Chapter 6: The Big Game

The following Friday, Toby, Zoe, and Sasha stayed at the school waiting for the buses to take them to the stadium. To Sasha's dismay, she had to ride on a separate bus with the band, her color guard squad, and the cheerleaders. She sat next to Barbra and remained closed off from everyone else. She looked back at Olivia shooting her death glares, but the teacher began handing out uniforms to the squad.

Sasha stared at the uniform and blushed brightly. "This is my uniform? Isn't it a bit revealing?" she asked.

Barbra snickered. "Hey, this is modest compared to the Cheerleader uniforms" she remarked.

Sasha sighed heavily as she pulled out her phone, and she began texting Toby. "How are things on your end?" she asked.

Toby replied, "It's very loud! It smells terrible!"

"I'm sitting next to Toby. He's not exaggerating! It smells like dirty socks and mushrooms!" Zoe texted.

Sasha giggled to herself. "I'm so sorry. I don't know what I would do if I could smell all those football players" she answered.

There was a long pause before Zoe texted. "Toby just scared the piss out of one of the Defensive linemen"

Sasha cocked her head. "Is that good or bad?" she asked.

"It's hilarious!" Zoe responded.

Sasha began to google search defensive lineman, and she began to giggle. "So is this guy huge?" she asked.

"He's bigger than the guy Toby put in a coma. I told him to stop poking Toby" Zoe answered.

"I'm going to lose it! This guy won't stop poking me with his Slim Jim!" Toby replied.

Sasha snickered and shown Barbra the conversation. "Oh my!" she muttered before she snickered. "Now I want to be on that bus!" she joked.

Sasha shook her head. "No you don't...trust me" she said before they made it to the city. Sasha looked around at the high-rise condominiums along the river bank, and the giant buildings on the top of really high hills with an aerial tramway running between the hills and the riverbank. "Is that OHSU?" she asked Barbra.

Barbra nodded. "Yup...and that's also OHSU" she said pointing to some buildings next to the high-rise buildings.

Sasha raised an eyebrow. "What? How? Why?" she asked.

"Well, they ran out of room on the hill, so they just built there and put in that scary tram" Barbra.

Sasha grinned. "Looks fun! Maybe Toby and I can ride in it" she said.

Barbra rolled her eyes. "Count me out" she protested.

A wadded up piece of paper bounced off Sasha's head, and she looked back at Olivia who was glaring back at her. "Hey! Over here!" Kari shouted from the middle of the bus.

Sasha grinned. "What are you doing? You didn't tell me you were in band?" she asked.

Kari waved her flute in the air. "Yup!" she shouted.

She got up, and the instructor glared at her. "Please stay seated until the bus is stopped!" he shouted.

Kari huffed and pouted, which Sasha laughed and waved at her. "I'll skype you after the game!" she shouted.

"Awesome!" Kari shouted back.

5 minutes later the buses pulled up to the stadium, and there was great fanfare and music echoing through the street. News vans were parked down the street and a huge crowd dressed in Timberwolf school colors and memorabilia stood in the line. Sasha's heart began to pound as they were rushed into the stadium. "I've never played in front of so many people!" she told Barbra.

"What!?" Barbra shouted back. Her voice was drowned out by the loud crowd and music.

Sasha leaned in. "I've never played in front of so many people!" she shouted into her ear.

Barbra grinned. "Me neither!" she shouted back.

Meanwhile in the locker room, Toby looked around trying to find where he needed to be as he was separated from Zoe. "Um...what the hell am I supposed to do?" he muttered.

"Toby quit screwing around and suit up!" The coach yelled as he walked up to him as he threw him a bag of pads. Toby caught the bag before the coach smirked. "You'll do alright!" he said.

Toby quietly began to suit up, while he overheard a big discussion amongst the team mates. "Tucker got an academic suspension again?" one of them asked.

"Yea...They can't just give him an F before a big game...the season just started" another said.

The coach came back with a helmet for Toby and cleared his throat. "You play soccer right, Toby?...Would you mind kicking off? The back-up is still warming up" he asked him.

Toby raised an eyebrow. "Uh...okay? I don't know how far you want..." he said before the coach shoved the helmet into his chest.

"I need someone who can kick at least 40 yards...the back-up has only practiced kicking PATs" he said. He looked up and growled at the others. "Hey! Quit screwing around!" he yelled. He went into a corner and tapped his headset. "Is Zoe ready?" he asked. He sighed looking back at Toby. "Hurry up and get suited up! You're so slow!" he shouted.

Toby gulped as he started to undress, and some of the football players looked towards him and gawked. He glanced over at them and shot them menacing glare causing them to turn away.

"It's true he is huge!!" one yelled.

"And hairy" Another added.

Toby tried his best to ignore the comments. This whole thing grew more awkward for him the more the comments piled up. He was being stared at, and being sized up for future competition or admiration. He finally was suited up in his Crimson and Black uniform, and he noted that he was number one. He frowned looking farther down at the revealing bulge in his crotch where his athletic cup was. "This is so degrading" He said as he shoved his regular clothes into the locker. The Jocks looked at Toby still in disbelief, but they tried to mask their glances.

"If you took out Jimmy...You must have superhuman strength," One of the Jocks said.

Toby chuckled. "Yea, well he started it!" He said trying to calm down.

The team grinned at each other. "Hey with Toby and Zoe on our team we can screw around, and still win!" They said whispering to each other.

"Um, well you don't think the coach will take us off the field once we got to 70 points?" Toby asked.

The team looked at Toby oddly as he was too far for a normal person to hear their conversation. "He wouldn't do that would he?" One asked.

The coach came up to Toby and slapped him over the shoulder pads. "I'll keep it short and simple kid. I don't care how or what you and Zoe do. Just get the ball into the end zone!" He said calmly.

Toby nodded slowly. "That is all there is to it?" He asked.

The coach laughed. "Pretty much, just don't kill anyone in the process, alright?" he asked as he slapped Toby's back pads.

The players laughed. "Yeah right!" they said. "Zoe's going to tear off that one guy's arms off" another said.

The coach looked at the others annoyed. "If you only knew what her father was like...he was a man eater!" He said.

Toby's eye twitched. "You mean metaphorically right?" He asked.

The coach laughed. "No, kid! And I can see that same beast in you two!" He said punching Toby's chest plate.

Toby smiled feeling the coach's confidence rub off onto him, and he put his helmet on. "I'll try not to hurt anybody" he said.

"I'll do the hurting for you!" Zoe interrupted. Toby stared at her as she had the biggest grin on her face.

The clock in the locker room pinged as it reached two minutes. "Alright, lets head to the Tunnel!" the coach shouted.

Zoe's grin grew wider as she put her mouth piece in and clapped her hands together. "Let's go!" she shouted as she shoved him towards the door.

As they got to the tunnel they could hear the crowd chanting, "We are?...T-Wolves?" They completely drowned out the Jesuit fans. They booed as Jesuit rushed out onto the field, and they started to sing, "Who's afraid of the big bad wolf?"

Toby stared at Zoe. "Hey! What are the timbers army doing here!?" he shouted.

Zoe leaned in. "Don't you pay attention to Facebook!?" she asked. He quickly shook his head quietly. "They knew about what happened! They are here to support us!" she shouted back.

He heard the announcer the speakers outside, "Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you the visiting team! Give it up for the Tualatin Timberwolves!"

The crowd erupted into a frenzy, and Zoe yanked Toby out as they as the volunteers spayed fire extinguishers up at them as the whole team ran out onto the field. In the bleachers, the Timbers army had their tifo up of a werewolf that with a caption in giant lettering that said, "We are the Danger!" and under it said, "Everyone plays!"

Toby grinned. "This is so awesome! It's like a home game for us" he shouted.

"I know, right!?" Zoe shouted back.

Toby spaced out and was hoping that he would play as good as the coach made him out to be. He gulped realizing the high expectations put on him, and he was not going to let anyone down. Zoe dragged him to the center of the field where the referee did the coin toss.

"Alright, visiting team heads or tails?" He asked.

Zoe leaned in. "Tails!" she shouted.

The referee immediately flipped the coin into the air and it bounced off the ground. "It is tails!" he shouted.

"We'll kickoff!" Zoe shouted.

"Tualatin will kick off!" the referee said before he looked to the Jesuit players. "Which side of the field do you want to go?" he asked.

"North!" One said. The other players groaned as they were going towards the timbers army.

"Jesuit selects the North end zone!" the referee said.

Toby leaned in towards Zoe. "I'm still stuck on the Timbers army being here" he shouted with glee. The booth started to play "Zombie Nation" by Kernkraft 400 in the stadium. Zoe nodded as they got into their positions. One of the players set the ball up in the kicking tee, and Toby sighed. "Um..." he muttered timidly before he heard the whistle blow.

"Just kick the ball!" Zoe shouted.

Toby sighed and charged at the ball. He kicked the ball so hard it sailed out of the stadium and bounced off the roof of the athletic club one hundred feet past the end zone. The timbers army roared with delight and amusement. A guy to his right patted his shoulder pad. "Yo! That was epic!..." he yelled.

The referees stared at the spot on the roof where the ball landed as their whistles plopped out of their mouths in disbelief. The roof stood seventy feet above the field, and they watched the ball land in the street outside the stadium. One got brave, and blew the whistle waving his hand. Zoe yanked Toby to the sideline fuming.

"I should have picked the other team to kick off" she grumbled.

The guys laughed. "That was a good kick..." one said slapping his helmet

"It's a Touchback, and the Crusaders shall snap the ball at the 20 yard line" the announcer said.

Toby wondered around very lost until Zoe had to drag him out to his spot on the defensive line. "What the hell Toby!? Calm the freak down!" She shouted before they all kneeled. One of the Jesuit players twitched and two of his players started pointing.

The whistle was blown and a yellow flag thrown in front of them. The referee walked out and turned his mic on. "False Start, Number 69, 10 yard penalty, still first down" he said.

One of the players nudged him. "I think we could get a safety out of this" he said as they move back to the ten yard line.

"A safety?" Toby muttered.

Zoe walked up to him. "I want you to force the quarterback to drop back into his own end zone..." she said.

Toby's eye twitched. "Uh okay?" he mumbled.

When everyone moved to the 10 yard line, they reset. Toby got down and saw the Quarterback take a few steps back into the end zone. Toby watched the ball begin to move as it was snapped back towards the Quarterback, and he jumped over the group of players. The Quarterback just caught the ball before Toby pummeled him to the ground. "Tag" Toby said as the whistle was blown.

Toby got off the guy leaving him on the ground still in total shock. "That guy isn't human..." he muttered as his team mates picked him off the ground.

"Toby Wolfgang with the safety" the announcer said. The crowd started to sing "Who's afraid of the big bad wolf?" once more.

"Great job, Toby! That's how it's done!" Zoe said patting Toby's back. The coach held a thumbs up with a big grin.

Toby finally relaxed as they all got on the other end of the field. The whistle was blown, and watched the ball being kicked towards Zoe. She caught the ball and began to dash around to run down the edge of the sideline. He followed after her and pushed the kicker out of the way as she ran into the End zone. "And it's Zoe Cooper 100 yard return for a Touchdown!" the announcer said. The Jesuit fans stared at the field and then at the scoreboard in disbelief.

Toby looked towards the couch who was holding up two fingers and he sighed. Toby walked towards the players that were gathering. "Alright we're going for two, Toby and I got it handled" Zoe said before they separated the huddle. They all crouched down staring at their opponents, and as the whistle was blown, and Toby froze not knowing what to say. "Uh, red, 42...pizza, 14.99...bacon, half off" Toby yelled out randomly. The players on both sides looked at Toby like he was insane. "Pizza Hut!" Toby yelled.

The ball was passed to him, and everyone collided with each other. Toby did not go around, or throw the ball. He went straight into the mass of players and plowed through them. Most of the players grabbed onto Toby and were dragged to the end zone. More grabbed onto him as some lost their grip.

The whistle was blown, and everyone was in shock and amazement as Toby walked into the end zone. "Toby Wolfgang scores the two-point conversion" the announcer said.

The crowd began chanting. "We are! T-Wolves!" while the Timbers army sang.

The team went to the sideline where Lilian and Yvonne were sitting comfortably next to the staff. They were both beaming with delight, and Toby removed his helmet and looked up at to see Sasha waving at him. His coach rushed up to them and smirked. "Great work...I'll put you two back in after a couple of downs" he said before he rushed off.

Sasha weaved her way down to the railing and grinned. "That was awesome! You'll make it to a hundred points for sure!" she shouted.

Zoe looked towards Toby evilly before she shouted back, "Try two-hundred!"

Olivia tried to run into Zoe, but she bounced off Zoe into Toby. "I'm sorry, Toby!" she shouted before she winced and reached down to grab her ankle. "Ow!" she shouted as she clutched onto Toby's jersey.

Sasha scowled, and Zoe rolled her eyes. "Wow, are you really that whimpy?" she asked.

Olivia glared at them. "Can't you see I'm hurt bitch!?" she shouted.

Toby stared between them as Olivia got up and pounded her fist into Zoe's helmet. Zoe laughed as Olivia immediately grabbed her fist. "Oh, Now I do...I'm sorry!" she said before she snickered.

The couch rushed back over to them and clapped his hands. "Hey! You two! Listen! I want you two to go up tempo! 5 seconds tops! Got it!?" he shouted.

They both nodded before he rushed back out onto the field. Once they got back to the line of scrimmage, Toby walked up to the center and tapped his shoulder four times. The whistle was blown, and Toby backed up. "Plaid, 90...cheese a buck 50!!" Toby yelled. The players looked up as Zoe ran from one side to the other. "hut!!" Toby yelled immediately. The ball was given to him, and he jumped over the wave of players coming at him. The two players covering Zoe looked back to see Toby blowing past them into the end zone. The timbers army set off a big cloud of red smoke and started waving a large Double T flag.

"Toby Wolfgang 73 yards for a Touchdown" The announcer said. The opposing team looked at Toby with either anger or disbelief.

"Time out!!" the opposing team's Coach yelled.

The whistle was blown again, and Toby growled. "Crusaders charged for a time out, this will be a thirty second time out. They will have two left in the half" the referee said.

Toby's team mates ran up to him. "That was awesome! You jump six feet in the air" one of them shouted.

Zoe grinned. "We're going for 2 again" she told him before she leaned in. "After that...I'm going to hit the punt returner hard. You pick up the ball and run it in. If the other guy gets it, you hit him, and I'll run it in...got it?" she asked.

Toby sighed and nodded. "So is that a Touchdown?" He asked.

Zoe nodded. "Hell yea! It's a scoop and score!" she shouted.

Toby looked towards the other team's side of the field, and he heard the opposing team's Coach talking to a huge player. "When I send you out there I want you to take that little freak out! I don't care how you do it, just make him gone! That little princess out there is giving us trouble already!" The coach yelled.

"Got it!" the big guy yelled.

Toby grinned evilly. "Hey you guys...listen Mr. Cro-Magnon over there thinks he can stop me. Got any bets that he can't stop me?" He asked.

The players looked back at the tall obese player, and they laughed. "50 saying you can't" one of the smaller players said.

Toby grinned. "Ooh, a big bet, eh? Anymore?" He asked. Zoe rolled her eyes as she went out onto the field.

"100 saying you can't" one of the large players said.

Toby looked at the others and smirked. "Alright..." He said cracking his knuckles.

The coach tugged on Toby's shoulder stopping him from going in. "Let Zoe handle this on her own. Look, when I put you out there, I want you to just take the hit Toby. This coach really pisses me off...He's a dirty coach" he said before he shook his head. "It's a shame all those players are being taught terrible ethics!" he said firmly. The crowd roared once more as Zoe passed the ball to someone in the end zone.

"Zoe Cooper pass to Casey O'neil good for two" the announcer said.

Toby frowned. "I don't want to hurt him" he muttered.

The coach slapped him on the back pads. "You're a good pup, Toby! If he gets hurt, he hurt himself! Got it!?" the coach shouted. Toby nodded before everyone ran over to the sidelines. The Cro-Magnon came out onto the field and was looking at Toby sizing him up for the attack.

The coach cleared his throat and looked at his team. "Toby, I'm going to see how our backup does...You and Zoe are going to be gunners. I want you all to play clean!" he said. Toby and the others nodded before the coach slapped his helmet. "Alright get out there!" he shouted enthusiastically. He grabbed Toby by the collar and stopped him briefly. "Hey, I see where you're coming from. Just fall back when he hits you, got it?" he whispered. Toby nodded before he was pushed onto the field.

As he got out onto the field the players on either side knew what was about to happen but not the outcome. The whistle was blown, and the backup kicker was kicked the ball. Toby and Zoe ran passed the players. Once the returner caught the ball, Toby rammed his shoulder into his chest letting out a brutal pop that echoed through the stadium. The crowd shouted with delight, "Oh!" before they roared as the ball popped out into the end zone. Zoe quickly jumped onto the ball and the referees signaled touchdown.

"Toby Wolfgang forces the fumble. Recovery made by Zoe Cooper in the End zone for a touchdown!" The announcer yelled. Everyone's rejoicing suddenly turned to horror as the Cro-Magnon was running at Toby. Toby crossed the end zone to celebrate with Zoe, and he stopped.

"Toby, look out!!" Sasha screamed in horror.

Toby looked back at the Cro-Magnon as he jumped low into Toby's leg, and there was a nasty crunch as Toby turned around and fell. The referee threw a yellow flag, and everyone believed Toby's knee got annihilated; although, Toby quickly got up and ran off the field. The Cro-Magnon man and the punt returner lay on the ground motionless on the field, and the medical team ran out.

Toby looked back at the as the Cro-Magnon has the referee walked out onto the field. "After the play. Personal Foul, Late Hit, on the return team, number 27. The 15 yard penalty will be assessed after the kick off. The touchdown is good" he said as he held his hands up.

The crowd went silent shock and awe seeing the star player of the national championship team being carried off the field in an ambulance after injuring himself from running into Toby as if he was running into a steel reinforced concrete post. The booth started to play "Freedom fighters" by Two steps from hell in the stadium while the medical team tended to the punt returner who was rolling around in pain.

The coach motioned for Toby to come over. "Toby! Get over here!" he yelled. Toby ran over to the coach who laughed and pounded on his chest pads. "Atta boy! I knew you could do it!" he yelled.

Zoe snickered tapped his shoulder. "A lot of the Jesuit fans are leaving the stadium" she said. The whistle was blown again, and their team made the field goal.

"And Jesse Schrödinger tacks on the extra point" the announcer said.

Toby looked at the thinned out Jesuit section, and he looked up at the scoreboard, which it read, "Tualatin 25 points, 330 rushing, 90 passing; Jesuit 0 points, -5 rushing, 20 passing; 8:49, 1st Quarter".

The coach stroked his chin. "Alright, I'll tell you two what...from now on, I'm going to have you play separate and get the other team involved. Keep up the up tempo and take turns harassing their defense" he told them.

They both nodded as the players ran up to Toby slapping his pads and helmet. "You just tweaked Patrick McGuire's neck!" one yelled.

"You better pay up when we get to the locker rooms! Or I might take up arms and legs as pay" Toby teased.

Halftime came and the scoreboard now read, "Tualatin 102 points, 752 rushing, 301 passing; Jesuit 0 points, 10 rushing, 30 passing; 0:00, 2ndQuarter". Only the Tualatin fans remained and the timbers army, which they enjoyed the marching bands and color guard from both schools. Toby approached Sasha as they walked back into the stands carrying a two chili cheese dogs, and he offered her one. She smiled at him and gladly took one of them before she shook her head at him. "Is the other team just giving you the ball?" she teased.

Her father and brother both came up to the side rail, and they both grinned ear to ear. "That was awesome Toby!" her brother shouted.

Her father shook his head smiling. "You really like to pick off those balls off" he said. The crowd roared with laughter as one of the large defensive linemen began to crash the cheerleaders dance routine with his own nimble and whimsical interpretation. He laughed as he pulled out his phone. "Well, at least y'all are having fun" he said as he started surfing the web.

Barbra ran over to Sasha and stared at Toby. "Wow! You had like 3 pick-sixes...no one can touch you or Zoe!" she shouted really quickly.

Toby laughed and rubbed the back of his head. "Yea, well...it's instinct" he said modestly.

Sasha began to munch away, which the coach came up to Toby smiling. "You know, you and Zoe can relax. You can join too Sasha" he said.

Sasha father smirked. "That's an impressive squad you got there coach!" he said proudly.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, it has been decided to enact a mercy rule, and Jesuit has decided to terminate the game" the announcer said.

The coach ran over to a referee and started chatting with him. "Hey, I was going to pull Toby and Zoe out of the game the full second half" he told him.

The referee looked at him and smiled. "No worries. It wasn't my decision to make. Toby and Zoe are way too developed for this game. They are built to be an NFL player already, I'd hate to see who goes up against them in college" he said.

A man approached Toby, and he grinned widely. "Hey, Have you decided which team you're going to?" he asked. Toby looked at him oddly before the man pulled out his card. "My name is Bruce Barnum...You know, I like to see you and Zoe in a Viking jersey. I can help arrange a few scholarships if you choose to commit to PSU" he said casually.

Sasha looked between them. "Isn't Penn State the panthers not the Vikings?" she asked.

Bruce smirked. "No, Portland State!" he scoffed.

Zoe approached them, and she grinned. "Barney!?" she shouted ecstatically. She nudged Toby. "Dude, you should totally go for PSU's football program. This guy helped an FCS school beat two FBS schools in the same season!" she bellowed.

Toby took a bite of his chili cheese dog. "Okay? I don't doubt it" he said before Sasha tugged on his jersey. He looked over as a news reporter and camera man ran up to Toby. "Aw crap!" he muttered.

"Toby! Toby! Got a minute?" The news reporter asked.

Toby looked at around for help, but Zoe was busy chatting with Bruce. Sasha stood beside him happily munching away. "Um...sure?" he muttered.

"What was your team trying to prove by running up the score?" The reporter asked.

Toby raised an eyebrow as the microphone was pointed towards him. "I was just playing the game. Everyone was already fired up with the comments those Jesuit players had said about Zoe before...It's hard to show compassion when their players are intentionally trying to injure our players. That's not playing the game" he said before he took another bite.

"Your team...rather you and Zoe have definitely proven you are number one in the country. What do you think of that" the reporter said.

Toby stared at them before he swallowed his food. "Look, half those scores were from players other than Zoe or me. We executed our plays with precision and punctuality. I can guarantee that the rest of the scores would have all been by other players" he said. He noisily chomped onto a large portion of his meal before the coach ran up to them.

"Alright, you can go home, go get dressed down and wash up" he ordered him before he turned towards the reporters to answer their questions.

Sasha looked up at her father and smiled. "I'm going with Toby" she said before her father crossed his arms and frowned.

He looked at Toby intensely before he shrugged. "Alright...You take good care of her you hear?" he asked.

Toby nodded slowly before Sasha quickly wrapped her arm around Toby's arm. Barbra grinned while she watched Olivia glare at Sasha with intense hatred. "I'll see you next week!" she said with a friendly wave. Sasha waved back as she walked with Toby over to the tunnel.

"I got to get into my normal clothes then I'll be back...okay?" He asked.

Sasha shook her head. "I got to also...I can't stand walking around like this! It's too much that everyone gets to see my fat body" she said before she motioned to her outfit.

He looked her over and cocked his head cutely. "You aren't fat, Sasha" he said before he touched the side of her arm. "I think you look very attractive" he said before he headed off to the locker room.

He flew into the doors, and he immediately smelled that stink of many male body odor. He growled not wanting to deal with the awkwardness of others staring at his body. Toby looked into the shower room, and it was empty. It was just how Toby liked it, so he got undressed and took his shower. He closed his eyes trying to ignore the other boys walking by, but he could hear the conversations about him in the outside the showers.

"Well, we can rule out that he's on steroids" One of the team mates said.

"Man, is he even human? I didn't think Patrick McGuire was human and to break his neck by just standing there doin' nothin'...there's just something not right about him" Another asked.

"He's on our team isn't he? All we have to do is not piss him off and we'll be fine" The biggest player said in his deep toned voice.

Toby turned off the shower and grabbed the towel. He wrapped the towel around his waist. He was modestly furry, and the water trickled down his well-developed muscles before he shook himself like a dog sending the water flying everywhere.

"Hey! Wolf man!" The biggest player teased.

Toby jumped. "Where!?" Toby yelled looking around.

"You! Wolf man! Get over here!!" He yelled pulling out a hundred dollar bill.

Toby smirked. "Okay, Wolf man I am then" He said walking over to the big guy.

The big guy gave Toby the 100. "That bastard has been playing dirty all last season. I knew that you could do it, I just wanted to give you the motivation" he said.

Toby looked at the all the players amused. "You don't have to pay, I was just screwing around" He said.

The other players pulled out 5's, 10's, and 20's and, the smaller player pulled out the 50.

Toby smirked. "Well if you insist..." He said taking the money. "Thanks for the donations" he said before he shoved it into his bag.

"Just let us play next time!" The big player said.

"Pass the ball...got it" Toby said as he pulled his clothes from the looker. He slid the money in his pocket, while looking back to see if the coach was looking.

"Not just that, don't make the team surrender" The big player added said.

Toby blushed. "Sorry, I thought it would be tougher than this...really" he said.

Toby put his gear into the equipment bag before he carried his own bag out of the locker room. As he opened the doors, he was met by mysterious reporter along with Lilian and Sasha. Sasha huddled up against Toby's frame tangling herself up into her champion's arm while they walked along the street.

"Hey isn't this a coincidence, two stories in one" The reporter said chuckling. He looked at Sasha and winked at her. The reporter came up to Sasha and sniffed her, which Sasha shrieked.

He growled and instinctively pushed the reporter back. "Paws off!!" He yelled.

The reporter chuckled. "Wow, touchy, I should have known you aren't afraid to go for a Human..." He said cheekily.

Sasha gasped. "He's a wolf too?" She asked.

The reporter nodded with a toothy grin. "Wow, she's very sharp" he said before he held out his hand. "My name is Kolbe Smith of the Daily Howl" He said.

Sasha looked at him oddly. "You mean you have a Were..." She shouted before Lilian, Kolbe, and Toby covered her mouth as a group of people walked by. The group continued on totally oblivious to the conversation.

"What are you crazy!? And yes we have a newspaper for them_and read _only by them!" Kolbe whispered into Sasha's ear.

Sasha nodded before the three of them uncovered Sasha's mouth. "Sorry, I just can't help to be so excited" she said.

Lilian giggled. "It's okay, just contain that excitedness" she said.

Sasha nodded and sighed. "Sorry" she said in a whisper.

"You can whisper, we can hear you loud and clear" Lilian said.

"Okay" Sasha whispered. Lilian unlocked the car with her keys, and Toby opened the door for Sasha, which she smiled at his gesture. "Thank you, Toby...you're so sweet" Sasha said before she kissed him on the cheek blushing brightly, and he felt his urges come back with vengeance, which he blushed at the hint. He jumped over onto the other side and quickly got in setting his bag under his leg. Kolbe got in the front passenger side and pulled out his tablet.

"So, why weren't you scared when you caught on that he was a werewolf?" he asked.

Sasha laughed. "I'm not the type to be scared...I've seen more scary things than he is" she said. Lilian pulled out of her parking spot. "So how old were you when your father died?" Sasha asked Toby.

Toby looked up and frowned. "Um...I was 5" he said.

"I think you'd be a good mate for Toby" Lilian interrupted.

Sasha looked at her confused. "His what??" She yelled.

Toby blushed brightly. "Well, um...A mate is a male and female pairing in our society, boyfriend and girlfriend, husband and wife, mother and father. It's nothing perverted...well it can be if you say mate as a verb" Toby said nervously.

Sasha blushed. "Sorry, you two just say weird things sometimes, and it's hard to keep up with your terminology" she said. She thought for a moment before she grinned. "So do you two know of other werewolves in the school?" She asked.

Toby looked at her amused. "Well other than Zoe. The twins, the vice principal, our coach, and the councilor are all werewolves" He said.

The lighting in the car changed and she noticed veins bulging in his neck. Kolbe was too busy typing away in his tablet to notice. She reached for his hand and felt the claws on his fingers. "Are you alright Toby?" she asked with deep worry and concern.

He nodded slowly before she reached up to touch his ears. "Your ears are getting fuzzy" she said as she felt his ear. He was shocked, but it feel so good the way she touched it that he lowered his head, and he even pushed his head into her hand. "Your ears are so soft and cute!" She said.

By then he began wiggling his leg and groaning. Lilian looked back at the two snickering. "You know how to treat a wolf don't you?" Kolbe asked.

She smiled. "I love wolves, but I think Toby is much better" She said before she frowned. "So, why did he transform like this?" she asked.

Kolbe looked back at Sasha sternly. "Just keep Toby down! We don't want attention drawn to us..." he said before he cleared his throat. "As for why he wolfed out...well...he's a teenager and aroused" he said.

She stared at him and blushed. "Maybe kissing him wasn't such a good idea..." she said discouraged.

Lilian laughed. "I don't think kissing him was all that did it, hun. Don't worry about it" she said before she shook her head. "Remember what I told you...don't go full big bad okay?" she asked.

Toby groaned with embarrassment as he was being held down under Sasha's arm. He looked up trying to see her face, but it was eclipsed by her large buxom. "Easier said than done..." he muttered with a low whimper.
