A Proper Fusion Chapter 1: Bursting Boundaries For Kajiit By Draconicon

Kajiit shook his head as he walked down the main street, fighting off the wriggling that was constantly going on under his fur these days. It wasn't quite to the point of being uncomfortable, but it was a constant reminder that he wasn't alone under his skin anymore.

Even his new clothes reflected that. The bobcat looked down at the gloves he had to wear to keep his 'passenger's' body from showing, and the boots that he had to get specially made for his paws as well. They were both thick leather, something that made sense for an explorer to wear, but it kept his hands and feet constantly hot and sweating, and it wasn't a sensation that he particularly enjoyed.

Come on...you gotta let me out sometime, Kajiit. It's so boring in here.

"Hush. We're doing something professional today. Something that is long overdue."

But I wanted to party with that lion again!

"He's going out of town."

I can tell when you're lying, you know. It's not like you can keep that stuff hidden from me, you little fibber.

The feline grumbled as he kept walking down the street, dodging other people out of pure instinct as the conversation continued in his head. At least he could still do that, even if Kal was being a pain in his rear.

It hadn't been that long since he had found the Crux - as the creature eventually told him it was called - on a far-off planet that he'd been paid to explore. The creature was almost a parasite; the only thing that kept him from becoming that in truth as well as opinion was fact that Kal didn't actually feed on him the way that a parasite would. Instead, he just occasionally took control and went off to have fun.

Honestly, Kajiit would have preferred the feeding. At least then he would still have a somewhat normal life.

Come on, what are we really doing, and why can't we go get some fun first?

"Because it's not professional to be late for a business meeting."

Business. Blech.

"Are you sure that you're grown up?"

Yeah, course I am.

He honestly doubted it, sometimes, but he took it as a given. The last thing that he needed was the added guilt of working with the equivalent of a minor. He shuddered at that thought. He was breaking so many laws by not putting himself in quarantine, for not reporting that he was bonded with some alien creature. If he actually got himself in worse trouble because of the constant party-animal nature Kal had...

Putting that out of his head, the bobcat looked up. Smoothing the blue fur on his cheeks back a little bit, he scanned the street for the right sign. Various businesses called this street home, but there was one in particular he was looking for.

"Let's see...Harvester International...Galactic Sports...System Tours...Ah, there we are. Galactic Spa Network."

Please tell me that we at least get to dance to some good music in there.

"Just...stop talking, and let me work."

Almost as soon as he stepped into the lobby, Kajiit was recognized by the receptionist, a rather nice mouse that smiled at him and waved him over. She passed him the usual paperwork, and gave him a digital pen to fill out the different forms. As he got to work flipping through them, she leaned forward over the desk.

"I haven't seen you in a while. Been giving our competitors some business there, Kajiit?"

"Only a little."

That was a lie. He hadn't been anywhere in the month since he got back from the outer systems and handed them their last report. Kal had made sure of that. But better to keep them a little nervous, keep the offers high.

"Well, don't go leaving just yet. We want to make sure that it's worth your while. You're one of our best surveyors, after all."

"Thank you, Ann."

"You're welcome. So, what kind of places have you been seeing lately?"

"Oh, you know, it's not all that different when you have seen so many. I mean, there's only so many different biomes."

He rattled off a couple that he was relatively sure he hadn't reported to them in the past, going over a volcano planet and a couple of water worlds that weren't quite suitable for spa resorts. Of course, the Network could have settled things down there, but the safety precautions and the terraforming needed to make it work would have been an investment too far for most of their supporters. Unlikely that those planets would see any business in his lifetime, but in a few hundred years...well, who knew?

He passed the paperwork back, and the mouse tucked it into a file.

"Alright. Jonathan will see you now."

"Heh, thanks. Here's hoping that he's got some work for me."

For you, maybe. I just want to get out of here.

Biting back a retort, Kajiit made his way towards the back of the lobby and stepped into the capsule lift. It slipped shut around him, and the soft vibrations of the anti-grav drive in the bottom of it started lifting them up. He curled his toes inside the boots, trying to keep them from getting tickled by the sensation.

All the while, Kal was chattering in his ear.

I thought we were going to get a business meeting and then go home. You signed the papers.

"That was a non-disclosure agreement. It's what I have to get through in order to get the business meeting in the first place. All the companies are terrified of someone getting their planetary reports taken by some other business, so they make sure that people like me can't go around selling the information we get in these meetings."

You mean there's more?! Come on, this is ridiculous. You're already stressed, let's just go party it away.

"We. Can't."

Why not? It's fun.

He sighed, rubbing a hand against his forehead. The Crux just didn't understand. Then again, he had been from a completely alien world, somewhere where technology hadn't exactly grown in accordance with everything else. Hell, the whole place had been completely abandoned during the survey, so perhaps he didn't get the way that society worked. Bills, obligations, jobs; just because they had the technology to have more fun didn't mean that they had the time.

"Just...take my word for it, okay?"

Fine. But I'm taking you out later.

"Yeah, if you can take control..."

That was something, at least. He'd gotten better at keeping Kal from just walking off with his body of late. As long as he was paying attention, he could keep the transformation from happening, keep himself at home where he could look over reports and different job openings. The last thing he needed was to wake up in the middle of a club because Kal got bored.

The lift door opened, revealing a large office in the shape of a circle with a wedge curve-cut out of it. The walls and floor were completely transparent, and the roof shimmered with artificial clouds.

At the far side was the bull that headed this branch, a man named Jonathan Harkel. Kajiit put on a smile as he walked over, the feline pulling on his professionalism to make himself as charming as he possibly could.

"Jonathan, it's been a while."

"Indeed, indeed."

The bull still looked out the window at the city below, rather than turning around. Kajiit was used to it, for the most part; usually there was about a five to ten minute slow talk before the bull so much as turned around. Normally, he was fine with that.

But with Kal as active as he was...

"I don't suppose we can -"

"Hush."

He fell silent, though he gritted his teeth a little harder than usual behind his smile. The little bit of wriggling beneath his skin was getting worse, and he knew that Kal was already getting bored. The bobcat took a few deep breaths, pulling on all of his self-control to keep the creature from emerging. Any sign of a parasite, and he could kiss a new contract goodbye.

The silence stretched on, and Kajiit squelched several attempts at emergence from the Crux, forcing the smooth, almost latex-like skin off of his arms and making it turn back to fur. A few times, he felt tendrils rising from his head, and he forced that back down as well, keeping it as close to his normal body as possible. Some new hair-stylings he could excuse, but not a smooth, shimmering layer where he had had fur the last time.

Five minutes later, Jonathan finally turned around.

"I hope that you haven't forgotten patience, Kajiit. I have been working too hard to build this company, slowly and surely, for any of my surveyors to rip it down by an accident in haste."

"Nothing of the sort, sir. I'm just...a bit eager to have more work. There are concerns, after all."

"There are always concerns. But you are one of our best, so I will let it slide. This time. Sit."

He quickly joined the bull at the desk, crossing his hands in his lap. As the big guy started reaching into his desk, pulling out some files, Kajiit heard Kal starting to mutter in his head.

_Mmmm, he's a nice beefy one, isn't he? Do you think he'd like to 'dance' with us a bit?

Not the time, not the time.

Come on. You gotta admit that it'd be fun. Or we could dance for him. Just jump on that table, take off our clothes, and -_

"Ah, here we are."

Giving the Crux a mental stomp, Kajiit pulled his smile back on, trying to act as if nothing was bothering him.

The bull spread out several star charts on the table, each one reaching a bit further out into the galaxy than the last. Unexplored territories, places where other privateers would be looking for resources and land, perhaps even a few where aliens had already claimed a planet for themselves. Those were the dangers to surveyors, and they were entirely real dangers. Jonathan was one of those employers that realized this, and was doing his best to let Kajiit know what he might be getting into.

Which would have been wonderful, if he could just pay attention, but no, he had to keep squashing the Crux's attempts to get free and party. The feline shuddered a bit as he felt his tail starting to lengthen, getting long enough that he could feel it pushing at the edge of his pants in a way that it never naturally did.

"- and as you can see, there is likely to be a problem with the black hole in this cluster, but if we can set it up properly -"

"Sorry, sir. I hate to interrupt, but I can feel lunch backing up on me. May I be excused for a few minutes?"

"Yes, you may. But keep it quick."

"I'll do my best."

He darted off as fast as he could to the elevator, keeping his tail out of view. It still shimmered with the Crux's unnatural smoothness as the lift closed behind him, but he managed to keep it out of view. He hoped.

As the lift descended, he slapped the back of his head.

Ow! What was that for?!

"You're going to get me fired if you keep this up!"

But it's soooooo boring!

"It's going to get a lot more boring if we run out of money and you get me kicked out on the street, Kal. And that's going to happen if you keep this up."

What? But why would you be on the street? I thought -

"You think that I own all that stuff? I rent that apartment, I barely own my ship, and I certainly don't grow my own food. All the stuff that we have is only there while I can pay for it, and if Jonathan thinks that I'm getting unreliable, he's never going to hire me again. Do you think you can keep having fun when we can't afford to go to parties, when we are living on little bits of scrap that we can find in the streets? Do you?"

...

"Yeah, no, we can't. You'll be a little lonesome Crux living in a place where nobody wants to touch him, nobody wants to play with him, because we'll be filthy and starving and..."

He slumped down against the back of the elevator, the stress of the last few weeks all coming to a head as he felt the tears welling up. The last thing that he needed was to completely lose control, to look like he was a failure, but that was what he was starting to feel like. He'd been cursed with Kal as a companion, and with everything that had happened, he was barely keeping control of his own life.

A few tears slipped past his fingers as he wept, trying to pull himself back together and failing. They kept coming, the lift lodged between two floors as he thought of all the things that he'd wanted to do. So many places he wanted to see, so many different people he wanted to meet.

And now...now that was gone. Because the stupid Crux was there, and making it so that he had to be taken care of all the time, indulged every second of the day, like a spoiled kid that needed constant entertainment.

"Why did you have to get in my body? Why couldn't you have just left me alone?!"

I -

"No, just...just shut up. I don't want to hear from you for the rest of the day."

But...but Kajiit -

"I said not another word. I need to finish this deal, and I can't do it if you're making it so hard for me. If you can't behave, then...then I'm not going to talk to you. You can just be alone in my head if you're going to make it so hard for us."

He waited for the cajoling response that always came from the Crux, the joyous, bouncy, always happy things that came from the creature when they'd argued in the past. It always came, no matter what he said, no matter how reasonable he was being.

But no. This time, there was nothing, not so much as a peep. His head was empty save for the echoes of his own thoughts, and the little sobs that continued to shake his shoulders.

Maybe...maybe he's finally taking me seriously.

The bobcat shook his head, wiping his eyes one last time. Whatever was going on, he knew that Jonathan wasn't going to wait for him for much longer. The bull preached patience, but he also preached efficiency, and the last thing that he'd put up with was an employee that as late.

He pressed the lift button, and back up he went, rubbing at his eyes and drying off his fur as fast as he could.

Jonathan looked up from his desk as the lift opened, and Kajiit nodded at him.

"I'm sorry about the wait, sir. I know you don't appreciate the delays."

"You're correct. Now, sit, and let's continue our business."

Sitting down at his side of the table, Kajiit was able to give the business his full attention, the way that he'd wanted. It was surprisingly easy now, absorbing all the information without having to divide his attention between two things.

It was an interesting project, as well. The idea was to set up a resort on a planet that was slightly higher than normal gravity, but where the discomfort would be off-set by a black hole that was relatively nearby, the pull of its gravity loosening the general strain that people would be under. If it was safe, that is.

He had to give Jonathan credit, it was a unique idea. It'd be something of a twilight planet, giving people a chance to rest outside of some of the harsher lights of the other resort planets, while also giving them a chance to reduce the strain of artificial gravity with a gentle tug and stretch from both ends. It was unique as a planet could be without actually terraforming it in the first place.

But again, they had to make sure that it was safe, and that was where he came in.

Where he, and hopefully the company's money, came in.

"Do you have any idea of what kind of dangers are already there? Any lifeforms that might have been scanned when the original position of the planet was determined?"

"I'm afraid not. There was little information to be retrieved without coming in potential range of the black hole. For the results we want, the gravitational pull has to be relatively close to the planet, and there wasn't time to wait for a proper rotation for access."

He nodded, having had a feeling about that. Work was often left undone, save for marking the location of a planet and what immediately made it interesting. He doubted that they had gotten so close as to find out whether it had oxygen or not; that would be an interesting find, if he got there only to discover that they'd need to ship in a whole new atmosphere, and it meant that there would be a further cash expenditure to get the breathing equipment he needed in case it was uninhabitable.

A small sigh slipped past his lips. There was never any easy way of getting this done.

"And, if I may ask...what is the advance on equipment this time around?"

"15,000."

Kajiit bit his lip, looking down at the maps again. That would get him fuel, a few little tools, and maybe four hours worth of air to explore the planet when he got there. If he was lucky, he might get a few more things, but it wouldn't cover anything else. So much for getting samples that he could sell to other people this time around.

"I don't suppose we could bump that up to 18,000?"

"It's a planet we know too little about for that sort of investment, Kajiit. You'll have to make do."

"And the fuel?"

"Sufficiently covered by your advance."

Only if you fly by the most advanced engines out there, he thought to himself. Some of the more recent freighters could fly without using more than a little bit of fuel at a time, and only expending a great deal when they took off and landed on different planets. His ship needed a more constant use of fuel, correcting his course, shifting to take things from a different direction, and he didn't even want to think about the warp drive's consumption.

Still...he could make it, even if this trip could easily end up being less profitable than the rest of them.

"And do you have a site picked out you want me to investigate, or is this a planetwide sweep?"

"The latter."

Another bite of his lip. That was always harder, and it would mean having to conserve his fuel more carefully. Not to mention that his air would be used up quicker, having to go out and check different places. He'd have to hurry the whole job, and Jonathan surely wasn't going to like that.

He leaned forward, re-arranging the maps and tracing different lines over them, as if he was plotting routes. In reality, he was collecting his thoughts, making sure that he didn't say something stupid out of sheer annoyance.

Galactic Spa Network was one of the higher paying groups that worked with surveyors, but Jonathan only rewarded people that turned over good finds for the company. If it ended up being a bust, the advance was the only thing that the surveyors came away with. Kajiit had worked under that for a while now, and so far had been pretty lucky. However, if he came away from this one without any good finds...

He could already see the results. His apartment taken away, his ship sold to pay bills that he owed the companies out there. Even bits of his body, if he wasn't careful; he wasn't entirely sure that there wasn't an organ-sale clause in some of the contracts that he'd signed over the years.

And that would happen this time, if he came back without anything. It'd been too long since the last job, due to Kal and his hijinks.

But...they were fun, weren't they?

He wanted to think that it was Kal's thought there, and perhaps it was, at some level. But...

But it was also his own. Kajiit smiled slightly to himself as he thought back to the first time that they had actually gone for a party somewhere, how it had felt to let someone else take over for a while. The stress had melted right off his shoulders, and he'd been able to just let himself think of the fun rather than the future. It had been a novel experience, one that he might -

Rip.

The sound was soft, but still jarring enough to catch his attention. Kajiit pulled back from the map, aware of a great deal of tightness in his boots, and realized what had happened. Kal had been slipping out again, and he'd been too lost in thoughts to actually stop him.

_What are you doing?!

You're going to give yourself a heart attack with all this worry. You need to just sit back and relax a little bit.

I'm in the middle of a meeting!

Then hurry it up. You can't take this for much longer._

"What was that?"

"N-nothing, sir. Perhaps I've been planet-side for a bit too long; perhaps my clothes aren't fitting as well as they did as a result."

"Hmmm..."

Kajiit blushed as he sat down, feeling his toes getting squeezed by the edges of his shoes. It wasn't the biggest, most dramatic growth that Kal had put him through in the last month, but it was one of the more embarrassing ones. He could feel his feet swelling bigger, bigger inside of his boots, the thick toes getting bigger and wider, pressing against the interior of the boots and making them stretch outwards.

He curled his toes, or at least tried. As soon as he did, he felt the strain on the boots get worse, and he made them relax again. The boots felt so tight around his paws, so very, very restricting.

The bull looked him over before sitting down as well.

"I can offer you a total of 150,000 if you can find a good site for us to place a resort, as well as a bonus of 60,000 if you can get at least four routes for ships to fly our clients in. If we don't have to pay an official guild for it, we all win."

"Yes, I, I can see that."

"Kajiit. Are you stable?"

"Of course."

That was a flat-out lie. The blue was spreading up from his boots; he could already feel it running past his ankle and up towards his knee. The shimmer would be visible if his pants started to rise up, and if the growth at his feet continued, it felt like that was a guarantee. He rubbed at his eyes, trying to hide the growing blush on his face.

"Anything else, sir?"

"Yes. We'd like you to leave within the week. There's word that a competitor of ours will try and contest this find in court, and we want to make sure that we can state that we've already explored it sufficiently to claim it. We can't afford to let you wait around too long, but we know you need to get supplies. The credits for your advance will be in your account as soon as you sign the contract."

Yes, sign it, so we can get out of here and have some fun.

And before he could get a heart attack out of pure nerves. Kajiit nervously reached for the pad that the bull held out to him, and flicked through the text. The contract would be the same as it always was; Jonathan always kept it the same for ease of use and practicality. He found the little box for his signature, and started dragging his pen over it -

"Nng."

"Is part of the contract unsatisfactory?"

"Not at all..."

_Kal, will you stop it?!

I don't think so. This is fun. And besides, you're liking it...I can feel it riiiiiight here._

It took every bit of willpower for the bobcat to keep from moaning as the growing lines of the Crux touched him on the crotch. The almost slimy feeling of the Crux's skin cradled his sac, bouncing it lightly before spreading up even further. It started wrapping around his crotch, squeezing it gently, rubbing his cock as it got harder and harder in his pants.

Biting down on his tongue hard enough to hurt, the bobcat scribbled his name on the contract and handed it over. Jonathan put it back in the drawer with a small smile and nod.

"Excellent. I believe that will conclude our business, then. Off you go."

"Yes, sir."

He wanted to run. Stars above, he wanted to run, to get into the elevator and ride it right through the floor of the building. But he walked slowly. Every step felt like it would be the one to rip his boots right off his paws, the toes feeling like they were getting squeezed in a vise from how big they'd grown.

As he stepped into the lift and the door closed, he looked down. The leather was stretched to its breaking point. The toe of the boot was pushed forward at several spots, looking like his claws were about to rip right through, while the sides were getting lifted right up from the soles. It would barely take any more pressure to completely break them apart.

His cock throbbed at the thought, humiliatingly enough.

"Kal...you..."

Don't worry. Just let me take care of this for a bit. You took care of the business, now let me take care of the fun.

"Do I even have a choice?"

Hmmm...

The Crux's blue showed just below the collar of his shirt, holding there. Kajiit realized that the Crux must have spread over his whole body below the neck, and only the thick clothes kept it from being seen by the world.

How about no?

He shivered at the almost-angry tone that Kal had in his head. Their argument must have hit the creature a little harder than he thought, but then again...he had been really, really mad, and he hadn't treated Kal very well.

They reached the bottom floor, and the bobcat realized that his body was moving outside of his control. They walked out of the building, and then down the street, just far enough to be away from the prestigious business part of town. Kal walked him into an alley, and then behind several small machines - pipes and boilers and other things that fed the buildings nearby - before coming to a halt, out of sight of everyone else.

"What are you doing?! We should be going home."

And miss the chance to do something fun out here? Nobody will see...or will they?

The maybe, maybe not nature of this left his heart in his throat, but there was nothing that Kajiit could do. All he could do was move his head, and that went immediately back down to his boots as he felt his toes swell once more.

The first claw sliced through the leather toe of the boot, cutting a hole straight through. It started the cascade of destruction, each toe popping through after it with a loud riiiiip of leather coming apart. He blushed as he felt them touch the open air, the smooth Crux toes feeling so hot after being contained for so long.

Mmmm, that's better. Feels so much better to be barefoot than stuck in those stuffy old things.

"They're - AH!"

His protests of their use was cut short as they grew bigger, bigger, his feet swelling upwards as well as outwards. The sides of the boots ripped right off of the sole, the rounded top coming off and rolling away as his toes wiggled against the soft concrete of the ground. They felt so sensitive, and freed of their confines, it felt like they swelled just a bit more, and then a bit more again with each beat of his heart.

His body knelt down on the ground, then sat down, pushing those big feet forward. They were so much larger than his own paws, perhaps even twice the size today, considering the way that Kal had grown them. Kajiit blushed as his toes wiggled, imagining being under paws that were so large.

Heh, you don't have to imagine. Let me show you.

"Wha - Whoa!"

His body leaned forward. The Crux was insanely flexible, making him bend at the waist while keeping his legs pointed straight ahead. As soon as he was almost laying on his legs, Kal flexed them, bending them at the knees to bring the soles and the toes towards his face. Kajiit could hardly believe what was happening; he was about to get smothered under his own paws.

They pressed against him, the soft, almost latex-like feeling of those big paws pressing down against his furry face. He couldn't pull away; the rest of his body was completely under the control of the Crux, and it wiggled those toes against his cheeks and made him wrap his arms around his legs, keeping him pinned.

Go on, give them a few sniffs, or licks. You know you want to.

"But...but what if someone sees me?"

Heh, the longer you wait, the more likely that is. So you better hurry up before someone comes to see who's making all the moans down here in the alley.

He blushed, but the Crux had a good point. Better to hurry along and hope that he had some good luck, rather than wait until it was all used up.

Kajiit leaned forward, grinding his cheek against the large toes, feeling them clench down on his cheeks, pulling on his fur, covering his nose. Every little touch made him shiver, made him moan, made him feel...relaxed.

That's it...just relax...

It was almost impossible to resist, not only because of his body being under the control of someone else, but also for the simple reason that he...that he...

Didn't want to.

As extreme as this was - and as dangerous - he needed to relax. He was stressing out so much from the job problems, from the finance problems, to everything that he had to do to keep Kal hidden, that he was quickly approaching a need for medication. If he didn't relax...

Relax...

Relax...

Kajiit groaned as he nuzzled against those slippery toes, feeling them rubbing his cheeks and petting his head again and again as he kept up the attention to them. They were like playful hands, petting him as though he were a good cat for someone else.

That's it...just let me help you...

Any other time, he wouldn't have given in, but with all his worries, and his guilt at how he had treated Kal, he couldn't hold back. Kajiit nodded, closing his eyes as he felt the blue and white running over him, covering his head and changing him, consuming him, transforming him as the Crux took control.

He slipped into the back of his own head, barely able to see through the tinted lenses that were the Crux's eyes. Kal took his body and rolled him up to a seated position, holding one foot in hand while the other -

Mmmph...

"Hehehe, feels good, Kajiit? I bet it does. You haven't actually played with this thing for days, with all the work you're doing."

Work...

"It's not needed, really. Come on, just play around for a bit. Or better yet, let me play around...I know how to really, really party."

Party...

He moaned as the soft, smooth Crux paw wrapped around his cock, stroking it as it got a little bit bigger from the way that the transformation worked. The big paw pressed against his face, still, but it was no longer rubbing fur. Instead, Kal petted them with the big paw, rubbing it against his cheek and his nose as he stroked their cock together.

Kajiit had no way of processing it all, moaning in the back of their shared body. Every pet from the paw smothered his thoughts, and every stroke of the cock seemed to take him higher towards a blissful orgasm. He panted, wanting to thrust, wanting to lick, but he was no longer in control. Instead, Kal was, and the Crux was savoring his time in charge, taking his time to enjoy everything that he could do.

Soon, both paws were back in his face, and instead of a hand wrapped around his shaft, it was Kal's tail. Stroke, stroke, sniff sniff, nuzzle nuzzle. It kept repeating as Kal submerged them both in the pleasures that they so seldom got to play with. Kajiit shivered and moaned, unable to think, unable to worry, only able to experience the pleasures that were presented to him. He felt like he was floating away, drifting off on a sea of utter pleasure and relaxation. Nothing to worry about, nothing to think about...

Kal smiled to himself as he felt his other half drift away in the back of his head, muttering little nothings to himself. The Crux slowly pulled his feet down from his face, standing up to stretch but never stopping the slow stroking of his cock. His tail was remarkably good for that, he was finding out.

Business, business, business, always thinking about business. Can't he just have fun for the sake of fun?

The Crux shook his head as he walked towards the edge of the alley, his naked body shimmering like someone covered in oil. Nobody had seen him yet - a bit of a crime, if you were to ask him - but he imagined that wouldn't last long if he tried to cross the street.

Perhaps the roof was an option? He looked up, spotting a ladder.

As he climbed it, he tried to process the different things that Kajiit had tried to tell him earlier. The Crux had understood the emotions coming from the cat, could tell that he was upset, but he couldn't get why. Why did he want to do all this stuff that stressed him out? Why wouldn't he want to party? There were always ways to do it, money or no money. Whatever money was, anyway.

He pulled himself up on the roof, wiggling his big toes against the rough top as he glanced around. Several rooftops were close enough to leap to, and weren't of a long fall, either. He could make his way back to their shared home without too much trouble from up here, and - more to the point - he might be able to flash a few people on the way. So much fun, indeed.
