Chapter 3: Let's not speak of this again

The next morning after a very passionate moment with each other in the shower, there came a knock on the door. Lilian's post mating bliss with her wolfman was interrupted as she froze in fear as she turned and pressed herself into Steele's furry robust chest in an attempt to conceal herself. "Are you in there Lilian?" her mother's voice rang through the door.

Steele cleared his throat and smirked. "What's wrong!?" he said in his deep loud voice.

"Oh, I'm sorry!" her mother shouted quickly in a meek voice.

Steele looked down at Lilian and smiled. "Oh, man... I just wanted to shower not get interrogated" he grumbled before he waited for her to leave his bedroom to lean in and whisper to Lilian who were red than a tomato, "Don't worry, she didn't catch us in the act".

She looked up at him and gulped. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have" she said before he winked at her.

"Don't be, How am I supposed to know if you're enjoying it if you stay quiet?" he asked.

She looked away. "I couldn't stay quiet if I tried. I just don't want mom to know what we're doing" she said.

He laughed. "I think she knows. She doesn't know when, but she knows what we are doing" he said before he shut off the water. He let out a heavy sigh and grinned while running his fingers over her hip as she huddled up to him. "Don't be worried" he said as he reached for a towel to wrap them both in.

She sighed heavily and backed up. "I'll try" she muttered before she gazed at his body with no remorse. "I never did this kind of thing in the shower, but I guess this will be the only time we can..." she said before he snickered evilly.

"Oh, I'm a lot more sly than you give me credit for" he said seductively.

She rolled her eyes at him. "More like you don't care if anyone sees or hears what you do" she said.

Steele laughed. "Well, that's true, but I knew you've wanted to get intimate with me for over a week. I wasn't going to let anyone stop you from getting the bonding time you wanted. With your parents wanting to stay here in my_resort_, you can just stay in my bedroom for a week" he said.

Her eyes narrowed upon him, and she smirked. "I see what you did...you sneaky devil! You've been using everything I told you about my mother to your advantage haven't you?" she asked.

He snickered lowly. "Well, it's not like you couldn't stay the week with me before, but I'm just being host" he said before he leaned into her ear. "I've been counting on your mother to cave in first. By the end of the week, I'll be a part of your family" he whispered into her ear.

She looked up at him and gulped. "Why do you want to do that?" she asked.

He ran his claws over her back. "It's not a part of my doing...I told you before didn't I? They want the best for you, and..." he said before she shuttered.

"I know, I know, I know" she said before she heard her mother knock on the door frantically.

"Steele! There are wolves out in your yard!" she shouted.

He let out a heavy sigh as he dried off his mate and himself. "Don't mind them, they live on my property" he said.

"You have wolves living on your property!?" she shrieked.

"Yes..." He said as he managed to put his pants on. He opened the door, and her mother blushed looking away not noticing her daughter's reflection in the mirror. "You're free to observe their den behavior" he said as he got his shirt on.

She looked at him anxiously as he walked out of his room. "But, what if we get attacked?" she asked.

He laughed as she followed him down the stairs. "They are afraid of humans...I've made sure of that" he said before he walked to the sliding glass door.

"What are you doing!? Are you crazy!?" she shouted.

He opened the door and smirked. "I've live here for a long time...this isn't the first time they've shown up" he said before he walked out onto the deck. The wolves looked over at him and rushed over to attack him as he sat down on the steps.

Lilian came down the stairs watching her parents look out the door in horror and confusion as they saw a lack of blood with the biting that were occurring. She walked out onto the deck with her arms crossed over her chest. "Steele, I know you're playing, but you're scaring my parents" she said before one of the bigger wolves jumped up onto her, and he were big enough to rest his paws onto her shoulders. He tried nipping at her hair, and she grabbed his paws trying to push him off. "Down!" she spoke harshly.

Steele looked back at her parents who stared at them with their jaws nearly dropped to the floor. He chuckled as he got up grabbing the bigger male on Lilian, and he threw him to the ground to the side. Steele got on top of the male grabbing him by the neck, which the male bared his teeth and growled trying to shake himself free. Steele growled back and released the wolf allowing him to get back up and run away. Steele took chase, and the pack followed behind.

Lilian came back inside and flipped her hair back, and her parents stared at her for almost an entire minute before her father broke the silence. "Does he do this often?" he asked.

Lilian let out a frustrated sigh. "Yea, he raised those wolves since they were pups. They are basically his kids" she explained.

Her father looked back outside. "Huh...So is this a European thing?" he asked.

Her mother gulped. "I don't want my grandkids to be wolves" she said.

Lilian let rolled her eyes. "Well, you're going to have wolves for grandkids, mom" she mumbled.

Her mother looked back at her worried as if her ideal picture of Steele were shattered. "Aren't you afraid of your kids being around wolves?" she asked.

Lilian glared at her. "Of course I would, but here's the thing mom...I don't have kids!" she raised her voice. She opened the door and walked back outside storming off towards Steele, which he stopped and the wolves stopped taking a submissive posture as an intense aura of anger were emitted from her. She got up into his face as best she could and jammed her finger into his side. "So much for trying to become a part of my family! You see what you've done? My mom thinks this place is dangerous!" she shouted.

Some of the wolves got on their backs exposing their bellies at her, and Steele shrugged. "So what? I'm not going to stop being me, and you can choose who you can be with. I didn't say that they were going to fall in love with me at the snap of a finger" he said before he touched her shoulder. "You're scaring our children" he said with a low chuckle.

She closed her eyes and tried to stay angry. "Do you ever shut those ears off?" she asked. He shook his head as she squatted down to rub the belly of the wolf that was still submitting to her, which she sighed heavily feeling up the silky fur. "I'm sorry buddy" she told the wolf before she looked back at Steele. "Well, can you at least let me know what they are talking about?" she asked.

He snickered to himself. "Your dad is trying to convince your mom that my wolves are domesticated, and your mom is trying to convince your dad that my wolves are going to gobble up children...she's sounds like she has lupophobia" he said as he tried not looking at them directly.

She nodded as she looked back up at him curiously. "You can already tell?" she asked.

He nodded. "I figured that out when she kept bargaining in my room looking for you, and I can smell the fear sweat from her. Yea, I was very hard not to notice for me" he said as he crossed his arms over his chest. "Phobias are hard to break...I'm sure going to have to expose her to the wolves more" he said.

She looked at him annoyed. "Absolutely not!" she raised her voice. "First off, you're not a psychologist! Second, you're not going to be letting you traumatize my mother! She's not around wolves much as it is, and lastly, she has to want to change...she's a very opinionated person" she said.

He cleared his throat. "Well, how will she handle her grandchild transforming right in front of her? You know she's going to want to see her grandkids once you decide to get settled down" he said.

She looked at him sternly. "Still no! I'm not going to be having kids for a long time so don't be..." she said before he held his hand up.

"I'm not going to be locking her up in a room with wolves, do you know how incredibly horrible and counterproductive that is? I'm reasonable" He said firmly. She let out a heavy sigh before he scratched the back of his head. "I was going to use one wolf" he said. She glared at him and swung her fist into in his gut. "Ooofff, I'm only joking. You know that" he said.

She glared at him. "Sometimes your jokes aren't funny. You don't joke about that kind of thing!" she said firmly. She looked at her fist and rubbed it gingerly. "Did you even feel that?" she asked.

He raised an eyebrow. "Of course I did...though next time use and open hand" he said before she did just that, but she lifted his shirt making a swift contact with his flesh. He yelped and rubbed the red handprint on his side. "Ouch! Why'd you lift my shirt!? That really hurts!" he shouted.

She smirked sadistically. "Whatever's effective, besides dear...you talk too much" she said as she turned around. She walked off giving some sway in her hips, and she flipped her hair back. "Thanks for the advice!" she shouted back triumphantly.

He ran his fingers over the handprint, which he quickly began to smirk at it. "You forgot to kiss my owie!" he said.

She stopped looking back at him. "Kiss my ass wolf boy! I'm not your mommy! Now I could find the stickiest of Band-Aids and place it on all that hair" she said with an evil grin.

He quickly covered his mark defensively and gasped horrified. "You wouldn't!" he shouted quickly.

She winked at him. "Try me...just try me" she said before she continued onward humming to herself. She looked back at him sternly. "Coming dear?" she asked.

He stared at her before he looked at the wolves that were growing a deep respect for Lilian's wrath. He shook scowled at them and walked off. "Yes, I'm coming" he said. As he walked back inside, her parents were looking between them and laughed as Steele kept rubbing at his sore spot. "That smarts!" he muttered.

Later in the week, Steele had started to integrate with the family, and her mother kept her distance from the wolves. Steele made sure to dispel some misconceptions about them, which her mother remained quiet about her anxieties already having seen her daughter and his interaction with the wild wolf pack outside. The upcoming climbing adventure was the perfect opportunity for her father to find this out just how much he could trust in Steele.

They made the long four hour journey up north to her parents' home in a gated community house in Bonney Lake. Steele left with her father for the fourteen thousand foot mountain that loomed many miles behind their home. It took a couple hours to get to their starting point, but soon they were met with Lawrence's buddies from the Boeing plant. As they got out, all eyes looked up at Steele ogling the man's stature.

"So he's our guide?" Lawrence's buddy asked. His teenage sons kept their distance from him not wanting to be noticed with their staring.

Lawrence nodded and slapped Steele's back hard. "He's dating my daughter" he said proudly.

His buddy nodded and went to gathering his gear. Steele packed on a lot of gear, which this only drawn back their attention as he were weighed down with over fifty pounds in gear. "Uh, Steele, are you sure you need all that gear?" Lawrence asked.

Steele looked back at them and laughed. "We're setting up camp near the summit right? Got to bring food along" he said.

"So you're bringing a propane grill?" Lawrence's buddy asked with a smug grin.

Steele scratched his head. "It's a portable grill" he said as he strapped a bunch of water canteens to his chest.

Lawrence raised an eyebrow. "You're taking the whole campsite with you?" he asked.

Steele snickered. "Just my part...I am a large man in case you haven't noticed" he said before he closed the tailgate to his truck. "Now, let's get started shall we?" he asked.

Lawrence looked towards the others who spent their entire time staring at Steele, and they had hardly gotten their trunks to their cars open let alone have their gear on. "Steele, hold your horses! We still haven't gotten ready yet!" he said embarrassed.

Steele started doing squats and stretches. "No problem, I'll get myself stretched out then" he said.

Lawrence shook his head and went back to getting ready as the others tried their best to avoid the huge distraction. When they got ready, Steele was already across the road, and a thousand feet down the trail walking back. "Steele! What the hell are you doing!?" he shouted.

"Warming up!" Steele shouted back.

Lawrence looked back at his buddy and grabbed onto his forehead vigorously. "Stop! Just stop!" he shouted.

His buddy snickered. "This guy has a lot of energy" he commented.

"Yeah, I'm getting tired watching him" Lawrence remarked.

The teens were already going off ahead following Steele's example, and they stopped looking back once they caught up with Steele. Steele grabbed started giving them tips on how to fall down the mountain if they slipped. They were surprised at how Steele could move without being winded, but they tried hiding it making them need to gasp for breath more. They began their ascent, and Steele led the whole way. Lawrence and his climbing party were gasping and grunting, and Steele would stop frequently to look back on them. He studied their faces and posture looking for any signs of altitude sickness.

They stopped at Camp Muir to rest, which Steele opted to camp outside in a large tent. He pulled his futon and made his bed before he came back out to start preparing meals. Other climbers joined him excited at the convenience of a propane grill and Steele cooking prowess, which a wide assortment of meals was made thanks to the food brought along with the other thirty people.

Lawrence ran his fork over the dumplings confused, and he looked up at Steele having a conversation with a Liechtensteiner and Austrian college students in what he assumed was in the German language, but he was sensing some French, which the students would laugh at him whenever he switched over. He cleared his throat after he heard him mention Zurich, which he thought he would chime in. "I didn't know you were Swiss..." he said.

Steele smirked. "I am, but I was raised in Feldberg, Deutschland" he said.

"Where's that at?" Lawrence asked.

"The black forest" The Liechtensteiner said quickly.

Steele pointed at him and smirked. "Ja, he's got it. Actually my home now is at a similar elevation as it was back in my home country. You can say I was built for this environment" he said patting his stomach.

Lawrence smirked. "I already know this" he said before he took a bite from the dumplings, and he gasped. "Oh wow! That's really good! I didn't think you could cook dumplings with a propane grill" he said.

Steele grinned. "I didn't, I premade them you nosy" he said before he looked over at the teens. "Hey, point that away from your fa..." he shouted before the boys got condiments exploded into their faces. Everyone laughed at the boys' misfortune, which they glared at them trying to wipe their faces clean. "Didn't you know that the pressure here is four hundred hectopascals lower than it is at sea level where you bought it? What did you think was going to happen?" he lectured them.

They quietly squirted what were left of their condiments onto their hot dogs finding the idea of eating deer meat to be gross. Steele shook his head at them finding their choice in meals to be the contrary.

Later in the evening after everyone retired to their tents, Steele decided to go for a midnight stroll. The waning crescent moon was at his back, and he looked up at the lenticular cloud above descending lower. He took off, and an hour later he made it to the summit. He panted heavily as the strong wind blew, and he could smell Lilian's scent. It was faint, but his instincts overrode him, and he took a deep breath to let out a loud long mighty howl.

A couple minutes later at the home in Bonney Lake, Lilian sat on the deck reading an erotic werewolf novel when she heard the howl off in the distance. It felt like it was ingrained in her being knowing that it belonged to Steele. To her shock, there was a very close howl, which she sat her book down to walk over to the fence.

"What are you doing?" She asked as she climbed the fence to peer over.

The recluse of a neighbor flinched before he cleared his throat. "Sorry, I thought I heard something" he said.

She scowled at him. "Steele's serenading me" she scolded him. She shook her head at him. "You act like a thrall! You know how many people you've woken up!?" she continued to castigate him.

He stared at her speechless as another howl came from the mountain. "Look, I'm sorry...I thought you didn't know he was a..." he said before she growled at him.

"So you howl? Real fucking clever of you! Who the hell do you think you are trying to butt into my relationship with him! You don't think I can handle him!? Do you think I'm not good enough for him!?" she raised her voice.

"No! No! No! You got me all wrong" he said timidly.

She grumbled to herself as her mother came out in her robe. "Lilian? What's going on?" she asked. Lilian looked back at her as she picked up the novel, and she cringed. "What is this!? Werewolf Porn?" she shrieked.

Lilian's eye twitched. "Mom! It's not porn! It's...got a decent plot line!" she raised her voice.

The neighbor blushed and wondered back inside his home as he overheard the argument. "Why can't you be a normal woman and be into those vampire books? Their so classy and sophisticated..." she said before Lilian stormed over to snatch her smut from her mother.

"I like some warm and alive in my bed mom! If you know wolves like I do, then you know they make perfect fathers! Did you ever think of that!?" she ranted before her mother heard the howling as well.

"What's that?" she asked.

"My boyfriend is calling me...he misses me" Lilian muttered as she walked back inside. Her mother looked at her strangely before she followed her daughter back inside. Lilian walked into the guest room and opened the window standing silent with her head resting against the window jamb. She looked at her book before she closed her eyes. "This is stupid..." she muttered. She gathered the courage to release a howl of her own.

She waited a couple seconds before she let out a heavy disappointed sigh and walked over to her bed before the howl was returned. She looked back and smiled happily as she sat on the edge of her bed. She reached over to turn on the lamp on the night stand and cracked open her book. "Mr. Lupine has nothing on you big guy" she muttered.

Her mother cracked the door open and poked her head in. "Lilly?" she asked meekly. Lilian looked up at her wearily, and her mother stepped inside. She looked into her daughter's eyes carefully as she processed what her choice in words was going to be. She reached over to adjust a picture frame of their family photo. "You know I only want what's best for you" she said before she stared at the picture. "Are we going to fit Steele in our family photo? I don't like feeling short" she said before she giggled to herself.

She looked back at her and sat next to her on the bed. "You found yourself a very nice man. He's an amazing cook, fit, respectful, intelligent...well off. I think they overcome any of his flaws" she said before she let off a weary sigh. "At least you can understand him" she said. She closed her eyes smirking. "I can't understand his pronunciation or when he's joking or not" she said.

Lilian smirked. "Mom, no one can tell when he's joking, except Haley's dad...and that's after he's drank a few beers" she said.

Her mother stood back up and looked towards the window as a chorus of howls echoed through the area, and she closed the window. "You're letting the hot air in..." she muttered before she turned back to leave. "Good night, Lilly" she said as she closed the door delicately.

Lilian lay on her back and piled her pillows up, and she turned towards the window. "I hope you go to sleep you stupid wolfman!" she said before she went back to reading.

Back on the mountain, Steele smirked at the uproar in howls he spawned, and he turned back to return to his campsite. He ran down the steep slope and leaped over deep crevasses and ridges before he slid to a halt at the site. The college students stared at him as he came out of the fog and nearly ran them over. He patted the young Austrian woman on the shoulder. "Sorry, did I wake you?" he asked.

"You have a very powerful howl" she said impressed.

Steele smirked looking at the Liechtensteiner who trembled in his boots. "Nice doggy" he said timidly.

He stared at him before he glanced over at her. "Is he...alright?" he asked.

She nodded. "Oh, he just had a nightmare. We know you're not that kind of wolf. Right?" she said before she nudged him.

He gulped. "I just hope he doesn't change his mind when he gets hungry" he said.

Steele laughed. "One ibex wouldn't be enough to feed me. I doubt you'd be any different" he said before he walked passed him. "It's okay to be scared...I'm not offended" he told him. He continued to his tent and removed his gear, which he plopped onto his sleeping bag and turned out the light. "I've been snacking the entire time. There won't be any feeding frenzies on the mountain today" he said.

The Liechtensteiner looked towards the woman and sighed when she touched his fluttered her eyes at him. "Let's get back to bed" she said before she led him back to their tent.

The next morning, after everyone ate and took apart the camp site, they began to put on spikes for their feet and helmets, while Steele began to thread rope around them. "I'm going to be first" he said sternly.

Lawrence's buddy cleared his throat. "Shouldn't we have the boy's up front? They are a lot lighter, and they have plenty of experience. You are weighed down quite a lot, it should only make sense for you to be at the back" he said.

The teens looked at him as if they had something to prove to him. Steele looked at them sternly as he felt extremely uncomfortable with the decision. "I'd rather not have to stop all you going freeway speeds down...you know what? Fine, I'll be at the back" he said finally giving into them. The teens grew excited with their chance, and Steele looked towards Lawrence extremely annoyed, which Lawrence looked away hiding his fear.

They made their way up the mountain with Steele at the end of the rope, and Lawrence was second from behind. He looked back at Steele nervously noting how incredibly annoyed he was, but somehow, Steele managed to get passed him and pulled at him to go faster. "Steele! Can you hold up!?" he shouted. Steele looked back at him coldly before Lawrence flinched. "Okay, I'll speed things up" he said timidly.

Steele watched the boys at the front growing weak, and he looked back at the crevasse behind them. He took off ahead and began dragging Lawrence up with him, just as the boy up front passed out and took a tumble knocking the boy behind over. Lawrence gasped as his buddy was taken out by the rope, and he looked up at Steele horrified as his life flashed before his eyes.

The rope yanked Lawrence from his ice axe, and the Lawrence watched the rope pull on Steele and the picks broke off; however, their speed was greatly reduced. Steele's gloves shredded and his jacket tore at the seams as he transformed fifty percent into his wolf form as his claws dug into the ice slowing their fall until Lawrence looked back at the two boy dangling in the crevasse from the rope, and the father having been knocked unconscious hitting his head on the ice.

Lawrence's heart pounded as Steele drug them up using his immense werewolf strength and thick sharp claw for traction. He then assisted Steele by hauling himself up relieving his weight from Steele's rescue effort. Lawrence collapsed as he bared weight on his other leg and screamed out in agony. He grabbed at it as still tried crawling but with little effect.

As the last unconscious body was pulled from the crevasse, Steele reverted to his human form, and he walked down the mountain to check on the other three. Other climbers rushed to their aid, which Lawrence's buddy had a concussion, dislocated shoulder, and broken collar bone, and his youngest son suffered from broken ribs and a broken leg. The eldest son was not responding, and Steele grew angry with himself before the son made a gasp for breath. He reached up grabbing Steele's ripped up jacket and could not even hold onto him.

"We need to get them down the mountain!" One shouted.

Lawrence looked towards Steele while grabbing onto his knee and frowned. "We should have listened to you" he said as the pain drew him to tears.

Steele looked over at him sternly as he climbed up to him. "Are you alright?" he asked.

Lawrence shook his head. "I think I blew out my knee" he said.

Steele punched ripped open Lawrence's windbreaker and applied ice to his knee. "Keep putting ice on that and don't move alright?" he asked. Lawrence nodded, and he kept the ice on his knee as Steele tended to his buddy as he woke up.

After the climbing party was flown to the hospital by helicopter, Steele rushed down the mountain to his truck to drive all the way to the hospital. Once he got to the hospital, Lilian and her mother were in the lobby, which Lilian ran up to him giving him a big hug. Her mother was very surprised to see Steele's ripped up clothing with absence of injuries.

They wondered around and everywhere Steele drew a lot of attention. Lilian quietly held onto his hand and stayed very close to him. When they got inside Lawrence's room, he was on a morphine drip, and he looked over at them happily. "Lawrence!" her mother called out to him. She rushed over to his side and grabbed onto his hand. "What on earth happened to you?" she asked.

Lawrence looked over at Steele and smiled. "Steele saved our lives..." he said before he scratched at the brace on his knee. "If only we listened to him, we wouldn't have gotten in this mess. Ooowheee! He was pissed the whole entire time. He sure I knew it was stupid, but at least he knew how to keep us from dying!" he said sounding to be a bit loopy from the drugs.

He grabbed at Steele and pulled him over to his face. "Does Lilly know about you turning into a werewolf and all?" he whispered into his ear. Steele nodded before he patted his back. "Let's not speak of this again" he said before he looked towards his daughter. "Can I have a moment alone with Lilian?" he asked.

He looked towards his wife sternly before he heard Steele's stomach growl, which he looked up at him nervously. He watched Steele anxiously as he left the room with his wife before he cleared his throat. "Close the door" he told Lilian. Lilian frowned noticing her father's change in mood, and she rushed over to close the door before spinning around to lean up against it.

He stared at her in disbelief. "How long have you known that he was a werewolf?" he asked.

She blushed and looked at her feet. "Um, a little over a week now" she said before she looked up at him quickly. "He's quite tame...he's pretty much the same now as he is in wolf form" she said nervously.

He looked at his leg and sighed. "Yea, well, I'm just worried about what kind of trouble he brings. He draws so much attention that he could attract what other monsters there are out there!" he said.

She took in a deep breath. "Dad...I've been around werewolves for nearly ten years now. Nothing happened then and..." she said before she raised an eyebrow. "You aren't blaming this accident on him are you?" she asked.

He stared at her in confusion. "What? No! He made this accident turn out with a happy ending. All I'm saying is that unless all werewolves are seven feet tall, he's going to stick out like a sore thumb" he said.

"Dad! Stop! If that were the case my friend's dad would have had the same problems. Plus, you can't just assume a guy tat's seven feet is automatically a werewolf or supernatural. You didn't think anything until he transformed right in front of you, right?" she retorted.

He cleared his throat and coughed. "Look, I'm not a werewolf or supernatural monster who's better equipped to noticing it...hell, I bet better trained humans can figure him out a hell lot faster than you and I" he said.

She sighed heavily. "Yea, well...the government is all up in his business. I wouldn't be surprised if they try to get involved with this. People did see him transform right?" she asked.

He raised an eyebrow and nodded slowly. "There were, but...wait is this some sort of Men in Black people?" he asked.

She nodded and closed her eyes. "I would only guess that you'll be under surveillance now that you know about him. I don't think they have any control over what he does though, but I'm sure they'll sweep this under the rug like the other things that have happened" she said.

His eyes widened. "Like what?" he asked.

She frowned. "What do you mean like what?" she asked pretending to be oblivious.

He scowled at her. "The other things that happened?" he asked.

Meanwhile in the cafeteria, Steele was with her mother chowing down on the healthy hospital food. Her mother was very pleased that he bought her lunch, and she munched happily on an egg sandwich. He dug into the big meatloaf entrée, which he had requested three portion sizes, and the cooks did not object to it.

Her mother sat her bottle of cranberry juice down and smiled. "Do you know what makes a long lasting relationship?" she asked.

Steele looked at her curiously and thought for a moment. "I have a few ideas, but what have you found out?" he asked.

She smiled. "Make your mother-in-law happy" she said before she snickered.

Steele smirked at her. "Mother-in-law you say?" he said before he leaned in. "Please correct me if I'm wrong, but are you suggesting that you've grown comfortable with me being a part of your family?" he asked.

She closed her eyes and took in a deep breath. "Yes, I have already told Lilly that it was okay for her to move in with you" she said before she focused her eyes on him intensely. "I have very high standards, and you should feel honored to have my blessings" she said as a smile crept on her face. "You are mama approved" she said.

A group of men in black suits entered the cafeteria, which they took strategic positions as Don, their leader, approached them. Lilian's mother grew extremely nervous as Don placed a hand on his shoulder and whispered into his ear, "Finish up, alright?" Steele nodded, and Don slapped him in the side before a woman walked in with files pressed into her chest.

"Here are the files you requested" she said panting as she held out the files, which Lilian's mother caught her name on one of them.

"What's my name doing on that file!?" she shrieked.

"Thank you, winter" he said as he sat down at the table to give them a thorough examination.

Lilian's mother quickly stood up, and the woman blocked her off. "Ma'am, we're in the middle of an investigation" she said sternly.

Lilian's mother looked over at Steele who were too focused on his meal than he were with the government agents swarmed around him. "Steele? What's going on?" she asked.

Steele looked up at her blankly. "Uh, an investigation apparently" he said.

She grew irritated with him and growled. "Are you working for some top secret agency?" she asked.

Steele shook his head. "No, I don't work for an agency. I'm just a liaison" he said calmly. He finished his meal and put the trays away before he walked back to the cashier where he had to wait in a line of other agents attempting to buy a snack. He groaned noticing that the agents were all paying in cash and the cashier were very clumsy and dropped change on the floor. He stood in line with his arms crossed, and he tapped his foot anxiously.

Once the last person got up he eyed the desert rack and was very disappointed in the selection. He stared at the man intensely as he took the last macadamia nut cookie, which he wanted. The man forgot about the sales tax and spent more time trying to figure out what to leave behind. He were about to leave the cookie behind before his buddy came up to spot him the sales tax then proceeded to tack on items for himself, and Steele clenched his fist before he grabbed onto the queue manager pole about to lift it when the cashier cleared her throat.

"Excuse me! But you're going to have to wait in the back of the line! This gentleman has been waiting for a long time!" she lectured the man's buddy. Steele released the pole, and Don looked up at the man's buddy extremely annoyed.

"Ebb! A word with you please!" he shouted. Ebb flinched and briskly walked over to Don. "Did you just try to jump the queue!?" he shouted as he pointed at Steele. "Don't you ever impede a werewolf from getting his food! Do you know what he was about to do with that shaft!?" he spoke to him severely. He cleared his throat and stood up. "Let's get going, Steele" he said as he motioned for his men to leave.

Meanwhile, in Lawrence's room, there was a knock at the door, which Lilian opened the door slowly. Steele stood behind the group of men munching on a blueberry muffin, while they kept her mother back. Don ushered Steele back inside, and one of the men touched Lilian's shoulder causing Steele to growl at him. Don quickly looked over at Lilian and held his hand out to his men. "Don't bother, she's already initiated" he said firmly.

They left her alone, and as Steele snuck in and draped his arms over her shoulders protectively. She looked at the muffin in his hand and sighed. "Eat your muffin. I don't want to wear it!" she muttered.

Don looked at the frightened man in the bed and sighed pulling out a chair and sat between him and the table. "Lawrence Wolf, Age 55...Married 25 years to Ji-Hyeon daughter of a Korean national and an American war hero..." he said before he tossed Lawrence and his wife's file on the table. "Sounds like you've married into a family that has no problems mixing things up a bit...I hope you aren't someone who will stir up the pot" he said before he gestured towards Steele.

He gulped and shook his head. "Please don't tell my wife about this" he said.

Don smirked. "This is just a simple climbing incident inquiry; moreover, we have to discuss about your future involvement with werewolves. I don't want to have to remind you of these simple rules" he said before Lawrence nodded quickly. "Do not speak about or allude to the occult to the uninitiated and especially to hunters. Do not take pictures or video of the occult and/or distribute them. Do not interfere with supernatural affairs" he finished.

"How will I know who's initiated?" he asked.

Don smirked. "You don't...never assume someone is initiated. The only one you know who is as such is your daughter. She is a human you know who's intrinsically involved with the supernatural community..." he said before Lilian chimed in.

"What ever happened to that little werewolf girl?" she asked.

He adjusted his sunglasses. "We had to remove her from her guardians' care. I've already spoken to Steele about a pack willing to adopt, and he mentioned Bernie would be perfect for the task" he said.

Lawrence gasped. "Bernie's a werewolf too?" he shouted before they all glared at him. He shook his head and sighed. "I should have known..." he said.

Steele glared his throat. "It's going to take some convincing, but Yvonne loves pups" he said before he looked towards Lilian. "Wouldn't you agree?" he asked.

She nodded before she fiddled with her fingers. "If I had more experience with werewolf pups, I would make you reconsider, but they are great parents. Haley is a great big sister" she said. Steele nodded before she looked back at Don curiously. "What about the other girls? Did they contract lycanthropy?" she asked.

Don sighed. "We don't know yet, but one is showing symptoms. The girl you patched up has already healed" she said before Steele raised an eyebrow, and Don was quick to take notice. "Her parents are not suitable for taking care of her either..." he brought up.

Steele sighed. "I'm going to have to figure this out. We have other great families, but I don't want to take her away from wolves she's already developed trust with. Bernie could take two in, but I don't know what's going on with Haley" he said before Lilian coughed.

"Ahem! Haley is not ready to be settling down, and there's no room in the..." she said before she paused and stared at Steele who gave her a big grin. "...Steele, come on...Haley isn't..." she said blushing knowing he knew about her conversation with her mother to move in with him.

"We'll have to ask her..." he said.

She gulped and nodded slowly. "O-okay" she said nervously.

Lawrence looked between them and sighed. "Lilly, are you going to become a werewolf?" he asked nervously.

She paused and looked up at Steele who cleverly stuffed the muffin into his mouth and put his hands up not wanting any part of the conversation. She let out a heavy sigh as she thought about raising werewolf children as a human. "It's going to happen I guess...but not anytime soon" she said.

Steele nodded with agreement with his cheeks bulging with muffin goodness, and she looked back at him shaking her head with a smirk finding his avoidance technique to be adorable. "We are still figuring things out. I pretty sure that there's no cure to lycanthropy, is there?" she asked.

Steele shook his head quickly before he finally swallowed. "No, It mutates too quickly to even make vaccines useful" he said before he smiled. "It's permanent, though living longer isn't too bad, but my quality of life is lowering. I couldn't deal with being in the city. I don't like being crammed in tight spaces, and it's getting harder and harder for me to do what I want without having to worry about people taking pictures with their cameras and such" he said.

Don adjusted his glasses. "Yes, we've been having problems keeping up with advancements in technology. This is impacting everyone in the supernatural community. If humans found out about them, their natural reaction is to fear them. There is no education on the matter, so you can imagine the witch hunts that could occur if this got out' he said.

He sighed heavily. "We still have problems with hunters. We cannot directly charge them with murder on the account that we have to conceal the victim's existence of being supernatural. No evidence won't give you a conviction or indicted. They got some pretty good lawyers too" he mentioned.

Steele sighed heavily. "Yea, I've had problems with hunters before" he said before Lilian touched his hand. "It is refreshing to know that humans can still seek romance with us even when knowing what we are and are capable of" he said.

She smiled at him and squeezed his hand. "Humans are capable in killing each other. I think Dad knows how much of a blessing you are to this family. You've save both of our lives and countless others...that's pretty much the opposite of what your kind is rumored to do" she said.

Lawrence looked between them and saw the love between his daughter and the werewolf, and he smiled at them. "Yes, you are a blessing our family" he said happily.

Don smirked. "Good, then I shall leave you to your big happy family" he said half sarcastically. He sighed heavily before he looked over at him sternly. "You saw nothing on that mountain...got it?" he spoke harshly. Lawrence nodded as Don left the room motioning for his men to leave.

Lilian's mother rushed in and looked over at her daughter cozied up to Steele before she looked towards her husband who appeared dazed. "Honey! What's going on?" she asked. She crossed her arms over her chest and frowned. "Government agents don't show up to investigate a climbing accident!" she said.

Lawrence sighed heavily. "You wouldn't believe it even if I told you" he said.

She scowled at him. "Try me!" she spoke harshly.

He gulped before he took a deep breath. "A werewolf saved us on the mountain" he said looking towards the door nervously thinking Don was going to barge in at any time.

Her eye twitched. "You're right...I don't believe you" she said before she focused onto Steele. "He must have bonked his head hard. Did you see a werewolf?" she asked.

Steele laughed nervously and rubbed the back of his head. "No, I didn't see one" he said before he closed his eyes holding back his amusement as he put up a stern façade. "I did hear howling last night. I know my wolves and that howl was much too deep" he said.

Lilian slid behind him in order to give him a rewarding shoulder rub as her mother looked at her. "I did hear howling last night, but...you must be mistaken. Where's the proof?" she asked.

Lilian dug a knuckle into the vertebra in the base of Steele's neck. "Don't" she said in a low authoritative tone. He felt it and winced subtly before she went back to displaying her endearment towards him.

He cleared his throat. "It's hard to show proof when that government entity is there to conceal the existence to separate human life with the supernatural life" he said before let off a groan as she hit a tight spot. "Oh, right there...that's been killing me for a while" he said.

She giggled. "Every place is so rock hard, but that's diamond hard, big guy" she said before she patted the side of his trunk. "I'm going to have to work on you for a couple hours at least" she said.

He chuckled deeply. "Yea, I didn't come off the mountain unscathed" he said.

She smirked as she felt up more of his back and bit her lip. "You must be in a lot of pain right now" she remarked.

He looked back at her curiously, and she looked up at him intensely. Her scent made it very clear that she wanted to get intimate with him. "I can bear the pain a while longer...I just wanted to know your father was okay" he said before her mother smiled at them.

"You can go home and relax. Thank you, Steele. We're going to check up on the others. You look like you need the rest" she said happily.

He smiled. "It's not a problem at all, just let me know how the others are doing" he said.

They left the hospital for her parents' home as Lilian felt his arm and chest while he drove back. The closer they got the lower she explored his body, but she skipped over to feel his thigh grinning at being such a tease as they pulled into the driveway. She pulled him down to plant a peck on the cheek followed by a tender petting on his chest. "Let's get you fixed up, Mr. Wolfman" she said.

He murred softly, while he turned off the truck. He planted a smooch on her lips, and she touched the side of his face caressing his jawline getting lost in the fire growing out of control within them. She pushed him back and sighed happily while flipping her hair over her shoulder. She got out giving him a look of yearning, which he quickly got out as she walked to the doors fiddling around to find the keys. Her heart was racing, and she looked behind to see the large intimidating man watching her very closely. She dropped her keys accidently and laughed to herself as he bent down to pick them up for her. He placed a hand on her plushy rear as he stood back up before he gave it a good feel.

She looked up at him and with a seductive gaze as he unlocked the door. "Take a shower...don't bother putting any clothes on after" she said as they walked in. She returned his feel with a feel of her own on his firm derriere. "I'm going to get some things" she said before she wondered off into the hall closet.

He went in to take a quick shower, and he entered the guest room after he dried himself off. His mate stood waiting in the nude pointing to the bed. "Lay on your belly, hun" she said as she pulled out a bottle of oil rubbing some onto her hands.

He lay on his stomach as she crawled on top of him soon after. She ran her hands over his back and worked very diligently on the knots in his back. "My goodness, hun, did this all happen because you saving my dad and his buddies?" she asked.

He took in a deep breath and sighed. "Well, I transformed too quickly. You can understand that transformations themselves put stress on the body especially when done like what I did. I have to tense up to speed things up and..." he said before she frowned.

"Did you have that same problem lifting the tree off from me?" she asked.

He chuckled to himself. "Yea, but it was not as fast as what I did on the mountain" he said as he looked back at her rubbing more oil onto her hands and also onto the front portion of her body. "Oh, this is different" he said happily.

She smirked lying on top of him while rubbing her body against his back. "I read about this in a magazine...do you like it?" she asked as she massaged his arms.

He snickered to himself. "Yea, I feel very spoiled" he said. She began to use more vigor into his shoulders trying her best to pop his back with the massage.

"Wow, your back is really strong...I can't believe you're almost ninety years old" she said as she put all her weight into a heave on his back and it finally popped.

"Oh ya! That's the way" he said.

She stared at cleared her throat. "I'm going to have to jump on your back...I'm going to hurt myself doing it this way" she muttered.

He chuckled to himself. "It can wait. You've got yourself all lubed up for me, and I got something waiting for you once I turn over" he said.

She blushed and feigned a cough. "Well, it's going to have to wait, big guy. You're just going to have to hold onto that bone of yours a while longer" she said as she stood up onto his back. She started bouncing before she hopped along his spine popping many bones in his back. She snickered to herself feeling great pride at her achievement. "I can tell you've never had a massage in a while" she said.

He looked back the sight of a nude woman jumping on his back. "Well, I've had them in the past...just never had them like this before. Though, I'm going to prefer them to be done this way from now on" he said before he cleared his throat. "With my human nurse girlfriend with those great hips" he said.

She raised an eyebrow and smirked as she slammed her rear into his back crackling many bones in his shouldered before she wrapped her legs around his head and looked down at him. "Turn over now" she said, which she were no match for him as she were flipped off his back, and she giggled laying on her side beside him looking into his eyes deeply. "Was that even hard for you?" she asked.

He snickered. "Nope...only thing hard is my..." he said before she placed a hand onto his mouth as she looked down his body and all of its majesty.

She climbed up on top of him and tried maneuvering herself around his very big growing problem. She leaned in to plant a kiss upon his lips as she continued his massage smirking as her reenactment of her favorite part in her novel were coming to fruition. "Yes, I know...I'm going to get you your happy ending, just be patient" she said softly.

After a while the massage turned sensual, and she played and teased him making him grow more needy and frustrated. Just before they achieved coitus, he reached up stopping her, which she looked at him oddly. "What's up?" she asked.

He looked off towards the window. "Your parents are here" he said.

She looked towards the window hearing her mother's car pull into the driveway. "Shit..." She grumbled to herself. She thought for a moment as the front door opened and her mother fluttered about the floors while on her cell phone.

There were a knock on the door and Lilian froze up like a statue; however, her mother did not open the door. "I'm going to be gone for the night. They are taking your father in for knee surgery" she said.

Lilian gulped looking down at her boyfriend and sighed. "O-okay" she muttered.

Her mother sighed heavily. "I would really appreciate it if you and Steele help out with chores and shopping. I'll leave a list on the counter before I leave...oh, by the way and your auntie says hi" she said before she walked off.

Steele looked up at Lilian and took a deep breath as he ran his hand over her hip, which she closed her eyes to calm herself. "Let's just do this babe...I've not gotten a proper moment with you in forever" she said lowly while she reached down to stroke his jawline.

He eased up and allowed her to have it her way. "I know...I'll try not to get wild" he said before she glared at him but sighed heavily.

"Alright...but I expect you to be more like yourself once mom is back out" she said.

He laughed softly as she lay on top of him to lock lips with his, and he growled dominantly while his instincts took over albeit they were being more restrained, and she knew just exactly what he wanted to do. She grabbed onto the sides of his chest tightly and commenced with her reenactment much to her lover's satisfaction.

After her mother left, Steele was finally unleashed, but he still had to hold back a great deal to preserve the bed much to Lilian's dissatisfaction. She did not have anything to complain about as he did the right things and had an above par performance for a human perspective, but she knew that this was nowhere near his best.

Steele compensated his lack of intensity with his great endurance as they spent hours coupled up with the air conditioner working hard to cool of the heated passion. An hour later after the deed were done, their sexual afterglow were interrupted by a knock on the door, which he growled out loudly in irritation, and Lilian clutched onto him tightly like usual whenever he had to leave her side too soon.

She could not stop him as he climb out dragging her across the bed until she lost her grip. He looked back at her as he wrapped a towel around his waist. The knock grew louder and more frantic, which his irritation grew to concern. "It's your neighbor" he said calmly before he left her to answer the door. As he opened the door, the smaller wolfman rushed in frantically and was hyperventilating when he grabbed onto his arms.

"You gotta help me! I don't know what to do!" He shouted.

Steele looked at him sternly and gently pushed him away. "Tell me what your problem is first" he said firmly.

The wolfman gulped as he realized just how big Steele was compared to him. "It's my son. He..." he said before he saw Lilian poked her head around the corner to the hallway. "I got really angry with him and..." he said as Lilian entered the room very enraged.

"What did you do!?" She shouted as crossed her arms over her chest.
