Count Down to Xtinction

London park was quiet & the stars shown brightly overhead. A cat played in the grass pouncing grasshoppers. The cat about to pounce one jumped suddenly as Big Ben chime. The cat then went back to pouncing grasshoppers, but then a bright light shown in the sky and a meteor crashed into the park. The cat ran off frightened as dirt was flung in all directions. A bum who had been sitting on a nearby bench walked over to the crater that had been formed. He looked inside and fell in. he got to his feet and brushed himself off. Then he looked at the meteor. He left after he lost interest in it.

-several hours later-

a group of men carrying M-16's walked around the park area making sure no one entered. Another group of people wearing white lab coats led by a tall man with silver hair towed the meteor out of the crater. They then loaded it onto a armored truck and filled the crater and made look as if the meteor never hit. The groups then left and followed the truck that had the meteor to make sure it didn't fall out.

The sliver haired man smiled bitterly as he watched the others unload the meteor. The brought it into a brightly lit room & laid the meteor on a large metal platform. Then the silver haired man ordered all of his men to break down the meteor for further study. When his 2nd in command Zavior chipped of a chunk it oozed a clear liquid. He looked around and the others in the group noticed the same thing when they broke a piece off the meteor.

"Va...Valentine Sir, you have to come see this!"

Valentine came over to see and was fairly impressed. He chuckled slightly.

"collected all the para...I'm mean liquid and then we'll ship it to our U.S. lab for further study."

Zavior nodded and shouted the order to the others and Valentine walked away smiling Bitterly.

After everyone had finished Zavior brought a small sample to Valentine so they could see it under a microscope. Valentine took it and threw in it onto the ground. He then stepped on it and looked at Zavior.

"I'm sorry but this is classified even for you my friend."

Zavior nodded and left immediately. Valentine looked at the smashed glass and liquid.

"I'm sorry my pets but he mustn't know about you till the time is right."

Valentine cleaned the mess and then went over to his desk leaned back in his seat.

"and when they find out. It will be too late for them to stop me."

Valentine laughed bitterly, and lit a cigarette.

The next morning Zavior brought a young Tiger into Valentines Office. Valentine stared at them both.

"what's he here for?"

Zavior looked at the tiger.

"he was found intruding on the site sir."

Valentine looked at the Tiger then back at Zavior.

"you may leave now Zavior."

Zavior nodded and left. Valentine gestured for the tiger to seat himself. The tiger sat and didn't take his eyes off Valentine.

"so, your are interested in what's going on here?"

The tiger shakily nodded.

"ye..yes sir I wa...was"

Valentine smiled and offered him a cigarette. The tiger took it and valentine smiled slightly and walked over to a table.

"ah, so would you like to help me test something?"

The tiger looked at him and nodded.

"okay, s...su..sure"

Valentine picked up a needle and walked over to the tiger.

"okay just hold still, this will only hurt for a second. So, what's your name?"

"Kero, Sir so your is Valentine right?"

Valentine nodded as he Stuck the needle into Kero's arm. Kero stayed still and watched as Valentine injected a liquid into him. At fist nothing happened but valentine smiled evilly and called for Zavior. Zavior came in and Valentine gestured to Kero.

"Take him to a room. He will be staying with us."

"yes, Sir."

Zavior left with Kero and Valentine sat back in his seat.

"okay my pets now I gave you a meal eat and then let free your brethren."

As Valentine stopped speaking a scientist came into his office.

"Sir, we found something out about the liquid."

Valentine looked at the man angrily.

"what?"

"it's a Xenomorph. It just needs a host to mutate further."

"so, it a Xenomorphic Parasite."

The scientists nodded.

"good, now get out of my sight."

The scientists left and Valentine shut then locked his door.

Zavior led Kero to a dormitory and through the halls. They were almost to the end of the third hall when Kero yelped in pain.

"Kero! You alright?"

Kero tried to nod but his vision went blurry and he collapsed. Zavior knelt down to see if he was okay and Kero then lifted his head. His eyes blackened. He pounced onto Zavior and sank his teeth into his neck. Zavior struggled to get free but with no avail. Kero again sunk his teeth into Zaviors neck and tore off a chunk of flesh. Zavior spat blood and tried to call for help, but his voice was gone. Kero punctured a hole into Zavior stomach and pulled out his guts. As Kero ate Zaviors guts he began to mutate. His fur was now gone and his body reformed into a gray scaly one with a head that almost looked like a huge axe. His take grew spine at the tip and they went up his back. Valentine walked up to the Creature that Kero had become and smiled.

"well my pet enjoy your meal then hurry with me. We are going to New York!"

(Ny, New York)

Rain &Sturm drove through the crowded highway towards the airport. It had been 4 years since their friend Izzy had come to visit and they just couldn't wait to see him. Izzy also said his Sister would be coming a bit later. Rain had always loved to have Rebecca over. She was the sweetest 16 year you would ever meet. Izzy was 21 and had just graduated from a military school. He had bought a gun store. Sturm looked out the window at the passing cars and sighed. He like dizzy and couldn't wait to see him but he was a very serious person and sometimes that got them into trouble. Rain pulled into the airport and parked in front so Izzy could find them. Sturm saw Izzy running towards their car and got out.

"hey man, how you been?" asked Izzy and he roughly shook hands with sturm.

"not bad, how military school go?"

Izzy smiled and they both got in the car.

"pretty good, not much of a school though"

Rain looked back at him and smiled.

"so, things went fairly well right?"

Izzy nodded as he took off his jacket.

"very well. They said I'd make a good soldier."

Rain smiled at him as she pulled into a McDonald's.

" I hope your hungry, cause we're having McDonald's tonight."

Sturm looked at Rain and she smiled at him. They all went inside and Izzy found a table for them to sit at. Rain & Sturm ordered the food. Sturm went and sat across from Izzy.

"so, when will you open your gun store?"

Izzy shrugged.

"don't know, but probably soon."

Sturm smiled.

Rain came over with the food and sat by Sturm. She handed everyone theirs & Izzy smiled and thanked her.

"so, how have you guys been since I was gone?"

"well everything was good."

Rain smiled.

"so, how was Rebecca?"

"she is doing great, school ain't that good though."

Sturm laughed.

"it never is."

They all laughed and finished their food. Once they all finished they went back to Sturms & they all went to sleep.

(somewhere in New York)

Valentine watched as Kero devoured the corpses laid before him and mutated slowly into a more devastating monster. He left and went into the lab his scientists had the parasite in. he played with a veil containing the parasite then dropped it. The glass shattered and the parasite went down a drain. He chuckled a bit then he pulled out a small vile.

"now, to test out a little virus of mine."

He tossed it and it shattered on the ground. He walked out of the room and locked all the scientists in. one of them choked

collapsed. He was up again just as fast. He jumped onto another and sank his teeth into the warm flesh.

Valentine walked out of the building with Kero and looked around. He gestured for Kero to go and smiled bitterly as Kero ran off into the city.

"well Kero lets cause some damage now."

He laughed and slammed the door behind him shut. He walked out and pulled out several veils containing the parasite, & tossed them in all directions. He then disappeared into the night, his laughing echoing.

The rain poured down as Izzy and Sturm ran to the guns tore for shelter. The city was a bit too quiet but nothing seemed out of the ordinary, but something didn't seem right. The streets were empty & there were no stores open, & the police were seen everywhere. Rain went off with her deputy on a call & said to stay at the gun store. Izzy locked the door and turned around to see a massive pool of blood. Sturm stood next to him. Both of the stared and them Izzy quickly went and grabbed a shotgun. He tossed it to Sturm then he pulled a rifle out from under a desk. He walked up a set of stairs with Sturm watching his back. He opened one of the doors at the top and looked around. Seeing nothing he walked in slowly, aiming his gun in the direction of a closet. He looked at the floor and blood came from under the door. He slowly crept towards the closet as Sturm entered the room. He slowly opened the door and then a beast bolted out and tackled him to the ground. His rifle skidded across the floor and Sturm aim his shotgun at them. Izzy struggled to get free but he was weak compared to this creature. Its body smooth & scaly and its head looks almost like an axe. Izzy kicked it in the side but it didn't flinch. Sturm tried to get a shot on it but they were struggling too much. Izzy finally gave the creature a good kicked then it screeched. He shoved it off him and scrambled to his feet. It went after him but then Sturm shot it.

"What the fuck was that!" yelled Izzy.

Sturm looked at the creatures body.

"it looks like an alien."

Izzy aim his rifle at it.

"IS it...dead?"

Sturm nodded.

"I think so."

Izzy sighed and lowered his rifle. He walked out the door and back downstairs. He grabbed a pistol and a couple grenades he had stored in his desk droor. He walked outside & Sturm who was wondering what Izzy was up to followed curiously. They walked down the road and ran into and officer who had a convict with him. Izzy and Sturm stopped and The officer aimed a desert eagle at them.

" you two just stay back!" he yelled

Izzy kept his rifle lowered.

"easy man we're just trying to figure out what's happening."

The officer took a deep breath & lowered his gun. The convict looked at them.

" hey my names Aaron, er what's yours?"

"Izzy, & this is Sturm."

The officer nodded.

"nice to meet you, & sorry for aiming at you we just have to be careful on who we run in here. With all these zombies ro..."

"Zombies? We just killed an Alien!"

The officer looked at them.

"man, this shit is go to be stopped but who or what is causing it?"

They all decided to go to the police station and get a squad car. Once the got there they found Rain getting ammunition from her desk. She looked at them then at the officer.

"what are you doing with them, Larry?"

"we ran into them in town, and we decided to stick together. We came here to get a squad car so we could get out of here."

Rain nodded.

"well lets go!"

Larry nodded, and they all went to the parking garage. They saw several corpses all eaten but some just torn to pieces by claws. They went through till they found a swat truck. They loaded up and Larry started it. They all heard a deep screech and then Larry hit the gas. What ever it was they didn't want to see it. When they got out of the parking garage they heard the screech again and then something slammed into the side of the truck. The truck almost flipped and now had a huge dent in its side. The truck was hit again and this time it flipped onto its side. Everyone hit the side of the truck hard and the windshield shattered. Izzy Sturm, and the others climbed out and then when they saw a huge creature. Its face drenched in blood and its body monstrous and its shoulders had tentacles protruding from them. Aaron crawled out and immediately pulled his gun out. He aimed it at the beast but Izzy stopped him.

"NO, its blind. It just attacked us because of the sound. See no eyes."

Said Izzy as he pointed to the creatures face.

It didn't have any eyes but Aaron was too freaked out to listen. He shot the beast and it screeched then charged at them. Izzy dodge but Aaron kept firing. The beast titles its axe-like head and then thrust it at Aaron, Cutting him in half. Izzy ,Rain, Sturm & Larry stared in fright. The beast then devoured Aaron's corpse in two gulps. They all watched then as the creature grew bigger and one eye then open on its face. It was directly in the center of its face and sideways. The beast turned and stared at them, and then roared. But before it attacked a Zombie jumped onto its back and sunk it teeth into the beast throat and the beast died almost instantly. It collapsed and crushed the zombie. Izzy and Larry aimed their guns for a moment but the beast was still. They lowered their weapons and they turned and started to walk off. They turned around when they heard a loud groan. The beast got up and reopened its eye, which now was milky white. A tentacle not protruded from it neck where the zombie had bitten it.

"Great, an undead Xenomorph." Said Sturm.

He fired at it, and Izzy made him stop. Sturm looked at him then Izzy pulled out a grenade and then a knife. He ran towards the creature the rolled out of the way of one of its tentacles. He jumped onto its back and drove his knife into its spine. The beast roared angrily, as Izzy shoved the grenade into the wound. He slid down its back and ran. The creature tripped him and wrapped a tentacle around his throat. Then the creature s back exploded blowing chunks of flesh & blood everywhere. Izzy ripped the tentacles from his throat the group left before the creature spotted them again. The last thing they heard was the beast roaring angrily. they stopped when they creature could no longer be heard. They tried to catch their breath but they were found by a large group of zombies.

Izzy sighed and aimed his rifle.

"okay, now kill them!"

He fired hitting one between the eyes. Sturm had one jump at him and he blew its head off. Rain punched one in the stomach then shot it. Larry having several chase him jumped onto the top of a car. And shot at them. Izzy noticed this and shot them too. He was then drug back and a zombie sank its teeth into his arm. Izzy jerk his arm back and thrust his knife into the zombies head. They all ran being out numbered and went into the nearest building they could. they closed the metal doors and turned to see a silver haired man standing in a doorway. He had a bitter smile on his face. The man aimed a pistol at Sturm.

"Ah, so there are survivors. No matter I'll just kill you myself."

Larry looked at Izzy and jerked his head towards the man. Izzy pulled out a grenade and rolled it behind the man.

"But...what would the fun in killing you myself when I can do this. The man shot a nearby lock and the wall collapsed and Zombies came bounding towards them. The grenade exploded sending the man to the ground. They ran off in the other direction with the zombies chasing them. They made it through a door and quickly shut it. They walked into the room and saw a zombie eating the corpse of what looked like a scientist. Izzy shot the zombie and they went around the room looking at all the veils and tanks that were in it. Izzy walked over to a table and moved around all the papers that were on it and then he fund a letter that was signed by someone named Zavior. It was for a man named Valentine. Izzy picked it up and curiously opened it.

Dear Valentine,

The Parasite has broken out in London here & we cannot get it under control please send us help. We need it now more than ever. the town is in panic and people are dying. And you seem to know a great deal of this alien Parasite.

Your friend, Zavior

Izzy shuddered. And tossed the letter down he then noticed a veil sitting on the table and picked it up. The veil was small but he could tell it had something inside it. He shoved it in his pocket and walked over to an emergency exit.

"Hey guys, I found an exit."

Sturm, Rain, & Larry Followed Izzy through the door & up a flight of stairs. The came out on the roof and there was a chopper. Its engine running, and ready to go.

"Ha, Hell yeah. C'mon guys lets go!" yelled Larry.

He ran towards it but then the same silver haired man got in their way.

"Where do you think your going?"

Izzy aimed his rifle at the man.

"get the fuck out of our way."

Sturm, & rain aimed their guns to. The man just laughed and aimed a gun at them. He walked towards the chopper and Izzy shot at the mans foot.

"stay back!"

the man stopped and stared at them.

"you think you can stop me? Well think again!"

the man whistled and the Beast they ran into at the police station jumped up onto the top of the building. They all stared at it in shock. It roared and charged at them but they dodged easily.

"I thought this fucking thing was dead!" yelled Izzy.

"It is!" Sturm Replied.

Rain fired at it but her shots did nothing. Sturm tried to but the beast just Roared and charged at them. Izzy aimed at its chest then remembered that it had been bitten by a zombie. He then aimed at its head and fired. The beast roared in agony and swung its massive tail at them. Izzy jumped then looked over at Larry & Rain.

"Get the chopper and me & Sturm will Handle this!"

He dodged the thing tail again and ran to Sturm.

"keep its attention on you, I got a grenade. I'm going to blow its head up."

Sturm nodded and shot the beast once Izzy had ran towards the beasts tail. It swung at him but he dodged. Izzy looked up at the beasts head. Its attention was on Sturm. He nodded and Jumped onto its back.

Larry aimed his gun at the silver haired man, and made sure he didn't move. Rain snuck on to the chopper. The man notice and tried to stopped her but then Larry shot the mans leg. The man collapsed.

"Damn you!" he yelled Larry came up to him and he pulled him down. He pulled out his gun and then put it to Larry's head. Sturm Kicked the gun out of his hand and aimed his shotgun at him.

"don't even think about it."

Izzy cut the beast head with his knife and shoved his last grenade into it. He jumped off but the creature wrapped its long tongue around his ankle. Izzy cut its tongue then ran he was blown off his feet when the grenade went off . the beast head splattered and its limp body collapsed. Izzy got up and walked over to Sturm.

"alright lets go." Yelled Rain.

Larry and Sturm got on an dizzy stared down at the man.

"go on ahead I'm going to stay here and wait for my sister."

"are...are you sure?"

Izzy nodded.

"yeah, guess we'll meet again some other time."

Rain nodded. The chopper lifted into the air and then it disappeared into the distance. Izzy looked down at the man.

"so, you must be Valentine huh. Well you need to lighten up. See you in hell asshole"

Izzy kicked valentine in the stomach & walked off. He headed towards the airport, & reloaded his rifle. He smiled and looked around he could hear the zombies and the aliens. Some even sounded like they were killing each other. He ignored them and fear;essly headed down the empty road.
