Dingo's Choice - Part III

"For prying into other people's affairs, none are equal to those of whom it is no concern." - Victor Hugo, Les Miserables

"Now Kodiack, Dusty, tell them exactly what you told me,"Doc said, gesturing to Balto and Jenna, who had just come into the boiler room.

"Mom, Dad,"Kodi began, his voice shaking slightly, "Dusty and I... We were going to take a walk on the beach, but then we heard this noise, and..."

Both Balto and Jenna kept very quiet as Kodi and Dusty explained what they'd seen. Though Balto's expression remained stoic and indecipherable, Jenna looked visibly distressed almost to the verge of tears by the end. When Kodi and Dusty finally finished, Balto sighed pensively and appeared to be deep in thought. Jenna, on the other paw, turned to Doc.

"What are you going to do?"she asked, beginning to fear the answer.

"Me?"Doc replied, his voice full of genuine surprise. "What would you expect me to do, Miss Jenna?"

Jenna gasped and took a step toward him.

"You mean...he's not in trouble? There won't be some sort of punishment?"

"Miss Jenna, from what I can tell, your son Dingo has simultaneously fallen in love with two females, who have likewise fallen in love with him. Though what Dingo has done is unorthodox, it is not against the law. If you wish to separate these three, then you must do so on your own."

At this news, Jenna calmed noticeably, then turned and looked back at Balto, who finally met her gaze.

"I should have guessed something was going on,"Balto sighed. "Dingo didn't quite act like himself yesterday."

Jenna began to look worried again.

"What should we do now?"she asked him softly.

Balto set his jaw and swallowed hard.

"I want to talk to those three before we jump to any conclusions,"he said finally. "We'll sort this out as a family."He turned to Doc. "Please, don't tell anyone about this. It may not be against the law, but it's sure to be seen as a scandal. If need be, we'll address the town together."

"Of course,"Doc said with a nod.

"And Kodi, Dusty,"Jenna continued. "Not a word to anyone, please."

Kodi and Dusty nodded hastily.

Satisfied, Balto and Jenna turned to leave, but Kodi spoke up.

"Dad...Mom... It was my idea to stay and...er...watch Dingo and the girls. I don't want Dusty to be dragged into this."

Balto looked back over his shoulder at his son.

"You and I will have a long talk about that later, Kodiack,"he said firmly. "But until then, we'll push it aside. I just hope you can justify spying on your brother."

With that, he and Jenna padded out into the night, heading toward the beach.

Kodi sighed as his parents walked out of the boiler room. He'd seen the look on his father's face, and knew he was in for one long talk when all this was over. Dusty stepped up beside him and pushed her muzzle under his.

"It's alright, Kodi,"she soothed. "I just hope we did the right thing."

"So do I,"added Doc, causing the two to turn their heads. "Are you certain you never saw Becky or Naomi before?"

"Yes, of course,"Kodi replied. "That's why this doesn't make much sense. Could all three of them really fall in love in just one night?"

"They could if two of them didn't need persuading,"interrupted a voice from the doorway.

Dusty, Kodi and Doc all turned around.

"And who are you?"Doc queried the stranger, still unrecognizable in the darkness outside.

"I'm just a stranger passing through."He stepped into the light of the boiler room. "You can call me Marcus."

Dusty and Kodi stepped closer to get a better look at the newcomer. His chest and stomach were white, as were the tips of his paws, but the rest of his fur was a dark black.

"I've had dealings with those two, Becky and Naomi,"he continued. "They're both, shall we say, very willing to lend themselves."

"Marcus, if you have something to lay against these two,"Doc warned, "you best come right out and say it."

"Alright,"Marcus replied with a bit of a smile. "I've known both Naomi and Becky for years, and I say to you now that they are anything but truthful in their 'love' for your friend Dingo."

"And what makes you say such a thing?"Dusty inquired, narrowing her eyes in annoyance.

What Marcus said next shocked all three of them.

Meanwhile, Balto and Jenna padded slowly down Main Street, both silent until Jenna spoke up.

"What are we going to say?"

Balto remained quiet for a several seconds.

"Let's just hear their side of the story first. Dingo's always had a good head on his shoulders. I'm sure there something we're not seeing here."

Jenna nodded, and sniffled a bit. Balto looked over at her and stopped walking. Jena stopped beside him.

"Here, dry those tears,"he said, brushing her eyes gently with the back of his fore paw. "We're just going to talk to them. We're not upset, and we're not angry; we've no reason to be."

Jenna nodded and sniffed back her tears.

"At least he won't be punished,"she said. "But, Dingo's always been so shy; very polite, but still shy. Could he really have fallen in love at first sight?"

Balto gave a small smile.

"I seem to recall a wolf-dog who did just that when he first spied a beautiful red and white husky."Jenna looked at him and smiled. "And I think they've turned out alright."

He nuzzled her neck, and she did the same to him.

"Still, nothing like this has ever happened,"Jenna said.

"That's why we're talking through this as a family,"Balto replied. "Now let's go find them."

At the same moment, Dingo gave a deep sigh as he opened his eyes. Becky lay cradled in his embrace, panting softly but smiling.

"Oh, Dingo... That was amazing,"she said, running a paw across his cheek. "Thank you so much."

As he smiled back at her, he felt the warmth of another body behind him.

"That was fun,"he heard Naomi say. "You two sure put on a good show."

Once he'd pulled out of Becky, Dingo rolled over, laying on his stomach between them both.

"You and Dingo weren't bad, either,"Becky replied. "I didn't even have to open my eyes. Your moans and grunts were enough; I could see everything clearly in my head."

Becky moved closer and began to snuggle against Dingo's side as Naomi did the same, but a sudden gust made them all shiver.

"We'd better find a place to spend the night,"Naomi said. "At least until you introduce us to your owner."

Dingo nodded in agreement.

"I think the boiler room will do just fine,"Becky added, winking at Naomi. "I wouldn't mind warming up a bit."

Naomi gave a smirk as Dingo, too, smiled knowingly.

"Alright then, let's go."

Balto scented the air as he and Jenna stepped out onto a long stretch of beach. Dingo's scent still remained, along with the distinct aroma of two females who he could only guess were Becky and Naomi. At the same time, he noticed three sets of paw prints in the sand; they were very close together, side-by-side. He looked down the beach, expecting to spot them, but was surprised to find the beach quite vacant.

"They're gone,"Jenna murmured.

"Well, we may not be able to see them, but we know they went this way,"Balto replied. "We'll follow their tracks."

As Balto and Jenna moved further down the beach away from town, the objects of their search were walking in the other direction through Nome's deserted streets, just out of range of Balto's keen ears. Aside from their foot falls, not a sound could be heard. Never the less, all three exchanged naughty smirks as they neared the boiler room. When they reached it, Dingo pushed the door open and held it there as Becky and Naomi padded past him, each one planting a kiss on his cheek. With a grin, Dingo followed them.

Only then, when their eyes took in their surroundings, did the voices prodding at their ears bring them out of their collective day dream.

Doc, the wise old St. Bernard and town judge, bore the face of one giving serious consideration to what he was hearing. The speaker, a black husky with white paws and a white chest, seemed to have just finished speaking; Dingo had never seen him before. To the stranger's front, also seeming to weigh what they had heard, were Kodi and Dusty.

"...Well, this is quite a compelling story,"Doc was saying, "but before anything else is said-"

Just then, Kodi spotted Dingo and the girls and cleared his throat. At this, Dusty and Doc shifted their gaze to the trio standing in the doorway.

"Dingo..."Kodi began hesitantly. "We were just going to look for you."

"Me? Why?"Dingo asked, eyeing the black husky suspiciously. "Is something wrong?"

"I would say so,"the black husky replied, turning swiftly around to face the three.

Upon seeing the stranger's face, Becky and Naomi gasped.

"Marcus!"Becky whispered.

"Hi there, Becky,"he replied with a toothy grin. "Still up to your old games, I see."

He looked decidedly at Dingo and shook his head.

"I-I don't know what you're talking about,"Becky said.

"Oh, but I think you do. Don't you remember leaving me standing there in front of the General Store in Juneau? I missed you, Becky."

At this, Becky's expression quickly turned from confusion to anger.

"When I left you, Marcus, you were still going on about how I'd never find someone like you in a million years,"she growled. "And I'm thankful for every day I don't find someone like you."

Marcus' smile faded.

"Why you ungrateful- Do you know how much it hurt me when you walked away?"

"If it hurt at all, you didn't show it."

"Who do you think you are to say that?"he snarled. "Would any self-respecting male just break down in the middle of the street, with everyone watching?"

"Why you lying piece of-! If you really cared for me-"

"I did really care about you!"

"How can you say that when you- ?"

"All of you stop, please!"

Instantly, all eyes turned to Doc, who looked to each dog, one by one, before settling his gaze on Marcus.

"Now, you've told quite a story, Marcus, but if you're looking for a trial-"

"A trial?!"Dingo exclaimed. "What on Earth for?"

"Dingo, please!"Doc replied quickly, before addressing Marcus again. "There will be no need for a trial."

"Under what conditions would you deny me a trial?"

"As I tried to explain earlier, Marcus, this is not a matter to be discussed here. What happened back in Juneau is beyond my jurisdiction."

Marcus appeared unprepared for this news.

"So you're just going to let this girl walk away from me, her mate, and go to another guy without consequences?"

At the word "mate,"Dingo flinched and cast a confused and distressed glance at Becky.

"Marcus, let me explain Nome's legal system to you. It should be no different than the one in your town. First, the judge must be told of the event and confirm that a crime has been committed. It is this point that I want to stress the most; frankly, I still require proof of the crime. In this case, that would be two witnesses, yourself not included, and since you have no one to confirm what you have told me tonight, I could not grant you a trial even if it were allowed by the law. The most I could do is to extradite Miss Becky back to Juneau, in which case the worst that could happen to her would be her banishment from the town; since you made no mention of any children, there would be no restraint on her movements once she left the town. If that were to happen, she would more than likely return here."

The boiler room was silent.

"While I won't stop you from requesting that Becky be extradited back to Juneau, I want to ensure that you understand what the result will likely be. In all fairness, this would just be a waste of your time and mine."

Marcus remained still and quiet for a moment, unable or unwilling to speak. Then, without a word, he turned and walked out of the boiler room. Becky breathed a sigh of relief. Naomi wasted no time in thanking Doc. Dingo, however, was slow to join in thanking him, keeping his eyes mostly on Becky.

"Thank you so much, Doc,"Naomi said. "I don't know what we would have done!"

"Well, you're welcome, Naomi,"he replied, moving slowly past them with a nod. "Take care, you three. I'm going home to rest, and I suggest you do the same."

"We will, sir,"Becky said with a nod. "In fact, would it be alright to sleep here tonight?"

"Of course, Becky."Doc quickly eyed the three canines and gauged their feelings. "Just close the door if you want privacy. Everyone is entitled to the use of the boiler room, but there are other places where someone could spend the night."

And with that, he turned and walked out. He'd barely covered a dozen paces, though, when Balto and Jenna came walking up to him.

"Doc, we can't find Dingo or the girls,"Jenna began. "Have you seen them?"

"Seen them? We've just resolved a potentially harmful confrontation with a visitor from out of town."

"What?"Balto whispered urgently. "What do you mean?"

Doc sighed, weary from a long day and not relishing another long conversation.

"It seems that Becky has not always been single, and her last separation was rather upsetting to the male. If you wish to know more, Dingo, Becky and Naomi are all in the boiler room, as are Dusty and Kodiack. I'm certain they will be happy to oblige you with information. Should you have any further questions tomorrow, I shall be returning to the boiler room around noon."

"Oh, well, alright,"Balto conceded, stepping aside to allow Doc to pass. "Good night."

"Good night, then, Balto, Miss Jenna,"Doc replied, nodding to each canine in turn before padding on down the street.

As Doc left, Balto and Jenna met each other's gaze for a moment before Balto simply nodded and started toward the boiler room. Jenna fell in behind him. When they padded into the room side-by-side, they found Dingo, Becky and Naomi sitting across from Kodi and Dusty; neither group was speaking. Jenna took advantage of the silence.

"Dingo, honey,"she began, walking quickly up to him, but stopping short of nuzzling him. "You must be the girls Balto told about. I heard you've been...uh, keeping my son company."

At this, Dingo felt his cheeks flush a shade of pink. Despite the obvious implications of his mother's hesitation, he and the girls tried to downplay them as much as possible.

"Yes, ma'am,"Naomi replied. "You're son's a fine gentleman."

"And very nice, too,"Becky added. "He was kind enough to show us around town today."

"Oh, good, I'm glad,"Jenna replied, turning to Dingo again. "Is that where you've been? We've been looking for you."

"Why is everyone looking for me today?"Dingo sighed, growing frustrated. "Just yesterday, no one cared where I went or who I was with!"

Balto stepped toward him, not wanting his son to grow even more frustrated.

"Dingo..."he began calmly.

Jenna, however, could sense that Dingo was in no mood to keep talking, at least not to her or Balto. In fact, his body language betrayed his uneasiness with one of the girls that sat on either side of him.

"We'll talk about this tomorrow, dear,"she said softly. "You three just...get some sleep."

At this, Dingo calmed considerably.

"Thanks, Mom,"he said, shaking his head. "I just have a lot on my mind right now."

"We'll talk tomorrow morning, Dingo."She nuzzled him and then padded over to Balto. "Good night."

"Good night Mom, Dad."

"Good night, Dingo,"Balto replied. "Good night everyone."

Kodi and Dusty nodded to Balto, as did Becky and Naomi. Once he and Jenna had left and the sound of their foot falls faded away, though, Dingo looked directly at Kodi and opened his muzzle to speak. Kodi spoke first.

"Dingo, wait. Before you say anything, I want to apologize."

"What fo... You!? You told Doc!? Why did you do that?"

Kodi hesitated, but then sighed and looked his brother in the eye.

"Dusty and I saw you three down on the beach earlier."

Becky and Naomi gasped, their cheeks blushing pink at the thought. Dingo simply sat still for a moment, his muzzle half-open in shock. Then, his cheeks quickly turned bright red, not from embarrassment, but from anger.

"So, you spied on us,"he hissed, his voice soft but his eyes blazing. "And then you went and told Doc about it like it was some big juicy scandal."

"Dingo, I... We didn't mean..."Kodi stammered.

"Just get out,"Dingo sighed, shutting his eyes tightly. "I don't want to talk to you right now."

"Dingo..."Dusty whimpered.

"Please just leave."Dingo's voice remained calm and controlled. "I'll talk to you both tomorrow, I promise. I just need time."

So, Kodi and Dusty, sad but understanding, stood and padded out of the boiler room. Becky and Naomi followed them with their eyes, and then turned to look at Dingo. Dingo sat quite still between them, his closed eyes downcast as he heaved a sigh.

"I can't believe Kodi would do something like that,"he said sadly. "And then to go and shoot his mouth off to Doc. This is none of his business."

"Oh, Dingo, it'll be alright,"Becky soothed. "You and Kodi will work this out. After all, no harm's been done, right?"

At this, Dingo finally opened his eyes and looked at Becky.

"Not by him..."

"Dingo, if this is about Marcus-"

"It is."

"Now that Doc's sent him away, we won't have any trouble from him. There's no need to worry."

Dingo shook his head.

"You never told me you already had a boyfriend."

"A boyfriend? Dingo I wouldn't- If you think I would lead you on like that..."

"Maybe I can explain this better,"Naomi cut in, her voice calm. "First off, everything Marcus said was a lie. Becky and Marcus were seeing each other two weeks ago, but she cut that off when she found Marcus sneaking out at night to see his other girlfriends."

Dingo, who had been listening closely, nodded and motioned for her to go on.

"Well, I'd known Naomi since we were pups; our parents were friends, too,"Becky continued. "So, I told her I was leaving town. I wasn't going to hang around to be chatted up to my face, then laughed at behind my back."

"And I told her, 'If you're not staying here, then neither am I,'"Naomi said with a laugh. "I mean, I didn't have a guy either, so we said good bye to our parents and slipped out that night."

"You know what hurt me the most? When Naomi and I were walked toward the edge of town, I stopped and looked in the window of Marcus' little love shack. The playboy was still there, surrounded by the call girls he loved more than me."

"The bastard always had a silver tongue to match those devilish good looks..."

"But he did do one decent thing for me..."Becky said.

Naomi looked at Becky, confused, but quickly realized what she meant and joined in.

"And for me."

Dingo, still confused, looked from one girl to the other.

"What?"

Becky leaned in close to Dingo until her nose brushed the fur on his cheek.

"He sent me straight to you,"she whispered, nuzzling his neck.

"He practically sent both of us,"Naomi added. "We knew we'd miss each other too much if I stayed behind."

"And just look at us now. Who would have guessed something so terrible..."Becky looked at Dingo and smiled warmly. "...would turn into something so very wonderful?"

Dingo blushed and smiled sheepishly.

"You're the best thing that's ever happened to either of us, Dingo, and we'll so happy you're with us."

Naomi kissed him on the cheek, and Becky did the same.

"Thanks, girls. As long as you're happy, I'm happy."

"Aw, Dingo..."Becky murmured. "You're such a sweetie."

"Now, enough about making us happy. It's time we made you happy today, Dingo."Naomi motioned to the cushion. "Lie down, dear, and leave the rest to us."

Dingo smiled and nodded.

"As you wish,"he replied simply, "but first, let me get the kinks out of my legs."

With an exaggerated groan, he leaned back, stretching out his fore paws to their extent and straining his muscles for a moment. Then, he simply rocked forward and repeated the motion with his hind legs. This, however, attracted both Becky and Naomi's attention. His muscles were made all the more obvious by his exertion, and they followed them with their eyes down his sides to the top of his leg...and between them. Dingo's cock had only begun to emerge from its sheath, but it was more than enough to get them excited. Naomi, who was going to turn and shut the door quietly, simply kicked it with her back leg. This caused Dingo to stop abruptly and look to them, startled. Becky and Naomi just looked at his quivering leg muscles for a moment before they realized his eyes were on them. By the time they met his gaze, he gave a little smirk.

"Enjoying the view?"he asked mischievously.

"Very much,"Naomi replied. "Would you do that first stretch again, please?"

Dingo nodded and leaned back onto his rear legs, straining his fore legs slightly. Becky and Naomi smiled approvingly and walked around him, eyeing him from every angle, but especially his back. From there, they could clearly see his dangling cock and his furry balls clenched tight to his body. Though his cock had grown a bit more out of its sheath, it still hung limp. Becky clicked her tongue.

"This will never do,"she said, leaning down between his hind legs to nuzzle his balls and run her tongue along his cock.

Dingo moaned softly, gritting his teeth. Becky grinned as his shaft hardened and stuck straight out.

"That's better,"she said. "Dingo, would you do that other stretch now?"

Dingo nodded and leaned forward, thrusting his chest - and his hardened cock - forward as he strained his back legs. Both girls cooed in adoration. Becky, feeling a bit bold, ducked underneath Dingo and wrapped her muzzle around his cock. Dingo exhaled heavily, his eyes closed happily as she began to move her muzzle back and forth along his shaft. As Becky worked his shaft, Naomi began to circle them both, stopping to nuzzle Dingo lovingly and kiss him on the lips. Dingo, his eyes still closed, moaned his happiness and pressed his lips even harder against Naomi's, straining toward her even as his hind legs began to quiver. After a minute or two, though, Dingo broke the kiss to look over his shoulder; Becky had released his cock and was just starting to lick his balls.

"Becky...oh...I have t-to move my legs,"he heaved.

Becky looked back at him with bright, mischievous eyes.

"Aw, is my big, strong boy getting tired?"She kissed his tip. "Alright, then. Down you go."

Thankful, Dingo drew back from Naomi and brought his hind legs forward to their rightful positions. Even so, his leg muscles seemed so strained that he could barely stand.

"Becky, you'd better get Dingo a cushion before he falls on his ass,"Naomi laughed.

"It'd be such a shame, too."Becky replied, climbing out from underneath him. "It's such a cute little ass."

As she got up to get the cushion, she smacked Dingo playfully under his tail, and he yelped appropriately. The girls laughed.

"Hey!"he grumbled with a laugh of his own. "Take it easy."

"Oh, don't worry, darling,"Naomi cooed. "we don't bite...unless you ask us to."

"Hmm, we'll see about that,"Dingo murmured, smelling more than seeing their fast-growing arousal. "Why don't you two lie down? Looks like you need that cushion more than me."

Naomi and Becky nodded and quickly laid down on the cushion facing Dingo.

"Alright Dingo,"Becky said. "What do you want us to do now?"

Dingo said nothing; he simply grinned and twirled his paw in a circle. Becky and Naomi stood up and turned around, presenting their back ends to their mutual love. Dingo smiled in approval. Then, he walked slowly over to the two, letting their minds run wild as his claws clicked ominously across the wood floor. Once he was right behind them, he looked from one tail to the other, admiring their curves, eying their dripping sexes. He noted, perhaps for the first time, that Becky's tan fur receded enough for a black patch around her sacredness. Naomi's own brown fur, however, ran all the way down her back and across her chest to surround her cunny. Both of them looked, and smelled, like they had never been laid before, even though all three of them knew that wasn't the case. Without even realizing, he had fallen into a sort of trance, glancing from one behind to the other. It was almost as though he was being guided by something more than his own thoughts, more than his instinct...

His silence lasted a few seconds too long.

"Dingo,"Naomi whispered. "what are you-"

Suddenly, she broke off with a gasp when she felt Dingo's hot breath on her sacredness.

"H-h-haa...ah..."

Dingo smirked before running his tongue once across her folds, making her shiver. Then, before Becky had time to feel jealous, he did the same to her. Her gasp was much louder.

"Oh! Ohhhh, yeah..."

Becky let her forelegs drop, sliding down to rest her head on the floor while leaving her tail in the air. Dingo leaned into her, snaking his tongue as far in as possible, wriggling it around as he did. Becky's gasps came louder and louder, melting into moans. Every flick of his tongue inside her was like the crack of a growing fire, rising in heat and intensity. As she moaned out her pleasure, Dingo hummed a bit, slowly withdrawing his tongue from within her. At this, Becky opened her eyes, which had been closed in bliss since he first touched her.

"Dingo...wha...what are..."

Dingo, for his part, drew back, wrapped his paws around her stomach and mounted her. His throbbing member prodded at her entrance a few times, just to make good and certain she was ready. Then, with one quick thrust, he was inside her up to the hilt. Becky cried out in bliss as he began to thrust in and out of her; whenever she wasn't moaning, she was gritting her teeth, fighting back her own intensifying arousal.

"Oh! Oh my god, yes! Yes! Yes!"she whimpered. "Fuck me, Dingo! Oh! Yes!"

Too soon, it seemed, she felt his knot ram against her opening and her whole body rocked forward with the impact. She braced her forelegs against the floor and extended her claws to tighten her grip.

"Push it in, baby, push it in!"

Dingo gave a low feral growl and with a grunt he slammed his cock into her slit, knot and all. Becky cried out when she felt him enter her. With every thrust, her cries became more and more ragged. Dingo, on the other hand, wanted to feel as much as he could from the experience. He quickly latched his paws around Becky's stomach and hoisted her up to stand on all four legs; Becky hummed happily when he rested his whole body on top of hers, supporting himself more on her than his own back legs. He did his best to hold her up against his chest, nuzzling her as he pounded his shaft up her. By now, Becky's body shook every time their bodies met with a wet slap. After only a short while, Becky's whole body shuddered as she rose to climax.

"Ah...ah...ah...ah, ah, ah, AAHHHH!"

As joyous convulsions wracked her body, Becky let her eyes roll back and her tongue loll out, submitting completely to the pleasure Dingo was giving her. Her inner walls squeezed and milked around his rock-hard shaft, tempting him closer to his own release. It worked.

"Becky... Ah, Becky, I'm close!"

"C'mon, baby, let me have it! Don't stop!"

"Ah, ah...AHHH!"Dingo groaned, hugging Becky tight against him as his shaft began pumping his hot seed into her.

Becky let her tongue loll out of her muzzle and began to pant heavily, nearly overcome with the pure pleasure that flowed through her as quickly and smoothly as her own blood. It seemed, though, that her frantically beating heart was sapping blood away from her legs rather than supplying them; she could barely bear her own weight, much less Dingo on top of her.

"Dingo...hah...oh..."she panted. "We...we should lie down..."

Naomi politely stepped off the cushion, allowing Dingo and Becky to tumble over, laughing and panting. Becky let her body relax, cradled in Dingo's paws. Once they'd settled in, Naomi cuddled up on Dingo's other side, waiting out the minutes of his tie. Before long, he managed to free himself from Becky's cunny with a few soft liquid noises. Becky moaned and he smile widened as she settled down to sleep. Once he had, Naomi nuzzled him and ran a paw down his back.

"Mmm, when's my turn, big guy?"

Dingo kissed Becky on the back of her neck and nuzzled her one last time before silently rolling over to face Naomi with a grin.

"How about right now?"

With that, he rolled Naomi onto her back and all but pounced on her.

Much later, as the three lovers slept, cuddled together on the cushion, the cold Alaskan wind whistled through the door that they'd been too pre-occupied to close. The shifting snows quickly erased the paw prints just outside.

The next morning, the murmuring of hushed voices woke Dingo. When he first opened his eyes, he found himself still caught between Becky and Naomi. The door, he quickly realized, was half-open, and this immediately raised his concerns, but not enough to make him want to get up. The murmuring died away, and he was more than happy to fall asleep between his two loves, but this was not to be. The door creaked loudly on its hinges as it swung fully open, and all three canines opened their eyes and raised their heads. Kodi stood in the doorway with Dusty beside him, his gaze uncertain and his stance uneasy.

"Um, hey, Dingo... You guys should, uh, wake up and get up... Doc's coming in a bit."

"Oh, well, of course we'll get up,"Dingo said, standing slowly to stretch his legs.

Naomi stood beside him as Becky yawned and shook her head.

"Yes, we wouldn't want..."Becky yawned again. "...to be in anyone's way."

"Especially not if there's a meeting or something going on,"Naomi added. "Dingo, why don't we just-"

"You guys should stay for the meeting,"Kodi said, his voice dropping in volume. "It's...about you; all three of you."

"About us?"Becky said. "But why?"

"What are you talking about, Kodi?"Dingo demanded. "We spoke with Doc last night, remember? We're going to work this out as a family. Why did you...?"

"This wasn't my doing, Dingo."

The three canines looked at each other in collective shock.

"Wait... If not you, then..."

"Alright, guys and girls, clear the way!"

All five canines turned around almost simultaneously. Dingo, Becky and Naomi all moved to the right side of the doorway, while Kodi and Dusty moved to the left side. Out in the street, Kaltag stood at the front of a large group of dogs; Doc stood behind him, and Dixie and Sylvie behind those two. Kaltag had a very serious look on his face, as did Doc, and they filed into the boiler room one after the other. Dixie and Sylvie, on the other hand, had a look of smug satisfaction on their faces, and neither Dingo nor the girls could fathom why, even when both Sylvie and Dixie looked distinctly at them and then turned up their noses. Dingo was the first to speak.

"What...just happened?"

Balto and Jenna were the next to enter the boiler room. They both looked at Dingo, with sympathetic eyes. Dingo didn't know why they looked so sorry for him, and it scared him, very much.

"Dad, what's going on?"

"Dingo..."Balto began, "There's something that..."

"Dingo,"Doc called firmly but respectfully, "if you could please take your place at the head of the courtroom?"

"The court...?"

Dingo stopped suddenly when he realized that everyone in the room, everyone, was looking right at him.

"Becky, Naomi, you may sit next to him or in the crowd, if you wish."

Becky opened her muzzle to reply, but said nothing. She seemed frozen in disbelief. It was Naomi who finally replied.

"We'll sit beside him, your honor."

"As you wish."

The girls turned to Dingo, who looked from one to the other before slowly marching between the two groups of canines gathering in the boiler room. As they parted their ranks for the three, some of Nome's canine citizens snickered under their breath. Again, Dingo and the girls paid no attention. Whether this was out of shock or out of defiance was unclear. Even so, by the time they reached the front of the court, all three were positively confused.

"Then, if the accused is ready...?"

Dingo turned his head and looked at Doc.

"I'm sorry, your honor, what am I being accused of?"

Doc looked him in the eye and replied,

"You, Dingo, are being accused of soliciting call girls."

"I...beg your pardon?"

"Prostitutes, Dingo."

Dingo couldn't contain a look of utter shock. He quickly looked from Becky to Naomi, trying to gauge their responses.

"What is he talking about?"Becky whispered frantically. "You've been with us the whole time!"

"I don't know, but I don't like this,"Naomi replied in a hushed tone. "Something stinks."

"Order!"Doc said calmly. "Order in the court."

The room fell silent.

"Now then, Dingo, you've been called here so we can address a matter of..."he trailed off as he looked to his right, where no one sat, "Where has he gone? I told him-"

"I'm here, your honor,"came a voice from the door. "Please excuse my tardiness. I'm still not quite familiar with this town's layout."

The crowd turned to acknowledge the speaker, as did Doc, Dingo, Becky and Naomi. Only the trio seemed surprised, but their astonishment made up for everyone else's calm.

"Marcus?!"Becky gasped.

The black and white husky looked at her and gave a very calm smile.

"Why, hello Becky. How very nice of you to join us today."

"Marcus, what are you doing?"Dingo said with a frown.

"Well, Dingo, you will see very soon. But let's not interrupt the judge now."

Dingo was about to reply, but Doc cleared his throat, and the room fell silent again. Marcus marched up to the front of the boiler room and sat down opposite Dingo and the girls.

"I want to begin by making one point very clear: This is not a trial. It is a session to determine if a crime has been committed. Normally, these sessions are private, between the concerned party and the party under concern, but as you all know, either party may request that the session be opened to the public. Marcus has made such a request. Now, we will begin with a formal presentation of the object of concern. Marcus?"

"Thank you, your honor,"Marcus replied, turning to the crowd. "Many of you gathered here have mates. Some have been together longer than others, but you all love each other dearly, right? OF course you do. But though you've been tempted by others, you've always resisted, right?"This time, the crowd murmured its affirmation. "I thought so. Well, Dingo here claims to be in love with both Becky and Naomi."The crowd fell into excited whispers. "Yes, incredible, isn't it? Oh, but this is fine. They all love each other. What would you say if I told you that these three only met the night before last?"The excited whispering gave way to excited clamor. "I'm sure the logical explanation is love at first sight, but three? How can two girls simultaneously fall in love with the same guy?"The crowd began to look angrily at Dingo and the girls. "There is another way this could happen..."

"How?"someone shouted over the din.

Marcus looked into the crowd, waited until all eyes were on him, then looked directly at Dingo.

"It wasn't love. It was a service."

"What?"Dingo shouted.

Marcus continued, unaffected by Dingo's outburst.

"I've seen this in Juneau, since we have so many sled teams coming through. Most of the runners are guys, and they're far from home, and they're lonely. But in the towns they visit, including Juneau, they're like celebrities; foreign visitors for night or two. So what do you get when you mix a bunch of sex-starved guys with a town full of girls that practically worship them? A lot of one-night stands."He paused to let the crowd consider what he'd said. "Some girls are a bit more enterprising than the others. They realize the position they're in and they make use of it. Those sled teams carry lots of things: Food, clothes, mail... Well, we don't care for the mail, but it's nice to get something besides dog food to eat, and some of those blankets are real good at keeping out the chill of the night. No one really notices when a few things go missing. A few girls get what they want, and a few one-time celebrities get what they want. Everybody's happy, and the humans are none the wiser."

"Well, that may be true - and I stress may - but none of that applies to Becky, Naomi, or I,"said Dingo. "It sounds to me like you're talking in circles, Marcus."

"I have to agree with Dingo,"Doc added. "Is there a point to this, Marcus?"

"Yes, your honor,"he replied. "You see, it's not limited to the girls. Imagine if the situation was reversed, if a girl or two..."He looked over at Becky and Naomi before turning back to Doc. "...were visiting and just needed a place to stay for the night. Suppose they couldn't find the public rest place, or it just didn't exist?"

"If you're referring to the boiler room, it's common knowledge..."

"Only among Nome's residents,"Marcus interrupted. "Suppose these two girls, new in town, did wander over to the boiler room after a long, cold journey, and the guy in there didn't tell them it was a public place, but instead said they could stay in exchange for...services rendered."

"You're saying that I lied to Becky and Naomi to get them to sleep with me?!"Dingo growled, advancing a step toward the black and white husky. "You're saying I'd take advantage of two girls like that?"

"Oh, I was just speaking hypothetically, but now that you mention it, that story would seem to fit your situation,"Marcus replied innocently. "I mean, it was night time, they were cold and looking for someplace warm to stay the night, you were there... It wouldn't be much of a stretch to imagine.... Especially considering you'd never been with a girl before."

At this remark, Dingo's face went from white to a dark red, his eyes narrowed and his lips curled back, baring his teeth.

"Why, you lousy piece of shit!"he snarled, starting toward Marcus before Naomi held him back.

"What the Hell is wrong with you?"Becky demanded. "Have you just been stalking us?"

"Sit down, the both of you,"Doc demanded. "You're out of line."

"No, in fact, I haven't,"Marcus replied, smirking as Dingo sat down at Doc's command. "I have two others who've seen you three together...bonding, shall we say?"He turned to Doc. "Your honor, if I may, I'd like to call two supporting witnesses to the stand?"

Doc looked at him, and though his discontent was growing, he nodded, reluctantly.

"Girls?"

Just then, Sylvie and Dixie stood up from among the crowd and worked their way to the front of the court, taking their seat again next to Marcus. Dingo, Becky and Naomi looked on in disbelief.

"What is this?"

"Just calling character witnesses, Dingo,"Marcus replied with a small smile. "Patience."He turned to Sylvie and Dixie. "Now, could you two please tell the good citizens of Nome what you've seen?"

"Hold on, your honor,"Dingo interrupted, silencing Marcus' objection with one raised paw. "Let me see if I've got this straight: I'm being put on trial for a crime that doesn't exist by our laws, without a chance to hear my charges or a chance to confront my accuser before the trial. The accuser, by the way, happens to be the estranged ex-boyfriend of one of my girls, and - oh, this is my favorite part - the two star witnesses in this case are two girls widely regarded as the town gossipers!"He looked directly at Doc. "Is that accurate, your honor?"

Doc hesitated and appeared to be considering his answer carefully.

"Yes, Dingo,"he said finally.

Dingo said nothing in reply, only nodded, but his eyes were on the floor. Then, he turned to the crowd.

"And what about you all?"he asked. "What do you think?"

There were a few moments of murmured opinions.

"If you're innocent,"someone called from the back, near the door, "why are you so worried?"

"What are you doing defending a couple of whores?"

"I think the question you should be asking yourselves,"Naomi added, stepping up beside Dingo, "is: Why, if we are who Marcus says we are, do we still stand so close to Dingo?"She paused to let her question sink in. "Why would we continue to support and defend him?"

"Can you pretend,"continued Becky, standing up on Dingo's other side as they faced the crowd, "that anything but love motivates us now?"

"Oh, c'mon, Dingo,"another voice shouted from the midst of the crowd. "You had to have two girls? You couldn't just be happy with one?"

Becky and Naomi both made to reply, but Dingo held up his paw.

"No, I understand."At this, the room fell suddenly silent. "I know why you're all so eager to listen to Marcus. It's because I have two girls standing next to me instead of just one?"No one answered. "That's okay; you don't have to say a word. I can see it on your faces easily enough. But, as long as we're all being so open, I think it's fair to let you all know something."He straightened his posture and looked directly out into the crowd, without a single glance at Doc or Marcus. "I met these two fine young girls two days ago, and we since that time we have made love."He paused and scanned the crowd back and forth, as if daring someone, anyone, to heckle them. No one did. "Well, despite what you may think, we're no different than any of you."He turned his head and nuzzled Becky, then Naomi, before facing the crowd again. "Call it what you want, but I love Naomi and Becky."

"And I love him,"Becky said firmly.

"And I love him,"Naomi echoed just as firmly.

"And there's not a damn thing any of you can do about it."

Then, without another word, the three canines turned and sat down in their places, turning their heads to face Doc. Doc, for his part, sat speechless. Even Marcus couldn't find the words to follow such a public declaration. Finally, though, the black and white out-of-towner found his voice.

"Your honor, with your permission, I would like to continue my examination of the witnesses?"

Although he kept his gaze on Dingo, Becky and Naomi, Doc nodded.

"Good."Marcus cracked his shoulder bones to loosen up. "Now then, would you two please relate what you've seen in relation to this trial?"

"Marcus, need I remind you that this is not a trial?"Doc said, clearing his throat. "This is only a public examination of an incident."

"Of... Of course your honor,"Marcus replied with a small bow. "My mistake."He turned back to Sylvie and Dixie. "If you would please?"

"Well... It was late last night, and we were just walking around, Sylvie and me,"Dixie began. "We were getting cold, so we headed to the boiler room."

"And we were about to go in when we heard this...well..."

"What did you hear?"Marcus pressed.

"Moaning,"Dixie said, forcing down a smirk. "And, you know, we didn't know if someone was hurt or not, so we looked in, and there they were."

"Who are they?"Marcus asked.

"Dingo, Becky and Naomi,"Sylvie said. "We looked in, and these two,"she indicated the girls, "are both standing there with their tails up and their tongues out and he's looking them over like a pair of treats."

Balto and Jenna both gasped in shock as did most of the crowd; they were mortified that their son was being put through such a public ordeal. Their son, on the other hand, was absolutely livid. While Becky and Naomi looked at Marcus in disbelief and shock, Dingo appeared as though he'd sooner kill him rather than suffer him to speak another word.

"I see,"Marcus continued, seeming to grow bolder as Dingo grew angrier. "But was this your first time encountering these three together?"

"No, it wasn't,"Dixie said. "We were passing by the boiler room the night before last when we heard voices we didn't recognize."

"As we got closer, we could hear them more clearly..."

_"Thank you for being such a sweetie,"we heard Becky say. "We really appreciate you sharing the room with us."

The door swung shut in our faces.

"What now?"we heard next. That was Naomi. And finally, there was Dingo.

"All that's left now is to decide who gets the first screwing."_

"And that's all we heard,"Dixie finished. "The rest was...well, a bit muffled."

"Hmmm... I see,"Doc said. "Well, this is certainly compelling evidence."

"Only doing our civic duty, your honor,"Dixie replied.

"You lying bitch!"Naomi shouted, leaping to her feet, her eyes boring into Dixie's.

Instantly, all eyes were on this enraged brown and white husky.

"Miss, you're out of order,"Doc said. "Take your seat."

"No, your honor, I will not,"she replied, the hair on the back of her neck spiking up in her fury. "Dixie is lying."

"I am not!"Dixie insisted.

"Don't fret, Dixie,"Marcus chuckled. "It's natural for the accused to violently defend themselves."

"Your honor, she's lying, and I can prove it,"Naomi pleaded. "Please, won't you give us a chance to defend ourselves instead of just sitting there?"

"Alright, but be brief,"Doc conceded.

Naomi nodded, then approached Dixie slowly, letting her anger simmer.

"Tell me, Dixie,"she said. "How certain are you of what you heard through the solid...wood...door?"

Though she heavily emphasized the last three words, Dixie responded to Naomi immediately.

"Absolutely."

"Is that so? Even the line: "Now all that's left is to decide who gets the first screwing"? You're sure Dingo said that?"

"Yes."

"You're wrong,"Naomi said simply.

"How would you know?"

"Because I said that."

There was a collective gasp from the crowd. Even Dixie seemed momentarily stunned.

"No. No, I heard Dingo,"she insisted again.

"You might have, but he didn't say that. He was the one who asked, "What now?"Dixie. Not me. Now, do you see what happened? Dingo didn't force this on us, didn't even ask us to do anything. We asked him!"

"Objection!"Marcus called above the growing din. "She's all but on trial herself. How can we possibly trust her?"

"Yeah, Becky, just sit down,"Dixie said with a laugh. "Can't you just accept losing?"

"Why you-"Naomi growled.

"Wait a minute..."Dingo said calmly, stepping up beside her. "She just called you Becky."

"Of course I did! She is Becky!"Dixie snapped.

The courtroom suddenly fell silent.

"Dixie..."Dingo began softly, gesturing to Naomi. "You're addressing her, correct?"

"Yes, Dingo, I'm talking to Becky."

Both Becky and Naomi gasped.

"Dixie..."Dingo continued. "This is Naomi. Becky's still sitting behind me."

For a moment, you could have heard a pin drop.

"No..."Dixie whispered, turning to Doc. "That's...that's Becky, right? He's just playing with me."

Doc shook his head.

"No, Dixie. The girl you called Becky is actually Naomi."

Dixie's cheeks flushed red and she looked from one girl to the other, but said not a word.

"Your honor, I think the question should be,"began Dingo. "How can we trust Dixie's word? She's supposed to tell the difference between two girls - just two - that she heard through the boiler room door, and she can't. Your honor, I call into question the witness' credibility."

"Now, see here, you can't simply-"Marcus spoke up.

"Oh, will you give it a rest?"Dingo cut in. "Your star witnesses are a fluke."He turned to Sylvie and Dixie. "What made you two come forward, anyway? You sure didn't go to Doc, so what did Marcus say to get you to take part in this farce?"

"I don't know what you're talking about-"Dixie began, her cheeks still red.

"Marcus put us up to it,"Sylvie said plainly.

"Sylvie!"

"Oh, shut up, Dixie! It's over, that's it!"Sylvie snapped, turning to Dingo. "He said he'd sleep with us if we said what he told us to at the hearing."

"That's a lie,"Marcus exclaimed.

"Oh no, Marcus,"Sylvie cackled. "You don't get to back out on us now. If we go down, you go down."

The crowd, by now, was in an uproar. Doc only partially calmed it when he stood up and thundered,

"Order! Order in the court! I say, ORDER!"Finally, the crowd quieted down as he turned on Marcus. "You, Marcus...have committed perjury in a court of law, falsified evidence, bribed witnesses and above all brought false charges on three innocent citizens of this town."At this, Marcus took a step back and half-turned his head toward the door. Doc simply nodded toward the door, and four chow-chows, Nikki among them, stepped through the crowd and surrounded the black and white husky. "Normally, we hold a hearing and then a trial, but seeing as you managed to turn the former into the latter, I feel it is only fair that we show you the same respect you've shown Dingo, Becky and Naomi. So, we'll just skip all that and go right to your sentence. For crimes committed in the town of Nome, you are hereby banished and prohibited from ever re-entering. You will be kept in our custody until tomorrow morning, when we will escort you to the town limits. Should you ever return to Nome, you forfeit all rights and protections that would normally be afforded you within this town. Do you understand?"

Marcus just nodded, his expression one of disbelief and shock.

"And one more thing: You are hereby prevented from ever interacting with Dingo, Becky or Naomi upon penalty of further legal action. Do you understand?"

Again, Marcus simply nodded.

"Good."Doc looked at Nikki. "Get him out of here."

At this, Nikki and the three other police dogs marched Marcus out. He never looked back. Dingo breathed a sigh of relief and nuzzled Becky and Naomi as he disappeared.

"It's all alright now,"he whispered. "He'll never bother us again."

As the crowd fell into so many conversations, Balto, Jenna, Kodi and Buck made their way to the front.

"Well done, son,"Balto said, putting a paw on Dingo's shoulder. "You certainly showed him."

"You all did,"Jenna added, looking at Becky and Naomi. "My son's lucky to have you both."

"And we're lucky to have him,"Becky replied.

Naomi nodded, turning to Dingo.

"I knew we could count on you, Dingo."

She kissed Dingo on the cheek, and he smiled. Just then, Sylvie and Dixie stepped up to the group, but before either of them could say a word, Dingo spoke up.

"Don't."Sylvie and Dixie looked at the floor and turned to leave. "I hope this means that I won't be hearing any stories in the sled team's barn?"The two turned back in confusion. Dingo smiled and looked from Becky to Naomi. "What do you think, girls? Shall we forgive them?"Sylvie and Dixie turned back again as Becky and Naomi nodded. "Alright then. You're forgiven."He nodded toward the door. "Now get out of here."

As Sylvie and Dixie turned away, Balto and Jenna nodded and followed them. Buck pounded Dingo on the shoulder and grinned before following suit. Finally, only Dusty and Kodi remained.

"Well?"Kodi asked.

"Well, what?"Dingo replied, cocking his head.

"Did you want to talk today?"

"Oh, for the love of... I don't ever want to talk about this again,"Dingo groaned. "Just forget it and go on with your lives, please!"

With a smile, Kodi and Dusty nodded and left. The crowd, too, filtered out into the street and before long no one was left but Dingo and the girls. They were just looking at each other as if to say, "What a day"when Doc came back in.

"Dingo, Becky, Naomi,"he began. "I want to start by conveying my most sincere apologies..."Dingo held up his paw and smiled. "Alright. Well, then, I thought I should let you know, before I leave, that I was mightily impressed by your legal maneuvering today. And, as you know, I'm not getting any younger, so when the judge's chair is made vacant, I know one dog who ought to strongly consider running in the election."

Dingo was shocked.

"What, you mean me?"Doc nodded. "Um... Wow, I never even considered... I don't think I could do that."

"Give it time. Think about it. That's all I ask."

"Alright,"Dingo said with a nod.

"Alright,"Doc replied, turning toward the door. "Enjoy the rest of your day, you three."

And with that, he was gone, too, leaving them alone. Almost simultaneously, they collapsed onto the wood floor. And there they lay for several long minutes before Becky spoke up.

"Well, what are we going to do all day?"

"I don't know,"replied Naomi. "What do you think, Dingo?"

Dingo looked from one girl to the other and said,

"I'd just like to hold you both. I almost lost you today, and I just want to hold you."

"I like the sound of that,"Becky said.

"I'd like that very much, Dingo,"Naomi agreed.

And so, the three canines curled up on the cushion by the boiler, happy and in love.

The End
