Chapter 16 â€" Corruption

Location: Bifrost â€" The Universe Meadow

Diamond awoke suddenly in a beautiful and timeless meadow, almost like he was back on Terra. For a few seconds he had been tempted to believe that this was all a dream and he was back in his apartment before all of this started. A breeze fluttered through his long portal mane and it made a change from the static environment of space. Maybe they had succeeded...

Maybe he was dead...

He looked over the grassy meadow, his eyes still adjusting the perfect blue sky with no sun in it. Where the hell could he be? His hand moved back, over the wound that he had inflicted on himself... it was still there...

He was still alive?

Munchy rose out of the long grass just a few seconds after and looked as equally confused as Diamond did. He looked around and said very loudly... "What the FUCK!? Are we dead or something?"

Diamond shook his head, he did not believe that he was actually dead but at the same time he could not explain how one second they were on a station falling to its doom and now they were sat in a grassy meadow. Munchy smirked as he climbed to his feet in his heavy combats. "Well great!" he shouted. "This is a pretty boring afterlife, I mean where are all the chicks...?"

"Oh I see... your from Rhunadia back home eh?" asked Diamond. Rhunadia was a desert-like country that was known for producing huge quantities of oil for the rest of Terra. Rhuandia society itself was a little on the poor side but they did possess one of the most ancient spiritual beliefs known to the rest of Terra. One of the major points being that when they died, the males would go on to receive a thousand virgin lovers.

Munchy shook his muzzle as he turned around, checking his surroundings. He smiled a little. "Nah... I was a little better off then that as a kid..." he said almost proudly. "Chentrilla boy, born and raised but I know my other countries well."

Diamond nodded, he was still covered in blood from his brutal murder of Ada. However unlike the first time he had killed somebody willingly, this time he felt nothing. "Can I..." paused Diamond for a second, waiting to find the right thing to say. "Well.. Can I ask you something?"

Munchy shot his powerful arm down to Diamond to help pick him up as they began to fully take in there surroundings. The meadow seemed endless with amazing different colours of blossom on the wind, the rolling hills appeared to go on and on for eternity. "Shoot" complied Munchy as they began looking around for Aries.

"Does killing get easier the more you do it?" asked Diamond which made Munchy stop and turn around to face him, looking the confused horse straight in the face.

"You wanna know if ya did the right thing?"

Diamond gave a slight frown at Munchy's directness, he just wanted to quell the demons inside his head that were keeping him in a constant state of pain. "We... I eh.... ummm.." he said a little taken back.

"Well, I believe that when you're finding out things like that... sometimes... ya know... you just gotta let it all out in one go... hey after all, we're not gods are we? So chill about it." Diamond found the last line of Munchy's speech a little too ironic. "No" he thought. "We are not gods... we are flawed creations."

"Then why don't we just let Galladia remake the universe?" asked Diamond. "Since we are imperfect."

Munchy stared at him as if he had swallowed a lemon, he could believe that Diamond was about ready to give up on him and just let Galladia have her way with the universe. "Hey... whoa! Wait a second... We maybe imperfect right? But we don't deserve to have our free-will taken away... sure... we're flawed imperfect creations but at the same time... there is a lot of good... variety is the spice of life and all that. Isn't freedom, the freedom to choose our own destiny more important and worth fighting for?"

Diamond scoffed slightly. "I have my freedom to choose my own destiny taken away at day one... I've done nothing but been manipulated."

"But your still here!" shouted Munchy. "And we may not win this battle... but at least we go out fighting because we CHOOSE to... and that's the most important thing, ya know... the CHOICE."

Diamond found a lot of truth in what Munchy was trying to tell him, he realised that even though he had been a puppet of the gods all his life, he could still choose to be something else... Eclypse already had and he had defied the Asgard multiple times. "Alright" nodded Diamond's long face, his green eyes piercing straight at Munchy. "I'll fight for the freedom to choose..."

Munchy gave Diamond a congratulatory smack in the arm which make Diamond give a whimper of pain. "Owwww! Not so hard!"

Munchy slapped his face with his paw.

Location: Yggdrasil â€" The Universe Tree

Aries struggled against the energy vines that held him high on the top of Yggdrasil. Even with all his muscle-power he was unable to break them, he just struggled helpless against the green vines that had surrounded and were binding every part of him.

He had awoken here, one minute aboard the station and another minute right here... wherever hear was. He looked down, to the platform that he was standing on while being held in place, it seemed to be made of glass and as he looked down he could see streams upon streams of branches and pathways that looked like somebody had built a city of a tree.

The glass platform seemed to ripple like water when he touched it with his feet but he could not actually push his feet through. From what he could see, it looked like he was on a platform at the top of a huge tree, the open sky above him was black and beginning to rain like the heavens were weeping.

"Poor little horse..." said a powerful female voice as Galladia approached Aries from the stairs on the other side of the platform. She had completely turned into her human form, however her skin seemed to share more in common with a plant then what it did with a human. She wore a voluptuous, black velvet dress with a split down the side for one of her perfect legs to drop out from. "Trapped... and alone... I don't know why you came here..."

Aries struggled against the vines as Galladia moved closer and closer to him, she walked very slowly and very careful almost like she was trying to seduce him with her long black hair and high-heeled shoes that taps on the glass.

"W-who are ya!?" shouted Aries slightly scared and frustrated to be confided within the vines that he struggled helpless against.

"Galladia, Goddess of the Orichalcum, Creator of the Dark Collective, Banished from the self-righteous Asgard... Need I go on?"

"Ah..." sighed Aries almost hoping that she was not Galladia. Her appearance was somewhat disappointing for an all-powerful Goddess character. "So yo're the bitch that we've been tryin' to kill..."

"Oh come now... You had enough trouble with Ada, didn't you?" smiled Galladia, waving her hands to release the vines and allowing Aries to drop to floor naked, his rippling muscles getting wet from the rain that was falling on them both however Galladia looked bone dry. "You're like children frolicking in a perilous swamp."

Aries looked down at himself and wondered why Galladia had removed all his clothing, he stood up, his powerful figure towering over her but somehow... he knew that there would be no point to attacking her. "Hmmmm..." smiled Galladia. "Not a bad specimen for a horse..."

"What you done with Diamond an' Munchy... what am I doing 'ere?" asked Aries in a mixture of frustration and confusion. Galladia changed herself to a wisp of green smoke and appeared almost instantly behind Aries, running her hands along his torso.

"I would not worry about that..." she whispered. "Hmmm... a big strong specimen indeed" she said, her hand running downwards towards his sheath.

"STOP IT!" boomed Aries, suddenly forcing her hands off him and walking to the other end of the platform in annoyance. "You won't break me..."

"Not break you..." smiled Galladia as she continued to move forward, her breast glistening through her velvet, translucent dress. Aries was repulsed by her. "Free you" she continued. "From all that time of denying yourself worldly pleasure, your devotion to somebody who does not even notice you to give them what you secretly desire..."

Aries turned away in disgust however when he turned back, suddenly Galladia's figure had disappeared replaced with the figure of another white horse who he had desired for so long.

"D-D-Diamond?" he said in confusion.

He shook his head... this was impossible how could he be real? Diamond sat down beside him, his body oozing pheromones that Aries just could not resist. He put a finger up to Aries mouth in order to silence him and smiled before moving in for a long and passionate kiss.

Galladia smiled... absorption of Aries was complete as she kissed Aries.
