[FILLER] - Baagaa!

Story by BridgeToPeace on SoFurry

I've decided to write a little one-shot if that's how you call it. I don't have anything planned for it, just know that all fillers aren't connected to the main plot. This event happens before the parts where Jason had been admitted into the Dragoons. This was a little sleep period in between major events. I didn't really put any intricacies in this; nor did I format it well. I just thoguht it'd be a side thing.

-- [Tokugawa University]

"I've learned a lot about Japanese today, Sadao-senpai. Your haikus you submitted really were eloquent." The young, blue-headed boy said to the male beside him. The other male wore a black get up, with intricately laced white stitchings on it. The two seem to have made their way outside of the school as they walked across the path that would eventually lead them to the train station travelling to the mainland of the city. The walkway was drizzled with beautiful cherry blossom petals, students strewn around and socializing in the after-class periods of the day. It was truly a mundane sight, but a much needed one. It seems even if troubled clouds hovered over Shinzuku City's skies, there was still some semblance of everyday life that didn't disrupt the common folk.

"Oh? I was inspired by a Taiwanese poet, Ngal Veal. She had written so many short stories in a matter of words and phrases, it simply touched my heart when I wrote. You, too need to find an inspiration, Jason-kun." Sadao replied a smile glancing over his face.

"I think my higher-ups in the Bureau have taught me a lot in the past few days. New training regimens, expanded my potential. I've already went out on several low-ranked missions helping out in the community. And, of course, you, Sadao-senpai. You've been such a great help ever since I moved to Japan. I've gotten so many friends because of you." the younger male said.

"I'm glad." Sadao said as he gave Jasona big smile. "The Bureau, huh? Such power in one concentrated area. I've heard they're strong enough to usurp the current Japanese parliament if they wish. It's surreal." Sadao sighed, looking away.

"I'm sure they won't.." Jason said, but quite unsure of his assessment. "If my experience is of any merit, the Bureau is an honorable cause."

"..I see." Sadao said, his face showing that he might know something more. Jason didn't quite notice this as Sadao always was hard to read in his opinion, just like a certain blonde he knew. And this wa smeritable as Jason has seen what people are; enough to know someone's hidden intentions. But he was surprised that there were people that he couldn't read still. The world was truly a vast and diverse place, Jason thought to himself. "I know a quaint little burger shop in the west wing of the 1st Ward, do you wanna go eat there for a bit?" Jason's eyes lit up as he nodded. This was the first time Sadao had ever brought him somewhere.

-- [Burger Cafe and Bar- Kyabaku!]

The bells of the burger place rang as Sadao opened the door. The fiery aroma of meat and spices hit Jason's face like a landslide; the shop smelled absolutely delectable. Sadao looked over to the woman on the counter; the female automatically noticing him and immediately squealed in joy. It seems Sadao was well known around these parts.

"Oh my-- Sadao-kun's here!" the female swooned as she called on fellow waitresses. Every single one of the females vyed for them to serve him. Jason felt quite unnerved by all the attention that his senpai was receiving. The females turned their attention to Jason who flocked to as well.

"Oh, he's soo cute!" one of the waitresses said as they pinched Jason's cheeks. The teen had no choice but to chuckle in respect, but in truth, it was a very uncomfortable position he was in.

"Now, now, please settle down. I don't want Jason here to be uncomfortable." Sadao said in a joking manner. Just then a middle aged man appeared from inside the kitchen doors. He saw Sadao immediately and his smile reached from ear to ear. The manager came to greet the blonde and gave him a friendly hug.

"Why, if it isn't Sadao! You're not looking to be host for this cafe again, aren't you? No one seemed to be able to satisfy our regulars except you. Your really put the other hosts at a high standard, Sadao-kun." the manager said. "Also, I'm hoping you're not up to get free stuff again." the manager's face faded into an annoyed look as his tone lowered down.

"Ahaha, Mr. Kazekawa, it's your waitresses insist that I don't pay." Sadao said, chuckling lighheartedly.

"That's the exact reason I'm changing your server everytime you come here.. specifically for you!" the manager said, a bit annoyed but nonetheless, not angry. "But we have a new employee. He works part-time as both a waiter in the morning and a host in evenings. He's pretty young as far as I can tell and I hear he's pretty good with women."

"So you're having a male serve us now? That's a first. But I guess, he might get me to actually pay the bill this time." Sadao said, smiling. Jason could only look at the shop as he gazed over the tables where various women have been serving all sorts of people. The place looks high profile and Jason felt he didn't belong. The manager looked over and escorted Jason and Sadao to their seats.

"Your server will be here in a minute, here are the menus." the manager gave the leather cased menus to the duo as he went to get their server.

"This is a really high profile place, Sadao-kun. Are you sure students can hang out here?" Jason asked.

"Of course. I knew a few students who worked part-time in this place. Some of the women you see now are still in the second-year of high school." Sadao said, his thumb pointing to three of the girls mindlessly swooning over him from behind. "Just choose your order and I'll pay for it."

"O-Oh.. no, I can handle it. You needn't bother yourself." Jason said as he opened the menu and his face turned white all of a sudden. On the rows of the menu there were stacking prices of 2000-3000 yen. The lowest priced item was at 1600 yen. These were all to expensive for Jason to handle. Jason looked at Sadao who was smirking at him.

"I told you.. I'll handle it. I've earned a meager amount of money from hosting back in the summer." Sadao said, shaking his wallet around. Jason just sheepsihly chuckled as he thoguht to himself that hanging out with Sadao may cost him a lot of his lunch money. 'Maybe I should go back to steel cage fighting for a living.. despite how short-lived that was.' Jason said to himself, obviously joking.

"Irasshaimase! How may I help you two today-- nggh!" A particularly cheery, young male voice called out; a voice that was reminscent to a young child ringed into Jason's ears, but the abrupt 'nggh' sound that he had made seemed like he could be fabricating it. It seems the waiter has arrived. The two looked at their waiter who seemed to collect himself and was able to procure a very cheery smile as he tilted his head, holding his tray with both of his hands onto the apron he wore. The waiter had jet black hair, his canines were particularly sharp and he seemed to boast gleaming, golden eyes. He was particularly slender, somewhere around the age of Jason as well.

It may have not looked like it but Jason could notice that he was sweating bullets. "I'm your server for today, Zuki Ikiari." the waiter introduced himself with a child-like voice.

"I'll have the #2-Deluxe and my friend here can have anything he wishes." Sadao said, smiling at the server.

"A-And, you, sir?" the waiter said, his hand gesturing over to Jason, his smile unfading and his posture perfectly positioned.

"I guess I'll have this one then." Jason pointed over to the menu with the cute little cat burger that had stars on it. "It looks really pretty. Not sure how appetizing it'd be but it looks interesting."

"Ah, excellent choice. I'll be just a moment." Zuki turned around and walked towards the doors.

"Was that--.. Huh.." Jason said, quite perplexed at the waiter.

"Was he someone you know?" Sadao said, his head tilting in curiosity.

"Um.. I'm not sure." Jason replied.

-- [Kitchen - Kyabaku]

'Shimata..! Why are those two here?! Dammit, I'll have to be their server?! I thought Sadao would never return to this place after that incident. ... I know. I'll just tied my hair like this and.. yosh! I'm basically a different person.' the waiter then tied his hair up, a lone bang concealing his other eye. Zuki blew his bangs up so his eye could partially see. The male glanced at how his appearance changed into the titanium steel of one of the cooking stoves. 'And.. him. They're together. But why should I care, anyway? ..Yet.. why am I so angry. Is this.. jealousy?'

The waiter clenched onto his chest. 'Why do I feel like burning inside.. why do.. I.. it doesn't matter. Just serve them, your shift's over in a few minutes, anyway.'
