"Don't cry little one, it is almost time to show your power." ~ Maxius Nightstar

Shadow's Uncle Maxius is carrying him outside to the carriage. Shadow's black sweat slicken fur easily able to be seen now. The few red markings around his eye and his chest with one too. Shadow's tail longer then most, but just as fluffy as the others. His Uncle Maxius having a more silver colored fur with light blue eyes just like Shadow's. As Maxius puts Shadow in the carriage the thing from before comes back, its left eye having a scar, and the claws both holding two black axes with red edges. The axes igniting flames anywhere they hit as it scrapes the ground rapidly approaching Maxius. Shadow feels the carriage jolt as it starts to move quickly towards the village, with Shadow crying out for his Uncle along the way.

After an hour the carriage pulls to a slow stop, the doors flinging themselves open revealing an older male wolf with green eyes and a heavy cloak. Shadow, having fallen asleep from exhaustion is still lying upon the seat of the carriage. His arms spread out and legs dangling from the seat. The older wolf picks him up, wrapping a solid blue quilt around him and walking into a small home, with two stories, three bedrooms, two occupants, and a single library. The Elder Wolf releases Shadow into a spare bed setting a golden amulet with a ruby in it next to him on a bedstand. After leaving, the amulet glows waking Shadow ftom his deep slumber. "H-Hello? I-Is somebody there?" Asks Shadow in more of a whisper to himself then to anyone else.

"I am here, but you can't see me. You can feel my touch, but not my body. I am only an object meant for storing energy now." Chimes out a rather cheery voice.

"Who was that?" Shadow calls into the darkness looking aroumd only seeing the glowing amulet. Walking closer, he notices the gem has a face, but more of a picute look then real. As he is examining the amulet, it starts to vibrate releasing a light hum, getting deeper as he gets closer.

"I am Alucarde. I exist only to store your energy." Speaks the amulet.

Shadow slowly picks Alucarde up, his mind suddenly buzzing with newfound knowledge. Alucarde buzzes more and after a few moments stops glowing. Upon the cease of glow from Alucarde, Shadow places him around his furry and poofy neck. Looking around some more, words come to his mind. "Ceselias Mecko." Speaks Shadow bluntly. When nothing happens, he thinks of an orb of light. As soon as the thought finishes a mysterious bright white light appears. Gazing at it, Shadow realizes it is the exact same as his thoughts. A forgotten magic like the stories his dad used to read to him. How is it possible that he could do such things? And Why? That's the same thoughts running through his mind right now, but he carefully steps around wanting to worry about details later.

Once he makes it to the door and begins sliding it open the Elder returns with a bowl of soup. "Young one, you must get-" He trails off realizing the shining light. "He unlocked the amulet?" The Elder thinks to himself, the sudden appearance of this young sorcerer confusing him. "How did you do that?" Asks the Elder, his hands trembling in both joy and fear. Joy they may have their saviour, fear that it is someone so young.

"I-I don't know mister, I swear it!" Yells Shadow scared that he might be accused of crimes now. "All I did was imagine it, and it happened." He finishes, but the Elder smiles.

"I haven't seen material magic since an age long forgotten. Eveyone uses cast magic, or symbol magic these days." Speaks the Elder in an amazed yet subtle tone. Shadow stares up at the wolf wondering if he could teach him magic. Shadow dropped to his knees and held his hands together.

"Please teach me sir! I must learn it to avenge my family!" He speaks with a determined voice.

The Elder sighs quietly telling Shadow "Vengence is the one attribute you must never follow if you wish to make it anywhere with your life young one. It will only lead to your own destruction."

The young pup only looks down with tears starining his cheek fur, the short strands of hair matted together with the salty tears. His eyes growing red from the forced tear shed. With a sigh the Elder hugs him, pulling him close. "Promise me you'll use the power for good only young one." Spoken in a light whisper between the two.

"I will, I swear it!" Speaks Shadow proudly. "I'm ready."
