felt amazing. It was like the only other time he'd even experimented had been with that native flora. Sal wasn't surprised. For all of his straight-as-an-arrow thoughts before, it would have kept him away from even considering this sort of thing. All the same, he was glad he could nudge the dragons' viewpoint a bit. Even if he didn't want to ever even consider it again.

"Hhhhh." Richard breathed heavily. His rod had sprung back to life, but it still felt like he was being split open. There was another feeling there, too...

"Hmm?" Sal questioned. It almost sounded like the dragon had said something.

"Just breathing. We can try for a bit more now, though." His paws pulled at Sal a bit.

It was music to Sals' ears. One of his knees popped a bit when he leaned forward. It was only a distraction, but another noise came to his ears just as quickly.

"Ohhh." Richard moaned wantonly.

A toothy smile spread across the greens' muzzle. That wasn't a moan of pain. That was a moan telling the drake he wanted more. More that Sal would eagerly give him. Gently, anyway. It may have been slow going, but he pushed on. It was more a battle of self-control for the drake, than a matter of tightness now. Richard was relaxing, and beginning to enjoy himself. The paws just hovered there, nudging the green inwards.

"Enjoying yourself now?" Sal teased, licking along Richards' neck.

"Still feel tight... But don't you dare stop." He grunted.

He kept his paws on Sals' sides, lest he get any ideas. But, a feeling of warmth, and of his rod being harder than steel kept him tolerating the mild discomfort. It wasn't quite pleasure, or at least not pleasure the way he'd associated with it. But, it felt GOOD. Not quite like the time he'd acquiesced to the tendrils, but similar. A gentle lovemaking, rather than him being milked for all he was worth. To be entirely sure, he could get used to this. The crimson even saw why Sal had liked it at all. His chest heaved, both from exertion, and heady lust. The mild pain had subsided, leaving him to enjoy the feeling of being stuffed.

Sal stopped for some reason. The one thing Richard told him to not do. He looked downwards. Wait. Oh. That would be why. His belly scales met the crimsons' own, and he was stuffed to the brim inside the dragon underneath him. It hadn't felt like that much after the initial stretching... But, he had to have more of that feeling. He let the green get comfortable inside him, before pushing him back a bit with his paws. If nothing else, that much had been accomplished. But, if he didn't orgasm from this, he'd be a very grumpy dragon.

"Dude." Sals' eyes were unfocused, and then he screwed them shut.

"I know, I know. Suppose now is when you do the whole 'pulling out' thing? And then the whole 'pushing back in' sequel?" Richard joked.

Sals' brain broke. Loud laughter racked his form. He laughed so hard at the awful joke, he almost cried.

"Going to make it a trilogy if you keep joking like that."

"You aren't pulling out at the end. If I'm going to get screwed, I want the whole experience." Richard stated. It was as much a demand, as an order.

One that Sal would gladly, happily, and satisfactorily fulfill to the best of his abilities. He pulled backwards quickly, before plowing back inwards. He watched carefully, to make sure Richard wasn't in pain, but otherwise... it was time to get this show started.

Richards' reaction was immediate, visceral, and satisfying. With his tongue flopped out of his muzzle, he panted between long, drawn out moans. The bed creaked, and shook as Sal gave the dragon his all. He hadn't quite expected the crimson to enjoy it this much, but it was a welcome surprise. Well, so long as he didn't forget that Sal liked to bottom, too. Sweat and male musk filled the room, and the wet slapping noises echoed off of the crimsons' ass. Each and every time he bottomed out, it shook his flesh. It was so vigorous, his rod was bouncing back and forth. The dragon caught it with a forepaw, if only to keep it steady.

Even if he had just blown a load, he was at full hardness, and his balls worked to churn up a new load. One that would be somewhat wasted, but that didn't matter. The only thing that mattered was keeping the green rutting him until he did eventually orgasm. That certainly wouldn't be a problem, seeing his enthusiasm already. As awkward as it was, he used his back legs to pull the drake in closer. Their bodies meshed together as Sal did most of the work. To be sure though, he didn't mind at all. Not when he was getting that wonderful, tight, rippling and hot entrance wrapping around him.

"Hrr..." Sal shivered. Why was the room suddenly so cold?

Maybe it was only relative, but it suddenly felt arctic. It didn't deter him, but it was distracting. Not distracting enough to stop his wild thrusting, though. He grunted, lungs heaving with exertion. Heated blasts of air fell out of his muzzle, washing across his partner. A sudden wave of sleepiness washed over him, but he struggled onward. His insides felt tight, and almost knotted. Instincts told him to grip something with his jaws, mark the dragon underneath as his, and only his.

Resistance cost him as he bit his cheek. The familiar coppery taste washed across his tongue. Failure to satisfy the urge would only make it take longer than it needed to. It was no replacement for a latched set of jaws around a mates' shoulder or neck, but it would do.

All the same, he felt Richards' knot form as his rod slid between them. A few weak spurts of pre smeared into his scales. It wasn't until the smell hit his nose did he finally release, and relax.

When the dragon collapsed onto him, Richard was almost worried. His well-stretched ass was being hammered still, and the first ropes of sticky dragon seed shot inside him. Worries faded from active concern as the highly erotic feeling dragged him over the edge. The faint smell of copper heightened the experience. His own sticky seed pulsed through him, each individual pulse getting closer, and closer... until it rocketed onto the both of them. The warm, almost hot fluid oozed across their scales, Sal not skipping a beat. He drove each and every spurt home, even if his legs had given out. He slouched across Richard, weakly roaring out the last vestiges of his orgasm.

A heavy wave of sleepiness, satisfaction, and comfort rolled across the both of them.

"Urrrrgh." Sal buried his muzzle in the sheets.

Richard patted his back, feeling his warmth still embedded inside him.

"Just making sure, but you are alright, right?"

"Suddenly headache. Legs feel like jello." The bed supported their weight, but creaked as he shifted a bit.

"Get up here and lay down a bit, then." He crooned, idly rubbing at his back.

"Bu-"

"No buts. Wings can handle it anyways. You need a break, for once."

"Okay." For once, Sal acquiesced and appreciated the concern.

Richards' wings, and wingjoints felt sensitive after the frenzied coupling, but he pushed it out of his mind. Right now, all he wanted was for Sal to stay inside him... and cool down a bit. Relaxation had definitely been achieved, though. For a first time properly on bottom, it hadn't been bad. Actually, it had been really good. Even despite his earlier concerns. The only qualm he had was the growing ache at the base of his tail. Perhaps going so quickly for his first hadn't been the best idea. But, it had been fun.

"Hmm..." Richard rumbled, satisfaction seeping into his bones.

"And you're sure you're straight?"

"Well, I was never straight. Just never fancied fellas the same way. Buuuut I guess you could say I'm somewhere in the middle now."

"Glad to convince you otherwise. Mind if we stay like this a while?" Sals' scrunched-up muzzle looked cute. Was there any way he could really say no to that?

"Of course we can. I mean, if I knotted, we'd be staying like this even longer. So it's no big."

Richard stayed stretched out and sprawled out on the bed that entire morning. Sal had reached for some pillows to make it a bit more comfortable for both of them. Without so much as a single cover, or blanket, they'd fallen asleep at some point. If things stayed like this, they'd find plenty of things to do during their stays... Mostly each other though.

Besides, two snoring dragons made for a cute picture.
