Grease wolf woke up after the long week of schooling and side jobs in the cold and snowy wind, it was December and his winter break had just started.
Gear wolf put on his heavy insulated boots, Carhartt bibs and jacket, then walked outside into the cold snowy wind, he walked through the blinding white snow drifts looking for the big yellow beast which he cursed for leaking hydraulic fluid the day before.
He walked up to the cab of the old yellow excavator, and fumbled around his pockets to retrieve the key for the machine, he unlocked the door, grabbed the key, climbed into the cab and slammed the heavy metal door shut. He stuck the little silver key into the ignition, hoping he wouldn't have to use the starting fluid. He crossed his claws and turned the key to on letting the glow plugs warm up for 20 seconds, before pushing the starter button, making the cab shake with the motion of the 404 cubic inch straight six turbo Diesel turning over. But it was no use, he would have to use the starting fluid.
Gear wolf turned the ignition off, grabbed the half empty can of starting fluid and jumped out of the cold metal box shutting the door. He walked over to the other side of the machine and started climbing the track, then climbed onto the first snowy step of the machine and grabbed onto the booms cold steel hydraulic lines to climb onto the flat side hood and slowly walked along towards the air intake, then started spraying the starting fluid into the round plastic dust catcher, when he heard a sharp crack sound as he lost his balance, and fell 5 feet onto his back into a hard snow drift.
Cursing the old yellow beast for its sneaky tactics. He lay on his back in the snow drift trying to catch his breath, before deciding to go back inside and mess with the victorious machine later when it stopped storming.
He got up and walked back to the brick house and brushed the snow off himself, before stepping inside and taking off his gear, and starting the fireplace back up with tinder, then throwing a couple of logs in while soaking wet and shivering.
