#14. Final Preparations
Finding it rather odd that her files would still be locked even after all I've done. Until it dawned on me, Nadai's files might have become corrupted over the centuries. That seemed like the strongest possibility or they needed a special access code. Either way this was something that was going to have to wait until after my judgment. Hopefully Coltron and Thoron aren't to busy when I get in touch with them.
"Nadai don't stress about it for now give everyone a full briefing on these weapons." I said. With an affirmative beep she pulled up detailed recordings regarding each one. While Launa looked them over I had Nadai open the chambers allowing us access. Feeling drawn to the Scythe I removed it and held it firmly in my hands. "To activate the blades merely squeeze and they'll come online." Nadai informed.
Moving out into the hall this way I wouldn't hurt anyone as I gave it a squeeze. Sure enough like she said both blades came online in quite the vibrant fashion. For a brief moment they were white in color then changed to a nice violet color. When I loosened my grip enough the blades turned off then the weapon vanished. My eyes noticed a glow on my wrist if I had to guess the scythe fused with me.
"Nova, would you mind joining the rest of us unless you've gone blind." Launa teased. Chuckling as I gave my left wrist a shake and walked back into the weapon's room. "Alright, let's discuss which one of us gets to pick their new equipment shall we." She added. Sayber opted out of picking one saying she prefer using her own natural abilities. Respecting her choice as the tiopard walked out into the hallway leaving us alone.
"Azzy, please take the Neo-Steel Cane its best suited for a mage like yourself. It also doubles as a bow staff in the event your magic ends up being nullified. At least you won't be totally defenseless during a fight or do you need more time?" I informed. The raven saw the logic in my suggestion then she reached into the cane's chamber. Just like what happened with me the instant she touched it fused with the raven.
"Alright, Nova mind sharing with me just how I go about summoning my staff?" She asked. Fortunately I had an answer for her so I showed Azzy exactly how it was done. Mirroring my motions and in a flash the Neo-steel Cane appeared in her right hand. "Azzy the gem will remain inactive until you establish a blood pact. Otherwise miss it's simply an over glorified cane with nothing else going for it." Nadai informed.
Extending her right thumb then used it to pierce the skin on her left hand. As the blood welled up enough she moved the crystal under the gem then squeezed. Five drops of blood splashed onto it and she recited a heart felt promise then waited. The milky pink crystal began glowing signaling that the cane now belonged to Azzy. "Nadai I'd like to know exactly how big of a magical boost her spells will receive?" I asked.
She took a few brief seconds to analyze Azzy's power and size of the gemstone. "Giving Azzy's impressive magic aura I can safely say she'll see a massive boost. Though if you'd prefer an accurate number than her output will be a thousand times. Reason why I say that with such confident is due to the sheer size of the crystal. Unrefined Adamantite can be either super heated into metal or super chilled into a gem." She replied.
She went onto say that in it's gem form it's can boost a mage's power immensely. It can take the tiniest of spells and make them capable of doing a lot of damage. This proved to be a sobering thought to not only Azzy but, Launa and myself also. I made a wise choice by giving Azzy the cane due to her level headed demeanor. "Azzy I'd suggest plenty of private practice until you've mastered it." Launa stated.
