Chapter Ten: Kagen, Part Two

"So then let's ask some questions and expect them to be answered in timely fashion." Twilight said as he walked around the base, looking at all the gizmos and doodads. Smiling with that horrible look on his face, the shark looked particularly victorious as he held the Outsider stuck in the seat with duct tape. "Where are you? Well if you haven't figured that out you're in your own base."

"Now then let's get some nice input from you." Twilight said as he grabbed the duct tape and without any warning ripped it off the face of the Outsider, Dustin yelling in pain as the tape was pulled off. Dustin still stuck to the chair, licked his dry lips as he watched the shark move around, but then figured twilight was waiting for some sort of input.

"Oh really you're going to do this, you're going to push Elias to far this time and you might have to ask yourself how many bodies do you have?" Dustin spoke, hopefully doing in his mind what would be the most constructive and effect response to the Kagen's question of course that might not be what he needed, the Kagen shark smiled showing off his impress set of choppers.

"Oh really, do you want to do this. I am a Kagen and I am who you should be bowing too, you think that it's all going to end in a peachy way. Because I will put some wrenches in your gear Outsider, do not test me." Twilight said smiling as he looked at the Outsider, Dustin at this point looked at the Kagen wondering how crazy the shark sounded really.

"Of course you wouldn't not things like that Outsider, trying everything to break me but don't worry I can break you as well." Twilight seemingly stated with a grin on his face. That grin worried Dustin, that was the face of madman someone who wanted to do all in his power to hurt people and based on what he did to Times Square, he wasn't bluffing this time.

"Oh don't worry once I get you Outsider, you will see that all of the people of this world will feel your pain as well. I want to see each and every face in this country filled with shock as I absorb their energies." Twilight said as he walked over to the computer and seemingly started to type on it. "Of course I want to start with the people who can stop me, so starting with all the Outsiders doesn't seem like that half bad of a plan."

"No don't do that!" Dustin yelled as he shook the chair, nearly it feel over but just before the chair slipped, Twilight put his hand out and seemingly stopped it from falling. Dustin struggled in his seat, he was stuck he couldn't stand up and he couldn't move anything to control water. This was bad for him and if he didn't start soon the world would fall to the Kagen's feet.

"Now then let's get to the bigger questions while you are tied up there, why do you remain an Outsider?" Twilight asked getting an eyebrow raise from the Outsider, wondering what was pushing the Kagen to ask the bigger questions, Dustin wondered what he even meant by the questions.

"I mean look at you and your powers you could do anything you wanted, you could be a Kagen, a Riftwalker; with your powers you could trap entire armies in blocks of ice. So why do you remain here on this Earth?" Twilight asked smiling as he walked around the Outsider, looking at him and pondering in to his mind searching for some sort of answer that would satisfy him.

"I'm needed on this Earth, not out there in the big wide universe I can stay where I want to and don't need you to tell me where I am going." Dustin threw shade at Twilight and the shark surely noticed, with a smile on his face Twilight walked over and looking at the Outsider smiled.

"You think I want to guide you on some sort of tour of the universe, please I am a better Kagen then that, but why do you stay here?" Twilight said seemingly in Dustin's eyes he was truly interested in the answer, but to the shark it didn't matter this was still a person who kidnapped him on the streets and was sending his team on a wild goose chase.

"Why do you want to know, I can stay on this Earth if I please, I am sure that I have some sort of say in where I go." Dustin said smiling like he had won, but Twilight seemingly didn't like that answer. The shark walked away and back to the computer, grabbing the mouse he looked at the file and smiled back to the Outsider. Dustin really didn't like that look on the Kagen's face.

"Still look at you there, you're stuck here for as long as I like and you can't do anything about it." Twilight said smiling with seemingly a look of satisfaction on his face now, he had defeated Dustin and he had trapped him. Dustin took a sigh maybe he would have to bow to the Kagen. No, he told himself he needed to fight against this source of evil in the universe, after all he killed and all he changed, this needed to be fixed.

"Listen Twilight just give up, know that Elias is more powerful than you..." With that look on his face, Dustin knew exactly what he was doing. Twilight suddenly turned back towards him, instantly tendrils appearing and Twilight's eyes turning red and his canines dropping. Dustin smiled as he found the button to push the Kagen with and he was going to push it.

"Do you know who you are talking to I am the most powerful Kagen in the multi-verse right now so respect me!" Twilight said the anger boiling inside of him. And then seemingly with his right hand he slapped Dustin, the shark was knocked off the ground and perhaps luckily for the Kagen the chair didn't snap, Dustin screamed in pain as he hit the ground.

Twilight looked at the Outsider and grabbed his chair, pulling him back up onto the ground looking at him, Twilight smiled, Dustin looked ready to cry. The Kagen backed out, away from the reach of the Outsider not that he had to fear anything happening to him.

"Ah cheek so rosy, look at you Outsider are you embarrassed that you have failed or should you be embarrassed that your world will fall. Rosy cheeks like pedals falling into a roaring creek, dragged under because they decided to spread out beyond what they could handle." Twilight said as he stood victorious in front of the Outsider. Looking at the computer, he brought up a camera feed.

"Why don't we see how your friends are doing." Twilight said as he seemingly hacked into the camera and using the arrow keys manipulated its direction. The camera was somewhere in South Manhattan, Dustin could tell that much with the street completely covered in shade.

As the camera pointed towards the sky, the large exterior of a massive metallic building stretching into the sky stood as the most dominant feature in the camera feed. Twilight glided it up to the top of the tower and held the feed their, as the shark looked down to his watch he smiled.

And then looking back up to the feed...

BOOSH!

Suddenly a massive explosion rang out from the center of the building, knocking massive slabs of concrete and steel out of its path, and towards the street. As the building was torn apart, the ground and camera shook, people below it screaming and in a few seconds it was over. The smoke cloud flew into the sky and that was it.

Dustin looked in horror at the building; the floors below the explosion pushed out and bent like a banana peel. All of this because of some stupid war, how was this fair to anyone? Dustin tried to put all his weight onto the chair, see if he could crack it but found that to be failing.

"See there, your friends are dead, they couldn't have escaped that. And now it is just you and me so, I will allow you some time to deal with that fact while I go brag to the world and absorb some people." Twilight said smiling and walking away from the Outsider, opening the door and passing out if the perception filter, Twilight left the Outsider alone in his own base.

Dustin knew that was stupid even for him, and thus it was time to make his escape. He started to as the kids would say twerk, and started to shake the chair, while it would take some time, as he felt the wooden beams move under his body the Outsider knew he was making progress and that was key, because he knew that his friends weren't dead and that they would find some way to survive.

And if the Outsider knew one thing, it was that after all this time, dealing with Twilight and Ronan that when he met back up with the Kagen shark, Elias would dam well be pleased to give him some time with Twilight or else both of them would get beaten.

....

Meanwhile, five minutes ago, Holographic Twilight stood holding the beeping red ball that held his redemption. Twilight was going to explode Elias and Colin and claim his redemption, only he and he the Kagen shark, alone could claim this, because after the war and all that Bright had done, this was owed to Twilight and he would enjoy being god of water again.

So as he looked back at the locked door, like a brain, his AI knowing that without very obvious motion the Outsiders couldn't escape, he simply decided to play the waiting game, he saw the two Outsiders and he stood still, he was going to do something different, he was going to not say a speech, not do something that would take away his advantage, the ball, he was just going to wait with a look of satisfaction on his face.

"So then you got us, you finally beat us and your just going to stand there and do nothing, no speeches planned on how you won, no dancing around the room parading your victory, seems a little boring even for you." Elias said, as he looked to Colin, this worried them greatly. Looking forward at the shark, he wondered if the AI would surpass the Kagen in terms of beating them.

"So what nothing, are you just going to let us die here of boredom." Colin said, that was their advantage, that Twilight would say a speech or do something that they could gain the advantage back but now it wasn't coming and it seemed they might actually not escape.

"Well then Mr. AI congratulations you finally beaten us, congratulations!" Elias said as he started to clap, Colin looking in confusion before the grabbed it and started to make him clap as well. And still the AI stood there without a response, the only thing telling them that he hadn't glitched was his human-like movements.

"Yeah congratulations you won, you've beaten us fair and square; Twilight and we're going to die horrible and painful deaths." Colin said clapping as he tried to sell their bullshit brand bullshit. Twilight smiled with glee on his face and seemingly accepted the bullshit with happiness on his face.

"Well then no need to stop the inevitable, why don't you save some time and just blow us all up now for all we care." Colin said as he looked at the hologram and smiled, he was horrible at selling this but he could have been doing worse. Taking a quick breath he looked at the hologram with a truly defeated look on his face.

"Well then I suppose I can do that." Twilight said as he reached over and put his hand on the trigger. And then Elias stuck, jumping forward the shark knocked it out of Twilight's hand and onto the floor, the flashing of the red dot was the same, so they had the same amount of time left. The shark stood up and faced the hologram.

"Well then you want to fight?" Elias said as he put his hands up and suddenly flames of blue energy appeared. The shark jumped forward and clashing with the hologram for a second, he then phased through. Twilight laughed with that annoying giggle as his hologram turned around.

"Colin try to get the ball before he does!" Elias said to the lizard pointing to the direction of the ball. Before Twilight could make his path, Elias once again jumped through and appeared behind the shark, confusing the Kagen hologram, quickly Elias stuck the back of his neck and reacting in suck a life like way, he was knocked away.

Elias followed, but Colin looked around. Focusing himself he remembered Elias's aura in his eyes, the shark pointing forward. And he started to walk forward, he reaching forward he felt like he might almost grab the ball and putting his hand out he nearly grabbed it off the floor. But then quickly he moved out of the way, and then his path was lost. Looking around he tried to center himself in the room, he was lost.

Looking around the lizard tried to find where he was, the world looked so distorted and strange, he could make witch way he was facing. Turning on his back, he looked up and saw Elias fighting the hologram. He could see the hologram, something had to be projecting the hologram as well. Looking through the room, he tried to see for something, light projectors weren't perfect they still had artifacts so why wouldn't an aura projector.

Looking towards Elias, the shark jumped through Twilight and like that his body flashed for a pure second. In that second the aura flashed across the room, and noticing that he saw something, the whole room. He could see the room, and everyone in it, a technicolor painting of the room presented to him and in the corner, by a chair Colin saw the ball.

Throwing himself forward, Colin grabbed the ball and saw it. He had it in his hands and it was with that he saw something a tiny light shining through it must have been the aura projector. Colin fiddled around with the ball, getting another dose of the room's shape with Twilight.

And he saw the ball in his hands, he could see the metal and the flashing lights, it was a bit distorted but he could still use the image in his mind. Seeing the aura dot, he grabbed at it and pulled the light off, it was like an encased lightbulb in his hand, and looking at it, he wondered if this was something he could use.

Looking back Colin suddenly felt fear in his body, looking forward he could only see Elias. The lizard reacted, hitting a button the on the lightbulb suddenly a blast of aura flew out and it hit the shark, bouncing back Colin could see all, he could see the paintings and the shark in front of him, all of them different colors like people.

He didn't need to see the auras of people, he needed to bounce them off everything. Grabbing the light case he held down the light and stood up, he could see the whole wall, seemingly there was a painting behind it. And while he couldn't see the millions of people around him, quite disappointing he could see everything.

And looking forward, he saw the hologram of Twilight. He flashed in and out of existence, his body going soild and not soild, the aura particles passing through him obviously. Looking around the aura that hit the wall was slower, maybe in his hand was an aura device that slowed down the particles, they could bounce off atoms instead.

And then pulling his hand back, other hand on the device, Colin decided to do something brave and inscrutably stupid. His hand punching into the Kagen, Twilight was knocked to the ground and looked passed out, looking back Elias looked at the bomb and the hologram projector. Colin looked at Elias, he could see everything his eyes, his cheeks, his hair and his body. He looked amazing; Colin ran forward and kissed Twilight.

Even through his eyes were closed, he could still see the Kagen's face, how he acted, the pure surprise on his face and then he realized they had a bomb between them.

"Ok, get rid of that, I have can see so let's not ruin this occasion." Colin said as he looked at Twilight and they both nodded. Elias looked at the ball and suddenly he looked surprise, in Colin's eyes a tiny red point on the ball was coming in and disappearing quicker and quicker, and then the lizard figured out what it was.

"Shit run!" Elias yelled as he grabbed Colin's hand and pulled him away from the bomb, Colin looked back and holding onto his aura light, worried. Elias jumped up into the air, his wings spreading out and the two of them flying into the sky. Flying away from the balcony, Elias held onto him, holding onto the lizard like a harness.

Looking around Colin was brought to tears as he looked around and saw the whole of the city, all the buildings lit up and stretching into the sky. Looking around, it was amazing and he wished their flying would never end. But alas it did and soon the two of them landed on the ground, both of them landing on an aside building.

"Don't look." Elias said, not wanting to show Colin the horror of the world. Closing his eyes, Colin looked away as he heard a massive explosion around. Colin was knocked down and he lost his step. Knocked to the ground, Colin looked forward and saw the destroyed building. He was horrified as he saw the building torn apart, and multiple metal pieces seemingly being spilt across the land.

Was this was everyone saw, did he need this curse on him. Maybe it would be better if he just stayed blind. Looking forward he took his hand off the button and instantly his vision was turned off. He was returned to the world of near darkness, back to the time of ignorance of the world and knew that maybe he wasn't ready for the world.

"We need to go, we need to find Dustin. He's probably trapped in a block of Azbantium." Elias said as he turned around and grabbed Colin off the ground, the lizard looked at him and kept that face of bliss that he often held. Colin looked down to the ground and saw the lamp still glowing with just a bit of aura, the ground was just lit up.

And yet he could see the ground below him and the people walking over it, strange how some auras bounced off normal objects and others went through and bounced off people. And then seemingly Colin found the lightbulb over his head, metaphorically grabbing it and the lightbulb on the ground the Outsider had an idea and quite an ingenious one at worst.

"I think I can get around Azbantium." Colin relayed, smiling and looking at Elias the shark looked confused. Azbantium was seemingly the anti-superhero material and now the lizard had a way to get around it, this was his idea and this idea of his was genius. Showing him the lightbulb, Elias looked confused pondering what he meant.

"I'm sorry I don't know what you mean." Elias said as he looked down and tried to view the ground, something was happening. And looking down, he viewed the ground; people were marching around maybe rebelling against Twilight which would be great, how something told Elias that it wasn't going to happen. "Stay back."

Warning Colin, the shark jumped the edge and spreading his wings once again looked to the ground as he approached, he opened his ears superhuman senses letting him hear everything. Looking down Elias heard screaming and the sounds of people running away so quickly. Looking around, Elias floated around, people dressed in black and red armor ran around.

And then suddenly, there was a massive sound of something gathering below him. Looking down to the ground, a massive red light reflected in his eyes. And then, Elias quickly jumped out of the way a massive collection of laser blasts flying up into the air, Elias was knocked around as turbulence hit him and the wind nearly knocking his wings out.

Elias breathed as he looked around and saw the Neurotroopers, both zombies and alive variants shooting and eating people. This wasn't some sort of attack, this was a massive invasion. Elias looked forward and saw everyone running in panic away from the center of the city, near the Outsider base; where else would the Neuroseekers start.

Trusting his wings down, he flew up into the air and grabbing the edge of the building pulled himself back up onto the ledge. Looking at Colin, seemingly the lizard looked out amazed and disturbed at the amount of people he could see, all of them going in so many directions. Elias felt anger, this wasn't fair to the people of this city; his eyes turned red and looking more like the vampire who he really was.

"Elias, we need to go." Colin said as he grabbed on to the Kagen's body and Elias wrapped his hand, kissing Colin on the head. The lizard giggled and held the lightbulb tightly; it was the cornerstone of his plan. They both took a breath and then Elias flew off the building and the two of them flew.

Elias looked below, this wasn't his or Colin's fight, and they needed to find Dustin. The shark was the one who had to stop Ronan and Ronan was the one who could end this, this was the crux of his entire plan. Standing still, Elias flew out and dodged the look of the Neuroseekers as he tried to shoot him down. Looking around, he didn't see any citizens, this was truly the largest invasion he had seen.

And then looking around, he saw people firing on the boats in the river. Elias flew towards the river, staying under the cover of the buildings shadow. He looked around and seemingly the day had passed; the sun setting as it passed through the forcefield. Looking above, how long would they have in the forcefield? Elias breathed and knew that he had to stay calm.

"Looking at the forcefield, people seemingly stood on the other side in the place called New Jersey, based on what the Kagen had heard maybe it was better that they were inside the portal instead of out there. Elias looked around and landing he looked around the ground around the Hudson City.

"I'll look around for good people." Colin said as he climbed off Elias's chest, looking at the shark and knowing that somehow this might be the end of New York, they stood filled with sadness over what they had let the city become.

"Ok you do this, I'll see if there is any one that we might help." Elias said as he put his hands on his head. The people were rioting with the Neuroseekers; seemingly both of them weren't able to do anything against the other that might keep the other people safe for a while. But Elias was thinking about the children in this case.

"Hello does anyone need anything?" Elias asked out as he sent out a message through his mind, hopefully anyone who did manage to hear it would need his help. Elias stood still as he looked around, hoping for some kind of message back and then suddenly like a bolt of lightning through his head, he heard someone else.

"Hello, my daughter she needs medicine." Elias heard the man speak and like that they were mentally connected. Looking around, Elias tried to see if he could decipher where the person was. Looking around, the madness meant he couldn't have been on the ground, so he must have been taken some sort of shelter.

"Yes, ok what your name and what do you need?" Elias said mentally and possible out loud, this wasn't something that he could tell. The transmission flew around him and he felt it transmit like a bolt of lightning. He tried to keep the strength of the transmission down so that he didn't over load the person below. Keeping still, Elias kept slow and breathed.

"I need a medicine called Tomarition, we get it from the pharmacy on the ninety-third three but there are too many people rioting." Owen said over the line and Elias looked back, he was about on Eighty street he could easily make it over to the nineties if he was careful. Elias opened his wings and started to flap them.

"I'm on my way." Elias said as he looked back to Colin, the lizard had a lightbulb with himself and he could keep care of himself. But before he could leave on his own, the lizard grabbed onto the shark's his chest and climbed on. "Ok, then we're going to help someone, Dustin can wait this is another life and death situation."

"Well then let's go." Colin stated holding onto Elias's wrist, rubbing his fins and holding on for dear life already as he closed his eyes and then the two of them took off into the sky. And then the two of them flew northwards, going towards the street.

The two of them flew northwards and like that they were off, flying through the sky and having the wind in their hair. Colin kept his eyes closed as he tried his hardest to see all the people moving around him, Elias looked around; he guessed that there would probably be only one pharmacy on the streets, it seemed a bit more than complicated to have more than one pharmacy.

And looking below him, he looked around it seemed to be most zombies below looking at them, Elias looked around and then he saw the sign. A CVS on the street corner, and landing on the top of the building Elias, looked below it was only the first and second floor of the building. He looked at Colin he seemed to be useless in this situation. "Are you sure you want to go in this, you might be better suited if you stay up here and keep guard." Elias said, it wasn't like he did not want Colin with him but equally he didn't want to get hurt or held back. And it seemed that in this situation it might be better to go alone.

"Yeah you're probably right, I'll work on my Azbantium solution." Colin said with a look of defeat on his face. A frown forming, Elias didn't want the lizard's scales to stay like that and promised himself he would make it up to Colin somehow, he needed to do that, he wouldn't let Colin be disappointed for long and would make it up to the lizard, it would be the end of him before he let Colin down again.

And thus Elias nodded and walking away, with disappointment in his steps. He walked towards the door, jutting out of the roof and opened it. Passing into the door, he disappeared into the shadows and decided to hide his face, he didn't deserve to show his face. Walking down the stairs, he looked around, it was two floors of apartment and as he walked down to the second floor, he found a locked door with the CVS logo on the door.

"Well then this is where I go." Elias said as he put his hand forward and then blasted through the door, it opened to his will and he entered the large store. The floor was abandoned and Elias was seemingly allowed free reign over the door, looking around the shark walked forward, looking at all the makeup and the birthday cards that were setup. Looking at a teddy bear that was seemingly set on a display he grabbed it and looked at it.

"Humans why do you have to be as weak and as crushable as these stuffed animals?" Elias said as he looked at the fluffy bear, holding it in his hand and manipulating it with his fingertips. "I could rip off your arm in a second and then like that I'd be a monster. I could switch sides at any second and everyone would expect it."

Elias walked away from the display and looking he looked at the bear and wondered why he had to be the god, why did he have to watch them. And then suddenly below him, he heard the sound of glass breaking. Suddenly there was running, Elias put the bear down and backed up. His vision scanned the area in front of him, looking to see if anyone was coming through the escalator.

Backing up, Elias put his hand as the floor started to vibrate. Backing up with regret, and looking forward would this be a defeat would he be left alone to devices without a pot to piss in. He gave strong words and tried to find the pharmacy in the store, looking around he found a sign and realized they were on the floor below him.

The challenge demanded satisfaction and if he had to spar with the zombies then he would do so all while threating them with civility. At least he would die in a place that was high and dry. And then like that they appeared over the crest of the escalator, the lights above them casting their decomposing faces in a low light.

Elias fired, and a massive ball of energy flew forward. Items were knocked off the shelves and landed on the floor, glass breaking and items being ruined as the ball passed them at the speed of jet. The first strike hit and the first Neuroseekers were knocked down and then more were pushed up the escalator, all of them running. And Elias realized that he might have been in a bit more trouble than he imagined.

The shark realized what summoned them and what might cause his downfall, the door the sound of hitting the ground and the blast all bought their attention. Elias jumped back as he looked to the door and then as they all flooded between the shelves, Elias realized this mission quickly failed. The look on Elias's face spelled more shame and regret, he shouldn't have prodded into non-Kagen business, he should have focused on ending the invasion.

And justifying his actions, Elias knew that ending the source of the zombies would be far more helpful then getting her medicine. He didn't need to be a personal escort, he needed to stop all of this.

"As an Outsider, I will do my best to end the root of the problem and stop the poisoning of the well." Elias told himself as he jumped up the stairs and escaped, he ran out and Colin turned towards him. Elias grabbed onto the Outsider and pulled him up into the sky, making sure he had the lightbulb with him as they flew into the sky. Looking around, behind them, the CVS seemingly crumbled under its own weight and Elias knew that anyone still inside the building was gone and so might be the medicine.

This was Elias's shame and flying back towards City Hall, he closed his mind not wanting anyone to come in and read his thoughts for how ashamed of them he was. And then coming onto the still empty building Elias looked around knowing that this was his defeat but he still had Colin, maybe this world was going to hell but he still had Colin to keep him sane.

...

"Are you sure about this?" Elias asked as he fixed the neural net onto Colin's head, with the flashing light above them then Dustin might be found. Hopefully it would be safer this time. Standing still, Elias broke the memories of the winter of Neuroseekers away from him and knew that this was the way to do so.

"I am." Colin said as he looked forward, looking out the window and seeing the armies of black and red advance around the City Hall, they were coming for him and this was the way they were going to find Dustin. This had to be, leaning forward. Colin closed his eyes and kissed Elias. The two of them touching and feeling the sparks between them.

"I love you." Colin felt the glow of the orange sunlight on his face and Elias backed up, looking at the lizard's face covered in a shroud of orange. Elias leaned and closed his eyes, he backed up and the lizard nodded. Elias grabbed the lever and activated the machine.

Elias backed up this time as the neural nexus activated and Colin's body glowed blue, covered in the orange and blue glows cast on his body. Elias watched as sparks flowed form the horribly wired machine, but hopefully this time it would work better the second time. Elias watched as Colin started to flow around and on a secondary screen it showed the entire batch of aura's he was scanning.

And then suddenly the Earth faded out and then like that one aura appeared, it was one that the Azbantium could allow through. An aura echo now passing through Azbantium and bouncing back to Colin's eyes, it passed through everything else but the Azbantium slowed it down and let Colin see it.

And then they had to determine the location. Looking around, Elias tried to find where the screen was focused, a location was being calculated. And then as Elias approached the screen, trying to see just a bit better a spark hit him and then another and another more, and then before the shark could react he was knocked back.

Elias flew through the room landing on the empty mayor's desk and then slid on the ground, luckily this time he was somewhat prepared. With some energy on his side, he stood up but it was too late. The circuits exploded and then suddenly it passed through the machine and into the gyroscope and then Colin's body glowed.

"NO!" Elias said as he blasted the machine, behind him the sunset and as Colin's face was covered in darkness, Elias realized that it was too late. Elias walked forward, sorrow in his steps. He walked forward towards the gyroscope and saw it move just a bit, he started to run feeling hope again.

"Colin please say something." Elias said as he extended his hand out and grabbed the lizard's body. As he touched the scales of the lizard, he failed to feel any form of life. And Elias's legs gave out, his body falling to the ground as tears flooded from his eyes and out, his body filled with sadness.

"No! No! No!" Elias yelled out as he looked over to the screen and knew he had to find Twilight, the Kagen's location was displayed and it was obvious, the Outsider base. Elias fell to the ground completely disheartened. "The Outsider Base encased in Azbantium! WHY DID I HAVE TO BE SUCH AN IDIOT!"

Elias stood up looking at Colin, his body dead and empty; Elias stood up and looked at his leg. Grabbing it he touched his fang into the scales and sucked the blood, Elias cried as he took the blood of Colin with him, he would carry the soul of his love for ever, he died a stupid and pointless death, but now Twilight would pay.

Elias stood up, walking away from Colin; this was his mistake and he would make reparations. The world would sleep in peace at night and he would make sure that no one would die from Twilight's touch, looking out into the night sky and seeing the shield. It would fall before morning rise; he would be sure of it.

And walking out with death in his eyes, Elias was ready for the fight. "This means war." And then appearing into a green blast of energy Elias disappeared, teleporting away into darkness and towards Twilight.

...

Elias reappeared in front of the Outsider's base, just inside of its perception field of the building. Looking at the rugged steel door that generally gave the impression of danger to citizens, Elias ignored it as such and grabbed the doorknob and it was locked. Elias clinched the knob and squeezed down, once again a pool of bronze metal forming at his feet.

And then he kicked the door open, pushing it through and entering the base, with a sound of silence around. Raising his hand, he threw one energy blast at Twilight and instantly the Kagen was knocked back against the computer, shattering the screen. His brother screamed in pain as glass impacted his back and while Elias knew it wasn't revenge it still felt pretty dam good.

Walking into the base with tunnel vision, the Kagen went straight for his like-bodied brother. Instantly Elias teleported next to Twilight and grabbed him from the computer screen, grabbing him by the neck and pulling him off, tiny pieces of glass falling to the ground as he did so. This time Elias was the one smiling, Elias was the one with the advantage.

"The hell is wrong with you!" Twilight yelled as he looked down to his brother and saw the blood lust in his eyes, the madness that was in development. And then looking around the base, scanning it for everyone he noticed who was missing and with that a sour smile formed on both of their faces. "Oh look at that did my little explosion miss you?"

Elias pushed harder on the Kagen, getting a moan of pain as the glass only bored deeper into the evil Kagen. And then he threw the Kagen in the ground, tiny shards of glass getting left behind and knocking all over the room. Elias walked over, stepping over the glass with ease. Dodging each piece, he then, stepped right onto Twilight.

"Is this what you wanted me to become, is this who wanted to face because now I am going to kill you and it doesn't matter how many regenerations you or me go through because what you have taken away is far too much to ignore now!" Elias yelled as he twisted his boot into Twilight, rubbing all the glass into the Kagen's back getting a yelp of pain.

"No it couldn't be an explosion because you wouldn't have left him alone, and you haven't regenerated. So it must have been something, maybe one of the zombies?" Twilight said looking over to Dustin, the Outsider shook on his chair but Twilight raising his hand guided the chair back over into its default position.

"Listen brother whatever you had to do in order to find me and Dustin is your fault, why the hell didn't you come here first, it's not my fault that you play loose and stupid with the logic." Twilight spoke, spitting out blood from his mouth as glass grinded its way into his throat and Elias smiled and pushed further against the Kagen's neck. He could snap it right now but it wasn't worth it.

And then the evil Twilight quickly recovered, twisting up from the ground he fired on Elias, striking the Outsider in the arm with an orange energy blast. Holding his arm as he looked down to the wound on his shoulder. Holding it still he stood up and looked at Twilight, maybe it was time for a war.

Rising his arm, Elias fired a blast and Twilight was knocked back; Elias threw another blast forward and another blast and another. Firing more and more the Kagen was continuously knocked back as he tried to dodge the anger of the Kagen. Holding still, Elias smiled and continued forward, walking up towards the Kagen and seeing his burns as he was directly stuck.

But he would still regenerate, and that wouldn't do, another Twilight wouldn't do all would be the same as the rest and they would all be evil. He needed to execute the Kagen and thusly he placed his hands on the head of the opposite shark. He looked into Twilight's eyes looking for any redemption from the Kagen but found known.

"Well then Kagen, these are your last moments do you have any las towards to say on what you have done and what you have seen, any apologies?" Elias said as he held his hand on the Kagen's body. He had him trapped and this was it. And then as he held onto his brother, he smiled. He smiled because this long and stupid game was finally over and he could say he won.

"Yes they might say, I was the bad guy but you always were, dragon emperor and sending Strider off to the planet and never letting him come back all for making a point to the Riftwalkers and what you did during the war some people will never ever forgive for what you did to them, I'll say high to Finn and Isaac for you." With a smile on his face seemingly Bright had accepted his death. And then as Twilight strengthened his grip

"And you'll say hi to Midnight for me won't you, and Niko, Ambrose and Deacon as well." Twilight said his body flashing seemingly in and out of existence, that raised Bright's eyes as he looked at it. And then Twilight smiled and Bright knew this had to happen, as an example for all Kagens in the universe that they had to be the good guys, they had to keep the moral standard.

"Good then, enjoy the afterworld." And with that Bright's hands started to glow, and Twilight groaned in pain. His body started to shake and Twilight threw multiple blasts of energy through him. The orange glow started again and Twilight instantly was blasted away as his current form and into a million balls of orange energy.

Dustin looked forward and knew this was the true power of a Kagen and looking in fear, he stood still. Breathing slowly, he knew that this is what could happen to the Earth and in that second he asked himself if he wanted a Kagen invasion. He closed his eyes as Twilight turned into a million points of lights and flew into the sky, unimpeded by the building and the Azbantium walls. Elias looked up seeing his brother disappear into the sky, it would probably be the for the best that he disappeared.

Breathing Elias, looking around knew that for now maybe the Kagens just needed to take a break from the universe, go back into the dimensions and just watch the Riftwalkers from a distance. Elias looked around, he had no reason to stay here he could go off and return back to his own place and go back to the Kagen Overworld.

Still looking back at Dustin sitting on the chair, he knew that he had one more promise to fulfill, at least for Colin's sake.

...

"So then men the shield has fallen and while some of you might have taken apart in the last invasion of New York with the zombie Neuroseekers and that is fine but next we shall have something bigger." Ronan said as he stood in front of a crowd, talking to his Neuroseekers, with New York in shock this would be the time to strike.

"A good friend of mine has passed away and while I might have done some bad things to him, I will still make it up to him in death with the blood of the people who betrayed him." Ronan spoke in the microphone, the crowd clapped for him and New York shivered a bit, he looked over to Major Inferno currently both of his arms on fire.

"The Outsider better hurry up and come and get me because if they don't then New York will find itself burning." Ronan said as the Major walked forward, getting claps from the citizens of the city. Looking out he found his army would be quite satisfactory for his invasion. Anyone who managed to survive the fire would find themselves fighting a bigger threat, a Neuroseekers army of a hundred thousand warriors all with massive plasma guns and a death wish. New York would burn under his fist.
