The following information has been designated level six classification. The following Defender is considered extremely dangerous. Any Destructive Incidents involving this Defender should be reported immediately to Defense Council administration using the DI form (89B).

Known History: Because of his family history, Mr. Robertson has been on the Defense Council radar since the age of twelve. Covert observation of this individual by Defense Council personnel has successfully prevented no less than three Destructive Incidents throughout Robertson's youth and also prevented his premature death.

Christopher Robertson's abilities manifested at age fourteen at a friend's birthday party when the friend in question was about to blow out the candles on her birthday cake. Robertson's latent pyrokinetic abilities inadvertently caused the flames to leap from the candles and onto the paper tablecloth, which nearly resulted in a deadly conflagration. It was due to quick action from Class A Defender "Wendigo" and Class S Defender "Mighty Steel" that prevented the incident from causing serious damage.

As Robertson grew, he came to understand that he was the cause of the birthday incident (designated CR-1 in incident records) and began experimenting with his abilities. It is believed that this experimentation caused his powers to develop into actual Molecular Manipulation (see the Ability Details section below). Two further incidents (designated CR-2 and CR-3) at age eighteen were prevented by Class B Defender "Deluge" and Class S Defender "Mighty Steel" respectively. Incident CR-3 nearly resulted in the loss of Robertson's own life and left him badly scarred by his own flames. At age twenty-four, with help from his family's vast fortune, he built himself a protective suit of armor using an extensive knowledge of mechanical engineering that he had obtained while enrolled in university. When asked, Robertson claims to have been inspired by Class S Defender "Mighty Steel," who also uses a high tech, weaponized suit of armor to combat crime.

It was at this time that Robertson officially applied to the Defense Council when Class A Defender "Wendigo" suggested he do so. However, Robertson was not granted any Defense Council classification until age twenty eight due to his previous status as a high risk, supernatural individual.

Ability Details: Robertson has scored one-hundred and sixty on IQ tests, however it should be noted that while he is very intelligent in regards to invention and mechanical engineering, he tends to lack common sense.

Robertson possesses the ability to control and move flames. He does not require physical contact with the fire in order to do this, but his control over flames does not extend beyond a range of ten feet from his body.

In a controlled environment, Robertson was able to raise the air temperature in a nearby, contained area to almost three thousand degrees Kelvin. Concealing the area from his sight did not stop the temperature from rising, though it did cause the air temperature outside of the contained area to begin to rise as well. He can also create fire in a similar manner. Analysis staff concluded that Robertson can manipulate the molecules in the air and cause them to vibrate at an increased rate, eventually resulting in combustion and flames. When he loses focus, such as when his vision is blocked for example, more and more molecules are affected as Robertson must estimate where the area should be.

Robertson did not possess the above ability from birth, in fact he is adamant that he learned how to manipulate molecules in that way through years of practice with his pyrokinesis. The analysis team notes that Defenders and others with abilities are able to increase in power over time given enough experience and personal training. While no on board propulsion system exists in Robertson's Heat Wave armor, he can create rocket-like propulsion by manifesting fire and thermal force below the soles of the armor's feet and on the palms of the armor's hands. This allows him to fly at speeds in excess of one hundred and twenty miles per hour depending on how much thermal force Robertson creates, though maneuverability is increasingly lacking at higher speeds. The suit can also withstand temperatures up to four thousand degrees Kelvin, sub-zero temperatures down to negative sixty degrees Fahrenheit, physical strikes of up to two thousand tons of force, and is impervious to bullets. He is constantly searching for ways to improve his armor to make it stronger. The psychologist on staff advises that his desire for more defense borders on obsession and also theorizes that it may be due to a fear of losing control of his own pyrokinesis again, which nearly killed him at age eighteen.

For the above reasons, and due to his inexperience in the field, it is recommended by the analysis staff that Christopher Robertson be considered a high risk Defender. He should be monitored closely and registered in Class B.
