Digimon: Manifold, Chapter 4 part 1

DemiDevimon flies high in the sky. For the
last couple of days he's done nothing but search for two missing Gotsumon, and
he has yet to find a single clue on where they could be. There's only one
explanation as to why nobody can find them: they were destroyed. DemiDevimon
thought the rock Digimon were supposed to be strong, but apparently not.
During that time he hears a rumor there's
a human in the Digital World. DemiDevimon doubts one human has the strength to
destroy two Gotsumon, unless they had some help from a Digimon, and if that's
the case, then the Digimon will have to be destroyed as well. Once he finds
this human, he's to inform NeoDevimon and the others and see what they want to
do to them, but chances are they will want the human and Digimon destroyed
before they become an actual threat.
DemiDevimon lands on a branch, stretches
his wings and folds them behind his back. Earlier in the day he came to the
conclusion the two Gotsumon are history, and have been searching for this human
and possible traitorous Digimon since then. DemiDevimon yawns loudly and shakes
his head. He's to report back by no later than tomorrow night, and knows his
master won't like hearing he hasn't found anything. The Digimon is about to
take off when he hears a couple of voices right below him.
He looks down and sneers when he sees the
human, and with him is a rookie level Digimon known as Gazimon. Once he informs
everybody the rumors are true, they'll proceed to remove the two nuisances.
Destroying them shouldn't be too difficult. DemiDevimon waits until they're out
of sight before taking off.
The Digimon returns to NeoDevimon's
hideout by the following night. The place is nothing more than a massive cave
in a mountain that's on the most northern point of the land. DemiDevimon finds
his master in the shadows with several different kinds of Digimon nearby. He
studies the group. They consist of mostly champions, and should be more than
capable of destroying the human and Gazimon. He lands on NeoDevimon's shoulder
and gives his report, and watches his boss draw a line in the air.
"They're heading in this direction,
master, but they're still a long ways away and that is if they continue on the
right path. Plenty of time to take them out, wouldn't you agree, master?"
DemiDevimon said.
The massive points to a couple of champion
leveled Digimon and gestures toward the entrance of the cave. He then destroys
a rock with a magic attack.
"Yanmamon and Flymon, you two take care of
those pests, and use any method necessary. Annihilate them. You got your
orders, now go," DemiDevimon said.
NeoDevimon looks at the Digimon on his
shoulder and makes several hand gestures.
"Things're going according to plan,
master. It's only a matter of time until the Royal Knights take notice to
what's going on. Those in charge of the western and eastern territories have
gained plenty of support, and they've done so either by words, force or by
other means."
NeoDevimon points to the other side of the
cave and close his eyes.
"Tonight I rest, and tomorrow I'm off to
the west and inform those in charge about the human and the Digimon who's with
him."
DemiDevimon is about to fly off, but stops
when NeoDevimon puts a hand in front of him. He watches the ultimate level
Digimon point to those who remain and makes a series of hand gestures.
"The rest of you are to continue as you
were. Attack any village you see, capture and/or destroy any Digimon if they're
unwilling to switch sides, and stop the human and Digimon if you come across
them. Now go."
DemiDevimon snickers as over two dozen
Digimon leave the cave. Even an ultimate is bound to have some trouble
destroying a large number of powerful champion level Digimon. The bat like
Digimon lands on a rock near the back of the cave and yawns loudly. He needs a
good amount of sleep for all of the traveling he's about to do.
The Digimon wakes up the next morning and
stretches his wings. Traveling to and from the west is bound to take a while.
The Digimon in charge doesn't stay in one place like NeoDevimon does. The human
and Gazimon should be history by the time he returns. DemiDevimon takes off.
