Nature's Gift

A forest seeks to reward a man for his companionship.

I wrote this on the plane ride home while my font color was white so no one could see what I was doing. I don't recommend writing while jetlagged.

The jungle stirred. It took all of three seconds for it to come to sudden life as the sun spilled over the horizon - startled birds leaping up into the air as rays of light cast into their eyes, the rustle of leaves and the creaking of wood as the trees abruptly moved, pulling their roots out of the ground and twisting their branches in a soft stretch.

Max sat at the very base of it all, smiling at the sight. It was one that he never grew tired of, not since he'd landed on this strange planet a decade or so ago. It had taken some time to adapt to this planet's peculiarities, certainly, but he'd survived - and the planet almost seemed to reward his survival.

Each new day he discovered something new, something that kept him entertained and engrossed in the world around him. New fruits would grow on the same old trees, sporting different flavors with every bite. Flowers would glow with different colors, sometimes arranged so neatly and precisely that they formed images when viewed from above. Terra was alive in a way no other planet he'd ever visited had been, and it served to fascinate him with every new day.

He couldn't help but wonder what he'd see today. Max stood up slowly, his bare feet careful not to step on anything that was alive and his fingers gently caressing the trunk of a tree. It made a soft, groaning sort of sound as it leaned into his touch, prompting the man to smile.

"You know," he commented. "I don't think I could've chosen a better planet to crash on. It's... a little lonely, I suppose, but sometimes I wonder if I really am alone."

Tapered digits scratched lightly against bark as he spoke, and the tree seemed to shudder, its leaves rustling in the wind. Max smiled in response. He'd learned, over time, what even the trees and plants enjoyed - and they were often like cats, leaning into his touch, purring and showing him affection in their own, unique ways.

Max had meant his words as little more than an idle thought - but the forest heard his words, and it grew sad. An uncountable number of suns ago, this creature had crashed into the land, bringing with him a trail of fire and destruction. The forest had been angry, at first, had assumed an attack. It had done everything it could do drive this man away so he could never hurt it again.

But time and again, Max had survived - and he showed nothing but grace in his victories. Never any unnecessary death or destruction, just the bare minimum necessary for his survival. In time, the forest had grown to believe that the deaths his landing had caused were not his fault, and they had developed a strange sort of friendship.

That, perhaps, was why the forest heard him - and why it granted the request he had never made. A single seed fell from a tree, and from that seed grew a multitude of vines. The first set were rigid, only flexible for the briefest of moments before they hardened into solid wood. Along that wood grew vines that wrapped around that skeletal base, twisting and tightening to form a rudimentary muscular system.

Wood sprouted along those vines, giving the newly-formed creature some protection from the elements. It grew large and thick enough above the torso to form a head, though roughly shaped and more square than round. The bark split to form a mouth of sorts, and a long, wet vine hung out in a vague imitation of a tongue.

Last, but not least - the eyes came in the form of cracking wood as golden light spilled forth, splitting two jagged holes into the makeshift skull. The rest of its body seemed to come to life as the golem blinked, its body defying everything known to man as the wood seemed to animate itself, twisting and moving.

Taking a tentative, careful step - and slowly gaining confidence with each one - the creature began to step through the forest, in search of the man he'd been created to be a companion for.

Whatever surprise Max had expected for the day, it had not been... this. He stared awkwardly at the creature in front of him, aware on some level that it was his words earlier that triggered this event. He couldn't help but wonder, suddenly, just how intelligent the forest was. He'd assumed it was akin to a particularly smart animal, but...

Well, the creation of what was essentially a golem of wood seemed to imply a far greater understanding of biological science than he'd initially assumed. The alternative possibility, of course, was magic - but Max refused to believe in any such thing. Though the trees were analogues to those back on Earth, he'd long concluded that what seemed like wood wasn't really wood, and that the plants on this planet didn't quite gain energy the same way the plants back home did.

All that, of course, was neither here nor there. Max stared cautiously at the creature standing in front of him, gazing down at him - and it did have to bend over to look him in the eyes, for it was at least one and a half times his own height - and carefully held out his hand.

"Uh... hello?" he greeted, awkward but curious. "Can... can you understand me?"

"I have always understood you." A hand far larger than his own grabbed his hand with surprising gentleness. "You have been a companion for many suns."

"I have?" Max blinked, still trying to get a grasp of the situation. "I mean, I have... but I never had any idea you could actually understand what I was saying. Have you always been able to do this?"

"No." A pause, to think of the right words. "I learned from studying you. Your form is... unique. I copied the structures that allow you to move and maintain your balance, albeit with my own changes."

"You could see me?" Max seemed fascinated. At least, he did for a moment, until he remembered what he'd done in the forest countless times - at which point he froze, his skin flushing a deep red. "Wait, you can't mean that you've been watching everything I've been doing."

"I have been watching everything you have been doing," the creature agreed, tilting his head slightly at the human. "Is that a problem?"

"Yes!" Max snapped -- but he sighed a moment afterwards, regretting his outburst. The situation was incredibly strange to him. "I mean, I don't know. I just... some of what I did was kind of private..."

"You were lonely," the forest noted. "I am sorry that I did not sooner notice your need for companionship. That was an error on my part - you seemed happy, and I was loathe to change. I see now that you needed more than simple friendship with a friend that could not even speak." The creature seemed to smile faintly at him, the expression encouraging in nature. "And so I have chosen to become your companion."

"But... I don't... What do you..." Max seemed at a loss. "I appreciate the company, I mean, but..."

"You are like many of the creatures of the forest," the creature responded. There seemed to be a tinge of amusement in his voice, despite himself. "You require a mate, and I am more than willing to be one for you.

"Wha- Okay, okay." Max shook his head. This was _not_where he'd been expecting the conversation to go -- though despite himself, he could feel his loins stirring. This creature was just the sort of specimen he liked. He was large, with a bulky frame, humanoid but clearly monstrous, and possessed what was clearly an enormous strength. "First of all, you can't just decide that I'm going to be your mate. Not that I'm not willing, but, you know. And second, I don't even know your name."

"If you must know, I am called Vidden." The creature - who, apparently, went by the name of Vidden, -gave him a rather blatant smirk. "You will require a name to moan out, I am sure."

"W-what?!" Max blushed furiously at those words. He'd never have imagined the forest being so direct with him, so... lewd, for lack of a better word. He couldn't help the way his body reacted, the way his cock stirred at the smirk he was being given.

Vidden chuckled. The creature's plating seemed to split apart near his crotch, revealing a long tentacle that slipped out from within his armor. It was a thick, wet and slimy organ, looking very much similar to the one that he kept in his mouth.

Except this was thicker, and there was a hole in the tip. Max gulped, knowing exactly what this was meant for - and he couldn't help but shudder a bit to know that this creature was so clearly aroused by his presence. He didn't move away when it advanced on him, instead gripping on to his arms as they grabbed on to his own.

"You, uh... you're going to be gentle, right?" he asked weakly.

Vidden laughed. "I have heard your fantasies in your dreams," the forest told him, plainly amused. "If you desire for me to stop, you may simply ask for it at any time... but I believe I know what you want."

It had been years since Max had gotten any kind of sexual gratification. More accurately, it had been over a decade. He could make no other sound but a pleased whimper when the monster pushed him up against a tree, the slick vine pushing out of his crotch pressing insistently against Max's own length. It wriggled and squirmed against him, drawing out a moan of pleasure from the poor man who was utterly helpless to resist.

Not that he would want to, of course. Vidden had been right - he wanted this. Nothing in the world could have made him stop it at this point. Slowly, and weakly at first, Max began to thrust back against the forest - and with each thrust, he grew slowly more confident, until his was humping desperately against Vidden's cock and making them both groan with pleasure.

"I..." Max panted. His face was flushed, his length wet and slimy with his own precum and Vidden's juices. "I need more. I can't just... I need...""

"Oh, I know what you need." Vidden grinned, the bark pulling apart into a rather sharp look. It would have made Max shudder if not for the way his cock stiffened instead. With a single, powerful move, Vidden lifted the human and bent him over a nearby stump of a tree, exposing the human's tight, twitching pucker.

But not tight for long. Vidden growled as he forced himself in, his cock moving with a life of its own as it stretched the human open. He'd tailored the fluids he produced to help the human's muscles relax, and so there was virtually no resistance as his cock pressed into the man's anus, stretching it open and staining it with his pre. If anything, it felt good.

For them both.

Vidden might have known what Max needed and what he had wanted, but he had failed to account for what it would feel like for himself, in all his planning. "I must... admit..." the creature panted. "This feels... far better than I had been expecting..."

"You're telling me," Max grit his teeth, forcing himself back against the monster and drawing a moan from them both. He was impatient, eager. It had been too long since he'd felt anything this carnal, this intimate, and now that he had the opportunity he wasn't about to let it end before he'd had his satisfaction. "Have you... never felt anything like this before?"

"No," Vidden admitted. He growled softly as the lashing vine between his legs forced itself deeper into the human, the tip rubbing insistently against Max's prostate and making him cry out with pleasure. The poor man was panting, his cock hard and insistent between his legs, precum dripping freely out onto the floor. "I thought to offer you pleasure... I was not... not expecting..."

"To feel it yourself?" Max suggested. He groaned softly as he grinded himself back against his new lover, one hand reaching around his hips to grip at his shaft. A single, experimental stroke became more frantic as pleasure raced up his spine, and he let out a delighted moan as he jerked himself off. "A-aah, god..."

"I was not," Vidden agreed, grunting as his hips thrust into the tight little human -- though his hole was certainly much looser than when it had begun, and stained with precum and the various juices of the plant. Already, he could feel something building up within him. A climax, a peak to his pleasure. "But- nnh- I am no longer certain I could live without it..."

"Then don't." Max panted as he was fucked, his chest resting against the stump of the tree while a spare hand reached back to grasp at Vidden's. "Stay with me, Vidden."

"As you wish, Max," the golem growled, his voice low but promising -- and he came, one final thrust that sent seed spurting into the human and back out his loosened entrance, the warmth triggering the human's own climax.

Man and plant stood stayed together for a moment, their bodies entwined. Max couldn't help but smile.

It was another new beginning, then.
