Chapter 7

Authors note: I figured I would tell you all that I will be switching from the first person view story writing to the normal third person, cause simply writing this way take a lot of time to get it right the first time.

How could any of them know it would happen, Richard's powers were a mystery to all but him and even he didn't know everything about them, but when he saw his beloved Rena tossed in to the air and as the blood gathered beneath her his mind snapped.

Whatever was holding him back was gone and the darkest power within him became apparent to all, the flames that surrounded his body became pitch black there wasn't a trace of white left.

The body changed as well, the feet became more wickedly clawed and so did the hands, out of the forehead came two demon like horns and a large tail grew. The most terrifying were the eyes and mouth, the eyes became blood red and they glowed with primal hatred and rage, and when he opened his mouth there was a void deeper then the flames that covered him so much so that there was a pulled of force towards the gaping fanged maw.

Taomon looked upon this figure in awe as well as terror, this was a creature of the terrible intent. She looked over to see the others were slowly getting up and moving, all but one. Rena was unmoving and a large amount of blood gathered around beneath her.

She raced over and saw that she had a large gash across her chest and her head was bleeding as well. Taomon quickly started to cast spells and used a large bush that she summoned forth to draw large signs but didn't think she was going to make it in time, her healing abilities were not enough for this.

Meanwhile Matt had notice the sudden change in Richard, in looks as well as in his power and when he cast his eyes upon him and opened his maw letting out a massive roar he knew that this creature would do everything to kill him.

The terror in his eyes were evident that he called out for Metalgarurumon to launch all the missiles it had towards the target but even though all the missiles hit and encased the now demonized Richard in digital ice his gaze never broke from Matt's.

His great wings flapped once and were launched towards Matt, the ice offered no resistance, like it wasn't even there and with a great slash of a clawed hand Metalgarurumon fell towards the ground, but it still wasn't over.

With a great roar Richard descended towards Metalgarurumon and threw him around by one of his hind legs like a toy knocking down the wall of a nearby building and destroying the pavement.

Matt could do nothing but watch even as the demon slowly stepped on the chest of his opponent and with his right grabbed one of Metalgarurumon's forearms and slowly tore it off.

The pain was maddening, the metal and bone squashed and ripped apart, Matt too felt the same pain and couldn't even stand because of it. It was then that the demon now actually looked directly at Matt and spoke in a terrible voice booming voice "I am going to rip him apart piece by piece for what he has done before slowly crushing his head, and only after he is gone am I going to do the same to you."

Matt was horrified and even more so when he looked directly in to the maw of the demon and felt it pulling him towards it.

There was a sudden rush of wind and Richard suddenly jumped away from Metalgarurumon as a great arrow of light hit where he was just standing.

Over towards were the light came from was an Angewomon and a MagnaAngemon and beside them were two young teenagers a boy and a girl.

"Brother are you ok?" yelled the young boy even as the Angewomon continued to fire the arrows of light powered by MagnaAngemon so she could keep up the power and rapid pace.

"Kari, T.K what are you doing here, it's too dangerous he will kill you" Matt yelled out but they didn't run away.

A long thick whip made of the same black flame replaced the demons right arm and as another arrow of light shot towards him he yelled out an attack "Void Whip" and with little effort the arrow disappeared like dust in the wind or rather the whip touched the arrow and absorbed whatever it came in contact with like a black hole, which caused the arrow to disappear.

"Brother what the hell are you doing!" T.K had yelled while the demon assaulted the two angels.

"He is a demon he must be destroyed and his offspring" Matt had replied but that only infuriated his brother enough to punch him hard across the face.

"What the hell are you thinking, he is a person and you try to kill him and his family what would you do if someone hurt me or mom and dad" T.K yelled again at his brother, and as he got up Matt said

"That is different,"

"How is it different, because he has powers, because he is different........or because his children are the first cross-breed between humans and digimon" T.K replied.

Matt was shocked that his little brother knew about that "We all know Matt, about him and Rena. Izzy saw them early on the night of the Nova festival but he couldn't tell you after your reaction to what happened" Kari said with worry.

"One of my band mates were brutally killed because of what happened, because of him!!!!" Matt yelled out.

"But it wasn't his fault or yours Matt" a voice said behind him and he turned around to see Sora the love of his life approaching him "I know it hurts to lose a friend......but that give you no right to hurt others in such a way" she said without even looking at him.

Sora was deeply disappointed in Matt and it was obvious, he had done something terrible and he only knew that because of the power the demon was now showing and realized that if this thing did kill his dead friend it would have killed much more as well.

There was now a Hououmon a great four golden winged mega level bird digimon fighting Richard. Its crimson flame attack was powerful and being a holy digimon type the attack did damage but not nearly enough to stop him.

The fighting went on and eventually they all landed on the ground, but the second Richard landed he sent a massive wave of black flame towards them with such speed that they could barely defend themselves.

The Hououmon reverted to its Biyomon form as it used most of its power to contain the flame and protect the others.

"Die, die, DIIIEEEEEE!!!" Richard started to roar but before he could launch another attack a Wargreymon suddenly dropped out of the sky and pinned Richard down.

Richard let out a massive roar and it became apparent that the Wargreymon wouldn't be able to hold him down for long.

"Tai I can't hold him for long he is too strong" the Wargreymon yelled to the boy that was sliding off his shoulder.

"I know we just need enough time to get the others out of here" Tai said back and ran over towards the other digi-destand.

No one else seemed to notice Lillymon, Ameila, Taomon and Sakuyamon who were gathered around Renamon.

"Can you two do anything?" Ameila asked and Sakuyamon quickly replied "I'm not sure, her head was cracked and there is a bad gash across her chest and we are trying to keep both her and the children alive."

While Taomon and Sakuyamon continued to use their powers to the fullest to heal Rena the digi-destand were getting ready to make their escape.

That was until Richard saw them running away and the Angel digimon carried the injured Metalgarurumon, his power raged out of control and the black flames burst out forcing the Wargreymon to let go and launch it into a building.

With each step Richard the black flames burst out from under his feet leaving patches of black flames behind.

"I will kill you, your blood will cover the ground, I will DESTROY ALL IN MY WAY" Richard roared and for the rest of the digi-destand that first saw in to the gaping maw of this demon they froze with fear not knowing how such a thing could exist and even though they knew they had to run none of them could move their legs.

The great demon crept closer and closer and with a few more steps would have been able to swat them all with one hand if not for Taomon and the other suddenly appearing before him.

"She is not dead she is still alive" Taomon said holding Renamon in her arms.

At first it seemed Richard couldn't comprehend what she was saying but soon the eyes had stopped glowing red and the body began to revert back to what it was.

What had happened was that when Rena was knocked in to the wall and cracked her head she lost all forms of consciousness thus severing the connection between her and Richard.

By the time Richard looked human again he went over to Rena and laid a hand on her cheek and quietly said her name.

The digi-destand were shocked, not knowing what just happened they didn't know what to do.

Richard walked over and with his digivice activated the portal but it was quickly shut down, but he just tried again and put his power in to it and over did any lock down they had on it.

"It will bring us to the very edge of Shadow Vale" he told the others and motioned them in.

After the others left he turned to the digi-destand and said "Now you've seen the power I have tried to keep in check, but remember this well, that was what happened when I lost control of only one side of my power and even then you couldn't even stop it" and with those last words he went in to the digital gate.

The digi-destand stood there shocked at seeing a power they had no control over "I have never sensed such a malevolent power from such a person before, the power seems almost the opposite of what he is" Angewomon said and Mangangemon nodded in agreement.

"I think we were all lucky but Matt even more so" Tai said as he supported Matt.

Could any of them realize just how close they came to a death more horrid then what most could imagine.

As I stepped through the digital gate my mind reeled back a bit at just how close I came to loosing complete control, the powers I had were more powerful then I even thought they could be, the power of the void itself was incredibly dangerous and if I lost control again I wasn't sure if I could regain it.

All that was further from my mind as what I was worried about most was Rena right now. Her injuries were still severe and even though I could use my powers to help her I couldn't risk it as I just barely gain control and was still struggling to keep it that way.

I saw Lillymon and Ameila waiting for me while I didn't see the other I knew that they would have gone ahead as quickly as they could manage "It's time to go" I said and flaming wings burst from my back.

As I took flight, Lillymon picked up Ameila and carried her along and we flew off in the direction of the Renamon home.

We met up with Taomon, Sakuyamon and Rena on the out skirts of their realm.

I took Rena and told Taomon to hurry with all speed to Rena's parents and tell them we need powerful healers as soon as we get there and she did so with no hesitation and with incredible speed.

It took longer than we wanted to but we got there pretty quickly and found several Sakuyamon in both battle and priestess mode, along with many Taomon and with both Rena's parents looking worried and along her brother who was also looking quite frantic.

I landed quickly and laid her down on a stretcher where they took her inside to begin healing her.

The only ones left in the courtyard were me, Taomon, Lillymon and Amelia along with Rena's parents and brother. It didn't take long however for Rena's mother to look at me and with anger say "I knew you couldn't protect my daughter you are a weak and insignificant human I will never let you be near her again."

I was already short tempered and what she did nearly put me over the edge and black flames once again erupted from me, I barely maintained control while my form changed to that of the demon with the only difference being that the flames had a under lying of light and I could see a little more clearly with my eyes.

I opened my mouth revealing the dark void there and said to her "Now would be a very bad time to test my patience, I can barely maintain control as it is and you should know better by now then to test my patience."

I could see the terror in her eyes, even after I snuffed out the flames.

I went inside with the others in tow, I told Taomon to lead the way and she went forth towards the back end of the complex and down some halls where we encountered a large door way.

I opened the door to see the other Taomon and Sakuyamon channeling spells in to Rena who was in the center of their circle floating in midair.

"Taomon take Ameila and Lillymon to a room if you would I will stay here until they are done" I said and even though Lillymon and Amiela wanted to stay Taomon had already escorted them out and shut the door.

I took a position near the door and sat down near it and watched the healers work.

I knew something like this might have happened but still seeing the person I care about most, injured severely and me unable to do anything hurt me.

The hours must have went by cause by the time the healers finished the moon was high in the sky and I haven't even noticed.

"How is she?" I asked them and it was an aged Taomon shorter than the others and hunched over with a cane who said "She is stable and the children are safe" she said while placing an arm on my shoulder and continued "We will bring her to her room you had best get some sleep as well."

They brought Rena up two floors and in to a room with an large bed with many pillows, a large balcony, and several other exquisite items fitting of royalty.

I knew she was of high stature but I never gave it all that much thought on it, but seeing her room made me think just how important she was.

It wasn't long until Taomon came by with Lillymon and Ameila in tow "How is she?" Ameila asked as both Lillymon and Taomon went over to Rena over concern for her "The elder healer told me both she and the children are ok and right now I think she needs rest."

I went over to Rena and sat down bedside her and stroked the top of her hair gently. The door suddenly burst open and in came Rena's parents along with her brother and a smaller, female Renamon that was wrapped in an unusual kimono and looked physically weak in comparison to others of her race.

Upon seeing Rena on the bed the little Renamon, who mustn't have been older then a 16 year old teenager, eyes went wide and ran to the bed saying out loud "SISTER!!"

"She is resting please be quite" I told her as I got out of the way. The little Renamon nearly burst in to tears as she saw her sister there just breathing shallowly.

"The healers told us how she is doing" Rena's brother said "I couldn't protect her I'm sorry" I said, it was the only thing I could say. I knew I failed in protecting her even if others said different, I just wasn't strong enough despite the power I had I couldn't control it well enough to save anyone.

I let Rena's family gather around her while I went out to the balcony to let the wind blow in my face.

It wasn't long afterwards that Rena's brother and father both joined me in leaning against the railing, the brother to the left and the father to the right.

"What happened?" Rena's father asked me, I just leaned there looking out to the moon that I could see in the sky and began to narrate what had happened "Ever since the coliseum people have been hunting, us wanting us dead because of the upheaval we created and someone had videotaped the fight we had in the halls," I quickly looked over to Rena's brother as we both shared a slight smirk and I continued "The situation in my world continued to escalate up to point where both digimon and people were being killed and you know already."

They both nodded in confirmation and then I continued "It was fine for awhile until the United Nation's approved as an official force sanctioned by them and so the person who was helping me was kept locked up for suspicious reasons and was only able to warn me after they broke in to his encrypted data about me. The problem was that he was too late, a teen by the name of Matt Ishida should up in town and was hunting me because he lost a band mate and blamed me for it."

I took a deep breath and continued "I went straight to the house and gathered everyone, the personal teleporter was shut down so we went quickly to the digi-gate that was nearby but that was shut down and many digimon and tamers were there including several ultimate's and two mega levels. It wasn't that bad we protected Rena and I dealt with the mega levels but Sakuyamon's shield took its toll and was barely holding, it was at this point that Matt showed up with his mega level digimon partner an Metalgarurumon, due to the effects of the previous fighting I couldn't make it to the missile they directed to Rena in time and she was injured it was at that point I lost my mental link with her and snapped I don't remember much of what happened after that but I do remember enough."

"It sounds like you did protect her even after she got injured you wanted revenge" Rena's brother said but I had to correct him on one thing "I became a sadistic monster, if Rena wasn't alive chances are I would have killed everyone there even the ones I considered my family."

"So what are you going to do now?" the father asked, what answer could I give him I only wanted to protect Rena that is all I ever wanted to do so I simply told him "I will protect her it is all I ever wanted to do" and I walked back inside to be by her side.

Rena's sister was cuddled up beside Rena and seemed to be sleeping soundly, 'She seems to be a bit sickly' I thought to myself and threw a cover over her.

I brought a chair over closer to the bed and sat down in it and closed my eyes, I was exhausted and could barely keep my eyes open any longer so it didn't take long for me to fall completely asleep.

I woke up to a warm and fuzzy feeling over my body and for a moment I thought I was sleeping next to Rena, but that dream ended when I leaned over and fell out of the chair crashing on to the floor.

I saw that someone put a blanket over me while I was asleep. I got up and looked around the room, Rena and her sister were still sleeping and Rena's breathing was normal so that was a good sign.

The lives that were in her were still there and that was another good sign that they all would be alright, but after all that happened I knew better then to think it was over. Someone or something would come for them and I would be ready this time.

The morning light was just above the horizon so it wasn't too late in the morning.

I opened the door to see 2 Taomon and 3 Renamon were guarding the door. What I didn't expect was that when I opened it and walked out they bowed low and one of the Renamon who was in armour said "Lord, is there something you need."

I expected more hostility then this so I was a little surprised but living with Sakuyamon and Taomon made me used to it.

"Where is the kitchen?" I asked and she answered (at least I thought it was a she) "If there is something you need we would be honored to get it."

Now I had developed my skills for some time now and one thing I can tell easily is when someone is out right lying to me. I couldn't help but laugh a little which caused some of them to look up at me, I looked at the Renamon that I was talking to and said "You shouldn't really lie to me, I can sense when someone is lying."

It didn't take long for the Renamon to notice that I was telling the truth and she brought her head down unable to look directly at me anymore.

"It is alright, I know to you I am just a human that most likely has no business here but I do and so I am, but for now just tell me which way is the kitchen" I said. She stood up and the others followed her example. "It's right down the stairs on the bottom level, take a left down the hall and there it is" she told me.

I started to walk down in the direction indicated but I stopped for a moment, turned around and said "I would like someone in the room with her at all times if I am not there" I said and one of the Renamon swiftly did so before closing the door.

I followed the directions I was given passing a few residents of the palace along the way and each bowed low as I went by.

When I got to the ground level and was making my way to the kitchen hall I encountered Ameila who was wearing a kimono and Lillymon who was right beside her in her normal leafy uniform.

"How is Rena doing?" Lillymon asked with a worried face "She is doing fine, her breathing is normal and there is no sign of danger to her or our children" I told her. "Whew, that is a relief, I wanted to stay there with you but you fell asleep and they forced everyone else out" she said.

I just nodded and went towards the kitchen. As I opened the door I could hear all sorts of sounds being made from utensils' and other such things clanging around and a wave of smells hit me which reminded me of the mornings in which Rena would wake me up with her cooking.

I couldn't help but shed a tear and quickly wiped it away and went in to the door.

Many Renamon, and Taomon were moving about making breakfast ready for all those who lived in the palace. I looked around to find someone in charge and while I didn't find anyone directly, in passing by an young Renamon noticed me standing there and quickly shouted "Cook Master there is someone at the door for you!!" and just as quickly proceeded off with only a passing glance like she wanted to ask more but knew better then to keep her job waiting right now.

A aged Taomon a male with larger muscles then most and didn't wear the normal clothing of the Taomon, he wore a bandana around his head and while the robe was the same as a Taomon it was wrapped around his waist and seemed to have less lose cloth in it, most likely all that was because he was a cook and took pride in his job.

He looked at me for a moment like he was assessing me, it wasn't something new to me but I didn't have to like the fact that I was being judge, I just wasn't in the mood for it.

"Look I don't care what you think of me or what I do, right now all I want is something for three to take back up to my partner's room" I plainly told him. He looked at me the same way not moving an inch not breaking his gaze and neither was I.

He suddenly cracked a smile and broke out in a great bellowing laughter. I didn't get what he was laughing about but it was apparently loud enough for all those in the kitchen to stop what they were doing and look in our direction.

"You eyes are strong and you don't back down, I like you" he said and gave me a big slap on the shoulder, he quickly turned around and said in a big bellowing voice "I want food for five ready in a hurry and the rest of you get back to work," and with those last words the place was moving even faster than it was before, it seems that when this guy said run you best do it.

I wasn't a long wait until five large plates of a verity of food was ready, the dishes seemed similar to what you would find in Japanese food, which included rice rolls as well as a verity of fruits.

He turned around to me and said "These will be sent up quickly once I finish putting in a few things to help her highness recover,"

"That is fine but there is one question that is bugging me, why did you order five dishes?"

"Look behind you" he said and when I turned around I just remembered who was behind me before. Lillymon and Ameila were standing there with goofing looking faces.

"I guess I should pay more attention to people who make faces behind my back."

"Yes you should" Ameila said while grabbing one cheek and pulling it for fun.

"Are you having fun?" I asked her and both she and Lillymon gave me a kiss on the cheeks at the same time and she said "Of course."

We headed back to Rena's room but was stopped at the stairs when the Taomon we all knew well appeared behind us, she bowed low and quickly said "There royal majesties need you immediately there is a situation," I didn't know what it was but I knew Taomon wouldn't have said such if I wasn't really needed.

"Very well, Ameila, you and Lillymon head to Rena's room, if you have trouble with the guards just tell them I wanted you there for her safety, ok Taomon lets go" I said and held onto her shoulder while she used her ability to move almost instantly to the door guarded by two Renamon.

The door opened to reveal both Renamon's parents in a heated argument with another family, that must have been the ones I had to scare before, and it turned out to be true "How dare you send one of your flunkies to try and scare in to your submission" the Elder male said "You were threading us and plotted to harm our daughter, you brought it on yourselves" Rena's mother argued.

This went on for a few more moments I just waited but soon had heard enough and said out loud "I was told you wanted something from me." Most eyes were quickly on me and the visiting family looked at me like I was some bug out of place "What is a human doing here" the elder father said "We invited him here" Rena's father said.

"Humph, I see what kind of company you have been keeping, is it any wonder your position is getting weaker" the elder mother said, but both Rena's mother and father just smiled.

They noticed what I did right away and soon the visiting family looked in my direction and were shocked to say the least, it looked like they just seen the ghost, because behind me were two giant wings made of black and white flame.

The father looked at me like he had a revelation and said "What a nice trick, where did you learn it human," the arrogance of him was astounding so for good measure I started to slowly walk towards him and with each step my body changed until I was looking down on him. My body was the same as before a mix of human, demon and dragon, I looked down at him and said.

"I thought you would have learned your lesson the last time we met."

He backed down almost instantly no doubt from feeling the power I let out around me. "From now on I don't want to hear anything from you and this is the final warning" I said in a bellowing voice.

Neither he nor the visiting family dare say a word all they did was walk out in a hurry with me laughing as they left. "That made me feel better" I said after I got back to normal.

"You made quick work of that situation" Rena's father said.

"I didn't want to waste time, and if you will excuse me I need to get back to breakfast" I said while giving a quick bow and walked out.

Taomon fallowed me as we headed to Rena's room, "How have you been holding up?" I asked her. She didn't say anything and I could tell she was a bit reluctant but I told her it was best not to keep things bottled up to much and she finally started to talk.

"I was worried what was to become of me, I failed in my duty in protecting my lady."

"It will be fine it was not your fault even with my power I could only do so much" I told her as we continued to walk.

"There is something else you're not telling me" I said and which I knew was true, she went back again to her silent walking but I looked directly at her and she said it rather quickly.

"Why is it that you have engaged the others but not me." I was a bit shocked at such a thing, I figured she was some one that wouldn't sweat such things but apparently I was way off.

"It is not something I don't feel guilty about and every other time I had that sudden surge of sexual energy, I wanted them all to be with the one they love like I did with Rena not from some sense of duty or because they might feel like they owe me" I told her.

"But they didn't feel that way, I...we all did it because we care for you and Lady Rena" Taomon said with embarrassment, she like all the other really did care about me but still taking such a thing from them when I only wish to be with Rena was hard for me, even under any circumstances, they knew Rena and I loved one another and we would always be together, but having such people care for us enough to sacrifice their virginity for the sake of others with no second though was hard to swallow.

"I understand that but I would still prefer for you to be with someone you truly love like with me and Rena" I told her, and before we reached the second floor I gave her a kiss on the cheek and said "But if you are still dead set to your course I will do what you ask, but to be honest I can't see what man wouldn't want to lay with such a beauty."

Her cheeks went so red that you could see it through the fur a hard thing to do but worth bragging about even if you didn't get in to details.

We finally got to Rena's room and found that the food had already been brought up. Rena's sister was just stirring awake (no doubt from the smell of the food), and Ameila and Lillymon were already eating. I went over to join them and offered Taomon a bit which she rejected until her stomach started to growl, the amount of food the cook master sent to us was a little more then was necessary but he most likely guessed we would have more company or he just liked to be prepared.

"Come and join us, you look like you are hungry" I motioned over to Rena's sister who had just woken up. She just looked at us or more likely at me and seemed like she was wondering what to make of me, she walked over with her kimono bound tightly around her and looked straight in to my eyes.

I wasn't sure what she was searching for but soon her eyes went a bit wider like she saw something she didn't expect and said with her head turned away "I think I understand why she choose you" and sat down to eat.

During the time we ate we were mostly quiet with the exceptions for a few stories and jokes told, Rena's sister also asked several questions about me, my powers and about the time I spent with Rena and other such things.

It was two days later on a similar day that I felt a massive aura of dark energy and it was coming towards us. Everyone else felt it too and soon the whole palace was in an uproar, guards ran back and forth and it was Taomon along with Rena's brother that showed up in Rena's room to talk to me "What is going on?" I asked with haste and they answered just as quickly.

"Three of the demon lords are heading towards us the scouts have said it is Lillithmon, Beelzemon and Daemon" Rena's brother said with great worry.

He had a right to be worried, the demon lords were a very powerful group of virus digimon most being sealed away in far off places or rather kept there by other powerful forces like the four great dragons, the Olympus twelve, the magna angels, the royal knights and other such groups. The main problem is that 3 out of the seven were heading towards us which should never have happened, most groups would jump at them in a moment to stop them from gathering, so why weren't they, the demon lords nearly destroyed the digital world in ancient times so why were they heading here but I had a feeling that they were coming for me.

"I will be heading out to face them before they get to far into Shadow Vale, get Rena somewhere safe deep underground if possible I don't want her harmed" I said and Taomon went directly for Rena and carried her out the door to get her somewhere safe, "And what will you do right now?" I asked Rena's brother.

He stood up straight and said with confidence "I will head with you and protect my home land."

"Very well, try to keep up" I told him and ran towards the balcony. I dropped like a rock for a second then rocketed up in to the air and towards the demon lords.

I got to the edge of the Renamon lands where it was mostly farming land and waited for the demon lords. I choose a different form than normal, the wings were still there but my hands and feet were larger and wicked clawed, I grew a tail with a bladed end and the rest of the body was more dragon like including my face.

Renamon, Kyubimon, Taomon and Sakuyamon were gathering around behind me preparing for battle, I doubt any but the Sakuyamon would be of any help but that wouldn't have stopped them and they were going to defend it at all costs.

I still didn't know the true extent of my powers and I knew I couldn't control or have access to it all yet which was why when the three demon lords showed up a chill went through my spine.

They flew up quick but suddenly stopped at a fair distance away but still close enough that you could talk without shouting.

Lilithmon was in the middle, a veloupious beauty with slightly vampire like traits and a right arm that she hid self-consciously due to it being a twisted thing that could turn to dust anything it touched within seconds.

Daemon looked a bit like a demon and something you might find hiding under your bed, his face rarely moved from his normal creepy smile and his forearms and hands were larger in proportion.

Beelzemon was rumored to be the strongest out of all the demon lords even rivaling lucemon in power if not stronger than him. He was dressed like a biker and he wore a purple head mask that had a third eye in the middle, he also had two shot guns as his primary weapons.

For what must have been the longest time we just stared at each other neither side moving, I was getting tired of wondering what they wanted so I asked in a great booming voice. "What is it that has taken you here!?"

It was Lilithmon who answered in a sultry and seductive voice. "We have come for you" and suddenly they went down to one knee and said in unison.

"My Lord."

This was a shock to everyone even me, there couldn't have been any reason they were doing this and despite that fact they were all three bowing down to me.

"What is the meaning of this!?" I asked them, none of them lifted their heads and once again it was Lilithmon who spoke up.

"We have come here to swear fealty to you our master."

I didn't sense any lies from her, but they were demon lords and I didn't doubt there ability to lie which lead me to my next question. "You three are demon lords, what makes you think I should believe you, out of you three I only know one of you" I told them while I casted my gaze at Beelzemon. His third eye never closed or blinked making it very valuable and it too was looking at me.

I remember our first encounter at the stadium nearly a year ago, I didn't think much of it at the time when he went to his mega level but it dawned on me now, who I talked to back then.

From what little I knew of the demon lords some of them are not held under lock and key like others, while none of them are exactly evil they are for the most part slaves to the sins they embody.

Beelzemon himself was an incarnation of gluttony but not in the normal sense, he was a gluttony for battle, fights, and strong opponents. He also had a stronger resistant to his own urges by devolving into earlier forms such as Impmon, while the others could very well do this they didn't for whatever reason or preferred not to let others know.

It was for primarily this reason that he was allowed to roam free with very little restraints from other forces.

I knew there was only one way to get them to talk and I also knew that no one was going to like it, so I gave out a big sigh and said "Very well rise and tell me what this is all about."

"YOU CAN"T BE SERIOUS!!!!" Rena's brother yelled, it was insane to be true but there was no other way other than to fight and there would be much death.

The three demon lords rose and started to approach but I flapped my wings out showing off their power and splendor which cause the demon lords to stop "You will first explain what this is all about" I told them in a booming voice.

"Very well but what we have to say are counted as some of the closest guarded secrets of our kind and will only speak to you" Daemon said in a voice that sounded more like a charming gentleman's rather than a demons. I went over towards Rena's brother and Taomon and told them that I would be going with them just outside the city to talk but not to let their guard down for even a moment until I got back.

"You had best keep scouts around the city I think something else might be going on as well."

They argued that it must have been a trap and other such things and I didn't doubt it but I needed to find out what they were doing and what they knew.

We headed for the out skirts of the city and choose a clearing that was between the darker forests of Shadow Vale, when we landed I released my flames leaving only my normal body in the wake.

"So it is true you are a human" Daemon said while smiling like he thought I might be weaker or not what he first thought I was. But what he didn't notice was the white flame snake sneaking around him until it went over his shoulder and said in my booming voice.

"I would be careful of any idea's of treachery my powers and my control over them has increased immensely."

Daemon eye went wide when the snake spoke, he didn't notice it there at all and all three of them had similar snakes wrapped around them. With a wave of my hand the snakes flickered out, I wanted them to know I was not fooling around and if need be I would unleash all the powers I had against them if need be.

"So now tell me what this is about" I said, and it was again Lilithmon that answered.

"Of course, because of the power you have you are one of us, you are a Demon lord." It was a shock to be sure but I was still skeptical about that.

"How is it that I am one of you?" I asked.

"To tell you that I would have to tell you the origin of our kind and of the earliest days of the digital world" Lilithmon told me, I just smiled and said.

"Well I'm not going anywhere."

"Very well" she said and took a deep breath and continued "In the earliest days of the digital world there were many mighty digimon but few had power beyond that, for they were the first digimon, it is not known how they gotten their roles which defined them but what is known is that they all had a choice in them. One of the most powerful of even them was Ogudomon a massive digimon who gracefully took upon the role of regulator for all the sins of the digital world, he wore the crown of the seven deadly sins upon his head and had seven legs each with a sword imbedded in each knee and each sword was engraved with a different sin."

She stopped for a moment to let me take it all in, I've never heard of the digimon but considering what they were telling me wasn't all that surprising. Lilithmon stopped and it was Daemon who continued in the gentleman voice that didn't match his body. "Each sword was made to help Ogudomon keep the worlds sins in check and gave him the power to atone for all the sins, he was not evil nor was he slave to the nature of the sins for he voluntarily took the role and in turn was saved from being consumed by it, but something happened"

When Daemon stopped it was Beelzemon who continued. "Long after the beginning of the digital world but still in ancient times some digimon tore several of the swords from him. This caused the power and sins to go wild and his power raged out of control, his kin stopped his power from destroying all around him, but they could not contain it all and it split in to eight pieces each form represented a different sin and held great power the eighth however was a nearly uncontrolled concentration of power and malice. This being was feared by Ogudomon's kin and was sealed away."

They had come full circle and Lilithmon finished the story. "However one of the seven split pieces started a war by releasing the eighth, however the eighth didn't fight but disappeared leaving those that rebelled to fall and face judgment. Those who knew, knew they couldn't destroy them so choice to seal some and banish others to different parts of the digital world, it wasn't long after this that another war start call the god war were exalted digimon fought against each other. This was because of the vanished piece taking control of the digimon sovereigns and in the end a digimon blessed with the power to fight it sacrificed himself by taking it within him and left our world."

All the pieces were falling together the origins of my power were now shown or at least most of them. "What took the swords from Ogudomon and where are the swords now?" I asked them but Lilithmon just shook her head and said.

"We don't know, we think the swords were taken or something else happened to them and the identity of the one responsible is such a close secret that even we don't know....but we do know the location of at least one sword."

"Don't tell me!" I sighed and knew what they were going to tell me and with a deep breath I said "It's located within Shadow Vale isn't it?"

"Yes" Lilithmon said with a short bow.

I was going to fall over from the headache I was getting from all of this, nothing is ever easy I seem to see and doubt it ever will be until people wanted to leave me alone.

But right now the main issue was what I was going to do with them, for all I know they could just be lying so what was I to do, if I heard something from one of the other pantheons about this I could tell if there was any truth it would be ok but I didn't know for sure.

It was lucky for me that both Rena's parents suddenly showed up with a group of heavily armoured and only what I could assume well trained guards.

"I have some questions I need to ask you can I expect you to answer honestly and quickly" I told them. The questions I asked where simple did they have one of the swords, did they know of its significance, and where the demon lords to be trusted.

I told them that they bowed to me and they were pretty shocked to hear that and told me that it is unheard of. The demon lords are extremely prideful and would never bow to anyone or anything.

We were still discussing what to do when the clouds themselves suddenly darkened and a storm went over the land so quickly you could hardly believe it was true. As soon as it was starting to go dark I could sense the immense power forming it but it happened so fast it was hard to react in time.

There was massive lighting strikes in the city and most seemed to be centered around one area, "No" I said in a almost quiet voice and in a blink I yelled out "Every one move quickly" and I turned quickly to the three demon lords who seemed perplexed yet familiar with what was happening.

I yelled at them "You three follow me NOW!!!" and in a move too quick to recognize I was up in the air in full form going at full speed.

I could feel the demon lords were following me, and surprisingly keeping up with me but that wasn't what I had my attention on, it was the lighting that was being stopped just above the palace by a shield that seemed to be set up by many Sakuyamon.

I could see that the palace had been struck already before they could get the shield in place, and the strain it was taking on the Sakuyamon was clear, but they wouldn't have to wait for long.

I clenched my right fist, pulled my arm back and trusted it forward while extending my fingers and yelled "Dragon's Flame" and the massive head of a dragon was formed of white fire and it mouth opened to shoot out a huge get of pure white flame towards the clouds and the same spot the lighting was coming from.

It shot through the clouds clearing many clouds around it and revealed a snaking like figure that resembled an Asian dragon.

It wasn't long before anyone would recognize it, he was one of the four guardians of the digital world and one of the four exalted dragon lords Azulongmon.

Whatever reason he was attacking the palace he soon stopped when he looked in my direction. Either from seeing me or three of the demon lords, it didn't matter for he soon left in a mist of cloud.

I let out some of my flames to dissipate the clouds and when they were all gone so was he.

I landed in the court yard the demon lord followed suit, despite the recent attack the guards were on them in a moment and more coming every moment.

That was until Rena's parents dismissed the guards and even though they did so with great reluctance they did as they were told with only a few remaining behind to safe guard their highnesses.

"So show me where this sword is" I said to Rena's parents. They talked it over and in the end agreed to what I asked, I turned around to the demon lords and with one hand in flames I said to them without the slightest change in my voice "You will follow me and if one of you gets out of line you all will die."

We went through the palace until we came to a highly guarded and heavily made door. Inside were massive amounts of treasure and not just things like gold and jewels, there were sets of armour, many weapons, and what looked like very old books.

In the back of the large room was another door but something was odd about this one, it was heavily chained and no key hole that could be seen. And oriented with strange rune.

I could feel the power coming from it, the door itself was filled with power that no one could break without alerting those protecting it and even a mega level would be hard pressed to get past it.

"The walls and door surrounding the object are made of chromatic chrome digizoid metal" Rena's father said.

Chrome digizoid was the hardest metal possible, normally only made or gained from a digimon evolving any other kind could only be made from massive resources and power and the colored digizoid was from the only most powerful digimon, which would be why all the demon lords were shocked at what they heard.

"That is impossible, there cannot be that much in existence" Daemon said.

"Never the less it is true, we don't know who or what made it but through the generations only the heads of the house hold have been told the secret of what laid behind these doors and how to open it" Rena's mother said.

They both laid a hand on the door and started to chant strange words and with each word that they said the runes on the doors glowed and when the last rune lit up they stopped their chanting and the doors opened.

I could feel the rush of power from the inside and a strange feeling of anger and hatred. "Everyone stay back this one is related to wrath and anger" I told them even as I looked to Daemon I could tell he was being deeply affected by the power flowing out from the room that he was struggling to keep what his primal nature was commanding him to do.

I walked in and saw right away the weapon I was seeking. It wasn't hard to find as it was the only thing there as well as being in the middle of the room and on a pedestal.

For a moment I thought I seen a sword but it quickly twisted and changed in to a spear with a large curved blade at the end.

I picked it up and the power subsided in an instant but I could still feel the strength and the rage coming from it.

There was something else there that I didn't notice before, on the back wall was a set of pitch black armour darker than even the shadows in the room.

I wasn't sure what it was doing there but I could feel a draw towards it and as I got a closer look I saw that it was in the shape of a Renamon.

I put in on and it formed to my body, while the shaped changed to a more human like armour it still looked much like a Renamon with clawed gauntlets and the tail hole in the bottom armour filled and reshaped.

I walked out the room and there was shocked looks from all who seen me, I must have been quite a sight, a figure in pitch black armour with a bladed spear slightly longer then me that was adorned with runes like the door but with only one distinctive symbol on it.

That symbol was of the sin of wrath and it glowed blood red in both the blade and hilt of the spear.

"You are truly meant for great things, the black Renamon armour wouldn't have shown itself unless your worthy and had need of it" Rena's father said.

"Daemon step forward, the rest of you back away" I told them, and while they were confused on why I asked such a thing they did as I asked.

I pointed the spear towards Daemon and said "I hope this works" and focused power into the spear and got a feel for it.

I linked the spear to me and Daemon, I could feel the wrath and with each moment it intensified and grew but I had to maintain control.

I used the spear and sucked out the rage from Daemon in to the spear, I took out as much as I could until finally I severed the connection.

Daemon doubled over and started to yell, his body glowed and was changing, when the light finally faded it revealed a blood red Seraphimon and in the middle of his armour chest was not the normal symbol but rather the symbol of the sin of wrath.

The spear and armour that I wore disappeared as I fell over exhausted, but didn't fall over I looked up to see that Lilithmon had caught me and slowly lifted me up. Beelzemon was helping Seraphimon and after Rena's parent sealed up the door and helped me on our way.

To say that everyone wasn't shocked would be lying, Lillymon, Amiela, Taomon and Sakuyamon were all waiting near the door to the treasury and were just dumbfounded after I told them what I did.

They took me up stairs to Rena's room and put me beside her on the bed and while I told them the demon lords and the newly transformed Seraphimon could stay close by I couldn't stay awake long enough to tell if they let them or not.

I woke to the feeling of fur against my face and when my eyes finally opened I could see Rena looking back at me. I couldn't help but cry and say that I was worried and sorry, and while she did console me I couldn't help but weep at the fact that she was ok.

She asked what happened and I told her everything that happened up to the point of Daemon's transformation, "But how did you know it would work?" she asked.

"I didn't, but I could feel a connection between us when I touched the weapon and just tried to take out the rage that was there and he just transformed" I told her.

We continued to talk for awhile, but it was not long until after I got up and was helping Rena getting up as well that a guard knocked on the door telling me that Rena's parent wanted to talk to me.

I shared a long and deep involving kiss with Rena and said "I have missed you so much," I kissed her one more time before I opened the door. Waiting outside the door was the demon lords and the RedSeraphimon, along with Taomon who kept a close watch on all of them.

There was something different about RedSeraphimon he was like any other Seraphimon but while the anger was still there it was more like a righteous anger rather then malevolent, "You are no longer Daemon but something more have you thought of what you would like to be called now" I asked him. He had no face but I could tell he was pondering it for awhile and said "BloodSeraphimon, for I will spill blood that which caused all of this and those who shall stand in my way or harm you" and gave a low gentleman bow.

"Let's go" I told them and with Rena beside me and the others in tow we walked to the main throne room where Rena's parents were waiting.

"We have a situation" Rena's father said, he was somber which told me that something bad was happening or was about to happen. "There is a large army of digimon heading towards Shadow Vale" he told us.

There was a shock to everyone and me, I was used to bad news but this was very bad. "Has there been any word on why or who they are?" I asked. Rena's father sighed heavily and said.

"Not yet, but we have sent a messenger to find out".

We all waited in silence for some time until a Renamon dressed a bit like a ninja suddenly showed up and said "My lords, the army is sent by Azulongmon and is being led by Kingchessmon and others Cheesmon types, they refuse to back down and will not stop."

"Did they say why they are so intent on their path?" Rena's father asked, the messenger just shook his head and said "No, but they did let something slip about an abomination and an evil weapon."

I knew what they meant and so did many others, "So what do you plan?" I asked.

He just looked at me, smiled and said out loud "Send word to all to prepare for war."
