Jay leaned back into the sofa with a heavy sigh; the worn furniture beneath the panda creaked in return. The cacophony of sounds an ever expanding symphony of the panda's expansion. The score continued with labored breaths, occasional stifled belches, and soft moans.

To most furs, the state of this panda in particular would be into the TLC programming block regarding morbid obesity. For Jay, it was a pillar to his success - every inch of contrasting ebony and ivory fur sprawled and wobbled with his achievements. Every calorie desperately stuffed into his thick muzzle contributed and despite the quantity he regarded each one in building the quality of his body.

He closed his eyes and squirmed back into the sofa, once again creaking some pleasant groans from the crushed seating. His paws found themselves drawn to his sides. The thick digits gently rolling over the thick rolls adorning everything within his grasp. The once lithe bear, lithe for his species that is, had simply inflated - over the last two years he had put on nearly three hundred and fifty pounds. He breezed by the normal build of a panda and carried his weight in a heavy distribution between belly, ass, and thighs.

His body was packed with pliable fat that was soft to the touch but immensely heavy and draining to carry around all day. His arms had grown in size and, much like his thighs, were always in contact with another stretch of body.

Jay never intended to blow up. Nor did he intend to get addicted to consumption. Addicted to 'one more bite' and the empty feeling at the bottom of a spent ice cream carton. It started innocently enough, but over the last month he had reached a tipping point. Things were changing and it felt as though the beginning of these new chapters were signed in ink.

Jay had only been caught pushing full donuts into his muzzle a few times before the switch to working at home. His eyes tried hiding behind his glasses' lens as his cheeks flushed the fourth time it happened, cast in the shadow of his boss and shame. Something within the panda had awoken and it seemed the hunger called out for food but enough was never enough. He was just starved, always starved. He had managed to convince his employer that working from home full time would reduce costs and allow him to get more done. For his company the former was certainly true. The panda had been taking advantage of the break room snacks and 'free' coffee, which was always sugared to a near slurry.

One groggy afternoon, he found himself awaking in his bed with a stretch and lazy yawn. After taking a pawful of minutes to catch up on his personal email and social media, the panda rolled onto his side and stood up. He scrolled through his messages as he made his way into his bathroom, he reread the last conversation and felt his cheeks tickle as he smiled over the text.

Jay: ...really? You didn't even take half your meal, man.

Chase: Hah, I'm sure they're going to waste with you.

Jay: Shut up, you ass. I'm already fat enough, I don't need you forcing more food into my mouth.

Chase: Oooh, sounds like my kinda Friday night! ;)

Jay: ... ><

His mind ran through the laundry list of the late night meal he had grabbed with his coworker. Chase insisted on 'treating' himself for being so good with his diet and workout plan. After a bit of figurative and literal prodding, the Bernese mountain dog forced the panda to drive to a local fast food joint named Crisco's. Jay ordered his new normal meal which consisted of two over-stuffed double cheeseburgers, a large fry, and a milkshake. Chase had leaned over the panda from the passenger seat to order himself the same, along with a large onion ring and a thick slice of chocolate fudge cake.

Jay shut his eyes and felt his muzzle salivate slightly as he recounted the meal. He also didn't mind thinking of the dog stretching over him as rubbing his contrastingly firm torso against the rounded curve of the panda's belly. Once they had received their food, the canine had begun to pour over his phone. His paws rapidly typing in a message as he steered the panda towards his house. Jay remembered Chase mentioning something about an issue at their work, but the distracting scent of the food filling the SUV muted the conversation some. When they pulled up to Chase's house, the dog glanced into one of the bags and quickly hopped out. Once the panda got to his house, which was luckily only a few minutes away he realized his bag contained a spare burger, fries, and order of onion rings.

Had Jay cared enough to count, the meal he consumed exceeded 4,000 calories. A drop in the bucket, really. He actually found himself on the sofa afterward, popping cookies into his muzzle on commercial breaks. When he decided he should get in bed, he rocked forward and stood. As he did, the panda let out a groan and belch, flushing at his gassiness with a matching nervous chuckle. The burp was one thing but the bead of sweat that rolled over one of his temples and onto his cheek alarmed him. Sitting on the couch, in his air conditioned apartment, after a full meal had been his workout for the day and now we was sweating from it. Normal furs didn't sweat from simple movements... did they?

The memory of the bead of sweat caused Jay to sweat as he looked into the mirror. He looked past his square frames and over his curved, flushed cheeks to his chin - which already had a second gentle curve. The panda looked towards the shower and even went so far as to lift up and arm and take a whiff. A hint of musk but nothing overly offensive met his nose... really no need to waste some of his already-late workday with a shower. After all, he was working from home anyway; who was going to smell him this afternoon?

Jay's paws spanned over his swollen middle. He grunted as he drew in deep breaths once again, his lungs pinned back by his full midsection. The panda grinned as he simmered into his warm spot on the couch. His thermostat was set at his normal 65 °F, but his body produced enough heat to cause his pelt to grow slick with a bit of sweat. He pushed his legs out hoping to make a bit more room for his belly, the shift pulling a bit of his musk into the air. He flushed and pinned his ears back when he caught a whiff. He couldn't help it. Even fresh out of the shower the heavy panda now carried a slight musk on him at all times.

His embarrassment was interrupted with a chirp from his phone. One of the panda's paws patted around on the sofa beside which. His digits able to graze the inner edge of the firm three-fur sofa. He didn't need to turn and look to his other side to know he was placed in the middle of the sofa. The thought made him lick his muzzle and a soft whimper leapt from his throat: He was rapidly approaching a width that was reserved for construction machinery and small vehicles. His paw finally came across his phone, which had slipped partially under his hip. He navigated towards the messages, disregarding the other notifications from his various accounts.

Chase: You didn't manage to waddle to bed from the sofa, did you?

Chase: I bet you woke up, gasping for breath. Helpless on your ass. I bet you woke up hungry too.

Chase: I'm sure you already ordered take out. You do every day. I'm sure when I get home you'll still be planted there. Groaning and whimpering for belly rubs or help reaching a slice of pizza just out of grasp.

Each text bombarded his senses and sent a small jolt to his loins. It didn't help that they were so painfully accurate. Jay couldn't remember when he started a relationship with the berner, but it felt like it was a pairing that was already years old. Chase knew what Jay liked and Jay was everything Chase wanted: someone to grow.

Jay had moved out of his (shrinking) apartment and in with Chase. It just made more sense: it allowed Jay to be closer to food and the paws that delivered it very willingly. The act of consumption had completely consumed Jay. His work suffered. His social life suffered. He was documenting his massive weight gain on all the sites one would expect and relished the attention he deserved.

The messages and comments were almost as delicious as the food he stuffed into his muzzle. But not filled quite like Chase's. Every sentence was delivered with such surety and love. To anyone else reading it was seemingly abusive... but Chase had seen into Jay, more so than anyone had before. The panda was on a road that likely would've gotten to this point sooner or later, but having a pair of steady paws to help ease him onto his wobbly legs... or help rub and clean the wide expanses of panda bulk that was no longer feasible to reach on his own... all calmed Jay's anxieties about his seemingly destiny of expansion.

Chase: Did you pass out again, fatass? Or are you trying to shower again?

Jay muffled a belch into one of his meaty paws and arduously typed back: "I'm hungry."

He let out a series of pants and let his phone rest on his chest. The tablet sized phone was his connection to the outside world, his fans, and most importantly delivery.

Chase: ...and? The sky is blue. Tell me something new.

Jay huffed as he felt a pulse somewhere buried beneath his belly. He clicked the small microphone on the corner of the virtual keyboard and spoke, as it was much easier than typing these days.

"I need you. I need you to come home and feed me. I need help getting up. I-I need you."

With his paws free, the bear roamed over his sides once again. Each paw collected a roll of fat and gently kneaded away. Jay's dull claws scratched over the itchy, angry skin hidden under his spotted fur. With half-lidded eyes, a rumbling purr, and throbbing member he read the screen on his table-like chest:

Chase: There you go. That wasn't so hard. Well, I mean, it was probably hard to stop eating long enough to speak that at your tablet. ;)

Chase: Approved to work from home BTW. Hope you're enjoying your seat on the couch because you likely aren't getting too far from it ever again.
