The room closing in Composure broken, my shadowed imagination is about to begin...
Ceiling fan spinning hurricanes my way
I close my eyes & see the uncertainty come out to play
Ants marching across town
I feel each motion so strong, I swear the hotels coming down
Shivers consume my heart like finger tips digging into my very soul
Among the chaos sparks a thought feeding burning fears like coal
The mirror shows something running back & forth, getting louder in its insanity
It laughs in whispers, eyes racing, trying to find more humanity
Delve into the pillow so low, the bottom rises as you fall
Out of the depths of it all, it calmly begins to call
Scattered about the room, emotion sleeps quivering at the silence
The doll of something familiar sits, waiting for a sign of violence
No noise from its demands
It bares drawn teeth, as it clenches solid hands
Fragrance fills the nose that can never take in any sense
Ever cut from its strings, it stands forever tense
Beneath the bottom of it's cold being
With a deep breath, I open my eyes again, & remember, it's not something I'm really seeing
Slivers of light from the windows glow to show I never had anything to control...
Voices, choices, bare to care, I look among the unseen mirror & see what I choose
If it's a battle against my own demons, I'll lose...
