While Akira was resting, he thought of his friends.

'Where are you? Where can I find you? I hope you are well. Even if I don't know Shane long, it feels so strange when he isn't here. I miss him so much,' Akira thought as he slowly fell asleep.

Meanwhile, Shane slowly opened his eyes and felt someone hold him tightly in his arms.

"Are you Akira?" He asked.

"No, I'm sorry Shane, I'm Shakiria."

"Where are we, where is Akira?"

"We're safe, but we don't know where Akira is," Kai said.

Shane jumped up and ran toward the door, but before he reached the door, someone pulled him back.

"We'll stay here," someone shouted.

Shane turned slowly, looking at a black arm that held him tight.

"Dhomos, is that you?" Shane asked.

"Yes, it's me," he replied.

"What are you doing here?" Shane wanted to know.

"He saved us," Shakiria interfered.

"What did he save us from?" Shane asked.

"He saved us from Anonaran's soldiers, they are everywhere on the ship."

"They wanted to kill us all," Kai shouted.

"Not so loud," Dhomos complained.

"I heard a soldier talking with Anonaran, he wanted you to die," Dhomos said.

"Why?" Shane asked.

"I couldn't understand that," he replied.

"What are we doing now Dhomos?" Kai asked.

"Flee, get out of this ship," Dhomos said.

"Why can't we stay here?" Shane sighed.

"If Anonaran's soldiers are looking for you, they will find you here. Outside the ship you are safe."

"What's about Akira, we have to look for him," Shane whimpered.

"Shane, I'm not sure if he's still alive," Kai said.

"No, he lives. We have to look for him," shouted Shane.

Shakiria embraced Shane and pressed him tightly, then slowly and cautiously stroked his back.

"Don't say something like this, Kai, he lives and we will look for Akira, but first we have to think about us. Do you understand that, Shane?"

He hesitated, then nodded in tears.

"Rest well, you're still hurt. Nothing happened to Akira," consoled Shakiria.

"How long do we have to stay in this hole?" Kai whined.

"When it's dark, we have the best chance to leave the ship unseen," Dhomos said.

"You should rest Shane, you're still hurt," Shakiria said.

"I've slept for too long, I don't want to rest again," Shane replied.

"We have to hurry tonight, you must be fit," she said.

"But I won't be able to sleep, I am thinking of Akira all the time."

"You miss him very much?" Shakiria asked.

"Yes, he is my friend, after all."

Shakiria laid to Shane, she caressed Shane's back for minutes, until he finally fell asleep.

Later in the evening, the four were preparing to flee.

"Here you two, put on these things."

"Why?" Kai asked.

"With this orange suit you attract to much attention."

"Isn't that theft?" Shakiria asked.

"Why do you think you are here? This cabin has been empty for months," Dhomos said.

"Where are the Lupains who lived here?" Shakiria asked.

"Dead, the humans killed them in a bomb attack."

"How terrible, when did that happen, damn?" Shakiria cursed.

"Just before you disappeared. We should get going now."

"Where is Shane?" Kai asked.

"He's still sleeping deeply. I'll wake him up," Shakiria said.

Shakiria approached the bed and pulled the blanket from the bed.

"Oh no!"

"What is it?" Dhomos asked.

"He disappeared!"

"This is impossible, there is only one door in this cabin," shouted Dhomos.

Shakiria crawled along the bed and saw a ventilation shaft.

"He must have gone in there."

"In there? This is way too small, we never fit in there," Kai shouted.

"You two might not, but I will," Shakiria said.

"Why don't we just leave Shane behind," murmured Kai.

"Are you stupid Kai!" Shakiria shouted, growling at him.

"Without him I won't take you out of here," said Dhomos.

"Please what? What do you mean, Dhomos? "

"It was Shane who saved me after Akira had hurt me. Without him I would have died, I owe him something."

"We couldn't help you, we were imprisoned," Shakiria replied.

"It doesn't matter, I'll bring you all out of here, I can't do more for you. Bring Shane back and we'll go."

"Well, and who should look for him now?" Kai asked.

"I'll try," Shakiria said, squeezing through the ventilation shaft.

"I hope she finds him before Anonaran's soldiers find him."

"Shane! Shane! where are you? Do you hear me? "Shakiria shouted through the ventilation shaft.

She crawled on until she was in front of a junction.

'What do I do now? Where did he go? Left or right? 'Shakiria wondered and crawled to the left until his smell poured through her nose.

'No, he went right,' she thought, changing her direction.

She crawled farther and farther through the narrow and dirty ventilation shafts, until she finally recognized beams of light.

She followed the light until she came to a hatch.

Carefully, she opened the hatch and looked out.

Shakiria was in some sort of side street, where dozens of Lupains passed.

She crawled out unseen and was about to plunge into the crowd, when she saw him.

Shane hid behind a red garbage can and whimpered.

Shakiria approached him cautiously and grabbed him on the shoulder.

Shane was so frightened that he crashed to the front, throwing the garbage can.

The loud noise drew attention to them, some Lupains suddenly stopped.

Two Lupains came slowly towards to them.

Shortly before they reached Shane, Shakiria grabbed his hand and ran away with him.

"What's going on Shane, why did you run away?"

"I'm looking for Akira, maybe he's hurt or even dead, but I ..."

"But I?" She asked.

"After seeing all the Lupains here, I couldn't go any further. What if they know who I am? Besides, this ship is so huge I don't know where to look for him."

"Shane, I don't think that something happened to Akira. We'll see him again soon. Trust me," said Shakiria.

"Hmm, yeah, you're right."

"If we can get out of the ship, Akira might too," Shakiria said.

"I'm so afraid to be alone when I don't see Akira again," Shane replied.

"Shane, even if we don't find Akira, you have Kai and me. I promise you you will never be alone," Shakiria said and hugged him.

"How cute," said a voice from a dark side street.
