#6 of Balto Stories

Balto and Aleu have mated, the barriers between them broken. And now they spend the rest of Aleu's heat in the embrace of one another. They have decided to leave Nome, but first they need to make one last visit before they venture off into the wilderness together to make some big discoveries.

The forest was still, fresh snow laying across the thick evergreens and cold stones.

The silence was broken only by the intermittent gasps of a young she wolf. Her voice was rising, pleasure growing as she basked in the intimate embrace of her lover.

Almost hidden in the deep snow and scattered saplings Aleu lay on her back, legs holding wide as she clung her forepaws around Balto's neck, her grip tightening as Balto's hips moved in slow, powerful strokes. Just under Aleu's pleasured voice Balto could be heard, visceral grunts as he felt himself locked deep inside, every stroke pulling their flesh as one. Their canine bond held firm between them, sending elegant pleasure coursing through the lovers bodies.

Balto's eyelids were heavy, breath catching in his throat as he looked down to his cherished lover. Her eyes held closed, smiling until her pleasure grew greater, mouth opening as the paws around Balto's neck drew him closer, bracing for another peak.

Swollen flesh hugged tightly between them, the inseparable bond flexing and contorting at every push of the big wolf dogs hips. Inside the lupine knot throbbed in its own time, each spurt giving a delightful jolt of pleasure into his mind. The pair savored the slow, passionate embrace, taking the time to feel every motion of their joined bodies as they shared another intimate moment together.

It was five days into the peak of Aleu's heat, those days had been filled with many special moments between the new couple. Balto was awash in the potent pheromones of his wolfy daughter, her scent freely flowing through his snout nearly every minute since their reunion. Many times they locked together, dog and bitch, moaning as the combined undulations of their bodies made them each gasp and shudder against one another.

Many times already Balto had tied with Aleu, knot stretching her intimate flesh as he eagerly let himself loose within her.

The taboo was long since forgotten, now only the raw, visceral feelings of their breeding bodies and the tender, comforting closeness of their intimacy mattered. They kissed without shame, bred without pause, brazenly called out to each other as they made love.

In these moments Balto felt secure and whole, locked deep in a trusted partner, the familiar comfort of Aleu's awakened femininity surrounding him as felt her pushing against him.

Balto huffed in his continued exertion, eyes heavy as he leaned down to nibble against Aleu's neck as she gasped. The young wolf dog breathed heavier as Balto affectionately nibbled against her soft neck fur.

"Just like that... ah..." Aleu moaned, chest rising and falling as she took it all in.

Balto had always known Aleu well, nearly every hour of each day spent with her for the past year and a half. But now he knew her as a lover, feeling his body against her, the gentle affections they shared, the sounds of her pleasure, the cries of her climaxes. Even now he could feel Aleu's head falling back into the snow, exposing her neck as Balto groomed, rising as he briefly kissed across her exposed throat.

"Oh.... Ohhh... " Aleu gasped, paws pulling tight as Balto continued to pump into her body while nibbling and kissing her neck. Aleu had always imagined Balto to be a passionate lover. But she was surprised by his attention to her, he was quick to learn and indulge her fancies, eager to let her feel just how much he loved her.

"Oh papa..." She called out, back arching before she grunted into the air, smiling as she began to fall into another gasping orgasm. Balto's teeth pressed against her neck as she rose into the motion, the gentle grooming she had come to adore as a pup giving the young wolf dog a very special feeling of comfort in this tender moment.

Aleu's moans turned to gasps, body reaching its peak as the sensations overwhelmed her. Balto had her firmly in his grasp, his hold on her absolute as she submitted herself to her father turned lover. His firm knot came to the forefront of her mind, focusing as she felt the pull of her own body following his slow motions, her flesh squeezing desperately around him as she came.

"Ah.... AHHHH.... Oh... oh..." Aleu gasped, feeling Balto nibble and kiss even firmer against her upturned throat.

Feeling his own exertions catching up with him Balto's teeth parted, mouth hanging open against Aleu's neck as he moaned out, gasping for a moment before his tongue ran across her fur, his motions slow and affectionate to his beloved wolfy pup.

Letting out a long sigh Aleu turned back to Balto, feeling his tongue across her muzzle even as she rose and met her lips to his. Balto's lips parted further to allow Aleu to lock against him, their muzzles sealed for a moment as they shared a tender kiss among the evergreens.

"Oh Aleu..." Balto whispered, voice muffled between their lips as he eagerly kissed back before they separated further, exchanging quick licks across their tired muzzles.

"This was a great idea... I love to hold you... slowly and softly..." Aleu cooed, hugging around Balto's neck a little stronger for a moment as they both settled.

"Are you.. comfortable?" Balto asked, breath heavy as his hind feet folded to the snow, letting his weight gently hover over Aleu's body.

"Yes... hold the tie just like this... I want to stay close..." Aleu almost begged, relaxing as Balto did the same.

Slipping his muzzle beside Aleu's they hugged together, Balto's paw grasping at Aleu's fur as the big wolf dog held himself against her in their bed of fresh snow. Their cheeks pushed against each other as they settled, warm breath rising into the cold winter air. They held close, bodies sapped even as their minds surged with the continued sensations their joined flesh brought.

"I Love you.." Balto whispered, the words almost inaudible with his muzzle pushed into Aleu's neck, nestling into the familiar scent and feel. His eyes were closed, Aleu's heat still thick in the air as his emotions surged, still feeling the intimate connection between them in every vivid detail.

It had been so long since Balto was able to let go. His life was full of wrought and worry, even when he felt the most comfortable there was always something, something that never quite let him sleep soundly.

But now he was with Aleu, his lover, his daughter, the one whom he had already spent most of his adult life with. And now they had joined, the love they each held set loose. The passionate wolf dog now lived and breathed for nothing but her, the scent of her heat demanding the constant attention of her lover, the primal draw that he now happily indulged.

Chest against hers Balto could feel Aleu's heartbeat slowing, the younger wolf dog settled against the ground.

Balto's heart still beat fast, the constant throbbing of his cock not allowing the male much respite until his task was finished. Even now he could feel how Aleu's swollen flesh grabbed against every inch of his hard member, her grip perfect.

muscles clenched around his sizeable knot as the bitch demanded every ounce of tribute from her beloved dog.

The wolf dog stirred, feeling sleep lifting from his mind as the body at his side shifted. His limbs sleepily reached out, feeling Aleu's body settling down upon his chest as he was gently rolled onto his back in his groggy state.

"Morning." Came the quick greeting from the younger wolf dog before her tongue began to rake across Balto's fluffy chest.

"Mpphh.." Was the reply from Balto's lips, his tired body already beginning to slip back into sleep.

"You have to get up." Aleu demanded, forepaws now kneading across Balto's large chest as she continued her licking.

Balto knew what was on her mind, He had fallen asleep after tieing her only hours earlier. Those few hours were more than enough to justify Aleu's need to breed again. Aleu had become ravenous for sex in the past week. A combination of her hormones, the safety and familiarity of Balto's presence and the newness of their sexual relationship had driven her nearly mad for near constant attention.

Even now her desire was self evident, her body pushing against Balto's as she craved another knotting, desperate to feel that overwhelming pressure within her again.

"I need you.." She whispered, attention still focused as she pushed against Balto.

"I know, baby..." Balto replied, leaning up to lick against Aleu's muzzle even as his eyes refused to open. His body was already being drawn up by her delightful lure, but strain and tension still weighed him down.

"Baby... maybe we could hold off? Just sleep for a bit more..." Balto groaned, feeling his body wanting to slip back to sleep even as he felt the pang of sexual need reaching up from within.

Aleu wouldn't be so easy to dismiss, licking against his chest she could taste Balto's masculine scent, feel his paws gently pulling against her as his legs spread wide almost unwittingly.

"You can sleep after you knot me..." Seductively teased Aleu, letting her front teeth gently nip against Balto's chest, showing her need as her swollen vulva pushed between Balto's spread legs.

"I'll do the work.. Relax, papa..." Aleu offered, sitting upright as she peered down between their bodies. A paw reached down to manipulate Balto's well stained sheath. Balto's eyes lazily opened, feeling Aleu's body pulled away as he watched with curiosity to his own groin.

Pulling back with her paw Aleu slipped Balto's sheath down until his cock stood free above his body.

Watching the red flesh bobbing between them Aleu's hips lifted, aiming carefully as she descended. Against her lips Aleu felt Balto easily parting her. With only a slight lean Aleu felt the growing length hit home and push into her clenching passage as she came down. Secure Aleu's body fell, swollen pussy squishing against Balto's groin as her weight held down upon him.

"Mmphh... uhhh..." Aleu involuntarily moaned out, feeling her fertile body penetrated once again. Her feral mind reveled in the sensation, a promise of another tight lock with her lover and gushes of potent seed to fill her.

Aleu simply sat, looking down as she felt Balto's cock bobbing, pulsing, straining as he struggled to fill her.

The feeling was novel, the canine cock growing larger by the moment and preparing to fill her body to the brim. Balto was usually hammering hard against her, his powerful thrusts working with his growing arousal into one whole sensation. But now she could feel the humble spurts and throbs of his cock, eager to knot his beloved bitch with each small motion as they grew larger.

Aleu could simply sit as Balto writhed below, letting her mere grip send him over the edge and lock her tight. But the young she wolf was too eager to sit idle, she needed to feel the friction.

Paws planted on either side of Balto's chest Aleu leaned down, grinning as her large blue eyes stared into Balto's.

Aleu's hips rocked forward, smiling as her vulva pushed against Balto's bunched sheath, the fur rubbing delightfully against her lips as she pushed.

Her motions were rapid, grinding against Balto's body as she saw him writing bellow. Yet her weight held firm against him, giving the tired dog no choice but to accept her attention.

"Mhhph... ohhh..." Balto moaned, eyes wide as he watched Aleu thrusting against him. The sensation was odd, the male pinned onto his back as he was thrust against. A very strange, yet arousing position for Balto. Aleu was grinning as she thrust, taking charge as she felt the stirrings of an orgasm already swelling within her. She was going to pound him as hard as he did her.

"Keep your thrust shallow, don't let me slip." Balto warned, feeling his swelling knot struggling to catch onto Aleu as she thrust wildly on top of him.

Aleu's head rose into the air, low grunts coming from her as her hips pushed down harder, small but rapid motions vibrating through them both as Aleu grew more confident and felt Balto's pulsing knot slotted firmly inside of her.

Balto looked up, eyelids drooping as he breathed long and hard, his cock pulsing delightfully as Aleu's rapid motions echoed through him. Looking down Aleu's gaze met his as she smiled, before staring back up to the sky, gasping as she focused and thrust harder.

Balto's body subtly curled inward, legs spread as his paws fell onto Aleu's gyrating hips. Balto was struggling to push himself closer, not used to the more passive roles of sex, his body was at Aleu's mercy, each quick thrust edging him a little closer to a climax he could not control.

"Ahh... ohhh... yess.. oh yes...." Aleu hissed, body shuddering as she climaxed around Balto's still growing cock. Her hips moved quicker, giving a final flurry of humps as she pushed herself over the edge, gripping down onto Balto's squirting member.

"Mhhh... that's the stuff..." Aleu moaned again, her mind alight as her body trembled. Despite the many times she had already felt it, she was always overwhelmed by being tied. She was so eager to spread and offer herself to Balto and feel that big cock pushing from within her. The very cock that was locked between her thighs now, peircing her swollen lips.

Looking down she saw Balto, eyes pleading as his paws pressed down against her hips. Within she could feel him nearly finished, his throbbing growing more desperate as his maw opened wide, gasping low as his eyes grew heavy.

Aleu gloated, smiling at the role reversal she held over Balto, the older wolf dog pathetically wiggling under her, straining to push himself that last little bit.

Aleu's hips began to move once more, the motion slower as she rubbed herself against his furry groin.

Balto's reaction was immediate, limbs stretching further as his head pressed into the snow.

"So desperate... so sweet..." Aleu whispered, glaring down as Balto felt his pleasure building stronger once again.

"Oh Aleu..." Balto moaned, eyes falling to the hungry wolfess on his lap.

"How close?" Aleu teased, muzzle and body leaning down as her nose met Balto's.

"Uhhh... very... very close... uhh..." Balto gasped, feeling his groin tightening, knot throbbing as his body prepared to roll into the finish.

Aleu's swollen vulva slapped rapidly against him now, each motion pulling back and yanking on his knot as the surges of pleasure struck the wolf dog as he lay, unable to control the sensations Aleu was throwing down upon him.

Balto's jaw clenched, breath huffing in and out of his nose as a quick lick graced across it. Balto stared, eyes unblinking as he watched Aleu's body almost dancing against him. He stared over her features, her beautiful face so close to him, her large, deceptively innocent eyes staring back as she smiled coyly.

"Cum for me... Cum for me Papa..." Aleu whispered, muzzle hanging close as she felt Balto's breathing grow more rapid as her gyrations grew quicker, the firm tie reaching its pinnacle.

"Ahh.. AHHH.. ALEU!" Balto gasped, his muzzle flying open as his body stretched, paws curling as his mind reached its finish, exhausted body finally yielding.

He continued to gasp wide, feeling Aleu's loving tongue licking all across his open maw as he smiled from the intense pleasure she had rocked him into.

Regaining himself Balto licked back, nose still huffing desperately as his long canine orgasm calmed from its peak into the delicate throbbing of the tie.

"Mmmm..." Moaned Balto, eyes closing as he once again felt himself locked firmly inside of Aleu. It had only been a few hours since he had tied with her, and now another prolonged sensation of love and pleasure coursed through them both.

Settling down again Balto felt his eyes drifting closed, yet he couldn't begin to fall back to sleep, not with the constant ebbing of pleasure as his knot was squeezed from every angle. He could only let his breathing slow, laying back as he listened to Aleu's own breathing above him.

"Just relax..." Aleu coaxed, her body also settling as her weight descended against Balto's lap.

Sitting upon Balto Aleu's legs stretched, hips flexing slightly.

"Feeling the burn?" Balto smirked, eyes still closed as he felt the movement. Aleu had been thrusting rather vigorously.

"Ohh... Yeah." the young wolf dog remarked, feeling a specific strain in her spine and hips from her motions.

Balto grinned, eyes opening as Aleu giggled back. She had not thought how tiring all their breedings must be to Balto.

The young wolf dog smiled again, feeling Balto's full cock and knot inside her, its girth stretching her body just enough to remind her of the union every slight motion she gave. They still had several days left in her cycle, she would be sure to let him sleep longer next time, the poor guy.

Near the end of Aleu's heat the wolf dogs lay in the snow, looking up lazily at the dancing lights in the sky. They were on their backs, hind ends stuck together in another intimate lock as they enjoyed the sensation of the familiar bond.

They both smiled, watching the beautiful scene play above them.

Balto felt the telltale slip as his knot fell from Aleu's body. Between them their well mixed fluids melted the snow as they gushed free, adding to the traces of their love making all across the wilderness.

Balto crawled the short distance as he came shoulder to shoulder with Aleu, grasping at her suspended paw with his own.

"I still remember the first time you showed me the northern lights." Aleu spoke, holding onto Balto's paw as she recalled simpler days.

"You were so worried, it took awhile to get you out of the lower deck." Balto chuckled.

Aleu simply laughed in response, laying back enjoying the moment.

"You were always so full of questions. You even had me stumped sometimes." Balto continued.

"Yeah.. I've always been a bit of an agitator." Aleu joked, playfully nipping across Balto's whiskers.

"Well, you always seemed to keep me on track... You kept me thinking forward..." Balto trailed off, letting his thoughts drift to the colors overhead.

"Alright, let's talk about it." Aleu spoke, shaking her head and clearing the clumps of snow from herself.

"About what?" Balto lifted his head quizzically.

"I know you've got more on your mind... let it out." Aleu teased, not letting Balto avoid the discussion some part of him must have wanted to have.

"I really can't hide anything from you, can I?" Balto chuckled, letting the light joke calm him.

"Is it because we are going back? Well be in Nome in a few days." Aleu reminded.

"I suppose thats it... Its got me thinking many things over..." Balto ruminated, staring off into the sky again.

"Is it... about us...? If you are having doubts... please don't hold anything back, we need to talk about everything, good and bad." Aleu asked, fearful that doubt about their relationship may have crept into Balto's mind.

"Aleu... Between us... I have no regrets, no doubt..." Balto spoke as he rolled towards Aleu, reaching out a paw as snow fell from it.

Balto's neck rose, his muzzle meeting Aleu's briefly as he made a slow kiss across her lips, paw hugging around her body, feeling her familiar comfort wash over him as he calmed in the reassurance.

Balto's muzzle fell away, settling against Aleu as her head moved and rested across his fluffy chest. Sighing they both relaxed into the snow to speak again.

"It's just... I am thinking about going back to Nome... How they will see us." Balto spoke, worrying what others would say about them now. He continued, the sting of the taboo returning to his mind.

"Rumors have probably already spread... how I drove those dogs away... whisked you off as your heat began. All for myself..."

Aleu was silent, she knew town gossip traveled quickly, Aleu and Balto each had their fair share of rumors about them and about their relationship. Many still regarded them with superstition, the strange outsiders who did not quite fit.

"They will know exactly what we have done... There's no way to hide this..." Fretted Balto. He knew the scent between them was overpowering, it would be weeks before it could dissipate.

"You would want to hide what we are now?" Aleu asked with concern, unlike her father she held little reservations what the town dogs thought about her, she had dismissed that long ago.

"You know I already have a pretty dirty reputation around town... They see me... as nothing more than a horny mongrel. You'll be just.. another one..." Balto shuddered thinking of the town males laughing at Aleu, the half breed slut who gave herself to her own father. There would be nothing he could say to dissuade that image from their minds.

"And worst of all... She will be there... I need to say goodbye... but... I am terrified to face her with this..." Balto worried further, terrified at what Jenna would say.

"Yeah... mom will be difficult... I'm really not sure what she'll do..." Aleu added, also a bit concerned at how she might react to the news.

"Shell think I took advantage... that im a horny mutt who couldn't keep his paws from his own daughter... she'll think I am a monster..." Balto spoke, turning to Aleu with genuine concern.

"Let me handle her.. It'll sound better coming from me.." Aleu responded, pressing further against Balto in an attempt to calm him.

Aleu knew she and her mother never had the greatest relationship. As she grew Aleu and Jenna were constantly at odds as the young mother repeatedly tried and failed to contain her unruly pup. The females had calmed with one another after Aleu went to live with Balto, keeping to the occasional meetings to catch up with one another. Yet she knew there was always tension between them, for many reasons.

"It will be fine papa..." Aleu said, unable to think of a more convincing reassurance.

It was easier for Aleu to say, Balto still clung heavily to his wavering reputation around town.

A proud wolf, a drooling mongrel, the hero, the broken mutt. It had become hard to follow the many names and stories both true and false circulating about him.

But Aleu was right, they were about to leave all of it behind. In the end it was only the opinions of a few that really mattered to him.

It had been over two months since he had seen Jenna to catch up about the pups and one another. Would she hate him? Would she be furious, cursing at them as they fled back to the woods. Would she just hang her head at the shame, not even wanting to look at him again.

Balto still feared what would happen when they came back for the short visit, but he could never just leave Nome behind without saying goodbye, Jenna would fear them dead if they did not. And he had to remember Aleu would be at his side, he could lean on her strength for this. Tomorrow and from now on.

The town was busy about its daily tasks, people and dogs moving about. Mostly ignored by the humans was the pair of wolf dogs, their fur adorned with remnants of the wilderness they had spent nearly a month wandering together.

To the dogs in town there was something very different about the appearance of the local pair of wolf dogs.

The air between them was heavy with intimate scents. Balto and Aleu's essence covered one another, invisible to the humans that passed them in the street. But dogs along the road perked their ears, sniffing in disbelief as they stopped in the road or peered out from the side streets. They saw and smelled half breed father and daughter, stained by weeks of passionate sex, nearly soaking with one another scents.

Within those alleys the dogs whispered to one another, sometimes laughing just within earshot as they chatted.

"They're talking already..." Balto worriedly whispered to Aleu, head dipping lower as he glanced around the street, having hoped to slip into town with less notice.

"Yes, I hear them." Aleu stated plainly, taking a stoic stance to the offhanded comments whispered from the alley ways.

In truth she was also bothered by them, their words were mocking and harsh, especially towards her. They were already concocting the story for themselves of what had transpired. But Aleu knew that whimpering in the face of callus words would only give them greater strength. So she held her tail high, letting her scent waft down the street. Whatever they would say Aleu knew the real story, these past weeks had been the greatest of her life. So she would flaunt it, knowing that she was loved and cherished by a devoted mate, something these town bitches would never know, save for one.

Jenna sprinted down the street, the tags and collar about her neck jingling as she dodged through the midday crowd of the town. Her normal habits of staying at home with her girl in the morning were forgotten, not after what she had just been told.

Turning down the street Jenna saw them, Balto and Aleu both walking her direction, only a short distance away.

At the sight Balto froze, eyes meeting Jenna's before they fell to the ground at the expression he saw upon her, she already knew.

The red husky moved quickly, sniffing about as she came face to face with her former mate.

"Oh god... They.. They weren't lying..." Jenna stood in shock, shaking her head in disbelief at the story her nose was confirming to her.

"Balto... what have you done." Jenna continued, her words like a dagger to the wolf dog as his ears fell flat, whatever courage he had mustered slipped away at the damning judgement.

"Jenna... I... it's not like that... I mean... It looks bad... but... please." Balto struggled, he could find no words to calm Jenna.

All around dogs that had been tailing Balto and Aleu came closer, forming a small audience eager to watch the latest drama unfold. Balto glanced around realizing how many ears were listening and grew even more flustered.

"Oh god, she's pregnant... how could you..?" Jenna continued, demanding answers from the now groveling wolf dog.

"Mom, calm down, I am fine..." Aleu spoke calmly, hoping to reassure her mother whose ire was bearing down on Balto.

"How could you demean yourself like this, he's your father! Everyone's already talking!" Jenna shouted, uncaring to the crowd who already knew.

"Let the dogs talk..." Aleu dismissed, not even turning to acknowledge the audience she knew was present.

Jenna was now face to face with Aleu, seeing her defiance and obvious participation in what had happened.

"Aleu, why? There are so many good dogs in town, you could have any of your choosing! you could have just-"

"No." Aleu interrupted, stepping forward, frustration building before her mother fired back.

"Aleu! don't be so-"

"For the last time, I am NOT a dog." Shouted the grown pup, rising as she met her mother's challenge. Aleu stood taller than her mother, a bold lupine stare across her face that would make any dog give pause.

Jenna came to a hush, seeing that she could not hold any power over Aleu, she had always been strong willed, uncaring of the rules set before her.

"I would never defile myself like that... force Papa to raise the pups of some sorry dog who left me, forgot me." Aleu sighed, letting her posture settle as she saw her mother backing down.

"You never understood what it was like... you never could possibly understand. I cannot live like you." Aleu continued.

"There was only one whom I could be myself with... One who never let me down, always there. What happened between us... It was not a mistake. It was not an impulse or fleeting drive." Aleu let her paw fall to Balto's inviting him to stay strong with her.

"When we joined it was something special, The past weeks have been the greatest in my life. I have tied with the one I love. Regardless of who he is."

"Together we have the one thing you could never provide for either of us, a real family..." Aleu finished, a hopeful, pleasant tone in her words.

Jenna was struck silent, looking to her daughter and former mate. Balto looked up to Aleu at his side, a smile crossing his still worried expression as he finally began to relax against his unorthodox mate.

Memories flooded back to the red husky, remembering her own fateful heat in the loving embrace of the wolf dog, how free and loved she felt. How she had wished for it to never end.

Then she remembered how it all fell apart, how painful it was. She was unable to break free from the binds and unspoken oaths that made her a dog. She still had dreams of what could have been, but she could never run off with Balto, her place was with Rosie. Yet Aleu was different.

"You... really do love him, don't you?" Jenna asked almost with an air of envy.

"Yes..." Aleu answered, letting Balto nuzzle against her as their heads rested against each other.

Jenna watched as the couple hugged close, muzzles draped over one another as they smiled in a way only tender lovers could. It was impossible for Jenna to deny the honesty between them. Or to feel the jealousy of watching Balto's heart falling upon another so earnestly.

Jenna had always lamented hearing of Balto's exploits around town. A reminder of what she had taken from him, doomed to settle for anything he could find. She was never jealous, only saddened after hearing how Balto felt. But now she saw Balto, his amber eyes looking to another as she looked back to him in kind.

"You always seemed to take to him..." Jenna trailed off, unable to do anything but accept what she was seeing.

Balto broke his long silence.

"Jenna... I know you may still think I am a monster, I know how this looks... But... We need to live as our own animals. We never really belonged here."

"That is why we have decided to leave Nome, forever."

"What? No!" Jenna called out, a new worry slamming into her just as the shock of the first was settling.

"Yes, It has been set, we leave today." Aleu confirmed.

"But, where will you go? It's not safe out there, where will you get food... what if you get hurt!" Jenna spoke, eyes full of worry.

"Mom, calm down, we did not rush into that decision either." Aleu interjected, hoping to calm her mother before she became even more agitated.

"We have been making longer and longer trips to the north, the land is boundless and prey bountiful." Balto laid out the plan.

"There is a valley over the mountains, we intend to claim it for our pack." Aleu added.

"Your... pack... This is really happening..." Jenna sat back in disbelief.

"Jenna... I am sorry you had to hear it like this... We live in very different worlds now." Balto spoke, stepping forward to hopefully comfort his former mate as he continued.

"In truth I never belonged here... I was reminded of that practically every day of my life. Whatever I once had here is long gone, Its time the wolves left to live as they always should have."

"Balto... I don't know what to say..." Jenna spoke as she sat still. Part of her felt responsible, she knew the pain she had caused him in the past. She had once promised him everything only to take it away. And now Aleu was at his side, ready to be the mate Jenna never could be.

Aleu knew the story from both sides. How her parents had once felt for one another, how a part of each of them still yearned for those days, that things were somehow different. Yet that was long ago, Jenna and Balto both had matured and moved on from those days. They had their own paths now, paths the other could never follow.

"We can stay for the day.. But then we have to leave, each day is important." Balto announced. He had not been sure how long he would be comfortable being in town for this trip. But with Jenna calming he wanted to give her the time she deserved.

"Be sure to get plenty of food before you go... Aleu will need the strength." Jenna spoke, letting her concern and care for her pup overshadow her original shock.

"We have a kill and caches along the mountain, we will be fine for a while." Aleu spoke proudly of the accomplishment.

Jenna was a little shocked, having to remember that they were no mere dogs.

"Well, if your pregnancy will be anything like mine you'll need all you can get." Jenna asserted, her tone beginning to settle down once again.

"I'm sure I will, let's keep walking." Aleu led, prompting Jenna to move to her side as Balto purposely held back to let Aleu and Jenna have the moment together.

As Balto walked a smaller mutt from the crowd made his way to him.

"Hey... got a moment?" Asked Star, waiting before getting closer.

"Sure, what's on your mind?" Balto obliged, being courteous to the smaller dog and former teammate.

"So... you are really going to do it." Star remarked.

"Yeah... Really should have done this long ago..." Balto replied, keeping his pace behind Jenna and Aleu.

"I'm sure you'll be fine, I of anyone knows you can handle yourself out there." Star said recalling Balto's rescue of the lost sled team.

"I know I'm not the only one who will miss you. Those were some wild nights." Star said referring to the times Balto joined him and the other dogs for some raunchy fun with town bitches.

"Yes... I can't deny those were some enjoyable times... But that is not my life." Balto responded, trying to put those days behind him.

"Let me ask you Star, what do you think? About what I've done... be honest." Balto turned, hoping to pry a little.

"Well... uhh... I was a bit shocked... I didn't think you could ever do that..." The little dog responded.

Balto was silent, heart sinking a little at the obvious judgment he had feared.

"Well Balto, I don't really judge you... it's just, you've heard the stories." Star continued.

"Dogs and bitches trapped in their kennels when their master is too stupid to see the coming heat. We all used to laugh at the thought of mothers and their horny sons... Fathers and their daughters.. you know... it just seemed funny at the time." Star concluded, recalling such raunchy jokes and stories passed around.

"This is different, I don't regret what weve done, we had a choice." Balto jumped in, wanting to distance himself from other, more deplorable stories.

"I know Balto... I suppose the wolf knows best." Star responded, not sure what else to say.

"Well that's the thing Star. No one really knows what to do in these kinds of situations. You make the best of what you have and hope everything pulls through."

Ahead Jenna and Aleu chatted about the coming pups. Jenna was eager to give advice to her daughter, hoping to ensure everything would be alright with her grand puppies. Balto was happy to hear Jenna giving Aleu advice, He was sure Aleu's instincts were strong but some help from her mother was much appreciated.

Jenna Aleu continued to speak, giggling a bit as the mood between them grew more casual. References to him and the events of the past weeks. Balto was glad that Jenna was seeming to accept what had happened now, even if what he overheard was making him blush a bit.

They walked through most of Nome, trying to visit as many familiar faces as they could while they took in the sights and smells of the town one last time. All the while Jenna stayed with them, not wanting to lose a minute with her former mate and pup. Balto could tell Jenna was nervous being out of her house for so long, she would glance down the road, seeming to expect Rosie to run down and scold her before dragging her back home. But Jenna was left alone, free to spend the last hours in her former mates presence as the sun began to set.

Balto made visits to some of his old flings, said his goodbyes to sons and daughters he had never met. The whole experience was draining to him, the day served to remind him how much he was leaving behind in Nome, both good and bad.

Balto and Aleu now sat on the edge of town, most of the crowd that had gathered to gawk or pry had long since dispersed. Only Jenna, Kodi, Star along with Kei, Jin and a small pup remained with them to talk and reminisce.

It had been hours, the sun since disappeared over the horizon as Balto stood up, Aleu following suit.

"Its time." The wolf dog spoke, he could see the look on Jenna's face, a sad recognition that the moment had finally come.

Jenna stood up as well, silent as she struggled for what to say.

"The towns not going to be the same without you dad..." Kodi spoke up, walking over to Balto as he looked down, dreading to not see his father again.

"The town will continue on, I have long since done what I could." Balto spoke proudly, wanting to leave with a sense of accomplishment.

"Kodi, I am very proud of who you have become, you can do much good in your life." Balto spoke, letting his paw touch his son on the shoulder.

Kodi looked up, smiling as he took the kind words in.

"When you are running with the team, we will be out there." Balto reassured. The young dog was a natural lead sled dog, strong and fast like his father with just enough of the wild in him to feel at ease running through the wilderness.

"When I hear you, I'll howl back." Kodi promised, knowing he would spend much of his life in the alaskan wilderness too. Kodi put out his own paw to match Balto's before they both fell away, leaving father and son smiling to one another.

"You know we still respect you, Balto." Star piped up, the smaller mutt sensing his moment to speak.

"You have always said that." Balto chuckled, almost dismissing the reassurance.

"It's true, we still tell the story of that journey, even the humans speak your name in reverence. No one here is going to forget you, I am sure of that." Star insisted.

"You are a legend, Balto." Kei joined in, smiling with her sister as the Akita's looked up to the wolf dog.

Between Kei's paws was a scruffy pup, his features sharp, owing to his half breed father.

"Yeah!" The little pup shouted, seeing both of his mothers looking towards the one he knew was his father.

Balto smiled down to the pup before he playfully rubbed his little head, the pups name was Seto, the product of Balto's night with Kei and Jin months ago. Their masters had decided to keep the pup for themselves, letting the Akita sisters raise him. He was clearly of lupine decent to any who cared to notice, yet he seemed well at home with the family, a welcome addition and pride of his two mothers.

"Every legend has its end." Balto spoke, voice trailing off as he tried to prepare to turn his back to Nome.

Balto looked over to Jenna, she was being very quiet, he hoped she was ok.

He saw her stepping closer, focused as he waited for her to speak.

But she did not say a word, her muzzle only pushing against his as the red husky firmly kissed Balto on the snout.

Balto was taken aback, unprepared for the sudden affection as he reeled back before letting himself relax into the embrace. He could feel the passion behind her motion, years of withheld emotions pouring out as her tongue lapped across his lips brazenly. It had been so long since Balto felt this kind of passion from Jenna, but she was holding nothing back now.

To the side Aleu couldn't help but shuffle as she watched Jenna pushing herself against Balto. A pang of jealousy shot through the young wolf dog watching her mother so earnestly embracing Balto. But she withheld, Her mother did deserve at least this.

Feeling Jenna against him Balto let his own tongue join hers, returning the affection while the others watched Jenna grow desperate, paws wrapping and reaching around him. She grew firmer before Balto pulled away and ended the kiss.

Huffing into the air Jenna sat, glancing back up to Balto as he held himself near her.

"I'm... Im sorry.. I..." Jenna struggled to explain herself.

It was strange for both Jenna and Balto, they felt like they had said their goodbyes to one another years ago when their relationship ended. But now was a real goodbye, the acknowledgment that their time together was wholly over.

"It's ok Jenna." Balto said, reaching out and hugging Jenna against him. She complied, letting Balto's paw draw her against him as they sat and hugged calmly.

With everything they had already said today It was hard for either to find words fitting for these moments.

After a long silence Jenna chose to speak up.

"I... I never regretted it, even when everything in the world told me I had made a mistake... I knew I wouldn't have done otherwise.. Even knowing the pain it would bring..."

"Jenna... You will always be a part of me, you believed in this scruffy mutt when no one else would." Balto responded as both their paws held tight, hugging close as the moment came to a slow end.

Letting Jenna's paw fall from him Balto stepped back, joining Aleu as they stood together once again.

"This time next year, when the new moon hangs in the sky, come to the old boat and we will find you." Balto spoke, repeating the plan they had made earlier.

"I will... I will wait for you. To know that you're safe..." Jenna eagerly spoke, happy to know she would see him again someday.

"Dont worry mom, I'll look after him." Aleu smiled, standing tall next to her father.

"Safe Travels, friend." Star added.

Kodi stepped forward too, yet instead of speaking he lifted his head, letting a howl raise from his muzzle as he sought to send off his father and sister with an appropriate lupine gesture.

Balto and Aleu both howled along, their steady voices weaving together as Jenna joined in with her own dog-like howl.

It only took another moment for Jin, Kei, Star and even little Seto to join the chorus. Dog and wolf singing one last time together as they howled to the sky.

Balto and Aleu held close, necks pushing together as they gave their own practiced song. Soon they too would have more voices to add to their family, but for now they enjoyed the enthusiasm of those they were ready to leave.

The song calmed, voices growing quiet as a silence held over the group. Balto couldn't stand to delay this any longer.

"Goodbye.. Everyone." The wolf dog spoke, voice low as he turned with Aleu towards the line of trees in the far distance.

All that Balto could think of was a wolf's chant his mother had taught him long ago. He had been sure to pass it down to his own pups.

"May the wind be my guide." Balto spoke, head lifting at the words.

"My paws running swift." Aleu joined in, knowing the chant well as they passed the lines back and forth.

"My body strong."

"I give my life to the world."

"As it gives life to me."

"Before the end."

"We all run free."

At that Balto and Aleu ran forward, their eyes focused ahead as they moved. They knew everything was about to change. But they had said all they needed to, there was no more delay in the start of a new life.

The group sat in silence as they watched the wolves moving to the treeline. Jenna and Kodi stayed until Balto and Aleu were mere dots on the horizon, disappearing into the trees silently as they both prayed for their safety.

"Run! Quickly!" Yelled the brown and tan husky dog as he dashed through the heavy snow to grab another of his pups by the scruff.

Little Balto scrambled through the powder, its depth and softness making it difficult for the tiny wolf dog to move quickly as he tried to keep up with his siblings.

His father rushed back, grasping Balto's brother before carrying him towards the rocky outcropping jutting from the side of the mountain.

Balto could hear the rumbling rolling down from the mountain, a building cacophony of destruction gaining more strength each moment. But the pup focused, eyes forward as he jumped and scampered through the snow.

Falling face first Balto scrambled to get upright again, his small paws too easily slipping through the unpacked snow as he felt his heart beating frantically in his small chest.

The little pup looked up, his father dropping his last brother into the small, distant cave before he turned and ran to his last pup still struggling in the snow.

Balto strained, climbing through the snow as he looked to his father, the dog hesitating in the distance, eyes fixed towards the mountain as a look of terror fell over him.

Balto froze, feeling the snow around him vibrating as his ears folded back in fright. His father gave only a momentary look of pain as he turned away and ran back into the safety of the rocks.

"Don't leave me! Don't-" Balto shouted, his voice lost to the roaring surge as it crashed down upon him with incredible speed.

He was helpless, tumbling, paws desperately grasping as his body was flung down the mountain. Terror filled him, pain surrounded him as he scrambled, limbs flailing as he desperately grasped for survival, senses overwhelmed.

Suddenly a pair of paws wrapped around his body as the wolf dogs tumbling seemed to slow.

"I have you! It's ok!" A comforting female voice called, her paws hugging around Balto as he breathed deep, feeling her gentle hold settle his frantic mind as the torrents around him settled to a calming flow.

Opening his eyes Balto was covered in snow, a light storm having swept across the woods as he slept.

Sitting up at his side was Aleu, her paws still holding tight as he panted.

"You're alright..." Aleu repeated, feeling Balto's heart finally settling from the vivid dream.

Balto let out a long sigh, his nerves only just stopping their jitters. Aleu let her muzzle push against him, hugging a little closer as she comforted her father from one of his nightmares.

It had been impossible for Balto to hide his troubles from Aleu as she grew up with him. He would sometimes wake her as he kicked, struggled and even shouted in his sleep. Past troubles, future worries always ready to hound him even as he slept.

"I'm sorry.. It's been awhile since I've had that dream..." Balto spoke, head falling back to the snow as he was forced to remember back to the day he lost his entire family, the day that he should have died on this very mountain.

Aleu kept her grip, letting a paw stroke down Balto's side as she lay her own head back into the soft bed of snow. She knew Balto was prone to worry, it did not help that he had said goodbye to Nome and the life he held there only hours ago. She knew it would hit harder on Balto than it did her.

"It's ok... we'll be over the mountain in the morning." Aleu reassured, letting herself relax after seeing Balto fully calmed.

Balto let his eyes close again, hoping to have a brief bit of rest before starting off again. They still had very far to go.

Balto and Aleu journeyed for a whole month, pressing their travels farther into the valley then they had ever before.

The journey was harsh but the wolf dogs were prepared. Days of struggle were rewarded with success as the wolf dogs gorged themselves and prepared for the hardest part of their lives.

It was strange for Balto, so many times he had journeyed into the wild, but now things were different. There was no home to return to, home was now wherever he and Aleu decided to bed down. Whenever Balto felt unsure he only had to look to Aleu, her confidence was inspiring. They knew this was their territory now, no other wolves had claimed it and only the occasional sled team made its way through. A good place to raise a family far away from the noise and drama of the town.

This journey helped remind Balto why he had not left Nome long ago. Alone he could never make this journey, a endless trek with no destination. But now he was with Aleu, their mutual support and love ready to keep them on track in their quest to start their new family.

Balto also took comfort in a strange sense of freedom he had not expected. In Nome he always worried about how other saw him, he tried to impress others and make a name for himself. But out here he only had one other to answer to. Here he was nothing but a scrappy wolf mutt with his mate, their future was their own to write.

Many nights Balto and Aleu would stay awake, talking about future plans, what to tell the pups about themselves and their past, how best to teach them the heritage they very much were entitled to.

The winter was starting to come to an end, the vague hints of spring coming through the still frozen land.

Aleu's appetite had grown, the younger wolf dog always on the hunt for something to eat. The wolf dogs would separate, sniffing through snowy fields for the hints at small game to sate them on their travels.

After lunging through the frozen grasses the young wolf dog came up with a winter hare in her jaws, proudly holding the kill.

But before turning Aleu froze in her tracks. Staring back only a short sprint away were four young wolves, only just nearing their first year.

The wind had been still, having led to the mutual surprise of the canines as they stared back to the lone she-wolf.

Balto wouldn't be far, but for now she needed to parley with these wolves to not appear weak. This could be deadly serious. These wolves were the first she had ever seen up close.

"HEY! Who are you!" One bold yearling shouted, stepping forward in an adolescent air of confidence.

Aleu let the hare fall from her jaws, its importance overshadowed by the encounter.

"I am Aleu, My mate is not far. We have staked claim here." Aleu spoke, knowing she needed to present herself with strength and determination to not be pushed around by a rival pack, such encounters could get very ugly if she did not remain on her guard.

As she spoke a fifth canine came out of the bushes. Aleu took immediate notice, his coat was solid, standing out amongst the young wolves at his side. He was a malamute dog, Aleu struggled to justify his presence. His fur was brown and tan, his muzzle and fur marked with streaks and patches of gray showing his age. What wolf pack would accept a dog like him? Looking closer she could now see these pups were not entirely wolf, small dog like features on them giving away a mixed lineage. This was very strange.

"Grandpa! We got company!" A yearling called to the older dog who trotted forward quickly.

"I know, stay behind me." The older dog spoke, stepping forward to protect the younger pups.

"Our pack seeks these lands, our numbers are strong." The old dog spoke, trying to size up the threat facing him.

"Yeah! We aren't scared of you!" A pup excitedly added, giving a little stomp with his paw.

Aleu wasn't sure how to respond, she knew there was more to this pack, none present were the alphas, there could be a dozen more. Regardless of their number life was going to get more complicated than expected for Balto and Aleu.

Hearing Balto dashing quickly to the scene Aleu stood her ground, once Balto arrived things could be better deliberated. For now Aleu choose to stand tall, not letting the mock threats of these pups dissuade her.

Bursting out of the snowy foliage Balto entered the scene, stopping just next to Aleu as he accessed the scene.

"Are you alright Aleu?" He asked quickly, worry having driven him to the foreign voices in the normally still woods.

"Yes, they claim this land too." Aleu stated.

"Yeah! There's seven of us!" A pup boasted, before being given a condescending look from the older dog for giving away their numbers.

Balto stepped forward to try to make peace with the obviously larger pack.

"I am sure we can come to an agreement, this valley is large and..."

Balto's speech was cut short, his eyes now landing on the dog amongst the wolves. The older dog's eyes were intently focused on him, a mix of disbelief and shock across him.

Breaking his guarded stance the older dog rushed forward, body low and nose sniffing across Balto before the male's eyes met again. Each of their noses told them what neither could believe.

"Balto? Is that you..?" The older dog trembled, eyes holding wide.

"Dad..? It... it is me..." Balto replied, muzzle holding open as he stared back to someone he was sure he would never see again.

Aleu stood shocked, along with the younger pups who all held their ears tall.

"It can't be... You died... I was SURE you died..." Balto's father spoke up, almost trying to justify himself to old hesitations.

"I don't know how... I made it out.." Balto simply responded, not sure how else to explain his miraculous survival that day, so many years ago.

"The avalanche... You were crushed... I saw... I was sure...I..." The older dog wavered, having difficulty going back to the memories of being too slow to save his last pup.

"Dad..." Balto choked as he spoke, reaching out a paw as he touched the old dog before pulling in and hugging him close.

"If I knew... I wouldn't have... I left you... I left you... to die... alone..." The older dog lost his composure, sniveling as he turned his graying muzzle away from the pup he had failed.

"It's ok dad... It's ok..." Balto attempted to reassure his father. In the past Balto had thought himself the discarded one, the pup least worth saving as he always felt unworthy of anything. It had taken time and maturity for the wolf dog to see things clearer.

"I woke up at the bottom of the mountain, I found my way back to town, I've lived there since, it's a long story." Balto smiled in amusement, hoping to dissipate the tension and regret filling the air. Now was a time to be happy, they would have much catching up to do with each other.

"It's been so long... you've really grown." Balto's father spoke, trying to bring his own spirits back up.

"Did the others make it too?" Balto asked, wanting to know the fate of his brothers and sisters.

"Yes, they grew up in the pack. I followed Kato when he dispersed, hes got me playing grandpa for his pups." Balto's father smiled, looking back to the yearlings who looked on with continued puzzlement.

"This is Aleu, my.. mate. We just left Nome and are looking for a place of our own." Balto said, stepping back to let the still stunned Aleu be properly introduced.

"I'm sure Kato would be glad to welcome you both into the pack, at least for the season. He has pups on the way too." Balto's father offered.

The thought was comforting to Balto, living with his brothers pack would be good for him and Aleu. Time to learn from more experienced wolves and raise their first pups with the support of an entire pack around them.

Balto's father simply sat looking to his long lost son, almost not believing this was actually happening.

Another pair of wolves made their way onto the scene, dashing through the woods as they emerged.

It was Kato, Balto's brother and a large female wolf, her heritage pure as they surveyed they odd scene before them.

"Balto...?" Kato spoke, stepping forward.

Balto simply smiled as his father did the same.

"Hello, Kato." Balto spoke, standing as tails wagged all around. Life was a far stranger place than Balto could have ever expected. He was thankful to have let things move forward, revealing so much he never thought possible. Life ahead would be tough, but it always would be his, and Aleu's.

Author's Notes: I wanted to give another chapter in this series to close things out to show what happened to them after leaving Nome.

While working on this I have been thinking and wanted to give some thoughts on this series.

Something that's kinda been bugging me, the story could still work without the incest themes. It could simply be Balto and Aleu bonding more platonically and deciding to leave Nome after they both are unable to find what they need in Nome.

In many ways Aleu is representative of Balto's lupine side. So when he finally gives in to the desire and embraces her, it's very much Balto accepting and embracing his lupine side.

I hope everyone enjoyed this series, I put a lot into it and writing the initial outlines to this are what first got me into writing on the site. I still have some ideas about a Balto prequal that goes into more detail about the past I partly revealed here. As always, let me know your thoughts about the chapter or the series as a whole.
