Justin awoke in the middle of a gravel path, in the middle of what looked like a park. He stood and brushed off the random dirt and gravel that was on his black cloak.

"The hell?" He said while looking at himself. "I still have this on? Heh, from the massive winds I encountered, I expected to be half freakin' naked."

He began to look around, and heard some noises. Cars, buses even trucks traveling down a road nearby. As he stood there, he swiveled in his place, looking at all the trees, the gravel path, and the neatly trimmed bushes.

"Heh, looks like Central Park of New York..." He said while looking around.

"Wait a minute." He said astonished. "Central Park is like a safe haven for any and all birds in New York...where the hell are they...and as a matter of fact, how the hell did I end up in Central Park?"

Then he heard the sound of crunching gravel, and some whistling. It grew louder, and louder, coming near him.

"Oh, a person. I can ask them for directions, or where the hell I am." He said joyfully.

"Crap!" Justin yelled as he looked down. "I still have my cloak on!"

Justin's cloak was a midnight black color, that reached all the way down his legs, and nearly covered his feet. Upon it, it was decorated with extremely important symbols, all of which held their own meaning, to of which only he, and his brothers of the highest order knew about.

"No! These symbols shouldn't ever be seen in public! They are highly sensitive!" He screamed in his head.

But as he saw the person coming down the slightly curved path, that trouble of seeing the symbols paled in comparison to what he saw. What he saw was a lion, walking on it's two back legs like a human, whistling as it looked around. It didn't seem to notice him as he stood still, completely astonished. Soon fear grew as the lion continued walking his way.

Immediately, he jumped into the nearest bush. Once in the bush he muttered some words, and the photoreceptor plates, hidden by the symbols on his cloak activated, causing him to blend into the bush he was in.

The photoreceptor plates caused him to blend into anything he stood in front of. Walls, trees, anything. However, he didn't blend in completely to anything. If you looked closely, you could still see the faint shimmer of the outline of his body if he moved. To put it into perspective, he basically looked like the predator when it had it's active camouflage activated.

"It didn't blend in completely to the background..." Justin muttered. "But it was good enough for quick escapes and ambushes."

As the lion passed Justin by, it stopped and sniffed the air.

"It smells me?!" He screamed in his head.

But just as quickly as the lion stopped, it shook it's head, and continued walking down the gravel path, until it was out of sight. Justin then jumped out of the bush, and deactivated the camouflage.

"Man, what the hell is this place." He muttered.

Justin then began running in the opposite direction of the lion, and soon came across the entrance to the park. The sign didn't read anything, but Justin knew this place was too small to be New York. He looked around and saw small shops, and stores all aligned along a street.

"Must be main street." He thought.

Continuing down across the street, he noticed this entire place was FULL of walking creatures. Horses, Felines, Wolfs, everything that walked was an animal.

"Ok, I'm starting to wonder...did I get blasted forward in time like a thousand years? Did evolution happen differently?" He thought as he walked.

"No...me and my brothers would never have let this future happen..." He mumbled while shaking his head.

Suddenly he ran into something, and fell backwards onto the sidewalk. Realizing the animals could now see his face, he quickly pulled the hood back over his head, and looked to the side. He was looking to the side, when a paw obscured his vision.

"Need some help? Terribly sorry, I wasn't paying attention." A voice said.

Justin lay there, looking at the paw. It's color was that of a light brown/tan color, and looked to be the size of his hand. He also noticed the voice sounded gentle, forgiving. Almost like a female's.

He covered his hand with his long sleeve so it couldn‘t see his human hand, then took the offered paw. As he stood, he did indeed found it was a female. A female Cougar. All around her eyes, and eye socket was the color brown, then the rest of her fur was that same light brown/tan color as her paw. The only difference in color was her white tipped tail, and the small white streak on her bellybutton.

"Sorry bout that." The female said again while smiling. "I was distracted."

"Oh, no problem." Justin said while clearing his throat.

"You look like your lost. Are you new here?" Asked the Cougar.

"Well...you could say that." Replied Justin as he shifted glances under his hood.

"Oh, well in that case, you can come and visit with me and my mother. We enjoy guests. It's, unfortunately, as much excitement as we get around here anymore." She said while gesturing down the sidewalk, smiling.

"Heh, oh no, I don't want to be any trouble." Justin replied waving his covered hands slightly.

"Yea, or eaten." He quickly said under his breath.

"Well, then where would you stay?" She asked concern raising in her voice.

"Is there a hotel I may check into?" Asked Justin.

"Yea, with what money?! You don't even know what their currency looks like!" He screamed in his mind.

"Oh no! You're not going to spend a ton of cash on that overpriced place, plus, it has a horrible view. Our house is located above a river. Wonderful view, free of charge! C'mon. It won't hurt, my mother won't mind, she adores guests." She persisted.

"Well considering the circumstances..." Justin trailed off.

"Wonderful!" Cried the young Cougar as she grabbed his covered hand and ran with him.

"God...please, what ever realm or alternate existence I am in, help me!" Justin whined in his mind.
