Location: Valkyrie â€" Temporal Vortex

"We're getting close to the coordinates" announced Anna as the shuttle shot out of the vortex at the same speed they went in at, narrowly missing a powerful Asgard beam that shot past them and fired on the resistance battleship on their left.

Diamond waited in anticipation as the shuttle panned to the right to show the glimmer of blue oceans. It was Terra... it had worked!

"Whoooooo hooo!" cheered Anna as she weaved the shuttle in amongst the fighter battle, making the ship and rock, causing people to roll around in the back of the shuttle.

"Can you not get so over-excited!" shouted Munchy as Anna realised that she was not flying a fighter but a cargo shuttle.

"Sorry" she looked back to see Diamond upside down in the corner of the vessel, he had been pushed back into the wall and fallen over during Anna's fancy flying. "Oops..."

"Heading to Raven's Nest Shipyard" announced Blackfire as the ship moved towards the huge spider like structure suspended in the timeless domain of space. "If we get there in one piece..." he added.

Location: Valkyrie â€" Battle of Terra

"What is that shuttle?" asked Colin as the Valkyrie received more and more damage. Djynn looked over his controls as he attempted to scan the modified shuttle that had just dropped out of some unknown propulsion method almost right in front of the Valkyrie.

"I dunno... the ship is heading for Raven's Nest Shipyard."

Colin sat back in his chair, he was too busy defending his ship to go after it. However he had an unusual feeling about this already.

"Contact Munchy down on the planet, tell him to give Miles command down there and to bring a drop ship up from Terra. I'm going over to Raven's Nest Shipyard, tell Blackfire to hold off on the assassination of Obsidian for now..."

Djynn stared at Colin as if he had suddenly just lost all reason. "Djynn..." said Colin smiling. "You've earned this, take command of the Valkyrie."

Djynn was completely shocked by this statement, Captain Colin had never told him to take command of the ship before. But there was a first time for everything. He got up, straightened his uniform and sat down in Colin's chair.

"Battle stations" he said with authority.

Location: Raven's Nest Shipyard â€" Main Core

"Something is not right..." snarled Galladia as they entered the huge core room that was empty except for the crystallised human body of Kestra. She looked so serene, entrapped in her crystal paradise, she looked at peace.

Galladia stared at Ada as she felt the disturbance in the time-line. "Those clever little children... oh Freyja... I will do it right this time."

"I felt it too sister... an intrusion in our perfect time-line. Certainly feels like Freyja's work" said Ada in a flat and monotonous voice.

Galladia paused for a second and then looked over at Ada, a wide smile spread across her face. "However this might be more useful then we thought... we have preparations to make sister."

Ada began to use her powerful psychic abilities to break the crystal away from containment. "Warning... Warning..." shouted the computer immediately after she pulled it away from its bindings. "Core destabilisation process disrupted..."

"Interesting" said Galladia as she flicked through her green hair. "For some reason our "family" were syphoning energy from Kestra... I wonder why... pity we cannot just ask Odin herself." giggled Galladia as she put her hands up, shattering to crystal as if an invisible hammer, Kestra's body just dropped to the floor.

The shards of crystal just floated in the air as Galladia masterfully wove her hands to create a throne made of solid crystal. "Now... lets have some music!"

Ada grinned with conviction as Galladia sat down in her throne.

The day was already hers... they were walking into a death trap.

Location: Raven's Nest Shipyard â€" Landing Bay

"Clear!" shouted Munchy as he checked the adjoining corridors leading out of where the shuttle had landed. He gestured over at Aries who watched the others, Blackfire and Djynn attempting to hack the computer core and Diamond and Anna waiting impatiently.

"How long does it take to hack a security system!?" asked Diamond after about what felt like an hour of waiting for him. It had only actually been five minutes.

"Hey! Could you do this? Poof-Pony?" shouted Blackfire looking at the annoyed Diamond. Diamond remained silent in defeat. "Thought not... get off our case then!"

Anna was sat silently waiting, she wondered how long this would go on for? The constant stream of battles that seemed to define her life. There had been so much death... so much destruction. Most people never saw that in their lifetime, why was she so unlucky?

She was holding the item that made time travel possible, the hilt of Divine Lance Gungnir. She felt very cold while holding it, everyone was so busy that they did not notice her stand up, she could feel something calling to her, a distant voice... it was soothing and calm voice that echoed in her mind.

It sounded exactly like Silver... was he calling to her?

A strange white portal suddenly appeared in the room letting out a powerful shockwave the surprised everyone, except for Anna, who stood mesmerised by its brilliant glow. She heard Silver's voice hear her name and stepped to the portal.

"Anna!" shouted Diamond who attempted to push Anna from the portal which struck him in the side with a powerful bolt of lightening. He fell backward onto the floor as Ada appeared from the portal and latched onto to Anna and pulled her through the portal.

Diamond bit his lip as he stood up. "FUCK!" he shouted, he turned round to Djynn and Blackfire. "We have to work faster!"

"We are going as fast as we can!"

"Ok, Munchy and Aries, you take point" he said as he grabbed a rifle out of the shuttle. "You two wait for us and keep the ship ready for take off!"

"But..." said Djynn.

"No buts... I'm not gonna let Galladia claim anyone" he flipped the rifle round in a way that made him look like a professional sharpshooter. Both Munchy and Aries looked at each other and were clearly impressed as Diamond readied the weapon. It looked ridiculous, the rifle was the same length as his arm but then if Munchy could wield one at his height.

"Time to sick it to Galladia" said Diamond walking off. "Right in her ass!"

Location: Raven's Nest Shipyard â€" Corridor to Main Core

Diamond backed off behind the wall, the fire was intense from the collaborating Terrans who served Obsidian as a security for on Raven's Nest. He really deplored killing other Terrans especially since they came to save the planet itself.

But what choice did he have.

Munchy returned fire down the corridor, hitting a Terran soldier right in the face causing him to drop to the floor.

"Could you please prevent killing them!?" shouted Diamond from his back to the wall shielding him from the enemy's bullets. "Maybe you should tell them the same thing!" shouted Munchy as he returned fire. He was snarling as he fired, indicating that he was letting out some rage in this combat.

Aries was stuck between Diamond and Munchy crouched behind another container that was conveniently placed in the corridor. "We don't have time for this!" he shouted, his main filled with sweat as he turned and dripping onto his muscles.

Diamond twitched.

"I'm sorry... if you have a suggestion to kill them faster... I'm all ears horses!" shouted Munchy as he returned fire, popping his head out from over the barrel as a bullet skimmed past him.

The fire was so intense Diamond could not even get out from behind his cover to shoot back at the enemy. He tried to keep in mind that he was not killing ordinary Terrans, that these had been collaborators with the Asgard regime... but then wasn't he at some stage?

The was another set of gunshots that came from the corner with a large amount of screaming from the shoulders. Diamond poked his head out and aimed his rifle, it was all over in a few seconds. Somebody had obviously surprised the guards as they were all laying on a heap on the floor, some had already run off defeated.

There was then an eerie silence that filled to corridor, Munchy sent a hand signal to Diamond to follow him but Diamond did not understand military hand signals and just ended up looking confused.

Munchy sighed...

He then tried the same signal with Aries who grinned and nodded showing that he understood as they carefully trod down the corridor, a cracking sound that was very loud considered to the silence that they had just heard.

There was a four way split at the end of the corridor with points going off at all compass points. However the main core access room was located down the corridor straight ahead. Diamond followed behind Munchy and Aries, he had just walked into the junction when...

Bang!

A bullet impaled itself right in the wall next to him. Diamond instantly crouched with a "Shit!"

"Dammit... they are luring us for an ambush" said Munchy going straight for his gun but before he could aim it, he had the barrel of another gun shoved in his face.

Munchy's eyes suddenly opened with complete shock, standing before him was a version of himself wearing combats. "What the fuck!?" they both said in unison. It was like standing in front of a mirror.

"Oh boy..." sighed Diamond. "This will take a lot of explaining..."

"What will?" asked Captain Colin as he stumbled down on the crossing. "The Asgard are using Aesir shape-shifters... we knew that long ago." he said, taking aim with his rifle.
